Speaker 1:Hi, Sabrina.

Speaker 2:Hey, Will.

Speaker 3:We're getting to that time. We're getting to that time of year where I have to shut off all my lights.

Speaker 1:And make sure none of the ratty kids come to my house. You looking forward to Halloween? I am.

Speaker 2:I still, this next weekend is going to be the first of me even thinking about it at all. I have not planned anything. Usually I've got locked and loaded, but that is just not this year for me. when it comes to Halloween. So we're going to be sussing out what costumes we're going to be this year, but I will probably bring back what we wore to the world's collide tour. I killed it on Monroe's costume. Her pink costume was so good without it being like the Amazon version of the costume that you could just purchase.

Speaker 3:So wait, I'm sorry for all of our, all of our beautiful listeners out there.

Speaker 1:And by that, I'm talking about me.

Speaker 3:The world's collide tour is the one it's the zombies and, and they fight to the death and only one is alive at the end.

Speaker 1:Yes.

Speaker 2:It's a whole deal. It's basically like, you know.

Speaker 1:So which, which, which actors survive. They, everybody else has killed.

Speaker 2:They actually all just got sick. It's crazy.

Speaker 1:Nice. So wait, is it all the actual people from the movie? Like the stars of.

Speaker 2:Descendants and Leah money. We had Malachi. I mean, um, It seemed like there was like kind of three from each. It felt like there was three from Descendants, three from Camp Rock, and three from Zombies is what I think it ended up being.

Speaker 3:Okay.

Speaker 1:Now, did you go to have fun or did you go for work?

Speaker 2:I went for fun. I went for fun. This was Monroe's first concert, so it was all about the memories and making it as best as I can. I screwed up. Even though I tried my hardest, I totally remember this with our concerts, but the merch sells out like fast. This merch line, Will, was unbelievable. And so I got to do like a behind the scenes type thing. They have like a VIP option that you can do when you go in. The kids are on the stage. You get to walk by. You don't really get to like give them, like take a picture with them. You stand like down below. in the seats or whatever. But, um, you know, then they, they do a little bit of a sound check, which is like two or three songs.

Speaker 2:Then you sit down and they're, they do like a small little Q and a, um, and then you're done. And it, it was, it was cool.

Speaker 1:Was this in like a theater? Was this in like an amphitheater?

Speaker 2:Honda center. So an arena.

Speaker 1:Wow.

Speaker 3:Yeah.

Speaker 2:There's probably, I'd say like somewhere between like a hunt, like around a hundred people that were doing the VIP thing. But the worst part was, That started at like four and the show's not till seven and you can't leave. So then we were like in the arena, we got food, but there was nowhere to sit. So we like Monroe was just sitting on the ground. Like it just, that part was a little like, I wish we could have gone somewhere and like just gotten one went and gone to dinner after. And of course, cause that drained her a bit.

Speaker 4:Right.

Speaker 2:So by the time seven came, drained mom. I was like, Jordan, I think I got an hour in me. I think that's all I got.

Speaker 1:Wow. And I'm going to get through camp rock one and I got to go home.

Speaker 2:Seriously. And this show and now Lisa, our producer, Lisa had warned me, but I did not believe that it was going to, it was nine 40 that I looked at Jordan. I was like, she has school tomorrow. I have to do my podcast. Like, wow. So we didn't end up getting to stay to the very end. I'm sure I'm hoping it wrapped up shortly after, but Yeah, I.

Speaker 1:Oh, OK.

Speaker 2:It was a deal. But and then getting ready. But she loved her outfit. And I put pink little clip in extensions and sparkle ones in her hair. She felt like just. That's the best.

Speaker 3:Well, I'm so I'm so happy to now have adult friends because when I hear things like, oh, I screwed up. When I went to the concert last night, the merch line was so long. That's so much nicer to hear than my old friends who would be like, I screwed up. I took way too much acid and passed out at the concert.

Speaker 1:And I missed. Yeah, it's like so nice to hear.

Speaker 2:Jordan was like, look how like the merch line is insane. Look at the bar line. There's not there's like two people in the bar line. Like that's a huge difference at a kid's concert versus when you go and get a drink at your, at a, an adult.

Speaker 3:Yeah. You probably don't want to be the drunken person like yelling.

