SPEAKER_03:So you have this um exercise and self-discovery, let's call it. That you that you like to do and have others do.
SPEAKER_01:Yes.
SPEAKER_03:Basically, you write down everything you believe in. Don't censor any of your contradictions or inconsistencies. You include all of that. Right?
SPEAKER_05:Every last bit of it.
SPEAKER_03:Yep. Explain this. What's the purpose? How do you do it?
SPEAKER_05:Well, first of all, you we gotta think about how we pick up our beliefs. All right. Do we actually believe this stuff, or is this the stuff that people we like says and it sounds good, but we don't actually believe it. Right. Uh you know, how much we actually pick up, all right? I I'll give you an example here, all right. In my twenties, if I would have done this, I probably would have, or I did, should I say. I uh one of the first things I put down was I believed in the threefold law.
SPEAKER_04:Right.
SPEAKER_05:In my twenties. Okay. Now again, in my twenties, yes, I actually believed in it. I thought there was some form of karma and all this, but now in my 50s, I look at it and go, hmm, I was childish to think such things existed.
SPEAKER_04:Right.
SPEAKER_05:Did I I no? So here's the interesting question on this. Did I actually believe in the threefold law? Or did I not?
SPEAKER_03:Well, I can't answer that for you, but I would venture to say at the time you probably did.
SPEAKER_05:Or at least I thought I did.
SPEAKER_03:Again, that's that's tomato tomato.
SPEAKER_05:That's semantics. Again, that's semantics. I don't miss that.
SPEAKER_03:That's semantics. Um, it's I think I don't know. I think at some point when you start out with something, you do believe it. Right. It's like it's like being in love for the first time when you're a kid.
SPEAKER_05:Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_03:And I say kid, I'm talking like preteens. When you get to it, was it really love or was it just a crush? Well, to you just a situation. Or just to but to you at that time, it was love.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_03:It's what you thought love was, so you believed it. So that's the definition I'm gonna go with. So because that's what you thought about the threefold law, and that's what you thought about paganism, that's what you believed.
SPEAKER_05:Well, uh well, again, it's the same argument about believing in Santa Claus. I mean, yes, kids believe in Santa Claus, and as they get older, they start to realize, well, there's a lot of impossibilities to this, too. Oh, we're gonna go around the whole entire world to give kid toys to kids around the world and even those that don't celebrate Christmas.
SPEAKER_01:Right. What?
SPEAKER_05:So, yeah. But see, that's what part of this is, is that you're you're you might start off believing in something, and later on, as you get older, those beliefs fall away. It it's easy as a kid to go, oh, we have a homeless problem. Look at all these homeless houses, look at all these empty houses. Just put the homeless people in the houses. Right. Because at no point are you asking the following questions. Well, who's gonna maintain the houses? Who's gonna clean the houses?
unknown:Right.
SPEAKER_05:You know, what happens if something breaks? What happens with the property taxes? What about power?
SPEAKER_03:What about the laundry list? There's a laundry list.
SPEAKER_05:Well, and that's what part of this is about is first of all, getting to what you actually believe in. Those things that you wouldn't give up that still make sense, that still work for you. Right. But most people don't understand that. And here's what I see, and this is why I like this that because most people I see they like the idea of Wicca. They might like the idea of what they think a craft is, or they might like the idea of what a coven really is.
SPEAKER_05:But again, they're dealing in sort of in a fantasy because are you sure your beliefs match with those people?
SPEAKER_03:Well, that's that's where I mean it's again, it is a personal journey. This is that's where this whole self-discovery thing comes in. It's not for me to say or for you to say these people are living a delusion.
SPEAKER_05:I I didn't no no, I didn't say they were delivering a delusion. I'm just saying they believe different.
SPEAKER_03:Right. Well, that's where I'm going with this, you know. It's 'cause a lot of people are gonna say, Well, you you can't tell me that. Well, it's it's a question that's being posed, so yeah, we can we can ask that question. Is it really something you believe? Or well, I'm gonna put it to you this way.
SPEAKER_05:Here's my point, all right? Now let's take the example let's take the example of reincarnation, all right? Right now, a lot of people have a lot of different theories on how reincarnation works.
SPEAKER_03:There are so many other some right.
SPEAKER_05:I I so again, I'm and I'm not I'm not knocking any one theory here, okay? I'm just going through them. Some people believe you're you only reincarnate as human, some people believe you can only reincarnate in the sex that you are now, that for all eternity you will only reincarnate as a boy or a girl.
