Speaker 1:We are back we are back mole is on his mid shit he can't move slept wrong man just put him in a wheelchair yeah.
Speaker 2:My age you sleep wrong man it's like.
Speaker 1:It's a week he's got.
Speaker 3:Him burying me out back man yeah send me off to greener pastures man My neck is a little twisted right now, but I'm good though.
Speaker 1:Maybe do a, I did acupuncture when my shoulder was messed up. It kind of helped.
Speaker 2:I don't know. I don't think it's there.
Speaker 3:I think I just need to stretch and, you know, probably get a massage over the weekend or something like that.
Speaker 1:Well, we're in the right area for that.
Speaker 2:Oh, definitely.
Speaker 1:Probably get something else.
Speaker 2:Batted around if you want. I mean, come on, man. You know, release, release the stress.
Speaker 1:Yeah. That's probably all I need to do. You're holding all the stress there.
Speaker 2:Yeah. You know what I'm saying? I've been, I've been practicing semen retention.
Speaker 4:Oh, okay.
Speaker 1:Nice.
Speaker 2:You know what I mean? I've been trying to. I mean, hold on to the life force.
Speaker 1:Is there like a meal prep version of that? Like do you have a goal you're trying to hit? Is there an app?
Speaker 2:I'm just trying to see how long I can go without releasing the hounds. Gotcha. You know what I mean? Don't make me laugh, man. My neck hurts.
Speaker 1:Does that affect any lady friend needs? Is that a little selfish that you're on this retention plan? They have needs too.
Speaker 3:It's never selfish when you're trying to become a better version of yourself.
Speaker 2:Gotcha.
Speaker 3:And if somebody deems that to be selfish, then that's not the type of people you need in your life. When you're working on you, Rory, people are supposed to support you working on you.
Speaker 1:Yeah. You have to show up as your best. Right.
Speaker 3:And those that have an issue with that, I mean, that's the universe kind of telling you, listen, maybe you need to move away. Maybe this is the energy that's holding you back from breaking through that next barrier.
Speaker 2:You know what I mean?
Speaker 1:Fucking her is what stopped the progress.
Speaker 2:No, it's what stopped it. But, you know, it's like, let's be intentional with sex. You know what I mean? Let's be intentional with releasing the loins. I hear that.
Speaker 1:Well, end of summer. I guess it's a good time to start.
Speaker 2:Yeah, spring.
Speaker 1:Then by Christmas.
Speaker 3:It's kind of like a fall cleanse, you know? Before the leaves start to fall, you must shed your... Before the trees shed, you must shed.
Speaker 2:Yeah. You know what I mean? No, for sure.
Speaker 1:I totally understand.
Speaker 2:No, not November. That's for myself. I'm getting ahead of it. I'm getting ahead of it.
Speaker 3:So by November, it's a breeze, a cakewalk. Y'all try to start November 1st, and then y'all struggling by November 6th. So you start now in September. By November, that'll just be who you are.
Speaker 1:That's your identity now. That's legitimately who you are.
Speaker 2:Yeah. You know what I mean? After 30 days.
Speaker 3:That's who everyone sees now. That's just who I am. It's not even like no nut November. It's just like, no, this is just mall.
Speaker 1:I think there's no nut mall. Yeah, there's just no.
Speaker 2:Nut mall for life right now. You know what I'm saying? This is just who I am.
Speaker 1:Was Kevin Gates on Sunday Conversation? I think he was on three years. I don't know if I... believe anything that kevin gates says.
Speaker 2:Kevin gates wouldn't be able to walk if he didn't.
Speaker 1:He said he started a car with his bare hands which we all thought was like the biggest cap ever and then we went on the internet and mad people were doing it that's that's the easy thing to do see i okay i didn't know that you could just start cars with you i mean you got to know what you're doing but mechanics do that all the time but it's just it's just the battery might be dead.
Speaker 2:Or something and you just you sitting there like this no you don't.
Speaker 3:Do that it's a way to do it and it's just like you know the car starts yeah But like people would thought that Kevin Gates like created fire when he said that it was like mechanics.
Speaker 1:It's all that semen retention mechanics building up.
Speaker 3:That's like Jerome Avenue in the Bronx do that every day. That's like a part of just like the routine. I mean, I assumed a crackhead had taught him how to do that. Somebody that works on cars.
Speaker 4:Yeah.
Speaker 2:You know how to do that. It's not, it's not a hard thing to do.
Speaker 1:Well, prayers for your neck for sure.
Speaker 2:Thank you, man. Appreciate it.
Speaker 1:And prayers for the neck that you're not getting.
Speaker 2:Yes. Prayers for the new neck.
Speaker 1:Damaris welcome back oh thank you what was baby d she was here yesterday she was here but like she's oh my.
Speaker 3:Oh okay okay okay yeah so yeah i guess it is yeah yes but i know i know we just saw it that's why i'm.
Speaker 2:Like welcome back from where you saw yes last night.
Speaker 1:Well um i feel like you you missed you missed a lot of stuff.
Speaker 4:Yeah i was so scared when i was gone No, we had a thing was happening. I was like, God damn, I need to be at work, which I did.
Speaker 1:Y'all do well.
Speaker 2:What happened? We got a lot of new music, a lot of good new music. You know what I'm saying?
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:It's always a good time. This is that time of year, though. I think we're like, you know, people try to put out their best. Like the summertime is usually like, you know, people just like want to have fun and have, you know what I mean? Like put out music that people kind of like grew to. But I think towards the. Fourth quarter is kind of like when people like, all right, let's put out the music that is going to define my year.
Speaker 1:Yeah, everyone I feel like does the single chasing at the top of the summer to try to get a summer record. And then they do full projects by that year. I mean, fall usually has the best music, in my opinion. But no, Damaris, we did miss you. It was maybe a good episode to miss because it was a lot of misogynistic topics.
Speaker 3:Oh, it felt so good not to hear somebody say I'm cutting that out.
Speaker 1:Like, we didn't care for accountability.
Speaker 2:It felt so good not to have to apologize to women.
Speaker 1:Y'all should do that more often.
Speaker 2:I'm trying to. For sure.
Speaker 3:I hate apologizing to women. I don't even be sorry half the time. But I got to say it or I get canceled. Men can't be men no more in this country.
Speaker 2:What the fuck is going on?
Speaker 1:I've been trying to tell you that there is an attack on straight white males, but you will not listen to me.
Speaker 2:Straight whites?
Speaker 1:Straight white males. We're under attack in this country.
Speaker 2:For real?
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Tell me about your struggles. You've heard about mine for 400 years. Tell me about this new family.
Speaker 1:Just turn on Fox. They'll tell you everything. Tell me about this new family. I can't even walk outside. Yeah? It's crazy.
Speaker 2:Streets are dangerous for white men now?
Speaker 1:Yeah. Can't say or do anything. Yeah. Boys can't be boys. It's bad out here right now, man. It's bad out here. Well, anyways, what happened? Why are you bringing up Charlie Kirk on our screen right now?
Speaker 2:You're going to AI Charlie Kirk? You don't do that. You don't play with that.
Speaker 4:See?
Speaker 1:See what I said? Now our pain is just a joke. Yeah, see?
Speaker 2:You're just laughing at the white man's, you know what I mean? His plight.
Speaker 1:His plight. Because everyone knows how much I loved Charlie Kirk. anyways yes we got the Drake FOMO stream on was that Wednesday night Tuesday night Tuesday night yes Tuesday night FOMO stream they pushed it back I was nervous didn't know if Drake had gotten the edit back yet but we got what appeared to be five new records an extended record classic which was one of my favorites out of the three and then a few interlude snippets damage done they're calling it the Gaza record I don't know if that's really the name um vices and then a janice remix um how did you feel i thought it was good i have i do have a gripe with drake in these streams and it's not a a negative thing i just wish he would put the stream up right after the stream ends with all these like oh like the yeah like i had to do so i came in halfway through it and then even with iceman stream yeah there was people that ripped it and then he eventually put the videos out individually but I wanted to like watch the full stream. And if you usually streams, they'll save and then you can just click it and start it from the beginning.
Speaker 2:So the full stream is not available yet on his YouTube.
Speaker 1:No. And, and, and I don't know if it's UMG. A lot of people have been getting strikes for it. Like I can't even find a bootleg version of it.
Speaker 2:No. So yeah, I may or may not have a file on my phone. Don't worry about it.
Speaker 1:Send me over the Dropbox link so I can fully appreciate. Um, but from what I did see, and then of course there were, People are going to rip every single part of it. So I do feel like I saw the full stream at least twice. I mean, the visuals were really, really good. I like the new records. Sound good again. Not on DSP, so it's hard to gauge the sticking power. I would love to just listen to them in the car.
Speaker 2:But we know what that Choose in Texas, what Don Tyler was going to do.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I mean, every girl in Texas is going to have that on their social media. Mm-hmm.
Speaker 3:That song is going to go platinum this fall, this winter. That's all you're going to hear.
Speaker 1:I mean, I guess, but what do you think? And I don't know if this is something you've spoken to him about. I'm really just asking as a fan. What is the strategy of not putting these five new songs on DSPs? Especially the remix. Like, I mean, that's the biggest record in the world right now.
Speaker 3:My guess, again, you know, uh we yes we spoke about things but i didn't ask what the plan the strategy was but my guess is we'll probably be getting we're recording thursday we'll probably be getting the fomo tonight.
Speaker 1:Oh like on a friday release like would right he's got okay okay so that's that's just my guess that that would make sense all right i understand that part um but yeah like i'd love to give a full full review of these records but you know you can't find the stream it's tough to listen to them again, but.
Speaker 2:But what did you think of the visuals as far as, like, you know.
Speaker 3:Oh, I thought they were incredible. I know he said... Shout out to Theo, too, man. Theo's been doing an incredible job. Shout out to the whole Dream Crew team over there. You know, it's... The things that they've done, and obviously Drake has entered this phase and this chapter of his career, and I'm guessing of his life as well, where... Things are now starting to feel independent. And it's starting to feel like he has no issue opening his own account to fund his ideas, to fund his visions, to fund his music.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Well, he's betting like $ 2 million a night on WNBA games. I think he can dump some money into a red camera.
Speaker 2:I mean, yeah.
Speaker 3:Like, I think that, you know, he has, we understand that the position that Drake has worked himself into and he has the capital to fund any of his ideas. But to actually see an artist at his level do it and, you know, do it with the people close to him and the people around him. I think it's just a cool thing just to watch unfold and watch happen. He has obviously been doing a lot of his visuals for years now. And to see them take it to another level with the whole streaming thing now, it's.
Speaker 2:Just dope to watch happen, man.
Speaker 3:And I think that this is something that a lot of creatives should be and are inspired by. And I'm just excited to see, you know, where he takes it into this next chapter.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:I was going to ask, because I know you said it was directed and put together by the guys, I think was what he said on Instagram. But I was going to ask if Theo, because I know Theo's been with him for a really long time and Theo's a super talented director. I think that's... I think this version of visuals is Drake's lane. Like remember the short film jungle around the time of, uh, if you're reading this too late, like I thought that was Drake's strongest visual representation at that time. I think he's had visually some great ones like hell yeah. Fucking right. Love that video.
Speaker 1:I think Kanye really fucked up best I ever had. Like sometimes Drake's visuals could be hit or miss. Um, but I think the short film version, what he did with Iceman, uh, like the jungle one in this are his lane. When it comes to visuals, this was shot. It was like a 24 type cinematography. Like they, they killed this on the visual side. I thought it was really, really good. I liked the callbacks too. Cause I'm, I enjoy now watching people get overly upset as being one of the people that did say, Hey, I want to see Drake mature more. I've now turned into the person that likes to laugh at you guys freaking out when he goes to hot topic with a goth girl. I like lean into it. have Lena show up to your house it's fucking funny to.
