PSG started the new year 2025 in style by winning the Trophée des Champions in their first match of the year. The match was played in Doha, Qatar and unsurprisingly there was some controversy and finger pointing around this matter. We talk about the context and the match itself and of course have a look into the realistic expectations of January transfer window. Hopefully you enjoy the episode. PSG beat Lyon last weekend and is on a course to end the year 2024 in style. There are two more matches and admittedly both of them are pretty demanding, but where are we know and how does the team look as we approach 2025? Hopefully you enjoy the episode. After a quick look into the match against Angers, we dive deep into our Champions League struggles and conclude that actually, PSG's European issues aren't as bad as you might think they are. But what needs to change and how this could have been avoided? And PSG's goalkeeper question: is Gianluigi Donnarumma worth a contract extension or not? Hopefully you enjoy the episode. It’s not directly a PSG review, but nevertheless a topic worth covering: Ballon d’or needs to be abolished and we will list the many reasons why it’s become an issue for the beautiful game. We talk about beating Marseille in Ligue 1 at Stade Velodrome and all the other topics that have come up in the past days. Hopefully you enjoy the episode. PSG took on Strasbourg with a heavily rotated squad after the international break and kept the three points in the city of lights ahead of the UEFA Champions League night against PSV Eindhoven and later in the week, a trip to south to play Le Classique at the Stade Velodrome. Needles to say, both matches are must-win! We have some news about extensions and other talking points in this show and we also get an update of the latest chaos in the PSG women's team. Hopefully you enjoy the episode. Feel free to like, subscribe, rate and whatever else there is to do, if you so feel inclined and find…

In this episode of PSG review we talk about how despite the many injuries, PSG is able to prove its form against Rennes in Ligue 1 only days before travelling to London to play against Arsenal in the Champions League. We talk about what is needed to do well against the English side and also, how important is this match for us? Has UEFA failed to deliver us the one thing with this new format that they promised? We also cover the omni-shambles of our women's team as all things fell apart against Juventus and we are missing an entire UWCL campaign this season. Hopefully you enjoy the episode.…

In this episode of PSG review we have a very special guest Mike McNally who has years of experience from sports business in North America. Mike is a PSG fan, but he brings his understanding of how sport works on this level into his analysis making it an insight worth your while. We talk about the Champions League draw and what to expect, the transfers and the team as it is plus a quick conversation whether Kylian Mbappé played PSG or not in his exit negotiations. Also in this show we talk briefly about the women’s team preseason and their victorious trip to Perth, Australia where they beat…
Isn’t it fun to watch football when your favourite team actually works. Team work is the key for a positive start of the season as we are taking a step away from individual brilliance and banking on cohesion and collective push. Of course PSG have many brilliant players, but the egos are manageable. We are in this together, or so it seems. Big words to describe this episode, but there’s a lot to go through as we have embarked on this new journey under the instructions by Luis Enrique. We talk about him, but also the whole squad from Lee Kong In and Bradley Barcola to Désiré Doué and Warren…
In this episode of PSG review we talk about our new player - even if not yet announced at the time of recording - Desiré Doué, our new minority shareholder Kevin Durant and the dream to achieve something very special in this upcoming season. What does the squad look like and where are our strengths and weaknesses? Of course we cover the transfer reports, women’s team and even take a quick look at the Olympics as they were in town. New season is about to start. We are feeling very excited so press play and share with anyone who is interested in Paris Saint-Germain. Hopefully you enjoy the…
In this new episode of PSG review we cover the first friendly of this uncharacteristically short preseason for our Parisians. We discuss the arrival of Willian Pacho to Paris and check what is happening on the transfer front as the season proper is one week away and mercato closes in less than a month. What is needed and what isn't as our frontline has experienced a liberation from one star man and his impact. Of course also his goals are absent... the full analysis is in this show. Hopefully you enjoy the episode. Feel free to like, subscribe, rate and whatever else there is to do, if you…
João Neves has arrived to Paris and that is only one of the things we will talk about as we preview the upcoming season with Lee Davey. PSG midfield is stacjed with options, but what are the strengths and are there any weaknesses? Our defence seems to be even weaker than last season when we were struggling with it. We are speculating on what to do in the final month of the transfer window and how about considering some of the grand old men of European football. Namely: Pepe and Mats Hummels. Not likely, I admit, but a curious thought experiment. How will PSG attack line up in its new era and…
