Speaker 1:The views expressed in the following program are those of the participants and do not necessarily reflect the views of Saga nine sixty AM or its management.

Speaker 2:Hello Lenna, Hello ed He you do it. It's all it's almost spring. I'm not sure if we can be comfortable that we can put the coats away, but it seems like we're entering towards it.

Speaker 3:Yeah, and then we don't.

Speaker 4:And then it's like that Paula Abdul song with the cartoon cat, you know, two steps forward, two steps back.

Speaker 2:Oh, I haven't thought about that song, we.

Speaker 3:Come together.

Speaker 2:Jacking your five years and quite frankly, I was very happy.

Speaker 3:Ah in terms of she pops off.

Speaker 2:That's high thing about that, So now here it is intruding in my thoughts.

Speaker 3:Come on, that song wasn't bad?

Speaker 5:Uh?

Speaker 2:Okay, what is your what is your yardstick for bad?

Speaker 3:Then some other songs Paula Abdul did, like the promise.

Speaker 2:Of a New Day Okay, that was trash. Uh, straight up is the only one I think I could tolerate.

Speaker 3:I think that was from the same album.

Speaker 2:I don't know. I'm so glad to not know her discography and I don't want that information. But that was the only one I think I can tolerate. Yes, the video of her with the cartoon fox was kind of it was kind of a big deal at the time. I get that an innovation.

Speaker 4:You were allowed to get away with calling your cartoon cat dj'scat cat.

Speaker 2:Back then it was a cat, not a fox.

Speaker 3:There's a cat, dj'scat cat.

Speaker 2:And his name included the word scat. Yeah. Did they not know back then? Well?

Speaker 3:No, it was like scats singing. Every time my talk about this, D you do this?

Speaker 2:I don't remember. I think I block it out. It's a shame because scat singing is a very unique art form. When it gets thank you for the for that, But when it gets shortened to just scat, it's not. Don't look it up online.

Speaker 3:Yes, and cats do produce scat, so.

Speaker 2:Well, all living things produce some form of scat.

Speaker 3:His cat produced two kinds of scat.

Speaker 2:I guess, yeah, that song okay, yeah, well there was.

Speaker 3:Nothing I'm the scatman.

Speaker 2:No, I remember remember Scatman Cruthers who I loved, scatman Brothers. Who was was he also in I think he might have been in The Shining He was one of those horror movies, but also Scatman Brothers. He was on Chico and the Man. Everybody loves Scatman Brothers.

Speaker 4:All right, my friend Blaze's gonna love this episode. You're just making oblique musical references.

Speaker 2:Well, he was a I knew Scatman Brouthers from his uh his TV and film work. He was like lou Gossip Junior before Louke Gossip Junior got famous. People don't know.

Speaker 3:Who lou Gossip Junior is anymore.

Speaker 2:Well, and this is a failure in passing on our cultural gems to the next generation. Speaking of passing things, go no, I.

Speaker 3:Do love that Keith David continues to have a moment.

Speaker 2:Yes, yeah, sort of half lurking in the popular shadows.

Speaker 4:Well, certain types of people know from Keith David, but like cartoons and video games made him a legend.

Speaker 2:Uh yeah, Well, he was in a really bad TV series called The Cape several years back. It was an attempt to do a superhero TV show. And this guy, I don't know if he was a lawyer at district attorney whatever. Somehow we had to fake his death and so he could he could look for a proof of his innocence of the charges and he adopted the the alter ego of his son's favorite comic book character, The Cape, and Keith David was the operator of a circus, and he got the Cape, got to live with the circus while he was undercover. Don't know why it didn't succeed.

Speaker 3:I mean, he's he's been in a ton of stuff.

Speaker 2:You know. Speaking of being in a ton of stuff, I learned something that is at the same time interesting, disturbing and funny this week about sperm donors, and not so much sperm donors, but about those who who go shopping for the sperm donations from somebody who was a frequent sperm donor at a point in his life. And we will get to that. But first, and this is not a very elegant segue, but I am really loving how they have up their game in plant based yogurt.

Speaker 3:That is a terrible segue. Well it you. You didn't do.

Speaker 2:That, and it isn't the same.

Speaker 4:No, No, now I can't eat Now, I can't eat that yogurt anymore.

Speaker 2:You will. No, I found this cherry.

Speaker 3:You can't believe you did that.

Speaker 2:You'll block it out of your head. I've said far worse things during our podcast or TV shows.

Speaker 3:Have I not, Oh, this might be the worst ever.

Speaker 2:Oh well, let's mark that down. It's a new achievement, so achievement unlocked. So I found this. It's got like a raspberry on the front alleging that it's raspberry flavored. And I haven't really checked the ingredients because I don't want to be disillusioned.