Speaker 3:Me but that's I think that's that's part of it that's part of the whole like you know because for years he's heard he's corny he needs to mature I think that he's realized that no matter what he does people are going to have an issue with it yeah so obviously he's done something right in his career obviously he's made the right decisions some he probably looks back and wish he would have did differently but for the most part Drake has got it right so I think all of these visuals are kind of like Leaning to that of, you know, oh, I think I'm corny and I should be doing this. No, I'm going to be in my house dancing, you know, with a Michael Jackson jacket on.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:Like just, you know, I'm saying in my big ass house with sexy red coming out to perform in my bedroom. Like I'm going to do exactly what it is that I want to do.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:There's nothing that I can tell me. There's nothing that I could say that's going to make me feel like you think I'm corny.
Speaker 2:OK, watch this. Watch how corny I can really be.
Speaker 1:But I really don't think there's anything corny about dancing in your kitchen.
Speaker 3:Listen, if your house looks like that, you can do whatever the fuck.
Speaker 2:You can do whatever you want to do.
Speaker 1:Well, that is why I do appreciate that he is using all the money that he does deserve and earned and worked hard for to use that other artists can't do. Because it's tough with artists now, I feel like, with music videos. You hear people like, yo, videos don't matter anymore. It's not so much they don't matter. It's that music videos now have to compete with an A24 or the amount of incredibly shot shows we get on Netflix per week with the most insane budgets ever. Yes, it's tough to grab someone's attention that has access to all of that with a three minute, $ 50, 000 budget video. It's really tough.
Speaker 1:So Because Drake has put himself in a position where he can't afford all these things. I do appreciate that as someone that likes visuals, that he is still cares about that in something that's kind of like a dead art to some degree. Right. Because obviously not every artist can do it at this level. So it's nice to see the people that can do it.
Speaker 2:Do it.
Speaker 1:But I appreciated the stream. He still had, he had some tidbits in there.
Speaker 3:Some of the, you know, the shirt he had on in Hot Topic, the non-kill shirt. They have a song called The Jig Is Up. So that was like a kind of little Easter egg he put in there.
Speaker 1:Oh, I didn't catch that one. Oh, is there a. What's the Dirt put an hour video about a Jay-Z disc?
Speaker 2:I mean, Dirt probably did.
Speaker 1:I'm joking, I'm fucking with you.
Speaker 4:Oh, he is?
Speaker 1:He's putting it together. He's probably still working, but.
Speaker 2:You know.
Speaker 1:I didn't catch that. Thank you for telling me that.
Speaker 3:But that's why I had, you know, I had tweeted out attention to details because, you know, at this point, everything is going to be intentional with Drake. I think that even him putting, you know, a lot of the backdrops from some of his videos in the past All of that has meaning to it. Like nothing is just, you know, I'm just doing this just to do it. Everything now I think is intentional and has a meaning and a message behind it. A lot of it is, you know, him just having fun and doing whatever the fuck he wants to do. But he's still going to have those moments where it's like, you know, if you catch that or if you caught that, then cool.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:I liked, I forgot which record it was. Whichever was like the solo stuff in the Carnival album. fair type stuff.
Speaker 2:That was the sickest shit ever.
Speaker 1:Before the Iron Man stuff, just that individual stuff. I thought it was just shot really cool. It actually kind of reminded me of Euphoria. Like a lot. I like that visual a lot. We were talking off mic. You think it's sick to ride a roller coaster by yourself. I've done that plenty of times.
Speaker 3:Riding a roller coaster at night by yourself. And I text Drake and I called him a maniac. I said, yo, you're a fucking maniac. Bro, and you could look at that scene You could tell he was really scared.
Speaker 1:It's not that crazy of a roller coaster.
Speaker 3:Bro, look at how hard he was gripping those handlebars. I know when you're gripping the handlebars so tight, your hands turn white. Drake is light-skinned, but his hands was like powder white. You can't tell me he wasn't scared to fuck on that. You've never been on one of those at the Jersey Shore? Those rocking ones?
Speaker 2:By myself?
Speaker 1:No. Well, I mean, there was other people at the.
Speaker 2:Sure.
Speaker 1:But yeah, I've go on rides by myself.
Speaker 3:You've never gone on a roller coaster, sat in the front of a roller coaster by yourself at night.
Speaker 2:It's never happened.
Speaker 1:A hundred percent. There was someone I didn't know sitting next to me because there was just a lot of people. I used to go to Seaside Heights as a kid. So you weren't by yourself. Well, that's because I can't afford to rent out all of Seaside Park.
Speaker 3:Back to my point. He's a maniac. You're on a roller coaster at night by yourself. That's some maniacal shit.
Speaker 1:I stood in line by myself to go down the big water slide two weeks ago when I took Amara to the water park.
Speaker 2:Weird.
Speaker 1:Your daughter's with you. Why not take her down the water slide with you? Well, I mean, my friend's mother was watching her. I said, I want to go try the big slide.
Speaker 2:Again, weird.
Speaker 4:What?
Speaker 1:I'm supposed to always do that with a friend?
Speaker 2:Your daughter's there.
Speaker 1:She can't go on that big ass, the drop one?
Speaker 4:Oh, yeah.
Speaker 1:No, no. She doesn't even wait. She starts flying.
Speaker 3:Yeah, yeah. No, no, no.
Speaker 2:She can't. It doesn't weigh enough. It's a height requirement for that one.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:But yeah, I mean, even messaging behind the amusement park by yourself- You know, all of that, you know, of, you know, basically isolating himself, secluding himself now. I think all of that has its meaning. And, you know, honestly, it's very clear at this point that, you know, he chooses to do it by himself.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:That all speaks to him obviously moving into what I believe is a level of independence.
Speaker 2:Like, I'm going to do this by myself.
Speaker 1:But there's a flip side to that coin of you bringing it up. It doesn't look that fun when you do isolate yourself at the funnest place in the world. Now you're just at the fair a little.
Speaker 2:In business? I think it's a great thing.
Speaker 1:Cartman did that in South Park. Stole all of Butter's money.
Speaker 2:How do you remember that? How is that on your brain? I don't know. Jesus.
Speaker 1:I actually didn't mind the Yeetverse.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:I was kind of like, okay.
Speaker 2:This isn't that bad.
Speaker 1:I like the other Don Toliver song. Again, I just want these back on. Not back on, but on streaming so I can fully hear them. I was a tad bit offended that you and Drake speak so much and you also know Kappas. I don't know if Drake had to hire some of those noobs. We would have done it off the strength if you just would have connected us all. I would have brought all of New Jersey to the classic video shoot. to do the shoulders of course.
Speaker 3:I think it was it was shoulder capacity they was at a capacity with too many shoulders there was enough shoulders I think they reached a lot of weight even in there yeah they reached the shoulder capacity I was not aware that Ben the Don was a was a capital that was news to me shout out to.
Speaker 2:The news yeah I've seen him on stream I think before he was at some show or something he was on stage.
Speaker 1:Well I mean I appreciated that I thought that was cool that they threw that in there And classic being one of my favorite records from everything. And I like that extended remix that they put. I hope that ends up on the album again. So, but shout out to the Noops.
Speaker 2:And look at that.
Speaker 1:Look at Drake caring about the Catholics, man.
Speaker 2:I mean, just showing love to, you know, showing love to the Greeks.
Speaker 1:I just feel like if you saw the call sheet, you could have just been like, yo, Roy, yo, you and your line want to go?
Speaker 3:For three shoulders. They got room for three more shoulders, man. If you want to be one of the shoulders that they let in, man.
Speaker 2:Show up over here at this time.
Speaker 1:Listen, Usher on the tour with Chris Brown, clearly there's some noob in his choreography team. He's doing capistros and that shit. Oh, OK.
Speaker 4:No, no.
Speaker 1:Like you're like not even like kind of.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:And then I forgot what the Chris Brown.
Speaker 2:Do y'all get offended by that?
Speaker 3:Like if you're not a Kappa and you do something similar to what do y'all call it?
Speaker 2:Y'all strut? Y'all strolling? My bad, baby.
Speaker 3:I know strolling strut is men are not supposed to strut.
Speaker 2:I get it.
Speaker 1:No, sometimes you got to strut. Sometimes you got to strut.
Speaker 2:You can do whatever you want as a human. I don't care. I don't have nothing to say about it.
Speaker 1:You got to strut sometimes.
Speaker 2:I get it.
Speaker 1:It's a mixed bag. It's hypocritical like everything else in the world. If somebody that was not Usher was doing it, yes. All the noobs would be offended. High key, a lot of them may swing on you.
Speaker 2:But like when Chris- So it's okay if you famous and you do it.
Speaker 1:That's why I said like there is, I'm just being truthful here.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:Sorry to all the cap up aside, but let's call a spade a spade. Right. It's called diamond a diamond. Right. Like, yes.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:Everyone would get furious if Maul started strolling here. But if Drake hit a little shimmy, we'd be like, yo. Y'all repost the video. Y'all click. Yeah.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 4:All right.
Speaker 2:I get it. That's real. That's honest.
Speaker 1:Like when, was it Boosie? Yeah. When Boosie wore that, that's kind of disrespectful though.
Speaker 2:Boosie's famous?
Speaker 1:Yeah. he wasn't like chris brown added it to his choreography i forgot what hit record it was in the music video like it's straight up cap but he has kappa's behind him okay like so that the representation yeah yeah okay um so then that's a little better than just throwing on the letters and going to a basketball game that's.
Speaker 3:Well throwing on the letters that's just yeah throwing the letters is totally different i get that.
Speaker 2:Yeah So is Boosie not honorary Kappa?
Speaker 1:So Kappa's the only fraternity or sorority out of the D9 that doesn't have honorary members.
Speaker 2:We don't allow that.
Speaker 1:And no disrespect to.
Speaker 2:Orgs that do.
Speaker 1:We just don't do that.
Speaker 2:Y'all not with the... Nah.
Speaker 4:I mean.
Speaker 2:You got to really walk the burning sands.
Speaker 1:No, because that's illegal.
Speaker 2:Well, not... Not.
Speaker 3:Technically walk burning sand, but like you got to really go through it to be, okay, I get it.
Speaker 2:So no honorary Kappas?
Speaker 1:No, there's no honorary Kappas. But I mean, we got- Maybe you could have, you.
Speaker 2:Know what I mean? Like spoke to some people for me and got me in there, but it's all good.
Speaker 1:No, if you just pay your $ 1, 500 and take the test, you could be, that's all it takes.
Speaker 2:It's like a Soho membership? Like Soho House?
Speaker 1:It's always been that way.
Speaker 2:I didn't know that.
Speaker 1:Or look up when they got, when pledging became illegal. I think it was like.
Speaker 2:It's illegal to pledge?
Speaker 1:Yeah. Hell yeah.
Speaker 2:It is? But they know that kids are doing it. So, like, why is... Yeah, 1980s, 1990s.
Speaker 1:That makes sense.
Speaker 4:Pledging is not illegal, but hazing is illegal.
Speaker 2:Hazing is illegal.
Speaker 1:That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 3:They know kids cross every fucking year in colleges.
Speaker 2:Like, how is it illegal?
Speaker 1:Hazing is what they put on Donuts Mall.
Speaker 2:No one does that. Shout out to one of my favorite Spike Lee movies.
Speaker 3:Um school days school days yes he loves school days he had that was kind of like you know shedding light in the 80s and 90s on the whole you know hazing and.
Speaker 1:Yeah college thing netflix put out a um uh like hazing type movie i forgot the name of it um about black reed organizations it got a lot of flack i didn't think it was a bad movie and i thought it was kind of accurate from what i've heard about people that have done that um the hazing it It was a little low budget, but it wasn't bad. But School Days, I mean, School Days is a classic.
Speaker 2:Yeah, classic movie.
Speaker 1:Oh, no, it was called The Burning Sands.
Speaker 2:There you go. See, look, come on, man.
Speaker 1:But they're leaning into that being illegal.
Speaker 2:Yes, I get it. I understand that. Also on the stream, Drake announced a tour, one of the records.
Speaker 3:So a tour is happening, is coming.