SPEAKER_03:Right, whatever you are now, that's what you reincarnated.
SPEAKER_05:All right. Some people, some traditions believe, hey, you know what? You start off as animals and you work your way up. Some believe, hey, you can actually jump back and forth and all that. Why be part of a religion that's belief in this reincarnation doesn't match up to what you believe? I don't understand why in the world you would follow a religion that says, okay, we say reincarnation works the complete opposite of what you think. Do you see what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_05:I'm not saying one side's right or not. I'm just I'm looking at the mismatch of person to belief. But there's the problem. Most people don't understand what they believe. What part of reincarnations do you actually believe in?
SPEAKER_03:So this is this is where writing down those inconsistencies, those contradictions come in. That's like putting pieces of a puzzle together.
SPEAKER_05:Right. What you actually believe. I mean, and again, we're not talking about wrong or right here, all right? I'm just saying this is people's different theories on this. And if you're wanting to be part of Wicca, and I'm just using it as an example, and Wicca says no, you only reincarnate as a human. We never move from male or female. Why would you join that? There's a part of you that don't match up to what's actually believed to hear.
SPEAKER_04:Right.
SPEAKER_05:And and and to add insult to injury, is this not why you probably left your current religion?
SPEAKER_03:I mean, it probably is.
SPEAKER_05:Because you don't actually believe in these things. So I so I ask people, what do you actually believe in? You know, what what are those values and stuff that you will defend to the bitter end? And to make it even worse, this process, this also teaches us why we believe what we believe. When you do have two different contradictory, you know, I believe in karma, but I also believe in free will to a certain extent. Or better example, I take that back.
SPEAKER_05:Let's do a better example. All right. I believe in destiny. Okay. I believe in free will. There's a problem with this. To have destiny, there cannot be no free will. Your plan has to be pre-planned.
SPEAKER_03:Right.
SPEAKER_05:If you're destined for something you have no free will, it's done.
SPEAKER_03:Right.
SPEAKER_05:So here you have a contradiction.
SPEAKER_03:So hell yeah, how can you believe in destiny and in free will at the same time?
SPEAKER_05:In free will at the same time. These are the now, these are real questions that you need to ask yourself. How can you do this? You either have to rectify the two things and sit there and go, well, either some people are are bound to destiny and some people aren't. And if you're special and bound to a certain destiny, is it really of your own free choice? Do you do you understand how believing in these two things sort of contradicts each other? And I I'm sorry, there's no solution.
SPEAKER_05:There's not. I don't know. I don't I know no tradition that has solved that problem.
SPEAKER_03:I don't think well, I don't think there's any solution to it except on a personal level. And that's where this extra that's where this exercise comes in. But you're not just doing this once, you're doing this, you can do it daily, you can do it monthly, weekly, whatever.
SPEAKER_05:I I would suggest you do this once, wait a year, then go back and do it again and see how much you've changed. And I I would sit there and suggest you do this once a year.
SPEAKER_03:Or better yet, anytime you come across something that might challenge the way you think you believe, just go ahead and write it down and go ahead and compare it to what was there before.
SPEAKER_05:Thank you. I mean, because I I've seen a lot of people, and I'm not going to sit here and say I haven't done it to myself, that I will be sitting here watching YouTube or something like that, and somebody talking about an occult or uh philosophy or a cult philosophy or whatever, and I'll agree with them. Now, with that said, and be like, no, this makes sense. I understand the whole nine yards, and then five minutes later be watching a video that says the same thing, going, Well, yes, this I understand too.
SPEAKER_05:This makes sense.
SPEAKER_04:Right.
SPEAKER_05:But at no time am I really sitting there thinking about the first video that just basically said the complete opposite I agreed with.
SPEAKER_04:Yep.
SPEAKER_05:But if I was, but if I'm doing this process, I would have written down, hey, you know what? This is what this guy said, blah, blah, blah. And then when I saw the second video, wrote down my little notes about that, I would have noticed these two contradict each other, and I need to start working on something. Why am I agreeing with both these guys? Right. There's the interesting question. Why am I? What is it? Here's the real answer, and this is what probably gonna piss off a lot of people.
SPEAKER_05:Sometimes the real answer is both people are both right and wrong at the same time. They only have half the equation. If you put them together, right, it sort of starts making better sense when you're going to go, but if we adjust for oh, there we go.