Speaker 4:But the coconut based silk yogurt, Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 2:Man, I have become someone addicted to this stuff. And I have to stop myself from eating the entire container. And I'm talking with the little cups. I'm talking about the container. I have to stop myself from me the entire container in one sitting. I'm lucky if it lasts two. If it lasted three, almost never. It's it's just so like it's just when I want something that is I don't know, I just I've developed this, this taste. I associated with a reward for when I finished the all night show every night five am. If this is my little reward orle I watch a little bad TV to decompress before going to sleep. And man, I can't believe how much better it's got. You remember the early back then they call it vegan.

Speaker 3:So based stuff was funky.

Speaker 2:Oh it was bad. I don't know if the if the fake cheese has gotten any better. It was so bad I won't even try it.

Speaker 3:It's still not it's not there.

Speaker 2:Yeah, and at this point, what's it gonna take. They've been working on that for thirty years.

Speaker 4:Yeah, the cashew based stuff is better, but I don't know.

Speaker 2:The old stuff.

Speaker 3:Tapioca, there's tapioca. I don't know what. Just plant based cheese makes me feel worse than regular.

Speaker 2:Cheese, that's right, which.

Speaker 4:Which takes quite a bit because I mean I have trouble digesting the fat, so whatever is in the plant bached cheese is even harder to digest for me.

Speaker 2:Well, this is why I give credit to the makers of UH formerly vegan, now called plant based hot dogs. They have managed to duplicate the exact same gastric distress that I get from regular hot dogs with plant based hot dogs. It's like practically indistinguishable, including the lead time between consuming Yeah, the hot dog and when the gastric distress starts like that is I mean, that's a dead on parallel. So good for them.

Speaker 3:Yeah, that's one of those ones. Every time I eat it. You eat it for the sensation of having a hot dog. And then I'm like, why, well.

Speaker 2:That's the same thing every time I eat a hot dog. Well not every time, not every time. If you if you buy the quality stuff, the quality stuff is those are the people that get in first with the shovels to get the best of the lips and lobes from the floor. But the other stuff, there's filler and so on. It's just uh, by the way, what is tapioca? Uh, I don't.

Speaker 4:I thought it's a flower from some kind of plant. I honestly don't know what tapioca is. I thought I was going to talk about Keith David.

Speaker 2:Oh we didn't we already talk about Keith.

Speaker 3:Was a little abbreviated because that makes me happy.

Speaker 2:It is.

Speaker 3:It's a root.

Speaker 2:Okay, it's a starched extrava.

Speaker 4:From the Yeah, so there you go.

Speaker 2:Okay, Well, now now that we're solving mysteries I didn't know the answer is to I'm gonna look up nugat. It's a sweet paste whipped to a chewy or crunchy consistency. Uh, Usually made from a mouse of whipped egg white sweetened with sugar, or honey, not the nugat that's in the chocolate bars. I hate because I hate nugat. You hate nugat, hate hate nugant.

Speaker 4:Nugat doesn't have enough taste to hate it.

Speaker 2:Whatever when it's added to a chocolate bar, awful. I hate nugat.

Speaker 3:It's such a great word, though.

Speaker 2:Nugat nugat. Yeah it wasn't he a popular like seventies rock star who's now into bow hunting and maga.

Speaker 3:Isn't it nut?

Speaker 2:Oh? Yeah? Sorry, I was close though, So okay, Keith David, talk to me about Keith David.

Speaker 4:Boys of Goliathink, Gargoyles Husk.

Speaker 3:Yeah, Boys of Huskin has been Hotel.

Speaker 2:And go on.

Speaker 4:He was also in the Saints Row franchise, which is excellent video games from back in the day. He was the vice President of the United States and that's a much better timeline than the one we're living in now.

Speaker 3:And he's now in an awesome show called The Lowdown.

Speaker 2:He is so good in The Lowdown. If people have not discovered The Lowdown because it it didn't make the kind of bump in awareness that it should. The Lowdown stars Ethan Hawke as this really kind of a broken down journalist for like an alternative he's alternative newspaper.

Speaker 4:He's based on a real guy apparently, And was it the Tulsa area, right.

Speaker 2:I think it?

Speaker 4:Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, one of these like underground investigative journalists.

Speaker 2:What did he call himself a truthist or something? Anyway, he also owns a used bookstore and he's very into like old books. But he drives people away from him because he's very eccentric and once he gets the bit in his mouth about a story, he will not be deterred. The first episode, honestly, I was ready to not watch another episode, Yeah I was mad. But second, second episode and every episode after that It's unlike and or the Star Wars thing, where every episode was just as unimpressive as the previous. This every episode built in quality until I was looking forward to the next episode. But Keith David plays a basically a sort of private investigator and former cop, private investigator of the Morals Center. Yeah, many ways of the show, and he's I can't think of anyone who could have played that part better than him.