Where to even start with this episode. Everything is new and all seems possible. Well, not everything is actually, literally new, but there's a new era upon us and that's quite exciting. We look into how PSG players did in the Euros and Copa America very much including the heroics of the fresh continental champion Fabian Ruiz who surprised us all by being possibly even the best player of the tournament! I am not a betting man, but even if I was, I doubt that I would have put many euros on that. We talk about the transfer rumours, the preseason, and women's team including new players like…
Transfer window is opening and the rumours are all over the shop. It's a big circus and we - the fans - are the clowns in it. It's a great episode with a lot of topics to cover. - State of PSG ahead of mercato - transfer talk - Should PSG let Barcola & WZE play #ParisOlympics - Review of the first six months of Lucas Beraldo .... and more. Hopefully you enjoy the episode. Feel free to like, subscribe, rate and whatever else there is to do, if you so feel inclined and find us on Twitter @psgreviewpod and on Instagram as…
In this episode we focus on PSG's readiness on Coupe de France final. It's a competition that the team hasn't been able to win for two seasons and next weekend we will play Olympique Lyonnais in Lille for the honour to lift this trophy that has a special place in PSG's history. We also cover the talking points and ask, are our players still ready and motivated. There are big questions marks on Kylian Mbappé, but also now Ousmane Dembele. A quick recap of the Metz clash that finished the League campaign for the season and PSG women wrapped up their season so we have a look at the big picture…
In this episode of PSG review we have a full analysis of Kylian Mbappé as he says bye bye to the club and its fans. In the end - and perhaps all the time - a very divisive character. A brilliant, but not flawless footballer and a complex personality who perhaps an out of steam in the final months. Or maybe he was too focused on his future as we know he always was. We also talk about the uninspired match against Toulouse and the trophy celebrations. Pay homage to the voice of the Parc des Princes Michel Montana and discuss another mystery man in the world of football - Xavi Simons. Can we…
Borussia Dortmund was the better team in two legs of Champions League semifinals, but somehow this was an uncharacteristically hopeful end to PSG's European campaign this season. If you would've told me last June that we play 12 matches in the Champions League and compete for the final, I think I would've been very happy. We have an early analysis of the season and talk about whether Mbappé let himself and us down and why that could have been plus all the talking points of Paris Saint-Germain. Hopefully you enjoy the episode. Feel free to like, subscribe, rate and whatever else there is to…
PSG leaves Lyon absolutely no chance for points at Parc des Princes on Sunday that wrapped up the week that remains in the history of the club. We also look into Dortmund in this episode and women's UWCL semi-final - also against Olympique Lyonnais. Hopefully you enjoy the episode. Paris Saint-Germain beat FC Barcelona to secure its place in the Champions League semi-finals this year. What a night it was in Catalunya for our Parisiens. Certainly one that we will remember for years to come. We look at all the talking points, lessons learned and big ideas from this match. Hopefully you enjoy the episode. Feel free to like, subscribe, rate and whatever else there is to do, if you so feel inclined and find us on Twitter @psgreviewpod and on Instagram as @psgreview PSG review on TikTok…
PSG was unsuccesful in defeating FC Barcelona at Parc des Princes. It was an opportunity missed and now a sizable step up is required to reach the UEFA Champions League semifinals. Not's not easy, but it's not impossible eaither. We also talk about Marquinhos and his brand new club record with most matches played, a little bit about Danilo and what is the future of Ethan Mbappé? That's a good question. Last week some Ligue 1 club directors were making critical and snarky comments about PSG - why and was it worth it. Listen to find out. Hopefully you enjoy the episode. Feel free to like,…
In this episodes we look into Le Classique against Marseille and how PSG beat them well and truly with 10 players on the pitch for 50 minutes out of 90 and all this in front of 60 000 fuming fans. The red card involved some drama as you would imagine and we look into it all. After the match Kylian Mbappé posted a photograph of himself solemnly walking with a captain's armband in his hand in Marseille rain at the Stade de Velodrome. A very melancholic and dramatic image no doubt, but how do we read it while his team mates were celebrating the excellent victory over the arch-rivals. PSG women…
This episode of PSG review revolves around one basic principle: If we have the mentality, we will have the quality! This of course is in reference not only to our Champions League quarter finals against FC Barcelona, but for the rest of the season in general. We cover the main topics and then some with a little bit of reflection and time to think. Hopefully you enjoy the episode. Kylian Mbappé is unfit person to ever again wear the captain's armband for PSG. It's not even a personal attack against him, but we have reached that point now. His antics in Monaco took things too far. Hopefully you enjoy the episode. What is Kylian Mbappé's legacy in Paris as all leads point towards his departure. We talk about the current state of PSG days before the second leg of Champions League round of 16 knockout match against Real Sociedad. In this episode of PSG review we talk with Charles Cho from PSG Fan Club Toronto. He is one of its co-founders and before that he co-founded PSG Fan Club Montreal. What are the successes and what are the concerns with his style?