SPEAKER_03:There's that witch logic again. Thank you.
SPEAKER_05:Follow the bouncing witch logic. Right. As it bounces all over the room, and it looks random. Because don't get me wrong, Lady, I used to piss off Lady Keegan doing that. She'd be like, I do not see how in the world you do that. We will sit here and have a conversation for an hour. I'll ask you a question about something. You will go all the way out to left field.
SPEAKER_04:Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_05:And I'll be thinking, okay, what does this have to do with what you're talking about? And then by the end of the conversation, you've done pulled that left field into my right field going, this is how they're connected. Right. Yep. Because this is what this process sort of teaches you to do. If we don't understand them processes in ourselves, how are we supposed to help somebody else? If you don't understand what you believe in and why you believe in it, it's really hard to sit there and stand up for those beliefs.
SPEAKER_03:Well, and what about any do you have any methods for helping to identify patterns or inconsistencies?
SPEAKER_05:I don't know if it's a me thing or anything else, all right? So I tend to like to look at what the whole system's doing and forgetting names. If I'm sitting here and I'm looking at patterns or the way we're supposed to encraft about, okay, you start out as a kid and you go to an adult.
SPEAKER_04:Right.
SPEAKER_05:That formula is pretty much laid out there. This cycle repeats over and over again. Every kid turns into an adult. Right. That's what I do. I tend to like looking at those patterns from a very far off and drop all the pretenses and stuff like this and wordage, because people like to use wordage a lot to make you think one thing to another where they're saying one thing. Uh, I'll give you an example. Um sitting here listening to a guy and he gives off all these uh scientific facts.
SPEAKER_05:Well, coffee really don't dehydrate you. Yes, you can do this, salt's actually good for you, and all this other stuff. And they were real, honest to goodness facts.
SPEAKER_04:Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_05:Then what does he do? He asks a question which Lynn where the answer is an opinion poll. What's he doing here? He's trying to make people think an opinion is the same thing as the scientific fact. Right. I see the manipulation here because I've seen this as a system. I'm seeing, I'm looking at what he's doing, not what he's saying. Pretty much. Uh am I making sense there?
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, yeah. It's it's going beyond, like you said, the wordage. It's not necessarily focusing on the words, it's focusing on what he's doing. Like how he's leaving what right, the presentation. We'll call it the presentation.
SPEAKER_05:Right, because again, in my brain, the first thing I do is, okay, you're telling all these scientific facts, but and I'm not saying those scientific facts are wrong. I'm saying they're actually right, but why? Right. Why do that? Why start your speech off this way? And then it becomes very obvious as soon as he switches to and he slips in the word opinion poll. Well, an opinion poll isn't the same thing as the fact because opinions can change based on the weather.
SPEAKER_03:Right. And they do all the time.
SPEAKER_05:But you know what don't change? Our actual beliefs. If you really do believe in reincarnation, regardless of how it works for you, nobody can ever actually take that away from you.
SPEAKER_03:Well, and that was that was gonna be something else I wanted to talk about. How can we identify what's really our belief and something that's been inherited or adopted or anything along those lines?
SPEAKER_05:Well, I'm gonna sit here. If you listen to all the reasons not to believe in it and you keep on rejecting them because they really don't make sense to you, or the logic don't seem to hold up, guess that means you actually believe in reincarnation. If anybody's ever tried to debate or argue with a Christian that actually believes in what they believe, you know you're like you know you're arguing with the wall to start with. Right. Because everything you say in their mind is irrational, illogical, and don't make no sense.
SPEAKER_05:Right. Because I I'm I'm sorry, a Christian looks at me going, well, how can you have objective reality or objective the moral worlds without God? It's objective. At the end of the day, I don't need God to come down here to tell me fire's hot and water's wet and trees good. Right. I I can that's what the word objective means to me. But getting them to understand it is not gonna ever happen because their logic supersedes what the world I'm saying.
SPEAKER_05:And I'm also saying this also works the other way around.
SPEAKER_03:Sure it does, yeah.
SPEAKER_05:For us. Their logic's not going to, their what they think is logic's not going to break through to us because we don't see their logic. Or we see it, we just reject it out and out. It's not a bad thing or a good thing, it's just what it is. Right. It's the same argument I hear between Christians and atheists all the time. Atheists are just like, quit trying to push your religion on us. You know, and and what do I keep on hearing? I I I've said I'm sorry, I for some reason I've been uh watching TikTok here.
