Speaker 2:The God is back. Nothing can steer me wrong today. The God is back.

Speaker 1:Oh, the world is healing, baby D.

Speaker 3:Who are we sponsored by?

Speaker 1:We are sponsored by Boost Mobile. We are sponsored by Snow Allegra. And Snow Allegra.

Speaker 2:This is a snow podcast. This is a snow stand podcast.

Speaker 1:Oh, man, it's snowing. She is back. She's back. Winter's coming. The snow is on the way. Winter's coming.

Speaker 2:Oh, God.

Speaker 1:I'm so happy.

Speaker 3:I am, too.

Speaker 1:I'm, like, genuinely, like, really happy right now. Me, too, man. She's my Jay Electronica.

Speaker 3:Snow?

Speaker 1:Yeah. Snow, like, I love Snow, man. What? Snow.

Speaker 3:The connection?

Speaker 1:Everyone accuses Jay of not, like, putting out enough music. Oh, okay. The legend of Jay. To me, it's the legend of Snow. Like, nobody accuses Jay of not putting out music. Jay just doesn't put out music. Nobody accuses him of not putting out music. That's a critique that he has. Yes. And I mean, Snow, when was it? What, 2021? 2020?

Speaker 3:2021.

Speaker 1:That was the last album?

Speaker 3:Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies. Yeah.

Speaker 1:Oh, Snow, if you're listening, I know you're not.

Speaker 3:But just in case.

Speaker 1:But just in case. Yeah. If this clip gets to you, we thank you so much for this. This feels like Snow is one of those artists that just, you know, the fall time.

Speaker 4:Yeah.

Speaker 1:It feels right. It feels like we're supposed to have That energy, that tone, that texture of a voice. It just feels like fall is here. It has arrived whenever we can hear some new Snow Leggo music. Five years. I'm fine with that. I'm not one of those fans. I'm fine. If she needed five years. No, let her cook. I need five years. What happened in five years? Because I know you have a lot to say. We don't know what Snow has been doing. That's what I love about Snow. We don't know who she's dating. Of course not.

Speaker 1:We don't know what she's going through. But one thing's for sure, we gonna hear about it when this project drops. She gonna let us know everything. Go live, Snow. Go live. Run free? Five years. Go run free for five years. That's the name of the single.

Speaker 3:But y'all don't see her in the car with the driver being driven.

Speaker 1:To the homie house. I know that vibe. Just left? You in the back of that Uber? You trying to contemplate?

Speaker 3:Yeah, I'm about to start.

Speaker 1:When they be in the back of that, Baby D as a woman, can you talk to us about that Uber ride?

Speaker 3:No, I can't.

Speaker 1:As a woman though, because we don't know which I'll be, you know what I'm saying? So as a woman, you know that Uber ride I'm talking about, Baby D. Like, what be your like.

Speaker 3:Mind you, it's like the third driver that's been called because the first two we had to cancel. I was supposed to go home two days ago.

Speaker 1:Two days? You're supposed to have been gone. You done washed your pings out in the sink. Hung them out in the shower. Called out of work. She's wearing his sweats. You just can't see. What is that Uber ride like, though? What is that when you just like... I said I wasn't going to do this. I said I wasn't going to fall in love. I said I wasn't going to like him. I didn't talk so much shit to my girls about him. And here I am back at Uber on a crisp fall morning. Yeah.

Speaker 2:Finally replying to 20 text messages you ignored for two days.

Speaker 3:Phone me on D & D.

Speaker 1:Turned your location off so your girls don't see where you at because they know where he lives. She does that to me, you know. You know she does that to me, right? Baby, you thought I didn't know about that move? You thought I didn't know about the turn the low off? Y'all like turning that low off when y'all somewhere y'all ain't supposed to be.

Speaker 2:Y'all turn that low off quick. She does that to me. I'm the friend that wouldn't care. Yeah.

Speaker 1:But even when we.

Speaker 2:Went out to Joyce's thing, I was just about to check to see where Damaris was at just so I could time it correctly, whatever, all get there at the same time.

Speaker 1:Location off? Yeah.

Speaker 3:Where am I at? I turn mine off sometimes.

Speaker 1:Why are you being weird to me?

Speaker 3:I turn mine off just so that they don't notice it. Cause like, see if I'm, if they always got the location and I turn it off, they're like, Oh, she with a nigga. But if just randomly I turn it off, I just be like, nah, I've been at home. I ain't even want to talk to nobody. They don't know. You got to keep them guessing.

Speaker 1:Turn your location off when you're at home. Cut this shit.

Speaker 3:My location is off right now and I'm at work.

Speaker 1:Oh yeah.

Speaker 3:Like I turn my, I just turn my location off every once in a while so that when I do do it, it's not weird.

Speaker 1:Oh, you one of those. You set your lie up a month in advance. I set my lies up years in advance. Oh, you one of those type of women. You want to run free. I despise those type of women that set the lie up. Despise is crazy. Set a fall lie up in summertime. You bad because you do it. That's why you don't like it because you do it. Yeah, you can't do me to me. Don't do me to me. Nah. Don't do me to me. Don't do that.

Speaker 3:Tiff attack.

Speaker 1:Mall been in Virginia every weekend for three years.

Speaker 3:Child, I ain't.

Speaker 1:Going to lie. Is he wearing a.

Speaker 3:Wire?

Speaker 1:Let me see. Open up that collar, man. He got a wire on. Yo, P, throw some water on this guy. See if he starts boogieing. Let's see if he starts boogieing over here.

Speaker 3:Yeah, man. Snow makes that music that you fall in love to or you fall out of love.

Speaker 1:Fall in the wrong love. Snow Allegra. But don't mind it.

Speaker 3:Last time she released an album, I ended up in a COVID relationship. That was like the theme. I used to be cooking during COVID to the album.

Speaker 1:I don't know if we can look this up, Ryan, but can we see what the stock was like on the Plan B pills during COVID? Yeah. I just want to see something. Interesting question. I just want to see something.

Speaker 2:Well, there was a lot of COVID babies, so yeah, I'm sure that it balanced itself out.

Speaker 1:A lot of COVID babies.

Speaker 3:How'd y'all make it out of COVID without a baby? You wouldn't have one after.

Speaker 1:Yeah. Make it out of COVID.

Speaker 3:I mean, Maul and I never stopped working. Oh yeah, that's probably why.

Speaker 1:The whole world shut down, me and Maul. We was our raw dog in the world. They didn't stop us. A little vaccine, that didn't stop us. It wouldn't stop us at all. But I would like to know the stock market, how they did on Plan B's.

Speaker 3:While he's looking that up, who else are y'all looking forward to in the fall? Who do y'all think makes that fall music? What is last quarter, period?

Speaker 1:I could do a Good Party Next Door album.

Speaker 2:Anyone really from Toronto. I wouldn't mind a Weekend album. Anyone in the North typically makes really good fall music.

Speaker 1:Yeah, it's that time of year they... They come alive when it starts getting frosty outside.

Speaker 2:Yeah, but P & D, when was the last time we got like just a solo party? Not some sexy songs for you? It's been a little minute, I feel like.

Speaker 1:Yeah, it's been like three or four years maybe, right? And a lot of- Two years, 2024 party next P & D 4. People may disagree with me on this.

Speaker 2:I didn't feel like a lot of the songs on Sexy Songs For You were like party records that Drake just hopped on. Those felt like they were new for that project or Drake had already had them. I actually felt like it was the opposite. Party hopped on a lot of Drake records.

Speaker 1:I felt like that.

Speaker 2:So Party can't have the excuse like, nah, I mean, that was my album. But we ended up making it a collab.

Speaker 1:Yeah. Nah, Party owes us. Yeah, man. I would like a new Party album this fall. It was a little P & D. Yeah. I mean, but if Snow, I don't know, man. Snow may clean up the rest of the year. I may not need another album. Yeah, man. Oh, man. I'm just... Everything feels right. Snow is like just a good cup of hot chocolate. The right amount of marshmallow. Because you can't over-marshmallow the situation. No. The right amount of marshmallows. You don't want too many marshmallows in the way of when you sit. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And if you let it sit too long with all the marshmallows.

Speaker 1:Just the right amount. Yeah. The right amount of marshmallows, man. A little cinnamon on top of that thing.

Speaker 3:I make a fire hot chocolate. You got to put real chocolate in it. Heavy cream. Make it on the stove.

Speaker 1:When you go heavy cream, baby D, hot heavy cream, somebody going to the bathroom. What you do?

Speaker 3:Eat hot chocolate with water?

Speaker 1:No, milk. You boil the milk, though. Not heavy cream.

Speaker 3:Half milk, half heavy cream.

Speaker 1:That's too much. That's a lot of dairy. Yeah. And it's hot. It's going down hot. And real chocolate is adding even more dairy. Baby D trying to just be in the bathroom so she can be on the phone.

Speaker 3:It's warm and chocolatey.

Speaker 1:Warm and chocolatey, huh, Baby D? I know that's right.

Speaker 3:Go ahead, Baby D.

Speaker 1:We might be sponsored by you after this. You need to relax. Warm and chocolatey.

Speaker 4:You need to everybody's in such a good mood today snow allegra just released a visualizer for her fucking single yes our north star is back oh man snow might be she might be like the groundhog.

Speaker 1:She might be the most beautiful groundhog to toxic situations yes are on the horizon oh god we need it we need to hear it snow.

Speaker 2:A legendary love do we think snow has been in love do we think we're gonna get that type album Because the single title and the album title definitely contradict themselves.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:But then again, legendary could mean bad. There's been some legendary horrible shit before.

Speaker 1:Oh, yeah, for sure. There's legendary breakups. There's legendary, you know. Murders. Murders, crazy. Legendary murders. There's been legendary murders. There has been legendary. I mean, Netflix can't wait to put out the movie. Like, there's definitely.

Speaker 2:it's definitely oh shorty that they just tried to kill twice yeah there's a seven-parter.

Speaker 1:Coming out next week he's done somebody.

Speaker 3:Said ryan murphy on the phone with sarah paulson right.

Speaker 1:Now they already got the clip with the cut it's gonna be her half alive already wrapped the production it's over that movie's done they said she's she's walking again yeah no she's good they've been sending updates like she's a make-a-wish kid like she took her second step today i'm like She was on death row. The fact that this woman was on death row and then they went to life-saving measures. What world do we live in, bro? I brought this up. When did we talk about this?

Speaker 1:Two weeks ago?