Speaker 4:He's somebody that if he's in a show, I will at least give it a shot.

Speaker 3:I mean he was on the original Equalizer back in the day.

Speaker 2:Yeah he was.

Speaker 3:Yeah, I can see you.

Speaker 2:But yeah, everybody was on the original Equalizer back in the day.

Speaker 4:Man Dude, Dude is a legend that does not get enough credit.

Speaker 3:But nerds like me, we love Keith David.

Speaker 2:And it says here. Keith David appeared as the character Christo, not the shortening Christo, in the original nineteen eighties television series The Equalizer. He featured in the episode titled Sea of Fire, which aired in nineteen eighty eight. This was early in his career before becoming widely known for his extensive voice acting and screen rules.

Speaker 3:There you go, Yeah, Keith David the man here on Unk.

Speaker 2:See three, episode seventeen. Those who have the DVDs like.

Speaker 4:I do that that that is a that is a slang term that I am upset about because I just used it as a term of respect.

Speaker 2:What was it, unk? Oh? I thought you, I thought you were joking Like no, like.

Speaker 4:Uncle, like uncle, Okay, And it used to be like an older man in the community, like he's kind of quirky. But even though he seems kind of weird, No, you listen to him because the man has wisdom. Now you become this slang term. It's a new okay boomer, and that is using it wrong. I am not going to give up unk as a term of respect, but now I gotta be careful who I say it around because depending on you know, what meaning somebody understands. Too many words have now become the opposite of what they originally were.

Speaker 2:Oh yeah, words are high hijacked all the time. And like the word, there are also words that had power, which is why people use them and misuse them and then drain them of their power is the goal.

Speaker 4:There needs to be some like committee, like a UN type committee of determining which words evolve with purpose and which ones know literally will never mean figuratively.

Speaker 2:Well, I think that the UN is fairly dysfunctional. I think the better way to go with that because I agree with the principle, But the better way to go with that is to have one person as the authority on that, and that person should be me.

Speaker 3:Okay, how about we call it the United Federation of ed UF for short.

Speaker 2:Did you just make that up? Because it's very good.

Speaker 3:I did make it up.

Speaker 2:That's very very good. I'm going to steal that now.

Speaker 4:We like decide things like what words get to evolve?

Speaker 3:What do I say certain stuff we do?

Speaker 2:I you missed the part where I said it's just it's just me. I'm willing to take things under advisement though.

Speaker 3:Okay, but yes, we need something, we need something.

Speaker 2:Uh yeah, that's I mean, that's a bit of a marketing beauty right there. UFT.

Speaker 4:I mean you're you have to have other people in the committee. Like it's like you get a permanent vote. It's like the Security Council.

Speaker 3:You have a.

Speaker 4:Permanent seat on UFT, but you have to have other people in for optics.

Speaker 2:What do I like, do I have to have the Russians there too? Like the Security Council?

Speaker 3:Well no, it's it's a little different structure.

Speaker 4:But see, you get the permanent seat and you get veto power, which basically means you're only the opinion that counts.

Speaker 3:But you can say it's a committee.

Speaker 2:Well you can, uh can it be like other UN committees where you have member states on the committee even though back home they don't uphold of the values that the committee is pushing forward, Like wasn't Saudi Arabia and the human rights? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, tell me that this committee doesn't mean anything without telling me the committee doesn't mean anything.

Speaker 3:All right, you know what, But that that was my brainway for the day.

Speaker 2:I guess, well, good, because that's going to go forward.

Speaker 3:I like the UF United Federation.

Speaker 2:Yeah yeah, I like it. But people are going to read it.

Speaker 4:As you fed well the ops there, right, so you can put a little like break in it.

Speaker 2:What like see if it had been UF apostrophe.

Speaker 3:D no because ed.

Speaker 2:Yeah, so it can be yeah, yeah, the UF apostrophe ed works. Yeah, okay, good job, all right, well done. Workshopping good yeah, excellent, excellent. I hate the term workshopping, by the way, why because there is this person you and I both know, who I've known for god save me forty five years, who believes that they are a very talented comic I'm gonna say actor because they don't want to give away the gender, but is not a very talented comic actor or actor and would always talk back in the day about joining these these these acting troops and talking about oh yeah, we're going to workshop that on Sunday. And so the term workshopping has forever attached this individual to that, and it strikes me always as something untalented people do with other people who may or may not be talented, to sound like they're actually part of the acting business, when in fact they really really are not.

Speaker 3:There's a lot of people out there like, yeah.