Speaker 4:2027.
Speaker 1:Yes. Predictions. Predictions. Stadium tour?
Speaker 2:Possibly.
Speaker 3:I do think that because we talked about it, we went to the last few Drake shows and we talked about it years ago, just visually, production-wise, what he was doing with his shows. I think that this tour might be an entirely different level of production as far as what the show looks like.
Speaker 1:Yeah. And just what the catalog is because, I mean, obviously he would be touring the three albums that just came out, but you also have a 20 year career. Like now you're well, well, well into the legacy act shit where it's like, nah, I want to hear records from 2010 too while you're out here. But I mean, I don't see why not, why Drake wouldn't do a stadium, like get all the fog in all the nonsense that has been said over the past few years with everything.
Speaker 1:But the last Drake tour, he did a whole week at Madison Square Garden, a whole week at Barclays. Yeah. I think that adds up to a fucking stadium.
Speaker 3:Do you think he does something like every night in each city he does multiple shows and every night is a different set, a different theme?
Speaker 1:That would be, I mean... I think he's the one artist that could do that. That would be super fire. I also saw, I mean, I know that Australian tour got pushed back, but didn't he have multiple stages at the one in Australia?
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:With different eras? I think something like that could be cool to go through where... You do that per night. But yeah, if he were to do arenas, I would prefer that style.
Speaker 3:What if he does the shows like he does Habib T, Maid of Honor, and it's like ladies only allowed at those shows? You brought that up before. I think it'd be a great idea. I think he could get that off. I think he could get that off. Back to Peach.
Speaker 2:What's a lady?
Speaker 3:I mean, we would have to all sit down as a community with the WNBA and decide exactly.
Speaker 1:Did the WNBA ever figure that out?
Speaker 2:Where did they land on that? No update? Okay.
Speaker 1:They're still in the meeting.
Speaker 2:Oh, they're still. They're still trying to figure out what the W and WNBA means.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:Got it.
Speaker 1:Trying to figure it out. All right. Until we forget about it and move on to the midterms.
Speaker 4:Yeah.
Speaker 1:They're still going to be in the meeting.
Speaker 2:Got it.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 3:No, but I do think Drake could pull that off. I do think that he can pull that off, especially with these three albums that he put out. different vibes. I think he can pull that off.
Speaker 1:I just, and outside of, you know, PJ's joke or just the times in 2026 with gender and everything like that, that would be a tough thing to pull off even without all of that. Cause the amount of guys that would try to sneak into, like it would just become a problem. It sounds really cool on paper, but you couldn't, you couldn't pull it off.
Speaker 2:Why not?
Speaker 1:There'd be loopholes, guys trying to get in. It would be, I just don't see it going smoothly at the box office.
Speaker 2:Well, you just have mom Donnie put, you know, ages at the gates.
Speaker 1:Put the fences back up.
Speaker 2:Put the fences back up around the garden.
Speaker 3:Tell her, you know, if it's somebody who you're not sure about, you reach down to them and cough.
Speaker 2:Just to figure.
Speaker 4:It out.
Speaker 1:But then also, where do you draw, like, what if Jalen Brunson wants to go? Is it ladies plus Jalen? Because you can't tell Jalen Brunson he can't go to the guard.
Speaker 2:Jalen got to go to Iceman.
Speaker 1:Iceman for the fellas?
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:And that's why double standards should exist. That's why they do exist. Imagine if it was just Iceman, just the fellas. I'd come in here as T.D. I'd be T.D.E. by that point.
Speaker 3:Imagine a bunch of men screaming, Janice, shut the fuck up. An arena full of men just screaming, Janice, shut the fuck up. That's the most manly shit ever.
Speaker 1:Have you seen those like anger retreats that men are going on now? Like they just go in the forest and fucking yell and then they do ayahuasca and shit.
Speaker 4:No.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's a wild fucking concept. They're just in the forest yelling. They're just fucking screaming, getting their shit off. Yeah, like all the rage that men.
Speaker 3:Oh, Mother Nature's going to pay us back for this one. She's going to come back. You haven't seen the wildfires in Canada?
Speaker 2:Yeah, she's going to come back.
Speaker 1:This is a direct result.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you can't scream at Mother Nature.
Speaker 1:But that could be like our version of just... And who's your Janice? Right.
Speaker 2:Whoever your Janice is, tell her to shut the fuck up.
Speaker 1:Everyone has a Janice.
Speaker 2:Everybody has a Janice.
Speaker 1:So just as the fellas, we'd all get together and get that out of our system. I do think that he could pull off something like that, though. Three different shows, same city, three different nights. Yeah. And even if the Iceman one is just more of all your rap shit, VT is all the dance shit.
Speaker 2:Right, right. honestly never mind and all of that yeah i do think he can pull that.
Speaker 1:Off that would be fire and that'd be an incentive too like i'm by me to see all three how close are we to the drake country album though i mean he got dare i say that he took our advice when they're going into the hot topic he did get on that little emo wave that we were saying he should get on because that was a new snippet right that wasn't a record we had heard He was on his alternative rock TRL shit there. If we're already there, I'd give it, I don't know, five more years living in Texas? Mike in a full one?
Speaker 2:I think it's happening. I think a Drake country album is definitely happening.
Speaker 3:Not a traditional country album, but I think that, you know, because even on ice man what.
Speaker 2:Song is that peach we he had uh uh the intro and then it changed huh.
Speaker 3:Rusty was it rusty yes the beginning of rusty that has country elements to it.
Speaker 1:I think that was on um sexy songs for you that had country elements.
Speaker 2:On it yep uh what's the one that's one of my favorite songs i um.
Speaker 3:The drumming yeah that shit is hard so he has that vibe he's been flirting with that sound for a few albums for a few projects now but I do think that cause even on the stream when he was at his house in Texas you know driving the big pickup you know on the ranch like he's giving us he's giving us the elements and the signs of you know leaning into that.
Speaker 2:So I think it's definitely happening.
Speaker 1:I kind of want to be a cowboy on the low.
Speaker 2:You want to be a cowboy?
Speaker 1:Like imagine just having just a plot out in Texas and like your form of transportation is like those little Dune buggy. You got a gun. You don't even need the gun, but it's just sitting on the dash.
Speaker 2:That's for coyote. That's not really for shooters. That's just for wildlife.
Speaker 1:Yeah. And it's just like you and dry nature. And you're just one with the soil. Yeah.
Speaker 2:I would want to live that way. But would you do farm shit? Hell yeah. Would you tend to the animals every day?
Speaker 1:Absolutely.
Speaker 2:Throw out the hay barrels?
Speaker 4:Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I would love that. I told you my favorite job ever was landscaping.
Speaker 3:But you're such a city guy. You wear a tote bag. Farm life is completely different.
Speaker 1:I cut all the parks for three summers. That's because you were on work release. I was not on work release. It was a good paying job. It paid me like $ 12 an hour. In 2009, that was great money. That's called community service. Like, you had to do that. They gave me a neon yellow, like, shirt.
Speaker 3:Yeah, that's what they give all the fellas on the side of the highway.
Speaker 1:And I told you I used to mop the nasty bathroom and shit. And somebody took a big-ass Sharpie and put mop staff on my back.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but that's different.
Speaker 3:See, mopping the bathroom in a park and cleaning up, like, real bullshit.
Speaker 2:Not bullshit. Bull.
Speaker 1:No, that's fertilizer.
Speaker 2:See?
Speaker 1:These Bronx guys, man. They don't understand nature. That's fertilizer, man. You don't clean that up. It's fertilizer. Put that back in the earth.
Speaker 2:No, it's fertilizer. Once you pick it up and take it somewhere, but you have to pick it up.
Speaker 1:We're just going, we're just going to grow here now.
Speaker 2:No, I can see you living on a ranch though. I would love to live on a ranch. Yeah, I can see that.
Speaker 1:I would love all that cowboy shit. I'd be scared in the beginning, but I.
Speaker 2:Get used to it.
Speaker 3:I think it's a lifestyle that many, many people want though. Kind of like you feel like you're off the grid. Life is simple.
Speaker 1:I just a lot of work though. I, Oh yeah, for sure. Um, I'd be, my only fear would be I would turn vegan.
Speaker 2:Living on a farm? How does that, how does that correlate to turn vegan?
Speaker 1:Like some of my West Indian friends that would go back to like their family's house in Georgetown or wherever, they like kill the animal that they raise.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:I can't do that to Hank.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Like cap williams has a.
Speaker 3:Funny stand-up like talking about that how he brought a bunch of land he has a bunch of animals chickens everything he was like i've been ordering.
Speaker 2:Uber eats.
Speaker 3:I ain't killed he said i had this this land for three years i ain't killed the animal yet.
Speaker 1:Like i just don't know if i can't do.
Speaker 3:That yeah no you can't do it he's like these are my friends i can't i can't kill him he said if you kill a baby goat you're a maniac like.
Speaker 1:Like in Guyana, they raise the goat so it's big enough to feed it. You don't think they name it?
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Yeah, no, I can't do that.
Speaker 1:Like farm to table when you know his name is crazy.
Speaker 3:That's a whole different level of insanity. I'm not that big of a cowboy. Yeah, no, no. I mean, I don't eat meat, but I definitely wouldn't be able to do that. I'm not watching this thing that I woke up every morning and fed and, you know, make sure I had a clean space. And then we decide at Christmas, this is going to be on the table.
Speaker 2:Like, no.
Speaker 1:And like, even outside of the obvious, like with cows that you would have for a while to provide milk, then eventually kill them for beef or pigs. Even the chickens, like in the morning, there's no way I'm not talking to the chickens when I'm throwing shit out in the morning. I'm going to get to know them.
Speaker 2:Yeah. It's a bond that you form. I mean, I guess it's kind of like. You're here to feed me. People look at it like that. It's a cycle of life. But no, I can't do that.
Speaker 1:But that'd be such an American thing to do, to Cat Williams' point. Own a farm and order food.
Speaker 2:Order Uber Eats. Ordering Popeyes or Uber Eats.
Speaker 1:What's the Chris Rock joke? Only Americans go hunting on a full stomach. Which is a crazy concept.
Speaker 2:Shit is crazy. Only in America, man.

Speaker 1:Staying on new music, Maul and I briefly spoke about the Janae album, but we wanted to wait until our amazing female counterpart. Oh, no misogyny with that. That'd been fun. Came back to the show. Listen, man, this album is incredible, but Jenea's the problem. Common denominator here.
Speaker 2:What Cardi said, am I the drama? Jenea is the drama.
Speaker 1:I apologize for not remembering the Twitter account that I'm about to quote. I would give credit, but I never saved it.
Speaker 2:They don't give us credit. It's okay. He went along.
Speaker 1:Yeah, right. They literally clip our stuff with no permission and make money off of it. Somebody tweeted out Future and Jenea are geniuses in the fact that they can sing about being the victim so well on situations that they caused themselves. I think that summed it up pretty well with both of them. Damaris, where do you land on this new Janae? The album? I think it's amazing. I think it's one of her.
Speaker 4:One of, which is hard to say because all of Janae's albums are really good, but I really like this one a lot. I think it was like a great breakdown of what it, like sequencing, what it feels like to realize, oh, I'm losing myself in this relationship. Oh, I'm with the wrong person. Oh, you're a piece of shit and your mother should have raised you better.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 4:Oh, but hey, I got to take some of this accountability because I should have been left a long time ago.
Speaker 1:I knew you was a ho to. Oh, I'm out. I'm healing. Oh, new nigga. Sunshine rainbows. I'm happy.
Speaker 4:We moving forward. I think it's a great culmination of what that journey feels like. I think she smoked it. And I think it has a lot of standouts. The only thing I'm not really seeing is a single. I don't really see a single single.
Speaker 1:Yeah. But does Jhené typically have the single single? Yes. Jhené usually has a single.
Speaker 2:So good is not a single. So good.