Speaker 2:I still have yet to get the EpiPen for my daughter.

Speaker 1:But this bitch has premium health care. I just don't get it. Like if you're sentencing somebody to death. and whatever your however the death which was this was lethal injection seems to not work why would you then perform life-saving why not just let her.

Speaker 3:Die well because i'm as you guys there's mad laws involved in all of that shit like there's mad laws with you like they had to take her to the hospital because obviously she wasn't dying so then she's probably sitting there suffering they don't know what's going on oh Yeah. But that's not the law. You can't sit up there and torture somebody when they were.

Speaker 1:She did.

Speaker 3:They were. They were entitled by the law to a quick death and they did not get that. They're honestly they might want to let her out before they got a lawsuit on their hands.

Speaker 1:That's just paperwork. That's just.

Speaker 3:They have a lot. She has a crazy lawsuit. Like they might want to let her out before she filed that. Well, it says incomplete protocol.

Speaker 1:The state's execution protocol allowed for a second dose if the first failed, but it did not account for a situation where both doses failed to end.

Speaker 3:The inmates yeah they gave her two doses and both were wrongly injected.

Speaker 1:Well glad she's taking her first steps back to death row well listen hopefully she makes a full recovery so they can get this show on the road again now i want him to let her out let her out that's the last thing that's about to happen that.

Speaker 2:Ass that comeback's gonna be legendary her comeback.

Speaker 1:She fulfilled her sentence. It's funny, but it might be something in the law that states they might have to let her go.

Speaker 3:Yeah.

Speaker 1:What do you think would be viewed more like rematch of Mayweather and Pacquiao or rematch with her and lethal injection? Oh, man. They put this on Zeus. This one. Krista Pike's second dose. Krista Pike's second round. Round two. Hosted by Jake Paul. Krista Pike, round two available now on Zeus Network.

Speaker 3:Y'all know Just Fee Rose, new husband, dad?

Speaker 1:I saw that. What's going on? Like, what's up with Gypsy?

Speaker 3:Yo.

Speaker 1:First of all, who keeps dating her? You're dating somebody if they got like, I just don't, I don't know, man. Again, we living in the simulation. All of this is a simulation. Listen, man.

Speaker 2:All I'm saying is Gypsy has been the common denominator in a lot of shit. That's all I'm saying. I'm not saying anything else besides that.

Speaker 1:I'm not putting no murders on her. Just saying. I'm just saying she's been around for a lot of things. She's been in the room when things happen. She's been associated with too many things happening. And I just think that we should take that information and do something with it.

Speaker 2:It just appears like everyone that is close to her has an untimely death.

Speaker 1:Just for some reason. Just their time.

Speaker 3:Well i mean to be fair to be fair you see gypsy come and run stop i feel bad it says they found no evidence of foul play so.

Speaker 1:Of course not gypsy's a vet you know what she's doing i.

Speaker 3:Think her husband really did just die i think her husband really did just die but that's terrible oh for sure i.

Speaker 1:Don't know he really did just die baby d yeah we just want to know how.

Speaker 3:He died No, I mean like, you know, I think he was doing drugs. I think it was like a drug overdose.

Speaker 1:Drug overdose.

Speaker 3:They found like drug paraphernalia in there.

Speaker 1:Brown powdery substance. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 4:Spoon. Yeah.

Speaker 1:Ryan Murphy. A holstered handgun. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

Speaker 3:Yeah.

Speaker 1:And two shot glasses were on the nightstand next to the bed. I've seen this movie. Y'all seen this movie before? Yeah. Two sets of footprints in the sand. Y'all know when the investigator come in the room, he look right at the nightstand and put the whole play together. There was somebody else here. No shit. It's too fucking shot glass. And you know what?

Speaker 2:I always make sure to holster my pistol before I snort heroin.

Speaker 1:Yeah, come on, man.

Speaker 3:Well, maybe it was already holstered. You just take the whole holster off your hand. Walk into the table to do heroin and having a pistol.

Speaker 1:Just in case. Yeah, just in case. unsnapped just in case things go left hey man well i mean i don't know man gypsy rose might just be you know just unlucky to have this is husband number two that died.

Speaker 2:I guess yeah because i think plus the mom yeah well no and then her her other boyfriend he's doing life right or he killed himself in jail too no one of them is alive well one of them's doing life he made it for the murder of the mom that she got off on but her boyfriend was the one that went in there with a knife and.

Speaker 3:But wasn't her mom doing horrible shit to her?

Speaker 1:Oh, no. Her mother was not a good person whatsoever. No.

Speaker 2:But she definitely manipulated her mentally ill boyfriend to go kill her mother. But no, her mom was a scammer. That's what I'm saying. Gypsy had it rough, but she definitely learned some shit from her mom. Her mother was a crazy scammer. Gypsy could walk. She's walking right now. She was in a wheelchair for 15 years just so they could get beneficial checks from the government.

Speaker 3:No, I think her mom was, she had like Munchausen's by proxy.

Speaker 2:She was like, she shaved her head to make it look like she had cancer. She didn't lose her hair. Her mother shaved her head and put the chemo cap on her. And did telethons. Like, no, her mother was sick.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 3:But God bless. God bless all these people that's dying, man. My mother, her Aunt Peggy died. Like, it's a lot going on right now.

Speaker 1:Aunt Peggy? Rest in peace, Aunt Peggy. How old was Aunt Peggy? I don't know. Too soon.

Speaker 3:Too soon. People be like in their 80s, 90s.

Speaker 1:Too soon. Too soon. Too soon. Rest in peace, Aunt Peggy. Also, while we're here, rest in peace to the legendary, iconic R & B legend, Harlem legend, Mr. Freddie Jackson. Yep. Mr. Freddie Jackson passed away earlier this week. Yeah, man. It's another R & B icon, Rory, that unfortunately had to leave us. But great music. Yeah. Great contribution to R & B. One of the greatest voices in R & B history. Prayers and condolences to the Jackson family. And yeah, man.

Speaker 3:Yeah.

Speaker 1:Mr. Freddie Jackson.

Speaker 2:Rest in peace for sure. Did you go out with Ryan to Coney Island to go try to buy some MTA signs? Do a little local news first.

Speaker 1:No, Ryan FaceTimed me at like nine this morning. And I was half asleep. I was like, oh shit, where's Ryan went? And I was like, oh, he's probably at the spot. Yeah. And he FaceTimed me and looking at pieces. He's like, yo, everything is pretty much gone or the line was crazy. Yeah.

Speaker 2:For those that don't know, in Junkyard in Coney Island, they're getting rid of like old subway MTA signs. I think they were even selling a bus. They had subway seats. They had the MTA machines, like all cool collectible shit. But Ryan was saying, if the MTA is not scamming us enough, congestion pricing is supposed to go. Now you're flipping old shit for two grand, five grand.

Speaker 1:I get it, though. It's part of the city. It's part of the history of the fabric. It's the fiber. It's the fiber of the city. So we can all take a little piece of the fiber home. I would know. I would love to. I think that's great.

Speaker 2:I'm not paying five grand for something I could take with a wrench right now off the fucking platform.

Speaker 1:Yeah, I feel you. That's a little, that's a little crazy. That's insane. And what is the money going to? Like, do they have like charity? Same place the congestion pricing shit is. Oh.

Speaker 2:Well, I took the train from Hell's Kitchen to here, to Brooklyn, back to here this morning. And every train I was on was delayed. The A, the D- The four, the L.

Speaker 1:Congestion.

Speaker 2:Everything was delayed, and y'all selling signs for five grand.

Speaker 1:Yeah, I did. If they would have had that four train, the Bronx, uptown the Bronx and Queens, I didn't want to have one that said, what was it? Columbus Circle or something? I was like, I'm from uptown, homie. I don't want that.

Speaker 2:That's a big MTA spot, though. All the trains stop at Columbus Circle.

Speaker 1:Yeah, but I'm from uptown. That's okay. We got space in here. It would have been for the office.

Speaker 2:It would have been, you know, put on, we got brick walls in here. Well, yeah, that's why I wanted to go for all that. And I mean, listen, Trump just confirmed that Columbus Day is still happening. So I thought maybe you would have been into the Columbus.

Speaker 1:Columbus Circle for Columbus.

Speaker 2:Yeah.

Speaker 1:Something like that. Really into history. Yeah. Come on, man. I'm a history buff. You know that.

Speaker 4:Buff.

Speaker 3:History buff.

Speaker 1:Please. I'm a history buff. You know that. Come on, man. Nobody knows history more than me. Yeah, I definitely want to conquer his name up here. Yeah, I did want some of that memorabilia, though. I did. Same. It looks really cool. But Ryan, thank you for going out there early in the morning. The rainbow stop sign? They had a rainbow stop sign? That guy, he like bedazzled a bunch of shit with like LGBT. Oh, okay, okay. Is that the guy that had the Coca-Cola sign?

Speaker 2:Yeah.

Speaker 1:Oh, okay. That also had the rainbow stop sign. Oh, yeah. I saw the Coca-Cola sign. Ryan had like turned the camera around on FaceTime. And it was a cool Coca-Cola sign. What did he want? How much? Five grand? I was like, Ryan, go home. Ryan, you got to go home. It's an American brand. I get it. I don't know what they're doing out there, nine in the morning, hustling like that. But just go home, Ryan. But thank you for going out there so early. man i appreciate that.

Speaker 2:Before we get off local news um this is a basketball town i don't even care about the yankees.

Speaker 1:Like whatever i didn't i didn't want to win you didn't want to.

Speaker 2:Win it's a basketball time i'm focused i'm focused on the next week first game of the season.

Speaker 1:We kind of felt like the Yankees were going to get swept.

Speaker 3:Well, no.

Speaker 1:Y'all said they were going to win game three. I said, no, they're getting swept, bro.

Speaker 2:We thought they were going to win game three just to lose the series. Just to fuck with us. Which possibly could have happened if that fan didn't fucking reach over.

Speaker 1:But, you know, whatever.

Speaker 3:Sweep, sweep, baby. Wow.

Speaker 1:You're a New Yorker.

Speaker 3:Sorry.

Speaker 1:Sorry. Does Syracuse even have baseball? Yes, we do.

Speaker 3:Okay.

Speaker 1:You're saying like the sport in general? Yeah, yeah, yeah. They even play baseball in Syracuse? I'm sure they do.

Speaker 3:Yes, we do. We have a Syracuse baseball team. We have the Mets with the Syracuse Mets.