SPEAKER_05:Oh god, I need to delete it off my computer. I I see the same questions. Christians popping up on this thing, going, Why can't you believe in God? Why do you hate him so much? And all the atheists saying the same thing. We don't hate him, we just don't believe in them. Right. And you seem a little arrogant by continuously pushing this issue where all we want you to do is just stop with us.
SPEAKER_03:Right. We don't care what you do with anybody else, but just stop with us.
SPEAKER_05:I don't and again, in the pagan community, I'm sort of at the same point. We had pushing it on there is not helping. You're not changing our mind. It's the same thing. This is what I believe in, this is why. And no, that logic does not translate to everybody. Your personal correspondences and personal beliefs are not universal. Right. Never have been. Never have been, never will. Never will be, yep. That's life. That's what it's like to be an individual.
SPEAKER_03:I mean, that's what it's all about, right?
SPEAKER_05:So if you see how much this process of stuff it brings up, all right, this is where I think people need to start before they before you buy crystals, before you think about that first cleansing, this is where you need to start.
SPEAKER_03:Well, yeah, this is this is pretty much the foundation of whatever it is you're building. Right. And if you start with a solid foundation to begin with, then you don't have all this, well, I don't know about this, and I don't know about that, and all these other doubtful thoughts that come into your head, this if you do this, this is creating that solid foundation for everything.
SPEAKER_05:All right. And and again, we're not talking, this is not something you should share. This is not something, God forbid, if you do it out on YouTube or TikTok or whatever, be prepared. People are gonna think you're nuts.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah, be prepared. For sure.
SPEAKER_05:All right, because again, you you're gonna have things there where people are gonna be like, Well, you can't put this and this together. That's cultural, all that's irrelevant.
SPEAKER_03:Now, with that said, I mean, it could be interesting for for people to see you going through that process and to hear your thoughts and to see how you've changed.
SPEAKER_05:And how you slowly change over time, right?
SPEAKER_03:So, yeah, that could be an interesting part of this, and it may benefit somebody else. But just be aware. But there's a bad you're probably gonna get a lot of flack, right? There's a dark side to this. Right.
SPEAKER_05:Because you're gonna have a lot of people going, you're gonna have a lot of people going, well, you can't do that, you can't do that, you can't, you cannot mix voodoo in with this, blah, blah, blah, because of blah, blah, blah.
SPEAKER_03:It's a closed practice.
SPEAKER_05:It's this exercise has nothing to do with any of that stuff. No, it doesn't. Throw all that out the door. Don't worry about any of it.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, this is this is where you're getting rid of the walls and the boundaries and all that other BS, and you're just getting to the core of what it is you believe.
SPEAKER_05:When we all sit there and go, Murder's bad, why? Why do you believe it's bad? What's the real reason? Right. I mean, and I don't care about the reason. The reason could be I just don't like hurting people. I don't want to be hurt, so I don't want to hurt no one else. That is a very justified answer for me. I right.
SPEAKER_03:Have a reason, have something that you can stand behind.
SPEAKER_05:Right. I I don't care what it is. If you just sit there, go it's wrong and it does not it does not help the survival of humanity. Okay.
unknown:Yep.
SPEAKER_05:It's what You believe in and why? Who am I to sit there and judge that? Right. I mean, these these to me, I mean, while they seem like simple answers, and believe it or not, sometimes the answers are simple. Sometimes they are. They don't have to be complicated. Yes, I believe in reincarnation because I believe it makes sense. It's what I feel. Not because anybody's proven anything. It makes sense to me.
SPEAKER_03:Right. That's not because some guru somewhere told you that.
SPEAKER_05:Or somebody laid out this wonderful logic thing going, here's how this works and why in the world you should believe in it.
SPEAKER_03:Right.
SPEAKER_05:That's not why I believe in that.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah. The whole thing here is we are not here to tell you what to believe or how to believe it.
SPEAKER_05:We're here to get you to understand why you believe you believe in these things. Right. Why you do. Right. Not me.
SPEAKER_03:Because again, it's all about self-discovery. It's all about building a more authentic belief system that you had that you can stand behind.
SPEAKER_05:If you have a religion that upholds your morals, that's going to that's going to install more values in your life.
SPEAKER_03:Yes.