Speaker 2:You know who this person is. Hopefully I've been so vague you don't know exactly who it is, but you know this person, and this person is not one of your favorite people either. But the term workshop like not workshopping, not the verb, but workshop. And we'll always conjure up the smell of sawdust. Well, yeah, and fear from mister McLaren's industrial arts class at Fisherville Junior High School, where he would allow the least coordinated student to light the forge, which he constantly informed us, if you do it backwards will cause the whole thing to blow up. And so me and a few others used to hide behind his metal desk every time this individual lit the forge. Every time, the same person and clearly the least the least safe choice.

Speaker 2:I will leave it at that, all righty, all right, let's go to a break away come back. I'll talk about that the sperm donery thing.

Speaker 3:Okay.

Speaker 2:Also, I have some very exciting news about Bigfoot oh okay, Yeah, I hope that was excitement. You just said there, Yeah Bigfoot, big Yeah, love Bigfoot. Bigfoot's real by the way. Okay, and I'll tell you why. We'll be back after.

Speaker 1:This stream us live at SAGA nine am dot CA.

Speaker 2:Okay, so I will try to keep this from being skeezy. Okay.

Speaker 3:Oh like the yogurt segue.

Speaker 2:See, I was hoping you'd forgotten it by now.

Speaker 3:Yeah, I have not forgotten it. That was so not cool.

Speaker 2:Do you remember that story years ago at the supermarket where the guy was the supermarket was giving out samples of Greek yogurt, and the woman complained to the manager that it was not Greek yogurt, that in fact, it was semen. And when the manager said, no, it's just Greek yogurt tastes a little different, she said, no, I know how semen tastes, and that is Semen. Remember that story. No, we talked to me, You and I talked to about it years ago.

Speaker 3:Oh probably, I just don't remember. I'm not saying if you asked me, do I remember it? That is not? Do you believe that happened? No, I don't remember it.

Speaker 2:He talked about it, good because that means you'll eventually drop the link between yogurt and this story, so.

Speaker 3:That'll be burned into my brain.

Speaker 2:So there was a story about a guy who was the headline determined he was a rogue sperm donor who had donated for one hundred pounds and one hundred and fifty pounds Amazon gift card. He would donate his his ejaculate, his seed to people who paid him. Hey, he got pissed off because he did. He donated to a lesbian couple and one of one half of the couple later identified as a man as trans man and was listed as father on the per certificate. And he got angry about this because obviously very tolerant fellow and insisted that his name should be on the birth certificate as the father.

Speaker 3:Is that legal when you're a donor?

Speaker 2:Well, no, in fact, I don't think that it is. I mean, laws differ everywhere. This is a guy in the UK somewhere, but I mean the judge threw it out, but it led to a phone call I mentioned as on the All Night Show. Led to a phone call from one of my callers. His name is Justin but he goes by just incredible often often I refer to him as just intolerable. Anyway, he mentioned that when he was younger he used to be a fairly prolific sperm donor, okay, And I asked him, by the way, do they really have like dirty magazines there? And he said that they do, but he just closed his eyes and remembered an experience in wrestling training with Trish Stratus that worked. Anyway. It turns out that you fill out, the donor fills out a checklist of qualities, education, professional, all tho stuff. They look at you, you know, do you have all your teeth?

Speaker 2:Are your teeth straight? Where's your hairline? Like all of these things, and it's not the like if too many things are wrong, they will reject you. But if you don't come out in the in the top, they will then sell your sperm at discount prices.

Speaker 5:There's discount, okay, there is a sliding scale of cost for to buy seed.

Speaker 2:Like if you want the top stuff, it's this this person. It's a guy he's six three, full head of hair, grape teeth, professional with Carl University degrees, you know, in good shape and you know, even all this other stuff that is the top price but if you went down lower to where Justin was, it was cheaper. And this I mean, I'm sure there's thoughts running through your head, because the thoughts running through my head were who would go in seeking to bring a life into this world and go for the Dollarama version of seed?

Speaker 3:All of this is pretty strange to me.

Speaker 2:Well, to me, like sperm banks have been a thing for a very long time. No no stigma there or anything. But it's just the idea that there's a there's a price list, that there's a rate list of the quality of the individual who has who has donated. It's like if you scrape together just enough money, you're gonna get Justin or even someone beneath him. Now, granted, people don't all want to try to get the most perfect adonnis genius, but how is it not in like, once you have a kid, Once you have a kid from from this process, and let's just say the kid reaches a certain level, the kid is like maybe struggling in school, The kid maybe has some moods, which is normal for a teenager.

Speaker 2:Are you gonna think this is just normal for like a teenager, or are you gonna think I should have paid more.

Speaker 3:I this whole thing is strange to.

Speaker 2:Be well, it's it's extremely odd.

Speaker 4:It just feels like a way to upsell people, Like how much more money are we talking here?