Speaker 1:The Syracuse Mets.

Speaker 3:Yeah, they're, you know, minor league.

Speaker 1:Is that AAA? Which one is that? Yes, I think it's the AAA.

Speaker 3:AAA minor.

Speaker 1:You ever been to the Staten Island Yankee Stadium?

Speaker 3:Yeah.

Speaker 1:It's actually nice. Got a nice view and shit. Mm-hmm. You ever been to the Norwich Navigators? Never been there. I've never been that deep in the trenches. I've never been that deep in the baseball trenches. I've never been that deep in the baseball trenches. I'm not going to see the Norwich. What is it? Norwich Navigator. I've never seen the Norwich Navigator. I went with my dad when I was really young.

Speaker 3:Who do they play for?

Speaker 2:I think they're tied to the, it's in Connecticut. I'm not sure which major league team they're connected to. It would have to either be the Red Sox.

Speaker 1:Or the Yankees. It's in Connecticut.

Speaker 3:Yeah, Norwich, Connecticut.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 3:That's cool.

Speaker 1:Double A minor. Then they moved to Norwich from Albany and played as a Yankee affiliate. Okay. Yeah. Go to images.

Speaker 2:They had like a, it was like an alligator with a telescope. I probably have like the t-shirt somewhere.

Speaker 1:The Norwich alligators. Navigators. Navigators. You know alligators. I saw alligators. I'm just thinking. You know alligators navigate really well. Yeah, of course they do. Come on, man. I've seen the swamps. That was fond memories. Boost Mobile has proven that you don't have to overpay for great wireless. Unlock the savings with $ 25 a month for our unlimited plan. Speaker 2:Anyways, where are we at with our list? What's going on in the world? Soul Train Awards.

Speaker 1:They are back. I thought they said that Soul Train Awards was canceled. That's what I thought too.

Speaker 2:I thought we did like a rest in peace eulogy for the Soul Train Awards.

Speaker 1:They were canceled, weren't they? You're not bugging. They definitely announced something.

Speaker 3:They had a three-year hiatus. They returned November 27th. But yeah, they had.

Speaker 1:A three-year hiatus. Snowback, so they want to come back.

Speaker 3:Anthony Anderson is hosting and it's going to be in Chicago.

Speaker 1:I love Anthony Anderson, but that's so random. Anthony Anderson is hosting and it's in Chicago.

Speaker 3:I don't think that's random. Why would that be random?

Speaker 1:I've never, he's hilarious. Don't get me wrong. I've just never seen him host anything. I think he may have hosted Soul Train before. Really? Yeah.

Speaker 3:Like Anthony Anderson.

Speaker 1:I love Anthony Anderson. Just wouldn't be my first. I think he's actually. I'm thinking maybe more Steve Harvey. I think he may have actually hosted Soul Train.

Speaker 3:He's hosted the Emmys. He's hosted the BET Awards. He's hosted the NAACP Image Awards.

Speaker 1:I take everything I say back. I apologize. I don't even remember him doing the BET Awards in 15 or 16. Okay. Well, he's great.

Speaker 3:Hosting Emmys is big.

Speaker 1:Huge. Yeah. Do we want to go through some of this?

Speaker 3:Well, except for the first time, they're letting the fans decide the Soul Train Award for Best R & B Slash Soul Song of the Year. And I'm going to read the nominees to you and you tell me what's wrong with some of the nominees. For Best R & B Soul Song of the Year, Kehlani Folded, Olivia Dean, Man I Need, Brent Fias, Butterflies, Chris Brown, and Bryson Taylor, It Depends, Mariah The Scientist featuring Callie Uchis, Is It a Crime, Justin Bieber, UConn, Tim Hortons, Justin.

Speaker 1:Bieber can't be nominated for Soul Song of the Year. Justin Bieber, UConn. Have you heard UConn? Yeah, buddy. Come on, man. You seen Justin? It's the most soulful record on this list. Yeah, but look at the melanin.

Speaker 3:No, it's not. Tim's, What You Need, Bruno Mars, I Just Might, Tyler, Chanel, and Daniel Caesar. Who knows? What's wrong with this list, Maul? Going to you.

Speaker 1:Justin Bieber is a white man. I feel like there's a song missing, though. You don't think white soul exists? Yeah. White soul.

Speaker 3:Yeah. But that ain't it.

Speaker 1:Yeah. But this ain't, this ain't white soul train. This is soul train. Oh, this is Palme.

Speaker 2:Oh no, I'm not going to get an argument. I mean, bees would be the only one that I think is properly crossed over.

Speaker 1:No, for sure. I'm just talking. Um, I don't know. Tyler's a pop act?

Speaker 3:The majority of these are pop acts. The majority of these are... Fuck pop acts. I don't care what type of music you usually make. I'm talking about the song that's nominated. Man I Need is one of the biggest pop songs of the past couple years. It Depends is a huge pop song. It Depends is a pop song.

Speaker 1:Bruno Mars are just my.

Speaker 3:i just might is a pop song chanel is a pop song the only soul songs i'm seeing on here is like folded in what you need even is it a crime i guess could be.

Speaker 2:Looked at as who knows is a soul song oh yeah that one too for sure and i'm not i know we were just joking around uconn is a soulful record it is it's not to me uconn's not like man i need i would say that's r & b soul way before man i need is.

Speaker 1:Or it depends.

Speaker 2:That's a pop record. Yeah, it's a lot of pop records. I think UConn actually falls in that category, though.

Speaker 1:But I think that they might be doing this like this, Baby D, because they're probably hoping that some of these artists show up to the Soul Train Awards.

Speaker 3:I would assume so. But that sucks.

Speaker 1:I can promise you that... Bruno Mars won't be there.

Speaker 3:No yeah I can probably promise you that he just might but I mean he might oh aren't you funny he might because that's his bop the Soul Train that's his him and Anderson. Paak might have a set like yeah that's his bop so.

Speaker 1:Bruno Mars will not be at the Soul Train Awards.

Speaker 3:He might be.

Speaker 1:He won't be.

Speaker 3:You would have never thought Bruno Mars would be on a song with Sexy Ray either. But Bruno does sing.

Speaker 1:That's how the fuck I did. Bruno Mars on the song with everybody. He can make any song, any genre. He's proven that.

Speaker 2:After he did an EP with Cardi, no, it didn't shock me that he moved on to Sexy Ray.

Speaker 3:He did not do an EP with Cardi. Yeah, I mean.

Speaker 1:Kehlani Folded might win though.

Speaker 3:Kehlani Folded should win. If you're going to do Song of the Year, you got to, you kind of got to give it to that.

Speaker 1:I ain't gonna lie. Brent fires butterflies, though. Love that record.

Speaker 2:Still a super underrated album to begin with. I love that Brent album.

Speaker 1:Brent's album is like, we need to talk about that Brent album that he dropped. That was this year, right? Yeah.

Speaker 3:We talked about it.

Speaker 2:No, we definitely talked about it. I really, really like that album.

Speaker 1:I like what Brent has been doing. I like the way he's curating his career, his albums, his aesthetically, everything he's doing. Like, I like Brent. I like what he's doing.

Speaker 2:But Brent, even like, I feel like the second half of his career, he may not have the timeline or have the media. He quietly does great numbers every time.

Speaker 1:Oh, for sure. That's why I like what he's doing.

Speaker 2:Even if it's a quiet release like Icon. No, I didn't see everyone talk about Icon, but Icon sold double of what Wasteland did the first week.

Speaker 1:It did great. Yeah.

Speaker 2:So I don't think that people not talking about it really means much for how great i personally think that album is but butterflies that's a contender in my opinion.

Speaker 1:Yeah definitely uh chris brown and bryson record was big too though.

Speaker 3:If that wins over folded it's gonna really piss me off.

Speaker 2:I don't i can't see any of these songs winning over folded folded checks every every box for the soul train awards like.

Speaker 1:No y'all gonna really be mad if man i need wins I'm going to fly off the handle. Because if that's the case, it should have did.

Speaker 3:If they were going to do Olivia Dean, why didn't they use... What's the other Olivia Dean one that was huge? Not Man I Need. It was the... Back on your sofa. Of course I still can't.

Speaker 1:I don't know. I'm terrible with song titles. I like that record though. Yeah.

Speaker 3:What is the name of it? Hold on.

Speaker 1:I feel like you can't go to any fucking... juice bar and not hear that song.

Speaker 3:A couple minutes.

Speaker 1:Yeah, a couple minutes. A couple minutes.

Speaker 3:If they were going to nominate.

Speaker 1:That's platinum in the smoothie spots.

Speaker 3:Yeah, but that's sold to me.

Speaker 1:Erewhon? Erewhon playing the shit out of that song. That song playing Erewhon every 12 minutes. For sure.

Speaker 3:And man, I need to play every five minutes in Zara for sure.

Speaker 1:Absolutely.

Speaker 2:You should get extra money on spins in Erewhon because the prices are so inflated in there. My song plays in there, I want double the money too. Everything should be more expensive. Yeah, that's like having your song playing Urban Outfitters. That can't be the same as a stream. Yeah, that got to count for something. We got to get a little bit more like.

Speaker 1:Erewhon? Come on, platinum and Erewhon. You can't go to no Erewhon and not hear my shit. Come on, that's when you go to those stores. That's where I hear music I never really heard. I definitely have heard in like stores like that and shazam did like who is this yeah yeah 100 yeah not olivia dean obviously i know that record but.

Speaker 2:Music discovery has now been moved to overpriced fruits and vegetables for sure like that's the best place for music discovery is when you're being fucked by them because.

Speaker 1:When i'm waiting here i'm waiting for my smoothies like yeah who is this yeah Just watching my account go down by the aisle. Yeah.

Speaker 3:Well, I hope that the Soul Train Awards does well, but if they want to have any type of integrity, you can't have the Soul Train Awards. The top award at your thing can't be full of pop records. That's insane.

Speaker 1:If Tim's winning, you're going.

Speaker 3:To be mad? No, that's my favorite song on the list. And I think it's probably, if you're going to do best, it's probably the best song on there. But Folded deserves to win.

Speaker 1:No folded is probably the best song on there.

Speaker 3:Folded is an amazing song what you need is an amazing song though hell yeah it's an amazing song so uh do we know the date when is this happening it's happening november 27th okay all right on a friday which is funny because they usually happen on sundays.

Speaker 1:Is that like the day after thanksgiving.

