Episode notes

This season on Blood Trails, host Jordan Sillars follows eight brand-new cases: hunting trips gone horribly wrong, decades-old disappearances, suspicious deaths, and crimes hidden deep in the woods. Some cases are ice cold. Others have been solved—at least, according to the law. But every case in Season 3 is still haunted by unanswered questions. Through firsthand interviews, archival audio, court records, and investigative reporting, Blood Trails digs into what happened, what may have been missed, and why these stories still refuse to stay buried. Speaker 1:You know, the woods tells a story. Scavengers, clothes pulled apart. Something's going to tell a story. There's going to be clues. Something's missing with this one.

Speaker 2:Every hunter knows the woods leave signs, tracks, broken branches, blood. Evidence of where something went and what happened when it got there. But some trails are harder to follow.

Speaker 3:We just heard gunshots like bang, bang, bang, bang. My buddy comes out of the woods and he says, your dad's dead, my dad's dead, they're all effing dead.

Speaker 2:This season on Blood Trails, a confrontation between hunters explodes into one of the deadliest crimes ever committed in the American woods.

Speaker 1:Can you tell me if on that day Joseph Corrado deserved to die? Yes.

Speaker 2:A high school senior disappears during a Halloween hunting trip.

Speaker 1:I believe someone at the cabin knew something happened to Noel. I don't know who would want him dead, though.

Speaker 2:A prosecutor opens an old case file in Montana and finds a death he can't explain.

Speaker 3:Who throws their dead family member in a Suburban and drives him straight.

Speaker 1:To the funeral home?

Speaker 3:The husband of this dead wife immediately calling his mistress from the funeral home. So that's kind of the head scratcher.

Speaker 2:This season on Blood Trails, eight new cases from the places hunters know best. Some solved, some cold, but all still haunted by questions. Each story is proof that when violence happens beyond the pavement, the woods may hide the truth, but they also leave a trail. I'm Jordan Sillars, and this is Blood Trails. Season three launches on October 15th on Apple, iHeart, YouTube, or wherever you get your podcasts.