Speaker 2:He didn't know exactly back then it was twenty did you say twenty six hundred or twenty six thousand? Okay, it was one of those. I think it was twenty six thousand. Was what you paid for? Really? The a one quality seed? And I said, so what was what were you like a buck fifty? So he doesn't know what what he was, what it was charged, what was charged? But he was paid eighteen dollars per session?

Speaker 4:All right, so he was paid eighteen dollars they charged thousands.

Speaker 3:Yeah, yeah, Canada US trade deal.

Speaker 2:Well done. I think it's because you didn't just buy the product. It was the in vitro process. But yeah, I remember years ago one like when I when the show was still on Cable ten, uh, wanted to do a mobile remote shoot at a sperm bank. Sperm bank.

Speaker 3:I don't think that's a great idea.

Speaker 2:But okay, well they agreed to and when we showed up. Do you remember Ben Kerr. Yeah he was a very elderly man. Yeah, yeah, he was a busker, always wearing that sweatshirt. Ben kerr for mayor. He ran for mayor in every election for decades. Uh, he was. He was a member of my entourage, I would say, back in the day. And he was. He didn't he looked. He didn't look so healthy. He was very very skinny, very like not even like almost nearly emaciated. He looked great spirit it and every one of his songs that he wrote sounded exactly like the previous one. But a great guy.

Speaker 2:So we we show up wanting to have Ben and donate his seed, and we were thrown out of there so fast, it was immediate. Dear, I remember, no, no, no, no, this is this is not what we were expecting. No, this is no, We're not going to do.

Speaker 4:It's funny because I remember seeing a story in the news about uh like an in vitro thing that there was a mix up.

Speaker 2:Yes, I've read about mix.

Speaker 4:But I was trying to find it was recent too. I was trying to find it. But I was scrolling through and all I could see is this dumb story about Drake's latest narcissistic publicity stunt.

Speaker 2:So you were looking for something about a uh mixed up sperm donation. Yeah, and you wound up with Drake.

Speaker 3:With Drake, have you been seeing this stuff?

Speaker 2:No?

Speaker 4:No, okay, well he was apparently doing something a few weeks back in Downsview Park. All right, it involves pyrotechnics and they didn't go around and like fly er drop the people who lived there and they had that.

Speaker 3:Was it a propane explosion or something like that some years back?

Speaker 2:Ye oh yeah yeah, so.

Speaker 4:Wee hours in the morning, these things go boom, freaked everybody out, and of course, oh, we put it on social media.

Speaker 3:Not everybody is religiously on social media.

Speaker 2:Oh okay, okay, you know what people who are religiously on social media think. Everybody is religiously on social media.

Speaker 3:Okay, yeah, but not to be done like there was that.

Speaker 4:But it's like he's trying to annoy people into talking about his his upcoming album, because that's what this is all in promotion for.

Speaker 2:Right.

Speaker 4:But a few days ago, I saw this story about this massive formation of ice blocks in you know, downtown Toronto in a parking lot. So, oh, you blocked parking in a lot in downtown Toronto.

Speaker 3:First of all, Drake move.

Speaker 4:Drake was not a word I wanted to say, but I can't say that on the radio.

Speaker 2:Yeah yeah.

Speaker 4:Apparently hidden in the ice sculpture was the date of his the release state of his upcoming album.

Speaker 3:I will not say the name of the album. I will not say the name.

Speaker 4:The release date because this I'm like, this is not going to go well. People were showing up with like weapon and like blow porches and things like that to try to melt these ice blocks, and the cops kept having to show up. They finally paid for duty cops, I think. But I just saw the fire department finally showed up and like hosed it down to melt the ice.

Speaker 3:Because it was so unsafe.

Speaker 2:I like things that don't don't require my comment, go on.

Speaker 4:Why First of all, why did the city approve either of these things without additional like the boom okay, kind of a mistake, but like the idea that you want people to climb blocks of ice.

Speaker 3:But this is what the fire chief said.

Speaker 4:As Toronto fire chief, my top priority is keeping Torontohonian safe. Large numbers of individuals gathered to attempt to melt the ice using flammable liquids and open flo aims in an uncontrolled environment which results in immediate threat to life.

Speaker 2:Okay, the goal, the point of it wasn't to have people do that, correct, Oh, of course.

Speaker 4:It was the first thing I thought of is you are incentivizing people who think they're going to get a ton of hits on social media for me the person to reveal the date of the next Okay, so you know.

Speaker 2:It was implied that they want that Drake wanted and as people wanted people to put themselves in unsafe situations to melt the rules.

Speaker 4:I say here going this is a terrible The first thing I thought of is people are gonna show up and do unsafe things.