Speaker 3:I think so Well, that makes sense.

Speaker 1:Yeah, families all together. Yeah. I actually don't mind that. Friday, everyone's home. They should have aired it on Thanksgiving. Obviously, they shoot it before Thanksgiving. To compete with football? Fucking hell, no. Who do we think we're getting? That's for us. We don't really care about football, do we? Was it last? No, that was Christmas.

Speaker 2:Beyonce performed. But no, they usually do like a big halftime performance for Thanksgiving, too.

Speaker 1:Yeah, but you know. Remember Jack Harlow came out the igloo with his mans? That was for Thanksgiving in Detroit? Yeah. I do remember that. That was Detroit, right? Yeah, it was Detroit.

Speaker 3:Well, he said, wasn't it like LiAngelo Ball?

Speaker 2:No, LiAngelo Ball was like All-Star Weekend or something like that. Oh, no, LiAngelo Ball did do Thanksgiving. He did Thanksgiving where?

Speaker 1:MEA? Well, you got to think, he's very family-oriented. Like, it matches. All right, hold on. LiAngelo Ball performed at halftime. No, he did the pregame. Pregame. For the NFL? Yeah. In Detroit. They was trying to push that shit, wasn't they?

Speaker 3:I might swear, but not going to. Didn't Jazz produce that?

Speaker 1:Well, Jazzman was his tour manager. Yeah. They had Landry at the playoffs. I understand why people don't like me. I get it.

Speaker 3:I get it finally no.

Speaker 1:I understand it okay but if y'all know me in real life y'all know i'm a likable person like i'm not a rude like i'm a nice you're not a rude person i'm a nice guy but it's a certain shit i just can't hold back that's like what are we doing that song was not y'all tried to gas that song that song was not dope you just don't.

Speaker 3:Like it's okay you know we can just have a difference of.

Speaker 1:Opinion y'all not gonna say that song is dope that's not a dope record And I'm so mad I didn't even talk to Juvenile about that record when he was here. I know he would have had some disparaging things to say about that song.

Speaker 2:Well, it didn't have any staying power. If it was at the height of that record, that would have been a great question. I think Juvie probably forgot.

Speaker 1:About that record already. No, he didn't. Everyone forgot about it. He's probably getting royalties from that record. I like the song, but it didn't have much staying power. He's probably getting royalties from that record. I would hope so, but I highly doubt it. I'm down as hell. That's an AI record. I'm not going to argue with you on that. LiAngelo Ball did not write that record. I'm not going to argue with you. He did not write that record.

Speaker 3:No, A.I. didn't write I Might Swerve in that corner. Whoa, whoa.

Speaker 1:What?

Speaker 3:Bitch, hold on tight because I get in this bitch start letting shit because I start tweaking this bitch. That does not sound like that.

Speaker 1:No. That's an A.I. record, man.

Speaker 3:Hold on tight bitch I'll tweak in this shit start letting shit go AI he's not gonna write like that.

Speaker 2:What's the um that record we all love this summer that was clearly AI and the guy went on a tour the Phoenix record That has more complicated lyrics than fucking the LiAngelo Baldwin, but.

Speaker 3:That's my point That's my but that's my point.

Speaker 1:Can you pull up the lyrics to this record Ryan this Phoenix flexing record? I just want to see something.

Speaker 3:Was it this?

Speaker 1:Why, hello there. Why, hello there. Greetings, greetings, greetings. Swiping cards and stacking chips. I saw you sinking ships. Left me standing in the pouring rain that I bought a heavy diamond chain. That sounds like- Bing, blah, blah. My pocket's getting thicker. The watch is moving quicker. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Money talks is much louder now. It's LiAngelo Ball. But I can't sleep through the night. Can't sleep through the night. Still seeing your face in the glass. Why do you call me? Why do you call when you're short on cash?

Speaker 1:You think that.

Speaker 3:But that sounds like AI. That literally sounds like AI. That sounds like something AI would write. LiAngelo... Can you pull up.

Speaker 1:The LiAngelo Ball record now? Watch this. Watch this, baby D. Watch how fast. Watch how fast you agree. Watch how fast. All right. I might swerve in that corner. Whoa, bitch. Hold on tight. Cause I tweaking this bitch. Start letting shit go. And I heard that she want to show me who she be. I'm kind of fucking with it. Show me some more bitch. We tatted head to toe. Could give a fuck. The story wrote, you want to tweak it up with me? Then I'm going to show you.

Speaker 3:How to act.

Speaker 1:I'm sorry. Like the money in my pockets blow. They having convos about me. These pussy niggas don't.

Speaker 3:I did not write that. AI is so, that other one sounds like some shit where you'd be like, AI, write me a rap song. That's what that other one sounds like. This does not sound like AI.

Speaker 1:Shit.

Speaker 3:That does not sound like AI. All right. AI did not say, left him in that shit water. That's not AI. Like, I'm not saying Jello wrote it, but that's not AI.

Speaker 1:Write me a song about tweaking. Oh, whatever. Whatever. Write me a song about me tweaking and letting shit go.

Speaker 3:If that's the case, then y'all would think all the songs that these young kids write nowadays sound like A.I.

Speaker 1:You think he was kicking it with his Memphis twin?

Speaker 3:He was definitely kicking it with his... See you nigga acting bothered. Got my green light to red. Dot him if you spot me home. Sorry, I can't take you getting gnarly.

Speaker 1:Nobody.

Speaker 3:A.I. didn't write that.

Speaker 1:No, Jello definitely lives that life.

Speaker 3:We not gonna talk about rappers not living the life they rap about because then we would have no one on our playlist.

Speaker 1:I know. I'm aware.

Speaker 3:Just saying. But yeah, Ma, I don't think that people dislike you because you say the things that other people won't say. I think people dislike you because you don't understand that other people have a different opinion of yours. So you think when other people have a different opinion, you think that they're lying.

Speaker 1:I think it sucks. I think your opinion sucks. I think your taste level is terrible. I think your palate is terrible. Yeah, sometimes that doesn't mean I'm a terrible person. You know people who has terrible taste, right?

Speaker 2:Right we can agree of course but all right you you can also have the palette of fucking rayos and carbone but sometimes you just want a fucking.

Speaker 1:Big mac sure but then if i say that big mac is terrible that's a terrible burger you can't say like but no the special sauce is incredible.

Speaker 2:But am i enjoying it yes that's what we're saying you anyone can say a big mac is terrible there's burgers that are better i'm enjoying this big.

Speaker 1:Mac right i'm not enjoying a big mac burger.

Speaker 2:Bro Sometimes when you're drunk and it's 3 a.m., a Big Mac. Listen, White Castle hits different.

Speaker 1:You enjoy anything when you're drunk.

Speaker 3:Okay, just like that song. You enjoy baddies. You actively sit up there and enjoy baddies. Baddies is by definition terrible fucking food.

Speaker 1:Hey, I don't enjoy baddies. It's a lifestyle. Right? You don't enjoy a lifestyle. You just are a lifestyle. You just become it. Okay, Big Baller brand. That's a lifestyle. You still didn't get your sneakers. Thank you.

Speaker 3:They talking about, they calling for the cancellation of baddies because of the lifestyles promoting left somebody dead.

Speaker 1:Yeah, I heard about this. Somebody, a security guard was killed at a bad event in San Francisco. Suspect Shakia Vanderbilt, 32, has been charged with the murder. Do we have a picture of her? Was she a girl on the show or was she just there?

Speaker 3:She was one of the fans there.

Speaker 2:I love how this news outlet spelt it. M-U-R-D-A with charged with murder.

Speaker 1:So she was just one of the, she was one of the, was she trying to be on the show? I don't, they haven't. I think maybe they're shooting. I haven't been keeping up. I think they're shooting baddie San Francisco right now. So this, this is episodes that haven't aired yet. And this was in the middle of shooting that. Okay. So she was, was she on the show?

Speaker 2:So yes, she was being escorted out of what was maybe a high tense situation in a baddies filming.

Speaker 1:Is what it appears at this point.

Speaker 3:And RIP to that gentleman because his two of his kids and his wife were there when that happened.

Speaker 1:What's his name?

Speaker 3:Ulysses.

Speaker 1:Ulysses. Ulysses. Tykee Davis. Rest in peace. To Ulysses Tykee Davis, prayers to his family. That's terrible. But so she was she was on.

Speaker 3:We don't know.

Speaker 1:They didn't they didn't they didn't release that information. No, no.

Speaker 3:They could have been a fan. She could have anything.

Speaker 2:Well, I mean, what they said was he was security guard and it was a high tense situation in the baddies. filming. But security takes those women after they fight.

Speaker 1:No, she probably was on the show. That's what I'm saying. She can't be a fan and got a gun in the building. No way. I can see a girl that's on the show getting a gun.

Speaker 3:But I also don't think it was a closed event because he didn't work. He's not batty security. He's security for the venue. okay but even like oh okay but but they're like they could have just like for example when they do club appearances or things like that they're not the only people in the building got you they did the showcase in time square you could buy tickets to it but they filmed an episode that was a whole episode of them performing so yeah but.

Speaker 1:Who knows either way somebody passed doesn't matter if she was on the show or not but she is in custody and she's charged with the murder um yeah in San Francisco no yeah I mean what does this mean for baddies though they might be Zeus might be in some trouble behind this.

Speaker 3:They need to be shut the fuck down they need to be shut.

Speaker 2:Down they need to shut baddies down they had their fun I think it's right it's course as someone that enjoyed the season it's right it's course This is the final nail.

Speaker 1:Like they can't keep doing this shit.

Speaker 3:Look what it's promoting. Look what, look when you create that type of environment on purpose, on purpose, you're creating that, that type of environment. Come on. The people you attract to the show, all of that. Everybody ain't playing crazy for views. Some motherfuckers are really crazy and you shouldn't be exploiting those people and putting other people in danger at the same time.

Speaker 2:Last episode I watched, homie was taking two girls to Paris to, to bring the baddies brand international i can't see that happening now if this happened in san francisco i don't think paris or milan is really going to get down this way i think it might really.

Speaker 1:Be over for baddies well they had a run if it's over but yeah something like this happening is um you got to either look at everything that's going on and security measures and the people that y'all letting into these events Or run the risk of getting completely shut down. I don't see Zeus. Zeus Network might be like, all right, we got to.

Speaker 2:Or they'll just do like what TruTV does with Impractical Jokers. It'll just be Jocelyn's channel. Whatever Jocelyn wants to do.