Speaker 1:If I was to point one out, so good would be a single, but I mean, it appeared to be the one, it was the one that entered the charts on the first day. So, um, but you know, of course, outside of, I do like the song, but I'm sure a lot of people went to click it because it has Kendrick on it. Um, but I mean, ceilings freestyle, I know it's not a single single, but in 2026, that, uh, what's a single.
Speaker 4:Well, when I think single, I don't mean a song that could be a single. I mean a song that they made with it being a single in mind. And I don't see one of those.
Speaker 1:I think that's the Kendrick record.
Speaker 2:She definitely made that Kendrick record.
Speaker 1:So good.
Speaker 2:You don't get a record with Kendrick and it not be looked at as single.
Speaker 1:And I mean this in a respectful way. I think with the Luther blueprint and seeing the success of Luther and how they structured that song. Yes. We're trying to make a single, which there's nothing wrong with that. It's a, it's a good record. I'm, sure they'll probably shoot a video. Um, if there's somebody that can get Kendrick to do a visual, it would be Janae. So I could see a video coming from that and it being the actual single. But as far as like, I do kind of use singles these days of what is getting traction on socials, like, and what people are talking about the most. And to me, that's ceiling. It would be ceiling are so good, but ceilings are so good.
Speaker 4:But like ceiling is just not, Ceiling is so good, but it just doesn't give like Triggered is a freestyle, but Triggered gives single.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's definitely more. Triggered is a single. You know what I'm saying?
Speaker 4:So Ceilings, if you want to click on the lyrics, she, she. So she when she pointed out. So Janae tweeted because everybody was obviously every single lyric on this. People are attributed to Sean.
Speaker 2:Somebody.
Speaker 1:People are?
Speaker 2:I think Janae attributed it to Sean.
Speaker 1:No, people. She never came out and said these lyrics are about.
Speaker 2:She ain't got to.
Speaker 1:So the original MP3 file said Sean Anderson freestyle.
Speaker 4:For He Belongs that people were assuming was about Big Sean because the lyrics said he belongs. You know, can't turn a fling into a real thing. Can't turn a promise to a ready man. Can't turn a hoe into a house husband. Can't turn a hoe into a husband. Like basically he belongs to the streets. He belongs to everybody he meets. A fan was tweeting that and she said song is not about him. That song is not about Sean. And people took it to as if she was saying the whole album is not about Sean.
Speaker 1:She didn't say that. She said He Belongs is not about Sean.
Speaker 2:Those lyrics are on He Belongs?
Speaker 4:Yes.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 4:I think Ceilings is about Sean. I think Ceiling, not Ceiling, sorry. I think Ceiling could possibly be about him. But I didn't see anything with her clarifying that that song is not about him unless I missed it. So ceiling, you know, I love a little lyric breakdown more if you want to.
Speaker 2:The only way to fix it is to end it. Now, when she said that, I mean, I could.
Speaker 3:Turn the song off after that one line. The only way to fix it is to end it. That's my bag right there. But I don't know if you can comprehend it. I can't spend another day pretending. No, I don't got no business with you. You'd rather ask forgiveness than permission. I'd rather be with someone who just gets it because you told me that this time it'd be different. But I see no difference in you.
Speaker 1:All right. Well, two way street. Let's let's say that this is for podcast consideration. This is about Sean. We know publicly they dated. She got she married somebody else. And then before she was divorced, but separated, got back with Sean. And they have had an up and down where they all. go date someone else, and then they run back to each other. You're an active participant in that. If you're not seeing change after the fifth time, are you a victim or volunteer in this situation? This isn't like, she's gone back to Sean 10 fucking times.
Speaker 3:Yeah, but when you have a family with somebody, you keep fighting.
Speaker 1:Well, that was the last go-round when they got married and had a kid. Before that, they had been... Allegedly. We've all been in those situations where you maybe will go back to someone after you've been in a relationship and there is someone that's actively in your life. They date someone else. You date someone else and y'all get back together. Then y'all break up, date someone else. And that pattern at some point, you have to take the accountability of continuing to go back to that person.
Speaker 3:Yeah, you definitely have to take accountability for putting yourself in the same situation over and over, hoping that it would be different this time.
Speaker 2:And, you know, at some point it's like, well, maybe you like that. you know roller coaster.
Speaker 1:That yeah you like the ups and downs and you like the um reconciliation you like coming back to this person and how it makes you feel having that new feeling over and over again after y'all break up and then get back together but that's.
Speaker 3:A human thing i think we continue to put ourselves in situations um I say all the time, sometimes you're just socially lazy. You don't want the whole process of meeting somebody new, having to learn them, getting used to their pheromones. It's just too much. I don't want to keep going through that. I'd rather go back to somebody that I'm comfortable with, that I know. We have history. Hoping that this time the outcome is different. We get it right this time. But, you know, after a.
Speaker 2:While, it's like that situation ain't good for you. It's not going to change.
Speaker 1:And I mean, not to be too deep. And again, Janae, I know you're not listening, but this is all healthy conversation. We're not we don't know if this really has anything to do with you and Sean. We're just using the lyrics and everything and applying it to our life. What gets really fucked up? Cause usually why you always go back to that person is because they get it to your point. Social laziness. This person knows me. They know, they know everything about me. I feel comfortable with them.
Speaker 1:We can just be quiet and just chill. And we, they get it. That's why you typically go back to them.
Speaker 4:Yeah.
Speaker 1:After you break up with somebody. Yeah. That's who she's saying. Doesn't get it now. That's the worst reality check ever of the person you thought like, Oh, they get it.
Speaker 2:Nah. Go to, can you put the lyrics to ghost? Let's talk about that record.
Speaker 1:Can we read those last four lines real quick?
Speaker 3:This is a ceiling still. And that's the type of shit I know you always been on. But I'm the type of bitch that you should never do wrong. And you the type of bitch only a mother can make when they daddy don't stay.
Speaker 2:Oh, baby. And you the type of bitch only a mother can make.
Speaker 1:When the daddy don't stay.
Speaker 2:I want to pull up. I mean, I'm going to call a nigga's fatherless. Go to Ghost... I think it's the second or first song.
Speaker 1:It's not that child's fault.
Speaker 3:Just the first verse. Just give them all first verse. Just give them all first verse. No, actually, it's not the first verse.
Speaker 2:Go down. Please scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll. Right there. Verse three.
Speaker 1:Classic.
Speaker 3:Now, this is to me classic Janae right here. Janae is great at giving you all of the pain and all of the suffering and But then she'll find a sweet melody and find a kind of like a flow state where she'll kind of take accountability.
Speaker 1:Right.
Speaker 3:And on the verse three of Ghost, she says, I got a vision for myself. I got to get it for myself. I got to listen to myself in competition with myself. This is between me and myself.
Speaker 2:I don't need help. I need myself.
Speaker 3:I take my L's all by myself. Nobody else is just myself. I got to handle it myself. I've been mishandling myself.
Speaker 2:I'm not going to lie. When you hear your lady say those words, she ain't never coming back.
Speaker 1:Clip.
Speaker 2:Nope. You can forget about it.
Speaker 1:Nope.
Speaker 3:Like whatever we was trying to work, we just going to be better as friends.
Speaker 2:If that.
Speaker 3:If that, you know, maybe equating to say hello and passing.
Speaker 2:If that. If that.
Speaker 3:But when she says I've been mishandling myself. I don't know what you did, homie, but she ain't coming back. Like that's completely like she something happened. She had a talk with whoever her God is, had a revelation. And she something just went off in her head where it's like, yo, I'm playing myself.
Speaker 2:I can't continue.
Speaker 4:Once somebody take accountability and be like, you know what? I'm not even that mad at you because.
Speaker 1:I knew better.
Speaker 2:That's peace. That's when you found peace.
Speaker 1:I knew better. So I forgive you. I forgive you.
Speaker 4:I actually need to get back to myself because I've been mishandling myself.
Speaker 1:You can go on and say goodbye. And fellas.
Speaker 3:What hurts more? Do yourself a favor. When a woman says that, leave her alone.
Speaker 2:Fact. Because a lot of y'all, like y'all do this thing where a woman, y'all just leave her alone.
Speaker 3:Like y'all time is up. She gave you ample time, ample opportunity to try to get it right, to try to be in her life. It ran its course.
Speaker 2:It's over.
Speaker 3:Whenever you hear a woman saying, I've been mishandling myself. I got to do it by myself. She's getting her shit together. She's focusing on herself. Please leave that woman alone. As men, we got to recognize that and be like, you know what? Let me just let that woman do her thing.
Speaker 1:And that's where you start saying dumb shit like the beginning of Ceilings. Like, yo, this time I'll be different. Yeah.
Speaker 2:No. Stop.
Speaker 1:Just leave that woman alone.
Speaker 3:Just leave her alone. Go find somebody that's for you. But this woman is gone.
Speaker 1:What hurts more in these two scenarios? I know my answer. Is it hurt more when she starts saying things like, your mother could only raise a bitch like this when your daddy is... It starts digging into personal shit that you told her. Or when she says, I'm not even mad at you. I mishandled this.
Speaker 2:No, that's the... You know it's over.
Speaker 1:It stings so much more.
Speaker 3:It's over at that point. She's completely done with it. She's detached herself from any type of emotions and anything that it comes... When it comes to you. So, yeah, I think that's when you have that's when you know that the relationship is done. When a woman starts talking like that.
Speaker 1:Damaris, do you think most women know that about men? That, yeah, sometimes it hurts when you guys call us bitches and bring up things we told you in confidence to use against us. And that's why your dad left. That doesn't hurt as much as just being peaceful and going like, I'm not mad at you. You are who you are. I'm cool. That stings way more. I think some women know that.
Speaker 4:That's one of the things I tell my friends when we doing manipulation 101. But at the end of the day, you can't fake the peace that comes with really letting shit go. So if you sit up here and say like, if you just do the pretend, oh, I'm not mad at you, this, this and that just to hurt him. It doesn't, it negates itself if you go back. So you can't fake that. Like if you really want that punishment of letting a nigga know that you've healed on and moved on, then emotionally, then you have to actually leave and not come back. That's the only way to get that message across. So if you don't, if you're not ready to let that person go, then don't, you can't pull it out.
Speaker 2:It will work.
Speaker 1:You got to mean that for.
Speaker 2:It to hurt. Jenea. So she even gave us a Christmas song. That break song. That's Christmas. That's a Christmas carol. I can't wait for Christmas. The break.
Speaker 1:That's a Christmas break. That entire album is fire.
Speaker 4:If I, if I had to pick the standouts for me, my favorites will probably be nothing.
Speaker 1:Ghost, obviously nothing nice to say. Yeah. Fire.
Speaker 4:Bitch said, you know what? You lucky I'm saved. I actually, hey, go ahead.
Speaker 2:Do your thing.
Speaker 3:And then she sampled, I think, a song, scroll all the way down, a song that I think every, I don't mind, I think every West Coast artist has sampled. Yeah.
Speaker 2:Used that sample that she used in I Don't Mind. But a dope record, one of my favorite records on the album as well.
Speaker 4:I like the Tyga song too. The Tyga song feels like I'm in a L.A. house party. With a crop top on And some low rise jeans And some flip flops I wasn't mad at the record at all Yeah And I'm just bouncing Like Tyga never misses With like that type of I like So Good With Kendrick Like Kendrick gave her a lot On that song And what I mean by that is You know sometimes You get a feature And it ain't really no feature.
Speaker 1:That was like a feature Oh they made that song together They made that song together In person Like yeah Two mics in the booth That was yeah.
Speaker 2:What y'all think about Neighbors with Larry June.
Speaker 1:I like it I like it I think it's nice. And I think we said this on Monday. It's funny tearing up all your exes at the top of the album and at the bottom of the album. In between, you just have a nice bubbly record with your man. the bottom of the album isn't even really tearing up no it's not uh Beach Boy I like pause Beach Boy is fire.