Speaker 2:You know what? This reminds me of that episode of w k RP, the Thanksgiving episode which led to the immortal line I swear by, I swear to God. I thought turkeys could fly. Okay remember that?

Speaker 3:Yes, Okay, it's been a while. I needed a minute.

Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, except I thought turkeys could fly.

Speaker 4:But I mean Drake's thinking Turkey's is humans in it? Like, seriously, I'm so sick of these viral stunts like Timothy Shallo may want to dress an orange bring Kylie Jenner along for the ride, act.

Speaker 3:Like a jerk like that. That's one thing.

Speaker 2:Fine, did you say why they did you say viral stunts? Stunts?

Speaker 3:Yeah, okay, yes this is not the yogurt uh.

Speaker 4:But I'm so sick of these like over the top ridiculous not thinking about the consequences and then making taxpayer funded services like the fire department have to clean up Drake's mess. They should charge him and well I think I think they should actually like pay Kendrick Lamar to make another distrack because that seems to hurt him more.

Speaker 2:Well, I think it knocked him a way off his perch. We have to go to a break and come back and talk about Bigfoot.

Speaker 3:Okay.

Speaker 2:By the way, you can say dick on the radio, can you.

Speaker 3:I am super careful, I know better safety.

Speaker 4:Sorry, I am so confused by those lines, Dick.

Speaker 2:Okay, we'll be back after this. It was very immature.

Speaker 1:Stream us live at SAGA nine six am dot CA.

Speaker 2:All right, So as people may know, I am I've become a firm believer in the existence of sasquatch, the creature that roams the Pacific northwest of North America, and the interesting like the most potent piece and debated piece of evidence has been the nineteen sixty seven Patterson Gimblin film of a short I don't know fifteen seconds where they came upon a sasquatch in a dry river bed and sasquatch saw them, looked at them, walked away. And people tried to say there was a guy in a suit, but there at the time that that was shot, no suit could simulate the movement of muscle underneath. Like anyone who's ever worn mascot costume, most it does not move.

Speaker 2:The musculature underneath does not move with the fur. So there was no way at the time for even Hollywood to have come up with such a suit. Secondly, these guys were miles and miles away from anything. They were on their horses just looking and spent hours. So they just came upon this, and people say, sure, they're sasquatch hunters. Isn't it suspicious they saw one? What is it suspicious when duck hunters find ducks? Anyway? Do you have anything to say so far?

Speaker 3:Yeah, I'm listening to all right, big so.

Speaker 2:The so a lot of evidence has come from the now they have fed. There was a guy, Jeff Meldrum, who was a professor of loc emotion human locomo. It was a funny. There's a long term who looked at the footage and looked at casts of footprints. Easy to tell which ones were fake, but the footprints that are real. They show what's called a mid tarsal break in the foot, which is a flex that humans don't have, but which apes have and due to their extra weight. Also the amount of depth into the soil that the thing came from.

Speaker 2:Only something of a certain weight could do that. And the compression pattern. It wasn't just one like flat pressed down as something weighted down mite it there was a compression pattern. Then they fed this I watched this this week fascinating. They fed thirteen alleged videos of Bigfoot to an AI that was trained for the study of locomotion amongst living things, you know, all animals, including humans, and they were able to attack right away. Two were complete fakes, the other eleven showed this incredible first of all, similarity across fifty years of these clips. Secondly, it showed that the motion was a living thing. It was not something in a suit, couldn't be accomplished by someone in a suit, where the muscles moved and responded underneath the fur, the fact that the fur was actually three layers, as you know, like animals will have a surface layer and a sub you know, subco coat. And they also used heat patterns to determine, you know, whether there was somebody in a seat or if this was a thing. And they determined that they weren't told what to look for the AI.

Speaker 2:They the AI wasn't told what to look for. It was just what do you see here? And it determined unknown. Great ape is what they based on the way it moved. Like there's just so many characteristics about the way the sasquatch moved in these videos that are completely different, stride, length, all this other stuff from how weight is transferred different from from human beings and like, this is freaking fascinating. Also the whole idea that they people always say, well, where's the body? And they pointed out that there are thousands of miles of forest in the Pacific Northwest that have never been traveled in and not even ground penetrating radarch can get through the tree canopy. So also the nature of the forest, the deciduousness would eat away even the bones fairly quickly. But if this is a species that deliberately stays away from people as much as it can.

Speaker 2:It makes sense that you wouldn't find a body and almost never find the body of a bear in the woods that just died on its own because of these reasons. And also they know that Neanderthals and earlier humans buried they're dead, so who knows. So I was just very excited because this is really good scientific information that is not easy to just push aside. You know, science comes at it as it is not possible for there to be an undiscovered great ape in North America. Therefore everything that shows any evidence of it must be fake, which is not a scientific acumen. Right, So that is my excitement.