SPEAKER_05:It's going to make you want to be a better person. It's going to make you want to follow those morals and ethics. Because again, you have a better understanding of why I'm why I behave the way I have I behave. Why do I get upset when somebody says X, but I don't get upset when somebody says Y?
SPEAKER_04:Right.
SPEAKER_05:These are very valuable questions that as a spiritual person you should be asking yourself. And you you sort of need to pull it. Why why does somebody sitting here telling me that the threefold law is bull make me so upset?
SPEAKER_01:Mm-hmm. What about a what about the triggers? Yeah.
SPEAKER_05:Right. Does it trigger? Because deep down there's a contradiction there that they're pointing out that upsets my belief system.
SPEAKER_01:Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_05:And if it does, what do I need to look at? Because we're too busy blaming everybody else. Is it was his fault for bringing it up to begin with?
SPEAKER_03:Right. Yeah, we need to get away from that.
SPEAKER_05:We need to get away from that. And start asking ourselves, why did I behave that way?
SPEAKER_03:Mm-hmm. Why was my reaction to this statement the way it was?
SPEAKER_05:What why did I have an emotional reaction? Why did I not actually have a rational, logical? Because when I'm sitting at home thinking about it and I'm thinking about that conversation, I'm rational, I'm logical. When the conversation I actually have, I'm a complete idiot, and now the other person's a complete rational person.
SPEAKER_03:Right. Why does that happen? There's something I need to work on. For sure. There.
SPEAKER_01:Right.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, I mean, and and honestly, this is this is the whole value of accepting those contradictions. Accept them as part of being human, as part of being who you are.
SPEAKER_05:Right. And believe it or not, there's nothing wrong with looking at people going, yes, I believe in X and I believe in Y. And somebody goes, Well, those contradicts each other. Yes, I know. Yes. Yes, I know.
SPEAKER_03:And no, there's nothing wrong with that.
SPEAKER_05:There's nothing wrong with that answer. Yes. I mean, I would rather you say yes, I know they contradict each other.
SPEAKER_03:But it works.
SPEAKER_05:Leave it at that. But it but it works for me. Somehow. I mean, because I I don't know about you, but when I've had those moments where I've had those things, what I've noticed is over time I realize, hey, you know what? I use Y more than I do X. So do I really believe in X when I'm making a decision?
SPEAKER_03:Yep.
SPEAKER_05:I I you know I rarely use that filter I say I believe in to look at things. Why? Because it's really not something I believe in. That's why then there's a contradiction.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, and honestly, it's happened so many times over the years, which is why it's important to go back and review these things. If you do this exercise and just constantly review it.
SPEAKER_05:Because here, make it even more. There's even one other problem there, because when you're doing this, you're gonna realize okay, I have a concept of what I believe in, right? Regardless of the concept. But when you actually go to look up the concept itself, the original concept, you realize it's nothing to what in the world you actually believe in. Right. Because you're actually writing down the wrong concept because it's a different concept that somebody called the same name or sort of.
SPEAKER_05:And you'll find that out real fast. Oh, I've been calling this reincarnation is really Zambue. Right. I just make it up shit.
SPEAKER_01:Right.
SPEAKER_05:You with what I'm saying there. I I believe doing this practice all this time did something. Then I find out it really was a joke to begin with, or something, and that's why it seems contradicted to everything. So yeah. It gets you a chance to look those up. It gives you a chance to go, okay, let me look this specific theory up and see what originally was going on. What does everybody else say about this? And what in my understanding of it? Where where might I be going wrong or didn't quite understand?
SPEAKER_03:Right. And we're not saying we're also not saying don't share it with anybody. You know, if you want to if you have a close circle of friends and you discover something, I mean, when usually when we have an epiphany of some kind, as humans, we want to share that with somebody. Oh god. By all means, share it. Talk about it with other people. It's gonna help solidify what you believe. It may they may bring up something that you didn't think about in the process, and it may further change what you thought you believed in.
SPEAKER_05:Well look I'm gonna be honest, I'm gonna be honest. Pagan coffee talk on Reddit, our subreddit, it besides being filled with, you know, us putting out our episodes, links, uh is is me just putting out weird theories to see if anybody will bite and tell me what they think of them. It's all my strange half-bake stuff to wear in the world. I can't really do a lot of research. And I thought of this, and I want to debate people, I want to honestly debate people because that's part of that process.
SPEAKER_05:Me talking to other people.
SPEAKER_04:Right.