Speaker 4:Yeah I like Nami's um haiku I think that was before the song for her daughter like I feel like that's like more feel good toward like the bottom I feel like she tore her ex up in the beginning and it's like oh by the way new nigga we happy we bonding like like yeah that's how it feel once you release that hurt like you know what I'm not mad at you no that's what's up I've been mishandling myself let me go that's what's up Handle myself the right way and hand the handlebars.
Speaker 1:To another nigga.
Speaker 3:But the one thing y'all missing is that ceiling record, that beat. If Big Sean decides to jump on that beat.
Speaker 1:I don't think he's going to do that.
Speaker 2:All right.
Speaker 1:There's a lot of space on that beat.
Speaker 2:That's a Big Sean beat.
Speaker 4:Yep.
Speaker 1:A lot of space for.
Speaker 2:A Big Sean pocket. I'm going to say if Big Sean has something that he wants to say in response to any of this, the beat that he would probably be doing that on is ceiling freestyle. Yeah.
Speaker 1:He could even double time on that.
Speaker 2:Listen, man, I'm just telling you, when I was listening to that, I heard, boy, I heard it. I was like, oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Speaker 4:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, Sean is on his way. And knowing how, like, diabolical women are. There could be some shit we don't even know about where that beat is from maybe a TM88 Part 2 album that got scratched. Because that's a Sean flow. That's a Sean BPM. 100%.
Speaker 2:I hear Sean's cadence on that.
Speaker 3:He got space, like you said, to do double time or he could slow his flow down and really get his point across. I mean, if Sean is going to respond to anything, I don't think he will. I don't think it'll become one of those back and forth things.
Speaker 2:I don't see... Big Sean and Jhene going through anything like that but.
Speaker 3:He's not really that type of guy if he just has anything he wants to say even if he wants to apologize and take accountability publicly.
Speaker 1:I mean alright Sean did make his diamond record I don't fuck with you but he did say on no more interviews I'm not making any more records about my ex even though the last one went triple platinum I don't really see Sean replying to this even though he has in the past I just don't see it okay I hope he does.
Speaker 4:Especially I feel like if it's, if, if our assumptions are right from the lyrics, which we do not know these people repeating it, we don't know anything. If my, our assumptions are right that he was cheating, cheating on somebody and them getting mad and tearing you up in a song coming back is just kind of like, it gives like, Song Cry by Joey Badass. Like, just leave me alone. Just let me heal the way I heal. 444 is really the only way you can reply. Yeah.
Speaker 2:I'm sorry.
Speaker 1:I'm sorry. I'm a terrible nigga. I'm sorry. Don't tell our daughter.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Like, I'm a horrible nigga.
Speaker 4:Y'all, she didn't even tell y'all how bad I was. Like, I was absolutely horrific.
Speaker 1:My bad. Like, I had to grow up. That's the only way to come back. Like, there's no.
Speaker 4:Yeah.
Speaker 1:I mean. We'll see. But I mean, I'm sure Sean knows if it's about him or not out the gate. Because he would know who Lisa, Paige, and Brittany are. Because that's when you're like.
Speaker 2:All right, damn.
Speaker 1:I'm caught.
Speaker 2:She ain't use no real names. You know, she changed her name. She changed her name. Janae ain't not going to do that. She ain't going to get them girls that much like... She ain't going to do that. She going to switch the names. But like, Sean know who... That's a Jace, too, though. He know. But I don't think Jhene would use real names. I don't think she would do that. He might get a cease and desist.
Speaker 4:My bitch said, you are opportunist. You are out, but it's okay. Guess I'll charge you to the game.
Speaker 2:You called Sean an opportunist?
Speaker 4:Yeah.
Speaker 2:That's sick.
Speaker 4:Well, hold on. We do not know what she was talking about, Sean. In the song, she said... Who do you think.
Speaker 2:She was talking about?
Speaker 1:She could have been talking about anybody.
Speaker 3:I asked you directly. You're not going to do this with me. I asked you, who do you think she's talking about?
Speaker 1:I have no clue.
Speaker 4:No clue. but as Rory has written songs and some of the lines have been about one person some of the lines might have been about another person some of the lines might have been fake you just made that up but might have been like you know I'm saying like not every line has to be directed at not every line I'm asking you about that line it just happens to rhyme and.
Speaker 3:We're talking about Janae yeah like why yo Damaris come in here doing this shit with this politically correct bullshit just speak to who you think she talking.
Speaker 2:To I don't one of her exes one of her exes I.
Speaker 1:Know that's right okay but then you know the internet's gonna dig up everything Big Sean's first verse on Living Single. Started to mix up Ashley with Tanisha saying hi Brittany when I'm on the phone with Lisa. We talking about Jhene right now. We talking about Jhene. We talking about one of the greatest writers we have of our generation. Don't do the crime.
Speaker 3:I ain't gonna lie though. Women that perform barefoot though, it's something. I don't know man. You can't trust women that perform barefoot. Cause they just, I think they hold like powers.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:It's like, they just remember every fucking thing.
Speaker 2:Like why you remember everything?
Speaker 1:This is from Big Sean song in 2013. Remember when we was laid up, you and I at page crib was there so long I could have paid rent. And I mean, Janae has not been shy to call her shit. I meant like comfort and ending freestyle. She names all seven of her exes. By name. She didn't change her name. We knew every person she was talking about. We talk about Janae now. She doesn't play these games. Oh, I'm going to be secretive. It's different meanings.
Speaker 2:No, no, no.
Speaker 1:This is about Lisa and Paige.
Speaker 3:Yeah, Janae, she do all of this and then she goes to a sound bath and just cleanses her spirit.
Speaker 2:Get her chakras back.
Speaker 1:Get all of that negative energy.
Speaker 2:Off of her.
Speaker 3:She's probably going to cut her hair, have a new Zendaya haircut.
Speaker 2:You know, just.
Speaker 1:I want everyone to be happy. I'm just saying a lot of things rhyme with Larry.
Speaker 2:That's all. Yeah. Scary, hairy, Barry.
Speaker 1:Quite contrary.
Speaker 2:Mary.
Speaker 4:And then when Larry come out with a song that say, you want your family back, then what?
Speaker 1:See, leave niggas alone. Cause you can't. I'm saying from maybe from Sean's perspective, I didn't say from Janae. Larry is a fan of the show. And so was Sean. Both of them are friends of the show. Shout out to both of those gentlemen. I'm saying Sean, if he gets, if he gets a, a hold of the airy cadence. I don't know. Things could go crazy. I don't think he should do that. I think he should, you know, move on, start a, you know, get a new family.
Speaker 1:And you can't do that with, with Larry June. Not that I think Sean has any interest in dissing Larry. It probably even feels any type of way.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:But if you, if you diss Larry June, like he's too cool. You don't think Sean feels some.
Speaker 2:Type of way about Larry dating Janae? I don't know.
Speaker 1:Oh, now you playing my game. You don't know. I don't know these people.
Speaker 2:Yo, what's wrong with y'all? These are humans. You know that, right? Like, Larry and Sean have worked together. Like, they've... Okay.
Speaker 1:I didn't think of that aspect. Yeah, they have worked together.
Speaker 2:What alchemists?
Speaker 1:What are you talking about?
Speaker 4:Oh, yeah.
Speaker 1:Fuck. Yeah, that's right. They've worked together. Jenea's probably had to shoot.
Speaker 2:Like, you can't... That's like when Remy.
Speaker 1:DM to her and said, hubby loves you. That was crazy. That was crazy.
Speaker 2:You got to feel a way about that.
Speaker 1:Okay. I take back what I said. You are correct. I would feel a way too. I'm more so was saying without that bit of information that I forgot about, I've been in relationships and broken up and did not care when she got in another relationship. And then there's been times that I have. So I was saying maybe Sean in this instance doesn't care that his ex has moved on.
Speaker 2:Okay. No, not that your ex has moved on.
Speaker 1:But now, yeah.
Speaker 3:If your child's mother started dating Ryan, started dating somebody that you worked with, a peer, not saying Jhené can't date other rappers and artists, there's mad niggas that Sean ain't work with.
Speaker 1:But there's mad niggas that he did. Ain't nobody about to do that. That nigga not good music. Larry ain't good music.
Speaker 2:Like, And he ain't got to be. I ain't say he was his label mate.
Speaker 1:Well, good music is very forgiving, as we've seen.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Relax. If it was good music, it'd probably be accepted. But like this? Like, come on, man. Sean definitely feels a way that Larry is dating Jhene. He definitely feels a way.
Speaker 4:Yeah, he can feel a way about it. I'm like, but she not wrong. I mean, you niggas did one song together. It's like if you niggas guest starred on somebody's podcast, now y'all bitches can't fuck them?
Speaker 1:Like, y'all ain't on the same.
Speaker 2:My baby mother? My child's mother? No, she can't date. She can't date somebody that I worked with. No, come on.
Speaker 4:If you just went on a podcast or y'all was on a podcast together. Y'all was on one podcast, one episode.
Speaker 1:One time. Now she can never date that person.
Speaker 3:If it's something like that, then now, to be fair, I don't know.
Speaker 2:Larry and Sean.
Speaker 1:Your baby brother can't fuck Bulek Ev.? That's such a wild statement.
Speaker 2:No, no, no. Listen, listen. Let me explain. And I don't have a baby mother.
Speaker 1:Salute to Kev.
Speaker 3:But if I found out my baby mother fucked bootleg Kev, I would have to rethink everything I've done in life.
Speaker 2:Everything.
Speaker 1:That's shady.
Speaker 2:It's not shady.
Speaker 3:Kev is a successful man. Kev is he owns clubs and shit I would still my point I would have to think about me and my decisions in your journey if me if bootleg Kev is now dating my babies no more socks for you you're barefoot i'm just i would have to i would have to rethink some things is all i'm saying.
Speaker 1:But if like alchemist asked sean for that verse sean cut it out studio without larry yo we're doing a visual can you slide through and just do your Your verse real quick.
Speaker 2:Something like that.
Speaker 4:Man, I don't give a fuck if them niggas was texting someone saying, yo, this is fire. I don't give a fuck if y'all wrote the lyrics together.
Speaker 2:See?
Speaker 1:Y'all are not in this. Y'all are not friends.
Speaker 3:Yeah, but you say that and then as soon as a nigga do something like that to you with one of your girls that's just like a girl that you just know.
Speaker 1:You just know.
Speaker 3:Y'all got the same brow lady. You going to attend that brow salon to fuck up. Same brow ladies.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:If y'all can just got the same brow lady. Y'all just see each other at the brow salon and passing.
Speaker 1:Hey girl.
Speaker 2:Yeah. And I'm on my way.
Speaker 1:I'm going to Paris to see Jay-Z. Okay, cool. It's something like that.
Speaker 3:If you find out your baby father's now dating that girl that you just know in the brow salon. that's a you bet not but that's very different though why is that very different because janae's dating pool is not what my boyfriend's dating pool is i don't know what that means janae cannot just date anybody she doesn't have the she's not like what do you mean she can't just date whoever she wants to date clearly clearly she could date whoever she wants to.
Speaker 1:Date Janae is famous and rich.
Speaker 2:What that mean?
Speaker 4:When you are famous and rich, your pool is a little bit smaller because you usually will only date other richer people.
Speaker 1:Summer Walker would like a word. And y'all clown her for that all the time. When have we ever clowned Summer Walker for the men that she dated? Never. Fine, one time we've ever done that. I mean, the general consensus of y'all, not you at all.
Speaker 3:So you think because a woman is rich and successful that she can only date rich and successful men?
Speaker 1:She should probably be dating within her pool.
Speaker 4:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Why? I'm not doing this with y'all. I'm just saying, why? I'm not. The same way you wasn't doing that with me, I'm not doing this with y'all. Y'all know why.
Speaker 2:Y'all know why. I don't know why.
Speaker 4:Why she should only date somebody else who's in her tax bracket?
Speaker 2:So if I'm rich and successful.
Speaker 1:Oh, no, no. Because now we're going to have a real conversation.
Speaker 2:So if I'm rich and successful, I should only date a rich and successful woman?