Speaker 1:Yeah. It'll just be seven different Jocelyn shows.

Speaker 2:But I mean, they did put... Zeus does have a lot of like investor backing. That's not some chump network.

Speaker 1:No, no, no. Not at all.

Speaker 2:Even though they have some insane type shows.

Speaker 1:That's not.

Speaker 2:Like, they're pretty high in ratings. They bring in a lot of fucking money.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 3:Oh, yeah, for sure.

Speaker 2:So, I am curious what that does to Zeus outside of just the baddie situation. But, unfortunately, too, they all have insurance for shit like this.

Speaker 1:Exactly.

Speaker 2:When these types of things happen... Just from what I've seen outside looking in, it just becomes a blame game of who's going to sue the other person faster so they don't have to take accountability for it.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:Zeus will put it on. Venue didn't have good enough security. Venue allowed them to do that. Venue will sue the third party security company. Security company will sue the vent. Like it'll just do this for 10 years just so Zeus can buy time to get the public perception away from them.

Speaker 1:And move on. Yeah, that's tragic, though. Oh, for sure. For a security guard to lose his life like that. And then his family being there. That's terrible.

Speaker 2:We could say in music, though. I know we got off track there. J. Cole's The Fall Off and Don Toliver Octane are currently the favorites on Polymarket to earn Best Rap Album nominations at the Grammys.

Speaker 3:Who y'all betting on?

Speaker 1:Who is it? J. Cole's The Fall Off and Don Toliver's Octane?

Speaker 4:Um.

Speaker 2:I think, I think the, I'm not saying like the industry is now finally like waking up on Dom, but I think they're catching up and they are going to crown him the next one by, I think he's going to clean up at the Grammys.

Speaker 1:Okay. I think Don, they need a new golden child.

Speaker 2:And I think this is going to be Don's year because also it's rightfully so. of the year that he's had and the music he's put out, I do see him cleaning up because there isn't really a clear superstar for the younger kids. And I think the Grammys can help with that perception if he cleans up.

Speaker 1:Okay.

Speaker 2:And I want to make it very clear. I think he's very deserved. If he cleans up, he's very deserving of that. But I do think hip hop is in need of that poster child of the new age. And I think if Don is there with four Grammys and he has that photo, That does help with that perception.

Speaker 1:Okay. I mean, away from that, he deserves it. Octane is definitely one of the best albums of the year for sure. I mean, obviously Iceman is right there, but I don't think Drake is submitting. No, it appears that he's not. Yeah. So, I mean, Iceman is the album of the year to me. I mean, to a lot of people.

Speaker 3:You think Iceman was bigger than Octane this year?

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 3:I'm not talking about sales-wise, I'm talking about impact-wise.

Speaker 1:Yes. Okay. Yes. I think you could argue either side, to be honest. No, of course you can. You can always argue either side.

Speaker 2:That moment with Iceman was, you couldn't compare it to it, but I feel like how long Octane has been relevant is crazy.

Speaker 1:I think it competes in that sense. Obviously, yeah. That's what I'm saying. You can argue for both sides. The tour, incredible. So we know, I said at the top of the year, maybe back in March, I was like, Don Tyler's album is fucking incredible. But yeah, I think he should win album of the year for sure. Yeah.

Speaker 2:I can see E85 cleaning up too for record of the year song, best melodic performance, et cetera. But I am curious what the nominations end up with, rap album. Obviously, Cole should be there. I know Wale was submitting E85. definitely well deserved. I did see, they had one prediction list already for rap album of the year, but I do think it'll go to Don.

Speaker 1:I think Octane might win. It might be tough to give him album of the year.

Speaker 3:I think best rap album, I don't think he's getting album of the year. Who are the album of the year nominees?

Speaker 1:There's no nominees yet. This is all, everyone's just submitting.

Speaker 3:Oh, they're submitting.

Speaker 1:This is like four year consideration time.

Speaker 3:Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:Yeah, so there's still some time.

Speaker 2:They're still doing, you know, Grammy board and politic thing now, but they've just been putting predictions out.

Speaker 1:Um, but I don't know.

Speaker 2:I mean, I can also see the fall off getting it. I just think this is going to be Don's year. Um, some of the predictions, Kanye bully.

Speaker 1:I doubt it. I'm not saying it's a bad album. I just, yeah. And politics is crazy. ASAP Rocky. Don't be dumb.

Speaker 2:Should definitely be nominated. My opinion, baby keen casino. Um, Isaiah Rashad. It's been awful. Vince Staples cry baby. Um, I say for sure, A $ AP, Keem, Cole, and Don will be there. I think Wally deserves to be there. But that's my predictions of who I think the Grammys will accept.

Speaker 1:Wally definitely deserves a nomination for Best Rap Album.

Speaker 2:Yeah.

Speaker 1:No, absolutely. I feel like it's somebody else, too, that we might be missing. Somebody else that dropped. But yeah, I mean, just happy that Don is being talked like this. They're talking about him and Obviously, he's probably one of the three favorites to win album of the year. Yeah. Yeah, I'm happy for Don, man. I'm happy for Don. To me, Don, his discography is incredible. I don't think he has a whack album. I don't think he has a bad album. Yeah, man.

Speaker 1:I'm happy for Don. He deserves it.

Speaker 2:Also on the prediction side, who will headline Coachella for 2027? What's that?

Speaker 1:Usually in April?

Speaker 2:But they announced towards the end of the year. They have Drake at 41%, Daft Punk at 8%, Kanye at 5%, and Kendrick at 2%. I could see Drake headlining Coachella. He's never headlined Coachella, right?

Speaker 1:I don't think so. He has. I think he's performed it early, but I don't know if he's headlined. If he's headlined, it was years ago.

Speaker 3:2015?

Speaker 1:Oh yeah, no.

Speaker 2:Remember he raps about seeing the boys at Coachella or whatever that he's rapped about a thousand times?

Speaker 1:I think this would be a good year for Drake to do Coachella though. I could see it.

Speaker 2:I did see people saying SZA as well was pretty high on the prediction list. Yeah, and I think she's been teasing so many photos of her in the studio. I do think new music is coming and SZA's always been really good at timing moments and performances with new music um so i could see her putting out a project right before coachella or like at the top of next year and just riding that to the coachella headline i could definitely see scissor there.

Speaker 3:I don't think we're getting new scissor till 2028 yeah yeah 28 28 i don't know why not next year well since i don't be putting out like that.

Speaker 1:What was the difference?

Speaker 3:What was the distance between Control and SOS?

Speaker 1:Like five, six years, maybe.

Speaker 3:So even if we cut that down to three.

Speaker 2:But then, I don't know, the Lana, the Deluxe was a whole new album. And that came relatively quick after about a year, right?

Speaker 3:Which is my point. And that's probably why we won't be getting new music for it. If she didn't release Lana, then I'd say 27. Yeah.

Speaker 2:But a lot of Lana was just stuff from the SOS, like, vault that wouldn't make sense in 2026, 27, 28. And maybe I'm just hoping that we get it in 27.

Speaker 3:I think we all are.

Speaker 2:She would be great for that. But having Daft Punk, do they have like an anniversary coming up or something? But either way, Daft Punk and Coachella, it would be worth the price of admission.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:That's worth taking some drugs you don't usually take and going.

Speaker 1:To the desert. Yeah, Coachella might be all right, man, next year.

Speaker 2:If they do Daft Punk and Drake, you got to take Ecstasy, not Molly. Don't get none of that new shit, bro. Go get you some classic Long Island Expressway Ecstasy. That's what you need for Daft Punk. But that would be a great weekend if it was... Drake and Daft Punk. And the amount of people I think Daft Punk would just bring out would be insane. You might even get Kanye if, well, I don't know, is Daft Punk Jewish?

Speaker 1:I don't know their real identities. You can probably take a good guess. Take a guesstimation of what they are.

Speaker 3:Oh, one of the members is Jewish.

Speaker 1:Oh, no Kanye. Never mind. Never mind. No faster, stronger, harder for you. Won't be needing you there.

Speaker 3:Bruno has never had lying Coachella.

Speaker 1:Okay. I'm shocked he's not in the higher percentage then.

Speaker 3:Bruno has never headlined Coachella.

Speaker 2:And that's not far from Vegas, where he owes his life. Like, that's a quick drive from Coachella to Vegas. He could take the money from Coachella and drive it back to Vegas.

Speaker 3:Yeah. He's never... Oh, they said Taylor Swift's never done it, but she doesn't do anything. Rihanna's never headlined it. She's not going to. Adele hasn't, but that's not really her crowd.

Speaker 1:I think if... Odell Odell Odell and Adele could do they could do Coachella together the Dells yeah the Dells the Delphonics.

Speaker 2:Yeah Adele like if she if she gives us like her uptempo album which I feel like she owes us like a little more uptempo than Rolling in the Deep but giving us like 10 Rolling in the Deep so I think.

Speaker 1:She could do a really cool Coachella set Adele yeah Have you seen Adele's show? She got a gown on. She not giving us no up-tempo no time.

Speaker 3:I don't want no up-tempo Adele. As up-tempo as I want Adele to go is rolling in the deep.

Speaker 2:That's what I said. A little bit past rolling in the deep. Give me 10 of those. I think she could easily pull it off. She could, but do we want that?

Speaker 1:You want it? I don't want it.

Speaker 2:Well, first of all, I would love to hear 30 in the desert. I don't care if She would be at Coachella where you want maybe more drugged up music.

Speaker 1:Don Tomlin's not, they don't got him at Coachella? He could definitely headline next year.

Speaker 3:Headline?

Speaker 1:One of the headliners, yeah. Absolutely. You see what he's doing on his tour?

Speaker 3:I do. But Coachella headliners tend to be like, it's not about having a big year. That's like about having a big career.

Speaker 2:No, I hear what you're saying, but I do think Don could do that. If he's paired with two other big headliners for the weekend? He could do a Friday set, Friday night headliner.

Speaker 1:He did it this year, this past April, right?

Speaker 3:He headlined? He performed.

Speaker 2:But I'm saying now he's in a different space.

Speaker 3:But you got to have what? How long is the headline set? Like 30 minutes? An hour?

Speaker 1:Hour. Hour and a half? Yeah, like that's... His set now is an hour.

Speaker 3:Yeah, but.

Speaker 1:Yeah, I'm waiting to see it like, man, y'all.