Speaker 3:Is bigfoot your special interested?

Speaker 2:Okay? Before I answer, what does that mean?

Speaker 3:Oh, you don't know what it is? After me?

Speaker 2:Oh, is that a spectrum thing?

Speaker 3:Yeah?

Speaker 2:I don't know, am I could I be on the spectrum?

Speaker 3:You're big footistic?

Speaker 2:I'm big Well what sounds better big footistic or sasquatistic?

Speaker 3:So sasquatistic.

Speaker 2:Sasquatchistic is hard to say, yeah, sasquatistic. Big Footistic is easier, all right. Anyway, thank you for allowing me to express that.

Speaker 3:I just I just let you in for dumb.

Speaker 4:This is why when people treat like autistic people badly.

Speaker 3:I'm just like, no, there is one end of the human condition.

Speaker 4:Because people can ramble off way too long about sports and that's allegedly normal. But yeah, you know, I want to talk for twenty minutes about Warhammer forty K.

Speaker 3:Sometimes I'm the problem.

Speaker 2:And the thing about sports people too is they have memorized a slew of statistics. And yeah, you're telling me that that isn't kind of specter me. Or the fact that like sports guys will make fun of people will go to comic book conventions and maybe cause play as characters, and then they go to football games with their face painted up, their hair painted a different color, wearing crazy wigs. Yeah, but that's nowhere near the same impulse anyway. Yeah, why don't we go to a break and come back, and when we come back, we can talk about something you want to talk about? Okay, do you have something?

Speaker 3:I will think?

Speaker 2:Okay, put your thinking cap on and we'll be back after this.

Speaker 1:Stream us live at SAGA nine sixty am dot C.

Speaker 2:All right, and you had enough time.

Speaker 4:Yeah, there's a ton of movies coming out.

Speaker 2:Oh you had mentioned this.

Speaker 4:What are you like, I'm I'm like overwhelmed by the movies coming out.

Speaker 3:I just I can't. Okay, here's the domestic release schedule.

Speaker 2:Wait, does this mean that you have previously been whelmed by the movies and now you're overwhelmed.

Speaker 4:Yeah. For the last few years it's sort of been eh, you know, they're they're nothing, they're.

Speaker 3:Super excited about.

Speaker 4:But I mean I saw i'd be Projectail Mary kicked it all off Amazings right. Yes, Yes, Mario Galaxy movie was good, but better than I expected it to be.

Speaker 2:Yes.

Speaker 4:And then there's oh, there's a movie called The Yetti there you go ed.

Speaker 2:Oh, God, probably made it into some crazed killer the poor gentle thing. Anyway, go on, I don't.

Speaker 3:Know what Lee Cronan's The Mummy is.

Speaker 2:It's supposed to be returning the horror aspect to The Mummy.

Speaker 4:Oh okay, Oh, there's the Michael Jackson like biopic.

Speaker 2:Okay, that's biopicks don't tend to do.

Speaker 4:But there's a lot of a lot of hype and anti hype around that one, just because of the subject matter.

Speaker 2:By the way, The Mummy by Leek Cronan not the Brendan Fraser, no reunion movie about the Mummy.

Speaker 3:It looks it looks freaky.

Speaker 4:There's something coming out this weekend called Apex with Chase Then and Eric.

Speaker 3:Banna devil Worth. Product two is out May one.

Speaker 4:Mortal Kombats making a sequel with Carl Urban as Johnny Cage.

Speaker 2:I love Carl Urban.

Speaker 3:I haven't seen the first Mortal Kombat.

Speaker 4:I might see it just to see the second movie, because yeah, he's great.

Speaker 3:And that speaks to what they're doing.

Speaker 4:But then, of course May twenty second Mandalorian Grogu.

Speaker 2:They should have called it Grogu Mandalorian. Let's be honest, who's going to see it for the Mandalorian? It's all Grogu.

Speaker 4:The thumbnail is Grogu and the cookie. They know what people are showing up.

Speaker 3:For, yep, scrolling through. I mean, I love boosters. Do what that is? The Breadwinner?

Speaker 4:Back rooms The Master of the Universe movie, which ed I know your stoke for.

Speaker 2:I'm on, I'm okay, my stoke has dropped some well quite a bit. Actually, oh yeah, I've considered some of the things you've said, and I'm like, you know what, She's right, So I am very take it or leave it or sort of. I will wait to see that.

Speaker 4:The opinion is that you gotta like peace, you gotta figure which ones you're gonna see in theaters, which ones you're gonna see in streaming.

Speaker 3:Because Scary Movie six is coming out in June. Okay, I have ends.

Speaker 2:I've seen none of those movies.