Speaker 4:Do we not talk about double standards all the time?
Speaker 1:But at the same time, you don't date broke bitches, do you? You don't, right? I didn't say Janay should date a broke nigga. Do you date broke bitches?
Speaker 2:No.
Speaker 4:Do you even, you don't even like women that don't even really got it for real.
Speaker 1:Like we see what you date. You date women who got it. Yes or no?
Speaker 2:Got what though? Like some money.
Speaker 1:When did this turn to a personal attack? A successful career.
Speaker 2:I mean, I date women that have their shit together.
Speaker 1:Exactly.
Speaker 2:I don't want somebody that's trying to figure it out at my age. I ain't got.
Speaker 4:Time for that. Exactly, because you can relate to them. Y'all both work. Y'all have stuff to relate to. When you're in a relationship with somebody, you want somebody you can relate to. Janae lives a specific type of lifestyle. Her kids have to live a specific type of lifestyle, not even just in regards to money, in regards to paparazzi, in regards to the type of shit that she's exposed to. So more than likely, the people that she would mesh with are people who live a similar lifestyle to hers.
Speaker 4:It's not even just about money.
Speaker 1:I don't think that's necessarily true though. You initially were alluding more to, we're not saying that Janae should not strive for a successful man that has means. No one's saying that.
Speaker 2:Right.
Speaker 1:You were alluding to, and correct me if I'm wrong, this is how I took it. You were saying more of in the rich and famous world.
Speaker 4:Yes.
Speaker 1:That's how I took it. So that's why I.
Speaker 3:Just- we were pushing back on the famous yeah like i don't i don't think she needs to date somebody that's like once she steps out with them they know who he is.
Speaker 1:They're not even like the outside type of celebrity to begin.
Speaker 4:With the entire conversation i just had i didn't really mention famous i.
Speaker 1:Know that's why i said kirby i'm wrong we both interpreted like you were getting at her lifestyle.
Speaker 2:Being famous you're saying her pool i'm just like she could be mad regular i mean regular meaning like they are successful to have things going on but you wouldn't know who the person is But I brought that up.
Speaker 4:And then you said, well, if I'm a man, don't I do it? Does that mean I can only date successful women? I can only date rich women. If I'm a rich man, does that mean I can only date rich women? I literally was specifically talking about, yeah, they have to have means. I never really mentioned famous.
Speaker 2:Oh, so somebody that just got their shit together.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:But you we got to remind the tape.
Speaker 1:It sounded.
Speaker 3:Yeah, it started with it started with because she's dating Larry June.
Speaker 1:Right. So and Sean.
Speaker 3:And so you saying like basically she has to it has to still be somebody on that level. as far as like face card, as far as like success, as far as like notoriety.
Speaker 1:That's what it felt like.
Speaker 4:I feel like the notoriety part of it fits into the lifestyle, not because they're famous, but because they can certain shit. These are the circles. You date in your circles. When you go out and you see people, you just said Jenea don't go outside. She dates in her circles. Where would her circle be as the famous celebrity?
Speaker 2:She could date the man that has the number one selling crystal shop in California. Yeah.
Speaker 1:He sells more crystals than anybody. Where would she find him at? At the crystal shop. I'm sure she's there every Sunday. Sure.
Speaker 2:Sure. He had Sapphire and all kind of shit.
Speaker 1:You don't think she when she has to go outside and like moves around certain place doesn't meet rich executives or people that work in tech.
Speaker 2:Like I'm sure somebody that owns like five airwands.
Speaker 1:Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 4:I bought that up, y'all acting like I was crazy for saying that she should be with somebody that's rich and on her level of finance.
Speaker 1:Also, her first husband, I think, is an incredible, incredible, incredible producer. At that time, I wouldn't say, one, he was famous at all. Two, I don't know if his pub had hit yet. I'm sure he's doing fine now because he's produced some of the most incredible records.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:But at that time, Jene was Jene and... she was working with him and then they fell in love. Like he wasn't, he didn't have status. Janae was not Janae. Janae was big, but Janae was not the Janae that we know now.
Speaker 2:Nah, yes she was.
Speaker 1:She was on the Ascension.
Speaker 4:Janae is bigger right now than Janae has ever been because she goes up completely, but she was not.
Speaker 1:As famous as she is now. But she was still Janae.
Speaker 2:She was lit though.
Speaker 4:She was lit for sure, but she was not as famous.
Speaker 1:She probably still felt like a regular person because that was a long time. She still does.
Speaker 2:Jhené is mad regular.
Speaker 1:I could see her dating just some guy from Sloss.
Speaker 3:Yeah, like Jhené don't look at herself in that light like she's too... Jhené probably still goes to Target.
Speaker 1:She's not a Kardashian.
Speaker 3:Yeah, like she's not... She doesn't strike me as that type of woman that would care about shit like that. I don't know her personally, but I think Jhené does mad regular shit.
Speaker 2:And I think.
Speaker 1:Sean does mad regular shit. So when it worked, it worked. Cause Sean, yes, is famous, but Sean don't go outside. Like Sean lays low. He's like her in that regard.
Speaker 3:Like, I feel like I would see Janae and Erewhon like, and she would be like, you know, like, no, go ahead.
Speaker 2:You can go.
Speaker 1:Like she has that energy. Like you have less items.
Speaker 2:You can go. She strikes me as that type of woman.
Speaker 1:And again, we don't know these people and we're not like more healthy conversation. We don't know these people. It's fun to talk about though.
Speaker 2:20 minutes.
Speaker 4:They break.
Speaker 1:Mall football is back.
Speaker 2:Yes, sir.
Speaker 1:NFL college football. Last two weeks have been some of the best college football I've seen in quite some time. Last Saturday has been a lot of fun. And you saw, I was throwing my little poly market in the chat.
Speaker 2:I saw, I saw you.
Speaker 1:I did. Hey, listen, man, bagels on me.
Speaker 3:It looked like, yeah, you got the inside scoop on something.
Speaker 2:You might have to have some conversations, man.
Speaker 1:Well, poly market is here. It is a legal prediction market now available in all 50 states. And unlike traditional sports books, On Polymarket, you can trade on all things football from the Saturday and Sunday slates to who wins the Heisman to who performs at the halftime show, mall, anything you can bet on.
Speaker 3:Also, Polymarket gives you the freedom to cash out instantly, which is important, Rory, if the momentum swings. You sell it off in real time. You are in control. No one can lock you out. And you can also buy in anytime. So when the market dips, like if a team starts slow and drops to say 40, 50%, that's not a loss. That's when you buy in. At Polymarket, you can buy cheap and ride the momentum back up. Polymarket is so confident you'll never go back to.
Speaker 2:The old way. They're issuing a challenge.
Speaker 3:They are giving you a $ 50 bonus when you deposit $ 50. Just $ 10. You sign up right now with promo code RoryMall. That's polymarket.us and use promo code RoryMall to get a $ 50 bonus when you deposit just $ 10.
Speaker 1:Speaking of messy relationships, Jezebel's Song of the Summer.
Speaker 3:Jezebel, did you get the Zell? I know I put you through hell. Jezebel.
Speaker 1:Did your record sell? We will find out. Remy Ma put out a snippet. By the time you hear this, it will be out. It's called Why Did I Get Married with Kiki Wise. We are assuming it's a papoose diss. You can't really tell by the snippet, but judging by the title and coming off Jezebel, one would assume with the artwork that this may be a response to Jezebel.
Speaker 3:Yes, this feels like... This feels like this is exactly what this is. We kind of knew it would be a matter of time. But how much more of this are we willing to entertain and sit through, though?
Speaker 2:Let's just be honest.
Speaker 3:Because this has kind of been, you know, with Remy and Pap and Clarissa and Easy to Block Captain.
Speaker 1:Now Millie's is in the mix.
Speaker 3:Yeah, this has kind of been like this. It's like, what are we doing? How much more time do we have for this to entertain this? We're obviously going to listen to what, because Jezebel is heating up the charts right now.
Speaker 1:I'm still pretty entertained. Yeah.
Speaker 3:So, I mean, after this Remy response, like, are we now looking to Pap to respond to that?
Speaker 2:Or is it like this is over after this?
Speaker 1:It depends what's on this record. I think this can go.
Speaker 2:What's the name of the song?
Speaker 1:Why Did I Get Married.
Speaker 2:Why I Get Married?
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Oh, I see Pap will come out with Why I Get Married, too.
Speaker 1:With Tyler Perry dancing.
Speaker 2:Yeah, if you think Papi ain't going to drop, you're like, yeah, why I get married?
Speaker 1:Let me tell you. Papoose wrote an entire song. You've seen Magic Society.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:You know, the young kid that Kane would soon to be stepson.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Penel's son that he's covering. Papoose wrote an entire song movie about that kid growing up. Yeah. If you don't think he's not going to do the entire Why Did I Get Married series, you have Papoose.
Speaker 2:I'm going to do you one better, Rory. Papoose got a haircut with a hat on.
Speaker 3:Any nigga that get a haircut with a hat on, you don't want to get in no battle with a nigga like that. You don't want to get in a battle with somebody that get a haircut with a hat on.
Speaker 1:Anybody that treats the apartment building railing like a balance beam, I want no smoke with. Anyone that could do gymnastics in an apartment building staircase?
Speaker 2:He know something I don't know. Yeah, he know something I don't know. I'm cool.
Speaker 1:That's some hood balance that I just do not have.
Speaker 2:Yeah, man. I don't know, man. I don't know. This is. I don't know.
Speaker 3:I mean, obviously, you know, Remy has the, she has the floor now to respond. Um, but I don't know how much more of this I can like, because it just becomes a little too much. It's like, all right, man, we don't want, we don't want it to go too far. Y'all start exposing too much about y'all private life.
Speaker 1:So, uh, I don't think Remy's going to hold back.
Speaker 2:Oh no.
Speaker 1:I think this, I think this is going to be an extremely, extremely messy record to the point that it may not be fun anymore.
Speaker 2:She got Kiki Wyatt on there. Mm hmm.
Speaker 1:Singing with pain.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but do y'all know the history of Kiki Wyatt?
Speaker 1:I know she's an incredible vocalist.
Speaker 4:Oh, no.
Speaker 2:You don't know Kiki. I don't know Kiki.
Speaker 3:You don't know Kiki. You talking about singing and shit. You don't know the history of Kiki Wyatt. You have no idea.
Speaker 1:Whose house did she burn down?
Speaker 2:This means more than what you think it means. Refresh my memory.
Speaker 1:Of course I know who Kiki Wyatt is.
Speaker 3:Let's just say Kiki Wyatt has had her share of marital issues. Let's just, let's just leave it at that. She's had, she's had some, um, she's had some marital issues.
Speaker 2:Gosh. In her life. Yes.
Speaker 1:Like she definitely like, dressed as left eye one halloween no she stabbed a nigga yeah nice okay yeah yeah yeah.
Speaker 3:Got it got it you know what i mean that's what i'm saying you don't know kiki like you don't even know like yeah beautiful voice you know she's gonna stay i'm sure she's gonna sing the house down but she might do some other things too that i just don't think you know we want to we want to have have happened so um yeah man yeah okay so.
Speaker 1:She has been indicted on it so ironically remy has assault charges as well under her belt. So this is a nice collab.
Speaker 2:Listen, man, I'm just saying this can, you know what I mean?
Speaker 3:Let's, let's, let's wait and hear what these ladies did, but it's definitely a lot of, um, interesting energy around these two women when it comes to marriage.
Speaker 2:So, yeah.
Speaker 4:And also I don't, either they coordinated this or this isn't addressing Jezebel.
Speaker 1:Because she has a whole music video shot. She didn't shoot that in two days.
Speaker 2:Oh, you don't know how videos work.
Speaker 1:This is like a whole treatment and everything. I know. They scrapped the song they shot it for and then just put the new audio over it. It's just a visual, but it's like... But Damaris, you do bring up a very good point. This looks like this was a lot of production. I don't know if this. If this happened within the last 48 hours. I hear you. But it's just too ironic, the timing. Or maybe Remy has had this and was like, all right, perfect timing. Everyone's going to rush to it thinking it's a pap diss, and it's just my single.
