   Balance Selections 386: Fernando Olaya

Fernando Olaya is no stranger to Balance audiences. At the start of 2026, he made his debut with the label through the four-track ‘We Were Never Lost’ EP, a collaborative release that connected him with several fellow Colombian producers. That release sits within a steadily growing catalogue that has seen his music appear across some of progressive house’s most established platforms. [PREVIEW] D-SHIFT - Hikari

On the optimistic ‘Hikari’, a rolling bassline drives the track forward with an infectious low-end pulse that will be difficult to ignore on the dancefloor. A stretched vocal sample drifts across uplifting melodic keys, creating a genuine feeling of space and freedom. In Japanese, hikari means “light”, a word often associated with hope, positivity and clarity. It’s a fitting title for a track that channels those exact qualities.

   [PREVIEW] D-SHIFT - Find A Way

Lead cut ‘Find a Way’ draws on the genre’s classic foundations, built around a warm vocal sample and bubbling synths. A beautifully measured breakdown opens the track up, as melodic layers gather around the vocal before the groove locks back into place. It’s A-grade dancefloor material, with enough presence to become the defining moment of a set. @drunkenkongjp