Speaker 4:But then the next weekend is that disclosure Day. The Steven Spielberg sci fi.

Speaker 2:Which they the last sci fi he released with this degree of secrecy was Close Encounters of the Third Kind. No one knew what it was about till it came out, and I kind of like that because I've discovered movies like ET I didn't know what they were. I watched the movie day totally overwhelmed. But I suspect this. I'm guessing by the name that this movie is about somehow the government, you know in quotes, the government releases information confirming aliens, right fos right, I think that's disclosure. I'm thinking that what it might, that might might be.

Speaker 4:What it is. Yeah, But then a week later Toy Story five, Yes, a week after that, Supergirl also known as Crypto two.

Speaker 2:Oh, I love that. I'm looking forward to.

Speaker 3:That Oh, Supergirl, that's gonna be huge. Yeah. Uh the Jackass movie for anybody who's.

Speaker 2:Guss limbs at this point.

Speaker 4:Yeah.

Speaker 3:But then then July first, Minions and Monsters.

Speaker 2:Oh, I saw a trailer for that. I am so sold. Yeah.

Speaker 4:July tenth, Live Action mowanna yah, there's gonna be an audience for that.

Speaker 3:Yes, a week after that. Christopher Nolandsy Odyssey.

Speaker 2:Also one that I will take. Uh.

Speaker 3:Yeah, I'm gonna on advice on that one.

Speaker 2:Yeah, it could be great. It's a great story the audience.

Speaker 3:But standalone Evil Dead movie like moving the Evil Dead universe coming out.

Speaker 2:When they start saying it's in the the blank universe, it's a sign of crap. Remember the spider Verse from Sony Madame Webb, Crazy Hunter.

Speaker 3:But but you're ahead of me. July thirty first Spider Man Brand New Day.

Speaker 2:But I am looking forward to that, not like I am to Supergirl and Grogu. But I am looking forward to that. I have enjoyed the previous Spider Man movies, so by this team especially, so I don't like the storyline. It appears to be following from the comics. In fact, it's the storyline from the comics. In Spider Man, I hated the most, but but I'm going to give it a chance. I'm going to give it a chance.

Speaker 4:The storyline I hated the most was One More Day, and they did an okay job with that.

Speaker 2:Well the whole.

Speaker 3:I'm willing to give the Spider totem a chance, all right.

Speaker 2:To me, it ruins the beauty and simplicity of Spider Man's origin, but I'm willing to give it. I'm willing to give it a try.

Speaker 4:Okay, but we don't know what we're gonna do with it, right. They did something different with One More Day.

Speaker 2:Well, yeah, I mean and brand New Day was in the comics. One More Day was Peter Parker and Mary Jane got to spend one last day together married before Mephisto forced a reboot where they never got married and they aren't even dating. And that was brand New Day was he was single again?

Speaker 3:Because that's what it is.

Speaker 2:Yeah, well it is, yeah it is.

Speaker 3:Yeah, that's what it is.

Speaker 4:He is.

Speaker 2:Yeah, you know what it is exactly that it is.

Speaker 3:It's it's that storyline. But they did a good job with One More Day. I'm willing to give him a chance.

Speaker 2:Yeah, I like what what they tend to do with Spider Man.

Speaker 3:So it's an end of Oak Street, Paw Patrol, the Dino movie.

Speaker 2:End of Oak Street. By the way, I think is isn't that JJ Abrams or something.

Speaker 3:JJ Abrams starring Anna Hathaway Ewan McGregor.

Speaker 2:I think that's sort of supposed to be like clover Field. I'm not sure.

Speaker 3:Yeah, something, but see what I mean. It just keeps Then. Have you seen the Clayface trailer?

Speaker 5:Ed?

Speaker 2:No, is it out?

Speaker 4:It's it's very short, but it's very impactful.

Speaker 2:Yeah, Clayface is for those who don't know, refers to two different Batman villains in the Batman universe, and Clayface that the second one could transform his body into whatever. And it's interesting because James Gunn chose that as one of the earliest.

Speaker 3:He's going full horror.

Speaker 2:Yeah, but it's completely horror and it's a stand alone from from the rest. It's just apparently a really scary movie.

Speaker 3:There's a Resident Evil franchise reboot.

Speaker 4:There's a Avatar the Last Airbender movie.

Speaker 2:All right, we gotta stop, we gotta stop.

Speaker 4:There, Street Fighter, Cat, the Hat, Godzilla something. It just keeps going. There's so many and men. Of course, Donesday.

Speaker 2:Right Avengers reminds me of the old nineteen eighties summers where it was like the summer of several blockbusters, not one, but we gotta go, we gotta go. Yeah, Okay, thank you for that update. On the movies. By the way, Lee Cronin's The Mummy getting terrible reviews.