Speaker 3:Exactly.
Speaker 4:I mean, I'm pretty sure it is a pap diss, but not off of, like, he just getting, it's a Janae song.
Speaker 1:Yeah, not directly replying to everything he said in Jezebel. Because there's no way Remy's doing a song about why did I get married and it not be about her ex-husband. Yeah. To begin with.
Speaker 2:Come on, fam.
Speaker 1:I'll be listening. When do it drop? This Friday? If you're listening to the pod now, it's out.
Speaker 2:It's out now? Oh, yeah.
Speaker 1:Oh, it's next Friday.
Speaker 2:Oh, next Friday.
Speaker 1:Oh, then yeah. No, she's got to take time to cut the new song. Yeah.
Speaker 2:She just shot the teaser. Yeah. It's not a full video yet. Just the teaser.
Speaker 1:This was the iPhone version.
Speaker 4:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Letting y'all know what's coming. Why I Get Married.
Speaker 1:Are you guys going to watch the Why I Get Married again? I watched it. How was it? It's on my queue. It's on my list.
Speaker 4:I like when stories continue, when I like the characters. Shout out to all the young actors.
Speaker 1:Shout out to all the actors.
Speaker 2:Oh, shit.
Speaker 3:Whenever they shout out all the actors, you already know what's coming after that.
Speaker 1:You know, you guys watch it and tell me what you think. No, no, no, no, no.
Speaker 2:I'm not watching it, so you might.
Speaker 1:As well go ahead and tell me what you thought. I think that.
Speaker 4:I think that Tyler Perry could have taken more time with the movie. He said they shot it in four days. It kind of feels like that. The story didn't really there was just a lot of. The story just didn't, the story could have been better. There was a lot of room for potential there and the story could have been better, but there was just a lot of ends that weren't tied up or tied up. They weren't tied up well. There was no need for Mike to be in the movie. Honestly, I don't know why Mike survived the last one. Like why you kill, like Gina, you could have killed Mike.
Speaker 2:Mike is the movie.
Speaker 4:No, Mike isn't the movie because Mike's only role in the movies is to antagonize Sheila. We already got a secret. We got the main movie.
Speaker 2:Okay. You were the star.
Speaker 1:Is Joe Scott in it? yes okay the second movie.
Speaker 4:You antagonizing sheila and troy the third movie you antagonizing sheila intro it's just like it's like there's no there's no real story there's this he should have died in the last movie of cancer it would have been a better storyline but.
Speaker 1:That's not no usually terrible people live so that's accurate yeah like usually the terrible people be cancer and the people we want to stay don't it just it wasn't like it wasn't um But shout out to them. The actors did a good job. Hear me out. Maybe Sheila.
Speaker 2:Is Janet in it?
Speaker 1:Deserves a little. No, Janet isn't.
Speaker 4:Tyler came out and said there really would have been no room for Janet there because her husband died in the last movie.
Speaker 1:She not. Remember, she can't be remarried. She did. She met The Rock at the end of the movie. Yeah, but you ain't getting The Rock. You coming to Tyler. Like you getting The Rock for a full time Tyler Perry.
Speaker 2:Tyler can afford it.
Speaker 1:I was really good.
Speaker 4:I guess what Tyler Perry came out and said is that Janet was unavailable because of this before we found out it was filmed in four days.
Speaker 1:It's a tight window.
Speaker 4:It was unavailable because she had a Vegas residency. And on top of that, the last movie was shot.
Speaker 1:It's shot. If you guys remember when Michael died, Michael died when she was filming.
Speaker 2:Why?
Speaker 4:In the middle of Washington, when she was true. Why did I get married to? And I guess she didn't want to revisit that place. That is what the that is what Tyler told us.
Speaker 2:Did y'all see Tyler Perry on the Jennifer Hudson show?
Speaker 1:I mean, I saw him dance. I saw him walking down the thing.
Speaker 4:I still don't know what song he actually walked down to because every time I click the video of him walking down the.
Speaker 2:There's no song.
Speaker 1:It's Jezebel. It's Jezebel every time I click the video.
Speaker 2:It's just the staff singing.
Speaker 4:Well, yeah, but I never hear the staff singing because every time I click it, it's Jezebel. Which worked out so well.
Speaker 3:Tyler thought he had- He had a dress on. You saw he tried to pull his pants up? He was ready to pull them pants up and start throwing that ass. Look right here.
Speaker 4:Bow.
Speaker 2:No, no, no. Here you go.
Speaker 1:Right there.
Speaker 2:What is that?
Speaker 1:I think he used to be a Madea.
Speaker 2:Is that what you think?
Speaker 1:He's a method actor.
Speaker 2:Yo, I hate when Baby D do shit like that.
Speaker 1:I think he used to be a Madea.
Speaker 2:That's not what you think, Baby D.
Speaker 1:Because that's what Madea do. She pull like the purple dress up.
Speaker 2:Who else do that?
Speaker 1:He's dedicated to the craft.
Speaker 2:Who else do that though? I don't know. Madea does it. Okay.
Speaker 1:Now I kind of don't want to see it. Nelly, you said that they shot it in four days.
Speaker 2:Why would you?
Speaker 1:Because Why Did I Get Married is iconic. Why Did I Get Married 2 is great. Why would you take a series that people love and shoot the third one in four days?
Speaker 4:I think they would have been better off, and he has a good relationship with Netflix, so I know Tyler Perry can do whatever the fuck he wants to do.
Speaker 1:It should have been a series.
Speaker 4:It should have been what they did, what Peacock did with The Best Man.
Speaker 1:I was about to ask you. Final chapters. How they continued Best Man or how they continued this, but clearly that's the answer. It should have been done like that.
Speaker 4:It would have given more room because the movie is mainly about their children, which is another reason why there's no reason for Janet to be there because Janet's son died.
Speaker 1:It's about their children.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:So Sheila and Troy had children. Sheila and Troy had a son, but he has like maybe two lines.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 4:It's mainly about Mike and Mike and whatchamacallit Tasha Smith's and Taraji's kids.
Speaker 1:It's mainly about their kids.
Speaker 2:Okay. Okay.
Speaker 1:So then Mike has a big role then. I mean, not Mike.
Speaker 2:I'm sorry.
Speaker 1:Marcus.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:Yeah. Mike doesn't have any kids.
Speaker 3:Remember?
Speaker 1:I wasn't sure if they had kids. No. I still think I was always on Sheila's side for the first one and a half.
Speaker 2:Of the movies.
Speaker 1:But then when you go disrespect your husband, Troy, who left Colorado. So you'd go back to help Mike with cancer treatment. Like that was, troy should have left her well she didn't she didn't go back to help that's not why they moved to she went behind her husband's back went behind his back but she that's not why to go to some dirt bag that treated her like shit to help with his cancer treatment and behind her husband's back no she she deserves some torment that's all.
Speaker 4:I'm saying she should she shouldn't have did that no doing the doing the fucking the bird going asking that nigga to get him a job like we ain't learn from that and soulful that is cause I rewatched why did I get married to it's a good movie I was rewatching that shit and when I seen like I didn't really realize how abusive um Gina's.
Speaker 1:Husband was He was hurt.
Speaker 2:He lost a kid, right? Lost a baby?
Speaker 1:They lost a baby way before that.
Speaker 4:When she wanted to divorce him and he tried to take half her book money and they started fighting about that and divorce and he pinned her down on the couch and poured vodka all over her face.
Speaker 1:Oh, he was super drunk. And then burned the baby's pictures.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I was fucked up.
Speaker 4:He had to die that night. don't pin me down bro like some type of fucking sexual predator.
Speaker 1:Don't pin me down he was wild he was definitely.
Speaker 4:That was mad abusive so i i used to feel bad that he died but then like now once i seen that scene again as a little bit more growner of a woman i was like oh no he deserved to.
Speaker 1:Die and then the next day is when she starts smashing everything right.
Speaker 4:A couple days later he had to come in and sneak his stuff out the house yeah and he he cleared her she found out he cleared a bank account yeah.
Speaker 1:He did good.
Speaker 4:Like those movies, the one with Taraji when Taraji, he cheats on Taraji and Taraji gets into a car accident, loses her ability to have a child and a nigga move on with a new bitch and Taraji go crazy and like stalked him and killed him.
Speaker 1:That one's good. The one with Brandy, Brandy gets AIDS. I forgot about that movie.
Speaker 4:Yeah.
Speaker 1:What's the name of that shit again? Confessions of a Marriage Counselor or something like that. Because everyone refers to it as the Brandy gets AIDS movie. Yeah.
Speaker 2:That one was good.
Speaker 4:Like Tyler his he has a lot of good movies I just I wish this one.
Speaker 2:Was a little bit better but got a lot of good and terrible movies too.
Speaker 1:He plays the volume he plays the volume game it's a lot of it's a lot of output Tyler.
Speaker 2:Perry's a legend in every sense of the word but legends legends.
Speaker 1:Fuck up too he has like maybe three movies that are like three and a half you just named like I know why did I get married I like the Brandy AIDS movie you said why did I get married why did I get married too Brandy AIDS movie and then the fourth one yeah Yeah, there's like four movies.
Speaker 2:Sure, there's more.
Speaker 1:I don't like any of them.
Speaker 2:Not one of them.
Speaker 1:The plays were always better than the movies to me. I grew up on the plays. I liked Tyler Perry as an actor in Gone Girl. I thought he smoked that role. Didn't picture him when I read the book before the movie, but he smoked it. I think he's a good actor when he's not doing those roles.
Speaker 4:I think he's a good actor when he do a Madea. I can understand you not liking the movies, but I think the acting as Madea is great, actually.
Speaker 2:Oh, he's a good actor.
Speaker 1:And started the wave of all these niggas dressing up like women.
Speaker 2:No. On the internet.
Speaker 1:I didn't say he was the first person to do it. Do not misunderstand me.
Speaker 2:You said he started the wave.
Speaker 4:Starting the wave and being the first person to do something is completely different.
Speaker 1:He didn't start the wave. He wasn't the first one, didn't start the wave, didn't... I think he started the wave.
Speaker 4:Janae wasn't the first person to whisper on a song, but I think she started the wave of everybody that came after her that started doing that.
Speaker 1:But I don't, she wasn't the first person to do it. Big Mama's house was well before that. You misunderstood. Eddie Murphy has done that. You're misunderstanding me and that's okay.
Speaker 4:I'm talking about starting the wave, not starting it, not being the first person, but as far as the, when I'm talking about the sketches that people do on the internet, I think a lot of that was them was inspired by Medea because he didn't do it once. He didn't do it twice. He made that his entire spiel. So who does that on the internet?
Speaker 1:Mad people do that. Mad men dress up as women as comedy.
Speaker 4:Mad of these early IG wave, the IG TikTok wave of like the little the comedian, the boys dressing up as girls and making fun of them and putting wigs on and shit.
Speaker 1:Like, I think that a lot of that came from Madea. What was like the guy spoken to reason? Was that is that guy? I don't know. Who was the other guy? He was really funny. Ended up on Wild N Out.
Speaker 2:I know.
Speaker 1:I know who you're talking about. I don't know their names. Yeah. Like there was that whole era of. instagram twitter comedians they definitely did a lot of dressing up yeah almost to the point that it was getting a little too said like is this even a joke anymore yeah it's not being funny like you're not even making funny material you're just you just want to dress up like a woman.
Speaker 4:That's why everybody praises druski because druski doesn't just dress up like a woman he dresses up as everyone yeah yeah but yeah a lot of them just dressed up as women and like did a whole bunch of like anti-black stereotypes and shit like that and i think that they got that from medea This is my fame. Oh, all right.
Speaker 1:I see that tie together.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:I see what you're saying then. I thought you were just saying that like, no, I was the first one to kind of throw a wig on and be a big black woman.