Speaker 3:90 minutes to an hour and 40, yeah.

Speaker 1:Have you ever seen Dawn Live?

Speaker 3:No, I've never seen Dawn Live, but it's not a, when you're doing a, so paying to go see somebody that you, like one particular person, you know you're a fan of those. That's why you're going, or you want to discover more about them. When you buy a Coachella ticket, it's usually someone who caters to a large group. Are you seeing what I'm saying? When you're picking out a headliner. That's why so often it's a pop artist. It's someone who can cater to damn near every body that's there.

Speaker 3:So you have to have kind of like a longer career to do that.

Speaker 1:Yeah, I mean, for the most part, it is a lot of legacy acts.

Speaker 3:Yeah. Or extremely big pop acts. Or international acts.

Speaker 2:But I mean, like 2019, not to take anything away from Childish Gambino, I think he's incredible. I mean, as far as when Childish, like, crossed over to being super popular, you have Because of the Internet and then the... What's that? I love that album with the blue and black cover. He didn't have much.

Speaker 3:Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 2:And they paired him with Tame Impala and Ariana Grande. So I don't think Don taking the slot the way Childish did is that far-fetched. But now that he performed last year, then no.

Speaker 1:I don't think.

Speaker 3:Yeah.

Speaker 1:Yeah, I forgot he did it in April.

Speaker 3:Awaken My Love was the name of the Childish album.

Speaker 1:Amazing album.

Speaker 2:I just don't know how many songs from that Besides the single, did he probably play at Coachella?

Speaker 1:Not many. So, John could do it, but.

Speaker 3:Yeah. That makes sense. You guys are right.

Speaker 1:I'll take it back. Well, I don't know. Let me ask you.

Speaker 2:Do you think Drake takes that? Because he would have to make it like a moment moment out of Coachella. Would he give that to Coachella?

Speaker 1:Obviously, he's not doing.

Speaker 2:The Super Bowl because of relationships and that whole thing. Does he give that moment to Coachella? There's not very many moments. There's Headline and Coachella. There's Super Bowl.

Speaker 1:He's definitely going on tour. We know that. I don't know. I don't know. I feel like Drake is in a space where he's just I guess all of the things that you know other artists would love to do. I think he's probably like in a space where he's like turning all of that shit down and just doing his own thing. But I don't know. I mean, I think he'll definitely be on tour next April. Yeah. I just don't know if he stops and does Coachella. But if he does do Coachella, it is going to be something production wise that's on a whole nother level. Yeah.

Speaker 2:And I guess why I ask, because, yeah, I believe obviously he'll be on tour at that time. I do think when I say a moment for Coachella, kind of to what we're speaking with the legacy thing, I don't know if it makes sense for Drake to go do the Iceman thing.

Speaker 1:Tour at Coachella.

Speaker 2:I think he needs to make a Coachella set in a moment where you're going through your whole catalog. Not just place my arena tour stage at Coachella and do that set.

Speaker 1:Or do something cool. Iceman in the Desert. No, for sure there'd be Iceman records. I mean, he probably, you know what I'm saying, could do some shit like that. I don't know.

Speaker 3:Yeah.

Speaker 1:Just as far as production. But even like Biebs.

Speaker 2:Biebs went through his whole catalog when he was about to do the swag tour.

Speaker 1:I think it has to be a whole different set. Yeah, no, for sure. In that regard. From the tour. Yeah.

Speaker 3:Yeah.

Speaker 2:But I mean, Iceman in the Desert would be cool as fuck.

Speaker 1:I mean, Frank tried it. He was going to have the ice skating rink, right? Yeah. Did he have the ice skating rink? It was there. Okay.

Speaker 2:That's what I'm saying. I feel for Frank, man. I know he got right in his trailer and said, this is why I don't go outside.

Speaker 1:This is why I stay to myself. I told y'all I didn't want to do this.

Speaker 2:You know he found the one person that he trusts that talked to me. I fucking told you. You came over to me and said, yo, you should do it, Frank.

Speaker 1:Does Frank Ocean have the same management he had before he did Coachella? I don't know. What happened that year again? The ice didn't make it.

Speaker 2:And there was technical difficulties, production mishaps.

Speaker 1:It was a mess to the point that he didn't even do the following weekend. Yeah, it was a lot.

Speaker 2:Late start, production changes, set content. It abruptly ended.

Speaker 1:They took it off the live stream. Just bad, man. That was bad. And I was looking forward to that because we hadn't seen Frank Ocean in a while before that, right?

Speaker 2:And we all thought they put the orange BMW out in the desert. We thought we were getting a whole album with this shit. Like Frank don't come outside for no reason. There might be an album at midnight after that performance. Nope. Just a bunch of ice skaters in the desert and a canceled show six songs in. you know how mad i would have been if i went to the desert for that because that's something i would frank headlining is something i.

Speaker 1:Would go oh no that's what most people went for.

Speaker 2:Like i'm making a weekend out of that yeah and then that happens i would be fucking pissed oh man.

Speaker 3:Well you know you you don't usually find out like by the time you find out who's headlining coachella the tickets are sold out right like you gotta start i think they.

Speaker 1:Put they put the tickets on sale with the lineup announcement i think it was like oh yeah.

Speaker 3:Yeah the tickets go on sale like two days after coach the last one.

Speaker 2:The cheaper version and then i'm sure they go up extensively in.

Speaker 3:Price i don't know i've just always felt like by the time they release the fucking headliners the tickets are damn near gone so like you can buy a lot of people buy tickets i have no idea i mean.

Speaker 2:That's because they've created such an amazing brand that you know that no matter what it's going to be okay yeah but i i enjoyed coachella the one day that that i went And maybe if you stay there longer, you get some of the more annoying things. People talk about the dust and all that shit. Listen, man, you get a fucking bandana and you're fine.

Speaker 1:Come on, man. Put your stripes on.

Speaker 2:It wasn't super, super, like, it was sold out, obviously, but I didn't feel like I was like this everywhere. Like, you can move around. They have great food. Like, I had a good experience at Coachella. I need to tell you about this new prediction market called Polymarket. It's the best new way to trade in sports. In the past, if you wanted action on the game, you'd put some money in, and if your team was doing well and you wanted to cash out, they'd lock the trade or take a huge fee. But Polymarket is a prediction market.

Speaker 2:It's stock exchange for sports, buying in and selling out on your terms. I've tried them all. And Polymarket is simply the best prediction market. Better than DraftKings, FanDuel, Kalshi, you name it. They are so confident you'll never go back to the other guys. They are giving you a free $ 25 discount. on your first trade when you deposit just $ 10. And now they've launched a new feature, Squads, a group chat where you can see what everyone is trading on. So download the Polymarket app today and use Rory Mall when you sign up. That's Rory Mall to get $ 25 free after you deposit.

Speaker 1:Just $ 10.

Speaker 2:Staying on music um i like that you know we clown complex for putting out lists but i do like that they keep updating this uh hottest rappers alive list per month i think that's kind of cool we're just we're in the era where everything is right now and in the moment so waiting for year-end lists i like the the month by month type of thing so it's.

Speaker 1:Good to see who drops in 30 days. Who was the hottest 30 days later? Not that hot anymore.

Speaker 2:But shit moves so fast. Like it reflects the era. I feel like, like, I feel like even after complex con, like that shifts things like playboy, Cardi should be higher after the incident. And that's fucked up to say, but am I like Kanye going there and make it a huge moment?

Speaker 1:Like that counts. Yeah, I guess. And they did perform right. Cardi and Yeh. Cardi did. I don't know. Kanye did come out. But to me, that's a moment.

Speaker 2:If you're going month by month, I think those things matter. Maybe not in the long run, but in this style of updating, I think that's fine. I love that Eminem is now at 15 because he has a song with Kid Rock working out their political differences.

Speaker 1:We vote in november that's right we gotta hear both sides that's very true absolutely you think that's what we need at a time like this come on we need the soundtrack to go to the polls you know that you know we need something to listen to.

Speaker 2:Um but we can do the top 10 uh it's drake don yay rodway playboy cardi jay-z ken carson travis scott kendrick lamar is the top 10 um do we have what it was last month ryan what were the major changes um no J Cole in the top 10 anymore.

Speaker 3:Um, yeah, you jumped up six spots.

Speaker 2:Well, I mean, that's cause he performed at the platform. That's putting this list out.

Speaker 3:Um, wait, so can't wait. Kendrick's currently higher than J Cole on October's list.

Speaker 1:Yeah. Cole is at 12. Kendrick is at 10 young boys in between.

Speaker 2:Um, I was there a thing. Oh, um, He was in the studio for the Shack album.

Speaker 3:Oh, okay.

Speaker 1:You saw the photo.

Speaker 3:Makes sense.

Speaker 1:It's hot. No, it makes a lot of sense. Yeah, it makes sense.

Speaker 2:And this is not for everyone thinking this is going to be a Kendrick bashing thing. J. Cole is still on a sold out tour. That hasn't changed since September. Cole should still be in the top fucking 10. Like, what are we talking about?

Speaker 1:Where's Macklemore at? He's pretty hot. 24. He's pretty hot. Did he move up?

Speaker 3:He wasn't on it last time.

Speaker 1:He wasn't on it last time. He's number 24 now. Scorching. I'm telling you. That's who I was waiting for y'all to talk about. Where's Macklemore? Scorching hot. Amen. He's tearing up the charts right now. Where's Edge? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, he's tearing up the charts. Macklemore's number 24. Tearing up the charts is fucking crazy. He wasn't on the list in September. He's number 24 now.

Speaker 2:So you think because of Robert Kraft, Macklemore's shot up to 24?

Speaker 1:However, why ever you want to say he's there, he's number 24 now is all I'm saying. This is going to sound great. He should be higher. I thought he was going to be number one. I told Macklemore. That's surpassing Iceman? Yeah. What? What he's out there doing right now? Shit. Okay. Hear me out.

Speaker 2:I know we're making jokes, but in the month of September going into October, was that not one of the most talked about things? And did it surround music? Because it was what he was saying on stage. He should crack the top 15.

Speaker 1:Rory, I'm laughing, but I'm not joking. I thought he was going to be number one. Yeah. I'm just saying. I thought Macklemore was going to be number one. I don't know where Rod Wave stands. Yeah, like, come on, man. Macklemore, you heard what he did?

