No. Press play on any station and it streams in this browser — on a phone, a tablet or a computer. There is no download, no account and no sign-up. The app is only for what a browser cannot do: playing with the screen off, in the car, on a watch, or as an alarm.

Yes — free on the web and free in the app. No ads, no subscription, no account, and nothing about you is tracked or sold. Every station streams straight from the broadcaster.

Yes. Most FM and AM broadcasters simulcast their transmission over the internet, and that is the stream you hear here — the same programme, at the same moment, wherever you are. Internet-only stations, which never had a transmitter, are listed alongside them.

A live audio stream you tune into rather than a file you download. Like FM, it plays whatever is on right now and you cannot rewind it; unlike FM, it reaches you anywhere with a connection instead of only inside a transmitter's range.

Stations from 159 countries in 64 languages — Brazil, Germany, France, Mexico, United Kingdom, Spain, India, Italy, Argentina and Netherlands hold the most. The Indian-language catalogue is the deepest you will find anywhere: Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi, Urdu and more.

Stations go off air, change their stream address or block listeners outside their country, and nobody tells a directory when they do. Melo checks every stream regularly and hides the dead ones, but a station can fail between checks. Try another; the catalogue is rechecked often.