Speaker 4:No, but being that, being that stereotype that he did for so long, I think that a lot of these younger RG comedians, like they were inspired.
Speaker 2:By that, but yeah.
Speaker 1:Moving on. Before we get out of here, I did want to quickly touch on the Kid Cudi and Ebro thing that happened like right before we hit record. So I don't know if you guys saw that Cudi had, um, Tweeted out towards Ebro. Ebro was on his show with Peter and Laura and was talking about him running into Cudi out. Wasn't planning or anything, but they ended up sitting next to each other at dinner. And Ebro had brought, you know, brought up the obvious of like what's going on with. you performing with Kanye and got into some private conversation of, of Cuddy saying, it's still tough to go out there with them and the optics and this and that, which Cuddy thought was a private conversation between the two of them at a dinner. Um, and he didn't know he was going to go on a podcast. So, Cuddy tweeted out right before we hit record. Ebro, you were sitting next to me at dinner, not planned, and we're having a private conversation. I was being friendly because you were sitting next to me, not an interview. You are thirsty. I think you were speaking about conversations publicly.
Speaker 1:It's classless, and I do not respect you any longer. I spoke to you thinking you really just wanted to talk. You just wanted a story. I learned a valuable lesson. Never talk to a journalist unless it's for an actual interview. Good thing Zane has a million times more class than you. None of what we talked about at Apple Park is a news clip. I'll just talk to him. P.S. I'd really appreciate if you don't discuss me ever again. Thank you.
Speaker 2:I respect that. I feel good. I respect that.
Speaker 3:I mean, you know, that's something that unfortunately I battle with because. a lot of people that I know and have relationships with before I started podcasting, I see how our relationships have changed after.
Speaker 2:I started podcasting.
Speaker 3:And it's fucked up because I'm like, you think that I would take anything we.
Speaker 2:Speak about to.
Speaker 3:My platform, but I understand the apprehension there because it's kind of like, On one hand, they don't want to tell me that. Like, yo, bro, don't repeat none of this. Because they know I'll probably take offense to that. Like, you think I would repeat anything we talk about in private? I've been offended a few times. But at the same time, I understand why somebody would say that. Because it happens. Like, you have personal private conversations with people. And they think that it's literally... It goes without saying that I don't want you to repeat any of this on your platform.
Speaker 2:And then you literally go back and.
Speaker 3:Repeated on your platform so i understand you know cuddy like i spoke to you because we were sitting next to each other and i thought that we were just getting it because here we are sitting next to each other as men let's just kick it i didn't think that i was speaking into a microphone and that you know i was speaking into a recorder and everything that i'm saying is going to be repeated and on a platform in a couple of days. Like I didn't, I didn't think that. So I understand, I understand where Cuddy's coming from. Um, Ebro is a vet and I think he should know better than that.
Speaker 1:Yeah, he's not known for this type of behavior.
Speaker 2:He's not. No, Ebro's not known for this. This is not something that I think he's... He's.
Speaker 1:Had thousands of private conversations that would be headline news tomorrow if he decided to speak about them.
Speaker 4:One of the reasons why I want to play devil's advocate, even though I believe that Ebro was wrong and Ebro believes he's wrong because he.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 4:Cudi just tweeted that Ebro apologized and he accepted it. So we all know Ebro was wrong, but... Devil's Advocate, do we think that Ebro was trying to.
Speaker 1:Defend his, defend Cudi?
Speaker 4:Because the conversation, it sounded like he was talking, he was talking to Peter and Peter and Cudi had gotten into it on the internet. And it sounded like Ebro was giving reasons that Cudi had told him for why he might be more accepting of Kanye.
Speaker 3:I don't think Ebro's intent was malicious. Yeah, I don't think his intent was malicious. I don't think his intent was malicious. I just think that, you know, cuddy is is somewhat of a private person he doesn't do a lot of interviews um for whatever reason but i feel like you know ebro what he was saying he shouldn't have repeated some of the things obviously because it was it was said to him in private um but i don't think it was malicious i don't think he was trying to Like he didn't do it with the intent of exposing anything that Cuddy said. I think it was a conversation and based on a conversation he had in private with Cuddy, it was some things that he could add to that conversation that would shed a different light on Cuddy.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I agree.
Speaker 3:But again, Cudi being private and then Cudi knowing how things work, you say what I said on your platform, it gets clipped. Now it's going everywhere and people think that I'm using you as your air to basically air out my grievances or how I feel. It could just turn into something that Cudi didn't mean for it to turn into.
Speaker 1:You look shady, too, in that regard.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Said you're cool with Kanye now. You went back at Peter saying, this is our family shit. Now it looks like you being like, nah, that shit is hard, man. I don't even like, I don't even fuck with Kanye.
Speaker 3:Yeah, yeah so it could turn into something else and I think that that's what Cudi is kind of like you know speaking to but they've obviously spoken uh privately Ibro apologized Cudi accepted the apology and All good.
Speaker 2:And I think that's it.
Speaker 3:You know, I think this is just Ebro just kind of just, you know, he just fumbled the ball a little bit, but obviously he apologized.
Speaker 1:So how do y'all go about knowing the limits about what you can't?
Speaker 3:I don't repeat nothing that I speak to about anybody, any public, any public figure privately. There's a lot of things that I don't speak about.
Speaker 4:There's a lot of things that you don't speak about, but there are some things, private conversations that you had that have made this podcast.
Speaker 1:They were okay with it, obviously. Nobody got mad at you. Oh, no, no, no. But you had private conversations that happened.
Speaker 2:But that would be because I knew that that was okay to repeat that.
Speaker 1:So that's what I'm asking you.
Speaker 2:How do you know what it is? Oh, no, no. You know. You know.
Speaker 1:I agree.
Speaker 3:You know the things to like, you know, even like, and I feel some type of way about this. Even one time we were somewhere and somebody was like, I'm not going to repeat his name. I'm not going to say his name. But we were having a conversation. And he was talking about another rapper. And he said something about the rapper. And then he turned and looked at me and was like, yo, don't repeat that.
Speaker 1:It's happened to me on multiple occasions.
Speaker 2:And I felt the way about that. Because I was like.
Speaker 3:You think that I would repeat what you just said?
Speaker 2:But I understand why he... Because that would have turned into something crazy. You know what I mean?
Speaker 3:So I understand that. But I did feel a way about that.
Speaker 2:I was like.
Speaker 1:I used to get offended by that. I've had it even worse where not just don't repeat it. I've been in studio sessions where people have been like, let me chill. There's a podcaster in here. I'm like, I'm not. But I understand it. I've learned before it used to trigger.
Speaker 2:I totally understand it.
Speaker 3:You really think that I'm like some gossip? I totally understand it. I understand it. But I get it. I used to feel a way. I used to be like, yo, that's crazy that you even think I'm that type of person. But now I just kind of like it comes with the territory. It comes with the position. Like I get it.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 4:And that's honestly just in real life, too. Even before I podcasted, just regular shit with people. I've realized like you tell somebody a secret and you think that that would be something that they naturally wouldn't repeat.
Speaker 1:And then they'll be they'll repeat it like, oh, I didn't know that that was a.
Speaker 4:So now, no matter what, like off the record or don't tell me I said this between me and you is my favorite between.
Speaker 1:Me and you. Between me and you. Do not repeat this. You can get offended. To the Cuddy Ebro situation, less with the personal ones that you're saying. I'll maybe hit them on a month. If we had a conversation at a dinner on Friday, I'll hit them maybe Monday morning like, I know we spoke about this. You cool if I say this part, this part? I'll triple check that stuff to make sure it's okay. I'm sure a lot of listeners, especially these days with how they've been treating fucking like Rob Markman and Charlemagne and everyone. Like, holding shit down is not compromised journalism. If you have a private conversation with Kid Cudi at a dinner about something that is a hot topic, you're not a compromised journalist because you hold that down and don't run to the microphone that doesn't make you compromised. Because I could see people flipping that like, well, he rose a journalist. He's doing his job.
Speaker 1:If he would have kept it, then he's compromised. No, he's not. That's a private conversation. The shit that y'all... Tease me with the Nas thing. Of course, there was private conversations at the Nas thing that would never bring up on a fucking microphone. You just know certain things you just don't say that doesn't make you compromised. You just have somewhat of a relationship with that person, which if you're a great journalist, you can use to the public's benefit because they'll come to you with trustworthy information because they know you're not going to do some weird shit.
Speaker 1:And when it's time to actually talk about certain things. They'll talk to you. Yeah.
Speaker 2:So, yeah.
Speaker 4:A lot of this compromised journalism shit that we being used in hip hop, like those terms, they don't even really apply to hip hop. They apply to compromised journalism is applying to stuff that affects the American people when it's time for them to vote. If you know that somebody is lobbying against something and they pretending that they're for that cause, that's compromised journalism because people's lives are affected by this. Us, we did not need to know this information about Cudi. It did not affect any of our lives. That's not compromised fucking journalism.
Speaker 1:You didn't know that Jay-Z and Roc Nation is a political donor to Rob Markman? Like, it'd be dumb shit. If a person.
Speaker 4:Compromised journalism, if you're a reporter, is if you know that so-and-so was touching on somebody and you held that down, you ain't telling nobody.
Speaker 1:Now you're just a compromised fucking weirdo. Now you're a compromised person.
Speaker 4:But that's compromised journalism if you claim to be a hip-hop journalist.
Speaker 2:Like.
Speaker 4:and also he may be a hip-hop journalist but his podcast does not it's not all journalism it's a lot of like gossip fun opinions that's an opinion this is his opinion he's not required to speak on anything none of us are and and again i want.
Speaker 1:To reiterate i'm with you guys i don't think there was any ill intent with ebro i think ebro has had thousands of crazier conversations that would break the internet over just a kanye west kid cuddy thing but i appreciated cuddy saying lesson learned yeah now i know how to move Now I know how to talk, but.
Speaker 2:You know. It happens, man. Sometimes you just slip up and say things that you shouldn't have said on a public platform.
Speaker 1:Yeah, he probably thought that wasn't really that big of a deal.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but I don't take Ebro to be that type of guy, though.
Speaker 1:No, I don't think so.
Speaker 2:I don't think that I can remember Ebro ever doing something like that. No. Or being called out for it. But, again, he apologized, so it is what it is.
Speaker 1:I also think Cuddy's probably a little– sensitive to the reaction to a lot of that yes cuddy definitely stood on not fucking with kanye again multiple times publicly privately then was seen on stage and he we rarely see cuddy tweet like that anymore and he's been tweeting up a storm about all clearly this is a very touchy subject for his personal life so that's probably where ebro caught an attack that's attached to so much more than just having a conversation with him at dinner Yeah. So, yeah, I feel for him. But, all right, this was fun.
Speaker 1:Any weekend plans for everyone?
Speaker 2:Man, I don't know, man. Where should we go? We should do something, man. And see where the wind blows us.
Speaker 1:I'm down.
Speaker 3:San Gennaro is now, right? That's why I was late today. I thought it started tomorrow. It started today.
Speaker 2:It's late. We outside? Ferris wheel. Fried Oreos? Ferris wheel. Ferris wheel?
Speaker 1:Our guy, Joey Merlino, has his cheesesteak stand up. Oh, yeah?
Speaker 2:I stopped by.
Speaker 1:When I realized it was going on, I stopped by before I came here.
Speaker 2:Is he in town?
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's on Kenmore and Mulberry. Really, really good cheesesteak. Shout out to Joey and Snuff. Skinny Joey's cheesesteaks is really, really good.
Speaker 2:But, yeah.
Speaker 1:All right.
Speaker 2:Well, it's been great seeing you beautiful people. Another week in the can.
Speaker 4:Yes.
Speaker 3:Let's do the things that we can. Stay away from things that we shouldn't be doing. And until this time again next week, be safe.
Speaker 1:Be blessed.
Speaker 2:I'm that nigga. He said, Ginger, oh, but we are headed to Patreon.