Speaker 3:Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:He said, all I needed was two shows. He went in there with a plan. You know how you playing your shit? Months out, baby D. Macklemore knew. He was like, yo, Ed called. Like, oh, I need two shows to get my political shit off. Yeah. And I'm out of there. He knew what he was doing.

Speaker 3:Streams went up.

Speaker 1:Everything. He knew what he was doing.

Speaker 3:Nice net 30 coming.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 3:Wait, how long it take y'all to get y'all streaming checks?

Speaker 1:That can depend. It depends on the people he's actually... To deal with your publisher. The people that he's actually fighting and standing up against. It might be a net 90. They might hold all his earnings for a few years.

Speaker 2:In fact, they were promised his earnings 400 years ago.

Speaker 1:They might hold his earnings, man. Oh, shit.

Speaker 2:Where's Mondami on this list he was a rapper oh man and he's doing the cool shit with Nas not like a hip hop union pull that up that they're doing I saw that Nas did something really cool with Grandmaster Cass just like making sure the legends are okay he was talking to Mondami about that and what we always talked about that they do in Canada where you can get a grant to be an artist Mondami's trying to bring that to New York where you can get was it a 10k grant um, to do that.

Speaker 1:My thing.

Speaker 2:All right, here's my thing. I think that's great. And we've always been jealous of it. We've always thought what they do in Toronto is so cool. We've gotten Daniel Caesar from that grant. We've gotten division from that grant. Uh, we've gotten amazing art. Jesse Ray is from that grant. Some of our favorite music comes from that. I think when Dami might get himself in a Rico, if it's with New York music.

Speaker 1:$ 10, 000 grants. Yeah.

Speaker 4:More.

Speaker 1:It's just a little different. More. It's a little different. A little different here. It's just a little different.

Speaker 2:What happens when GS9 gets that grant and all of it doesn't go to studio charges?

Speaker 3:That is disappropriating government funds.

Speaker 1:This is going to be bad. This is going to be bad. I think it's amazing.

Speaker 2:Yeah, no, the thought is amazing. We've been begging for this in New York City. We are the liberal arts mecca. Like, Art runs this entire city. We have the greatest artists. People come here from all over to be artists. This is an awesome program that Canada has beat us to.

Speaker 1:I just don't know with where the music scene is now. Yeah. If the line items on some of those grants.

Speaker 3:Yeah.

Speaker 1:Yeah. But that puts Mondami on the list, in my opinion. He's a rapper. He did this. He got put out some music, though. He got dropped something. How would you feel? What was the chant that they gave him? The hook that they were singing to him yesterday? That was the hook. Was it traitor, traitor?

Speaker 3:Maul.

Speaker 1:You want me to sample that and throw some 808s behind it? Nah, because y'all not going to let me hear it. Hold on. I got to find it.

Speaker 3:What rhymes with mayor?

Speaker 1:Traitor.

Speaker 3:Not technically.

Speaker 1:Holy shit.

Speaker 2:I think people that listen to this podcast often know where I stand on the Israel Palestine conflict. Um, I will say, as a left-leaner, this is why we can never win. This is why us as Democrats will always fucking lose. We have our dream candidate. Look what you're doing to him.

Speaker 1:Oh, man. This is a simulation, though. You know that. None of this is real.

Speaker 2:He's the mayor of the city with the most amount of Jewish people outside of Israel. Of course he's going to be at the October 7th thing. What the fuck is wrong with you? y'all know where i stand on this shit it's fuck israel all day but of course the mayor is going to be there i don't feel the way i don't think mandani has changed i don't think he's a traitor and this is why as democrats we will always fucking fail we eat our leaders for the most minuscule things ever while the republicans don't give a fuck and just.

Speaker 1:Unify well actually now they've changed a bit but.

Speaker 2:That's how they got it but they'll still make excuses yeah they'll make excuses for it you're trying to get that.

Speaker 1:Shit Okay, that's the hook. Trader, trader, come on out. Trader, trader, come on out. You sold all your people out. You sold all your people. Yeah, my dog can catch that. Clip that, Peach. I'm going to make a beat around that. Yeah, he can catch that beat. He can catch that flow right there and give him something. Peach, clip that and I will make....

Speaker 2:I have a live stream idea or Patreon. Let's make this beat live on Patreon.

Speaker 1:You can see Mom Don catching that.

Speaker 3:Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1:No, I like the bass line that you're having. Yeah.

Speaker 3:I feel like Jay-Z.

Speaker 1:You know what Jay-Z is like. I can feel the bass line. Traitor, traitor, come on out. That was like a Commodore bass line. Yeah. You sold all your people out. You sold all your people out. You sold all your... Then speed up. You sold all your people out. You sold all your people out. Stop playing with him, Ryan. You sold all your people out. <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> You see where it's going, baby. Yeah. I started throwing ass, man.

Speaker 1:bad I'm being fluid They gonna throw ass to that Yo, this city is crazy, bro. I'm telling you.

Speaker 2:A lot of entendres in that. If I did good, go crazy. When you Tel Aviv, like there's a lot you can do.

Speaker 1:Tel Aviv. Tel Aviv. Tel Aviv. Really?

Speaker 3:Rhyming Tel Aviv with Tel Aviv is insane.

Speaker 2:And don't let Azealia Banks get on the remix.

Speaker 1:She's in Israel right now.

Speaker 3:Oh my God. We're into endangered territory, guys. Yeah.

Speaker 1:How? Everyone knows where the fuck we stand on that. Holy shit.

Speaker 3:I know. That's why we're in dangerous territory. I'm not afraid of the people that support us.

Speaker 1:I just think Mamdani has a moment to take something like that and turn it into some bars. Yeah. We just sat with Nas. Come on, man.

Speaker 3:He did what he was supposed to do. I think people are just really stupid.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:No, it's far left doing far left shit that I think is detrimental to the party.

Speaker 1:It's okay.

Speaker 3:Detrimental to the party.

Speaker 1:Yeah, you don't think that is?

Speaker 3:No, it was just the way you worded that. Damn. You sounded invested.

Speaker 2:Of course I am. It's fucking November's coming up. I know we say this every time. This is the fucking most important election.

Speaker 1:Let Alchemist do something with that beat.

Speaker 3:You want to be a rapper so bad. Me? I'm writing a verse to a single by. Bryson Tiller and Victoria Monet, you want to hop on it with me? We can go back and forth like Styles and Kiss.

Speaker 1:A lot of rappers think that they can go back. You know, everybody, whenever it's back and forth, Styles and Kiss, no, that's just, that's Styles.

Speaker 3:Maybe Tia and Tamera?

Speaker 1:I'm not, I never, that's one thing I am very self-aware, I could never rap. Tara, I tried maybe twice to write and I was just like, fuck this shit. You didn't give it a good try though.

Speaker 3:I think you're being hard on yourself. I think you afraid. You know what? It's your light, not your darkness that frightens you.

Speaker 1:I agree. What is that? You give that quote Batman? What is that? She just quoted Coach Carter. Where did you get that? It's a poem.

Speaker 3:It's literally a very famous poem.

Speaker 2:I just remember the Spanish kid and Coach Carter just stands up in study hall and just starts reciting it.

Speaker 1:He did. He did. The kid with the ponytail. Samuel L.

Speaker 2:Jackson kept grabbing him in the middle of a fourth quarter. What's your deepest fear, young man? I'm trying to win a fucking basketball game. I'm trying to set a screen.

Speaker 3:It's a quote from Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love, Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles.

Speaker 1:It's a famous section. Yeah. It's your light. Yeah.

Speaker 3:What's your biggest fear? Your biggest fear is not that you're inadequate. Your biggest fear is that you're powerful beyond measures.

Speaker 1:That's not my biggest fear. That's your biggest fear in the rap game.

Speaker 3:In the rap game, for sure.

Speaker 1:That I'm powerful beyond measure. Imagine somebody told you my biggest fear. Get out of your own way. My biggest fear is I'm powerful beyond measure. What? Come on, man.

Speaker 2:You think Yeet's first verse was great? Nah, he put the work in. You could be Yeet.

Speaker 1:That's true. I could be. Not anymore, but I probably could have been.

Speaker 3:You could have been yeet?

Speaker 1:Well, not yeet, but I could have been. Your generation's yeet. Not my generation. I could have been. You said meet?

Speaker 3:Well, I didn't think about it because I just took the M from mall.

Speaker 1:Nah, you shouldn't do that though. You should never do that again. I wasn't thinking. Yeah, never do that again.

Speaker 3:It came out faster than I thought.

Speaker 1:Don't do that again. Don't take the M from mall and put it anywhere else. Leave it right there, mall. Thank you very much. There's so much with the marketing that you can do though. Yeah, I'm cool. Put you in a butcher shop? No, Benny. We have Benny for that. Let Benny do the butcher shop thing. Oh, God.

Speaker 2:I saw this on the timeline. Somebody posted the Billboard Hot 100 October 4th, 2003. And I thought maybe that could be fun each month of us just going back. Maybe we do 06 just since it's 2026, just to see what the charts were 20 years before that. We were so spoiled in October of 2003. Who's that? Beyonce, Sean Paul, number one? Baby Boy, Shake Your Tail Feather, Nelly, Diddy, Murphy Lee, Classic. That's Peej's favorite rapper. I know Peej was going crazy in 04.

Speaker 1:Right there, Chingy. Get low, little Johnny side boys. Fronton. Pharrell Jay-Z. Fab.

Speaker 2:Tamia or Ashanti. I love that they put both at this time.

Speaker 1:So into you. P-I-M-P 50. Where's the love?

Speaker 2:Black Eyed Peas. That was the first far left Democratic song of all time.

Speaker 1:Wait, what list is this?

Speaker 3:Scroll up so you can get the exact name.

Speaker 1:The Billboard Hot 100. October. This was the Hot 100? 2003.

Speaker 2:That's how spoiled we were. Young Bloods, Lil Jon, Damn. Matchbox 20, Unwell. Great classic rock record. Crazy in Love, Beyonce, Jay-Z. why don't you and I I'm.

Speaker 1:Not crazy I'm just a little well.

Speaker 2:I that was my shit right there miss the alternative rock um can't hold us down Christina Aguilera Lil' Kim stand up ludicrous can't stop won't stop young guns featuring Maul uh here without you three doors down another classic Maya my love is like whoa uh Shanti rain on me like look baby bash Frankie J sugar sugar Maul you wasn't outside.

Speaker 3:Oh it's five o'clock somewhere Jimmy Buffett.