SPEAKER_05:Here's my theory and all this, and how does this interact with your belief system? How does this work with you? Right. You know, unfortunately, unfortunately, yes, Reddit seems to bring out the high schooler and every damn body.
SPEAKER_03:Well, that's not necessarily that's not necessarily a bad thing every time, but you know.
SPEAKER_05:But but it's not good to actually be able to have a debate about an actual debate and theory on theories. Instead, you get the high school thing going, but that's beside the point. Sometimes, yeah. But but but I again my my automatic reaction is yeah, I I normally I want to debate somebody. I want to talk to somebody about it. Right. I I want somebody to try to rip this new theory apart, and I'm all excited about it.
SPEAKER_03:Right.
SPEAKER_05:But I'm a weirdo.
SPEAKER_03:Well, and then by the same token, you you're not, you know, you don't want people who are just gonna at some point in the conversation just tap out because you're you know, you're being kind of relentless in your in your uh yes in in your belief.
SPEAKER_05:In your in your beliefs going, okay, I understand what you're saying about A, but then there's B and then there's C and all this other stuff. So how does and if you're saying this, what about this? And I I I don't consider that an argument, I consider that a debate. As long as you're staying in the right system.
SPEAKER_04:Right.
SPEAKER_05:But again, if you're sitting there and you're spending more time going, well, you know, it's a three, and you know, over here's a four, and if this four and this, if this three and this four don't match up, so therefore these are not the same, uh that's where I'm like, no, I'm taking an I'm taking a step back farther than you are.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah. Well, and I think and it's uh we've gotten a little off topic here, but I think a lot of that a lot of that when you're when you're sharing information with people, it kind of relates, but when you're sharing that information with people, if things if you start noticing circular logic it's about time for being used, then it's time to stop that conversation because it's right not gonna go anywhere. And that works for both sides of this conversation.
SPEAKER_03:If yeah, if if whoever is is forming the debate, whether it be you or you know somebody else, but say you, for instance, on your Reddit post, if you start using circular logic, I'm gonna advise anybody else, step out of that conversation because it's gonna go absolutely nowhere.
SPEAKER_05:Well, again, I'm I'm not saying that I haven't had some of these conversations online, but yes, when it gets to a certain point of you're not listening to what I'm saying, I'm hearing what you're saying and keep on saying, no, I understand, but you're not addressing this and you're staying on your point. I'm like, there's no use. Right. You're you're stuck in that circular logic, you're stuck on this, you're too busy worried about the number count where I'm looking at the process.
SPEAKER_03:Right. Well, I was trying to relate it to this exercise, and when you share it with other people, you want your sharing to be beneficial.
SPEAKER_05:Right. You don't want it to be this where people are more in the weeds on this than actually what you're actually talking about. Right. And that's where a lot of problems with what you believe. Don't get me wrong. This process seems a little bit different when you're sitting down with your covenant members going, hey, this is what I wrote down, and blah, blah, blah.
SPEAKER_01:Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_05:Because more likely, especially if I'm your teacher, they probably have the same exact assignments somewhere in their books. Oh, I'm sure, yeah. Doing the exact same thing. So again, it's a whole lot easier to do it that way because again, y'all both know what you're doing. Doing it out on Reddit or something, you're always gonna run into that one problem that's like, I ain't got a clue what's going on, but I put my two cents in where anyway.
SPEAKER_03:Right. It's kind of it's definitely a benefit of being in a group of familiar people.
SPEAKER_05:Yes. Again, this this community's a good thing.
SPEAKER_03:Right. All right. Anything else?
SPEAKER_05:We have gone way off topic. We have.
SPEAKER_03:I think it's about time to wrap this up and go get some coffee.
SPEAKER_01:Thank you.

Drawing directly from lived experience, the conversation examines how charlatans, ego‑driven “gurus,” and widespread mistrust pushed many traditional covens underground—removing the very guidance new practitioners relied on, and how this shift created decades of confusion, contradictory in...

Misconceptions About Wisdom in Paganism
Send us Fan Mail In this conversation, we dive deep into the difference between knowledge, wisdom, and intuition within modern paganism. We explore why wisdom can’t be gained from books alone, emphasizing that true understanding comes from experience, mistakes, and lived practice. We highlight how the community often confuses study with mastery, treating degrees, titles, and online content as proof of wisdom rather than evidence of effort. The episode also examines the role—and limits—o...