Speaker 1:Sorry This was the top 20. This is the greatest playlist I've ever seen. That's wild. That's Billboard. That much rap being on there is wild.

Speaker 3:But you know what? You don't want to know why. If you scroll up, and this is, I've been saying that this formula is missing in rap, and this is where we fucked up for the longest. I'm not going to say who this blame is, but we all know who is to blame. Why people don't sing, why people stop letting R & B singers sing the hooks? Almost all of these have R & B singers.

Speaker 1:Whose fault is that?

Speaker 3:R & B and rap.

Speaker 1:Who told you they stopped?

Speaker 3:They don't do that. No, that's not the- Well, the rappers try to do it now. The rappers sing their own hooks. It's fucking up the songs because they can't fucking sing.

Speaker 1:I agree. They still have a lot of R & B artists singing the hooks though.

Speaker 2:I mean, listen, as much as I do like that song structure has changed a bit where it's not just 16 hook, 16 hook.

Speaker 3:It was a proven formula.

Speaker 1:I do fucking miss that a little bit. Yeah, it was a proven formula.

Speaker 2:Like here's, let's just get a great producer, a pretty girl that could sing an incredible hook and insert verse here. We'll gift you in the studio. Just rap about love in a very generic way. We don't know who you're talking about. Super open-ended and let's call it a fucking day.

Speaker 1:I mean, and too, you know, this is before streaming as well, so.

Speaker 2:Yeah, I mean, obviously with radio politics there, of course it helps. But with all that said, you can't name me a song on here that's not incredible. Sometimes politics are right. Like, yes, you heard Baby Boy 10,000.

Speaker 1:Times a day.

Speaker 2:Because Baby Boy was an amazing song. Baby Boy was fucking incredible. There's not a bad song on here.

Speaker 1:Right there being three, like you're saying.

Speaker 3:Right there was a huge song.

Speaker 1:A certified hit. I'm sorry, all of these songs.

Speaker 3:Yeah, because rap was running everything.

Speaker 1:It was. Right Third was number three. Did that ever go number one? Maybe. It had to. If Beyonce and Sean Paul were number ones, Right Third had to be number one record.

Speaker 2:I think you're underestimating how big Sean Paul was at that time.

Speaker 3:It peaked at number two.

Speaker 1:Oh, shit.

Speaker 3:It was blocked by Crazy in Love.

Speaker 1:God damn it, Beyonce. God damn it.

Speaker 2:And I mean, shit, if there's one thing, Jay's going to keep a great feature. He's all over this billboard shit with just features. Fronting, crazy in love.

Speaker 3:Yeah.

Speaker 1:Can't stop, won't stop with my shit.

Speaker 3:But I remember like that get low, that Lil Jon, that that was in every white comedy show. Like that song that.

Speaker 1:Every dance scene That's the pre That's the pregame anthem right.

Speaker 3:There He said ready to get fucked up tonight.

Speaker 1:Get low is the pregame You played it at the dorm room when you about to pregame Get low? Come on, you know they was putting a brood on to that.

Speaker 2:And he cornered the market with the whites for years. Even when I was in college, it was shot, shot, shot, shot, shot, shot, shot, shot. Little John had a run, run.

Speaker 1:Little John aimed for that pocket right there. Let me get the kids, the white kids in college. You know, we don't want to put the N-word in here too much so they can, you know, sing along. Yeah, he's right there.

Speaker 2:But he was very good at, everyone loved those records. They just so happened to also cross over a little bit later. Maybe Shots was definitely for the Jersey Shore, but Get Low, and there was another joint.

Speaker 1:The Youngbloods, damn.

Speaker 2:Yeah, the whites liked it, but I don't think they were in there making something.

Speaker 1:For the whites. Yeah.

Speaker 3:Like, where is the love was made for the whites?

Speaker 1:Where's the love? For Black Eyed Peas? That was Jimmy Iovine's fault.

Speaker 3:There was a song called P.I.N.P. that was number seven. on the billboard. Number six, like we used to be a proper country. Ryan, can you do me a favor and pull up the current billboard and we're going to just look at the top 50 songs and we're going to see if anybody knows a lyric from any of them. You ready?

Speaker 1:Sure.

Speaker 3:Yeah, let's scroll. Taylor Swift, Ella Langley, Taylor Swift is the next seven songs.

Speaker 1:Well, let's start at number one. Is that a new Taylor Swift song?

Speaker 3:Yeah, I think she just released the album. yeah she has a new album so she'll be at the top for the next.

Speaker 2:Yo she puts out music like fucking no limit you she has another album you would too if you made as much money as she did off of it no i'm here to give her credit because obviously she's the biggest artist and her fans deem it as super high quality music to have that type of output what like when was her last album was what a year ago Yeah, when was.

Speaker 3:The life of a showgirl? I think a year and a half ago.

Speaker 2:She just came off tour just to see Travis at fucking training camp.

Speaker 3:2025. A year ago, exactly.

Speaker 1:That's wild.

Speaker 2:That's not like only like her and Drake have that type of output. Like that's very rare.

Speaker 1:Holy shit.

Speaker 3:And look what they have in common. They're both the two of the biggest artists in their genre. That's that consistency being key is not bullshit. Like we can all appreciate quality when it takes a long time, of course, but being constantly in the algorithms and constantly on them playlists, it does help you with your relevancy.

Speaker 2:Well, I mean, I think that was what definitely put Drake over the, hump if you will like he was so consistent and then like by the third album it was like he's still putting out this quality this quick that says something um but okay i don't know patient zero i'll have to dig into this i.

Speaker 1:Think paula dracula is my shit how it go.

Speaker 3:That's that shit uh.

Speaker 1:I'm tapped out.

Speaker 4:Yeah.

Speaker 3:Did you get to 50 yet? Oh, I know Midnight Sun by Zara Larson at 18.

Speaker 1:Well, I know Choose in Texas at 2.

Speaker 3:Did you know Choose in Texas before Drake remixed it?

Speaker 1:Yeah. You did?

Speaker 3:I had never heard that song before Drake remixed it.

Speaker 2:I had never heard that song. Oh, I love thanks to TikTok. Cinderella's up at 40. I'd love to see that.

Speaker 3:Oh, that's dope. Okay. Drake has Jada Shut the Fuck Up at 22.

Speaker 2:Janae and Kendrick So Good at 42. okay uh cardi with aha 41 not bad that's not bad oh hey belly gang number 50.

Speaker 3:Oh tim's what you need is 30 i didn't know that that's doing that's wow that's doing very well i.

Speaker 1:Mean it only peaked at 29.

Speaker 3:But even still i didn't expect it to crack top 50 not because it's not good but just because okay yeah so we know about seven of the songs in the top 50 Well, we knew damn near every single song in the, what the fuck on, it's 50.

Speaker 1:I love that, that, that belly gang. Me too. Shout out to belly gang, man.

Speaker 3:Shout out to belly gang, Cushington.

Speaker 1:I think, I could see that hitting the 30s eventually. It's only going up.

Speaker 2:And if, listen, I haven't talked to Justice about this, but if they milk that belly gang and Angel Reese relationship, he out of here. Even, even if that's fake and they just friends, they gotta, they should stick with that.

Speaker 3:I think angel reese is like in a public like relationship though with another basketball player oh damn yeah i was about.

Speaker 2:To say let's not do that they was just walking through the tunnel together they look great that's dope she came up to him on court side to say hi and shit like yeah they know the record she know belly he performed at this at the game oh she know belly.

Speaker 3:Everybody know what the fuck going and you know she's on atlanta dream atlanta dream right sure yeah You're a piece of shit.

Speaker 1:Why am I a piece of shit?

Speaker 4:Sure.

Speaker 1:I'm a Liberty fan.

Speaker 3:Oh, they beat the Liberty last night?

Speaker 1:Damn.

Speaker 3:Fuck Atlanta.

Speaker 1:Damn, we had a rough day. Yankees and the Liberty. Fucking stankies.

Speaker 3:The stankies is funny as hell.

Speaker 1:Fucking stankies, man.

Speaker 3:I've never heard them be called that before.

Speaker 1:We've never been swept before. Actually, we have been. We have, but... Every time they swept, they called the stankies.

Speaker 4:Yeah.

Speaker 3:Niggas should have went and watched their baby be born.

Speaker 1:Yeah, probably right, baby D. Probably was better off going to do that. Scumbag.

Speaker 2:Like, what type of man would just skip over the mountain instead of seeing your kid?

Speaker 1:What type of piece of shit?

Speaker 3:See how karma work?

Speaker 1:What type of piece of shit? We would never tell him to go do that. I would. I would tell him to do that.

Speaker 2:Do you think Aaron Boone is gone?

Speaker 1:Yeah. First... First one to have a losing record in the postseason. Yeah, I think he's out of there. As the Yankee manager. Yeah. It's time.

Speaker 2:I mean, Peach thinks he's loved by the front office. Once you hit a losing record and you're the first one to ever do that.

Speaker 1:He can still be loved by the front office, but it's like we got to get some new energy. You're milking that home run against the Red Sox a little too much at this point. Yeah. That deal's done. It's time. Let's get some new blood in the clubhouse and shake things up a little bit. How old is Joe Torre?

Speaker 3:Nah.

Speaker 1:He's not coming. He can't come back. He can't do that. I know one name. Who? It's time. Cheater? It's time. He's still invested with the Marlins though, right? No, he sold. He did? It's time. It's time. Come on back to the Bronx, Derek. With the number two. Yeah, come on, man. Come on. Come back to the Bronx, man. I think it's time. It's time. If he sold his stake in the Marlins, it's time. Come on. Come on, man. Come on. Maybe suit up. Listen. Not too much, bro. Listen. I'm just saying. He might be able to do something there in that slot is all I'm saying. Got fucking rookie shortstops here. Damn stanky. It's all right, though. We'll be back.

Speaker 2:You got any plans this weekend?

Speaker 1:I'm supposed to be going to some event. I forgot the name of it, though. Loyon was telling me about it. He was like, I should go. I think it's Sunday. Okay. I forgot what it is, though.

Speaker 3:You see how long I can get this nigga out of the house on the weekend? That's crazy.

Speaker 1:We got invited to something on Saturday. I won't tell you what it is. I don't know if I'll be able to go because I need to get a babysitter. Oh, yes. That, too. You gonna go? Yes, I am. Yo, you're a... He can't wait. I can't wait to go. I already laid out his fit. Don't do that. My fit is hanging in the closet with the sneakers on the floor right next to it.