Speaker 2:At the group of ladies in front of me that were getting at it with, they were, I mean, they were up. It was so funny, but it was a good show. I, you know, there's certain things that I feel like I, the hard part with it, there was really no storyline. It was just like, song after song. And they, they, they just kind of kept coming on and off stage. It wasn't, there wasn't anything necessarily to follow. And because there's so three different movies that they're pulling from.

Speaker 2:And they, they also are pulling from like, not just this last latest zombie movie. Like they're, they're doing.

Speaker 1:The first zombie music.

Speaker 2:So it was like, that was the only thing for me as like somebody who like has worked in that world and like helped artistically direct our tours and our shows. That was a little bit hard for me. I didn't feel like I really a hundred percent, even though we've seen them all, I just felt like I need to be a little bit bigger of like a crazy fan to like follow how this is working, I guess.

Speaker 1:God, she sounds like an awful way to spend a night.

Speaker 2:No, it was so fun. And seriously, Will, just watching her little face, she doesn't.

Speaker 1:Know all the songs. Yeah, if you're a kid, it must be fun. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:When the very intro to, you know, the Wicked one, which is her favorite, you know, Wicked Wonderland, when it comes into, you know, Perfect Princess, I mean, her eyes and then watching the older girls around us when Malachi came out.

Speaker 3:Whoa.

Speaker 1:Rock star. Rock star.

Speaker 2:I messaged her, his mom, because, you know, Felicia, she came on our show and I messaged her. I got to see her when we were at the VIP thing. I got to chat with her for a bit. But I messaged her and I was like, he's a star. Like, this is wild. As a mom to mom, I am so happy and excited for you because that must be just incredible to watch your son up there just like, I mean, wooing the crowd. It was wild, Will.

Speaker 3:Well, that is amazing. And I'm glad I missed it for.

Speaker 2:A number of reasons.

Speaker 1:You would have died.

Speaker 2:It would have been so funny to watch you struggle.

Speaker 3:Again, if you have a kid, it's probably a lot of fun. If I'm there by myself or with my wife. Something's gone horribly wrong.

Speaker 2:Jordan was somewhere in the middle. When she was having fun, he was great.

Speaker 3:Sure.

Speaker 2:When she wasn't like, when she was kind of sitting down, he was like looking at his watch.

Speaker 1:Yeah. Oh, I know. Tell him to call me. I'll come pick him up next time.

Speaker 2:Yeah, next time you'll have to.

Speaker 1:Come grab him. I'll come grab him.

Speaker 3:Well, thank you everybody for joining us and welcome back to Magical Rewind, the show that makes you want to grab your friends, your PJs, and your popcorn and go back to a time when all the houses were smart, the waves, tsunamis, and I didn't have to go to concerts like that, which is an amazing time.

Speaker 1:I'm Will Friedle.

Speaker 2:And I'm Sabrina Bryan.

Speaker 3:Okay, so we're only halfway through one of Disney Channel's most beloved franchises, so what better time to head back to Halloween Town than the spookiest month of the year.

Speaker 1:It's October. God, is it October already? It's October.

Speaker 3:And we're keeping things as— it' s going to be 2038 before you know it. And we're keeping things as creepy as possible by jumping into the third installment, 2004's Halloween Town.

Speaker 1:Hi!

Speaker 3:Were you excited to return to the old Halloween Town?

Speaker 2:I was nervous when we talked about it the last podcast we did and we said this was coming up. I thought this was the one that our girl wasn't in. So I was a little nervous.

Speaker 1:I felt happy that she was there, though.

Speaker 2:And then I saw the main picture and I was like, wait, because she looks young in that one. And then she pops on and I'm like, oh, okay.

Speaker 1:This is going to be easy.

Speaker 3:Yep.

Speaker 1:The highly anticipated threequel. Thank you. I'm going to say that a lot today. Take a shot every time I say threequel.

Speaker 3:Premiered October 8, 2004, predictably in a programming lead up to Halloween, a tradition for the channel at the time, and it was shot in Salt Lake City, of course, mostly at the Juan Diego High School, a private Catholic institution that was surprisingly open to having dark witchcraft portrayed around their classrooms, but that does explain all the hallway scenes with posters on the walls because they were placed there to block anything even slightly religious, and camera angles were positioned to avoid any of the religious statues.

Speaker 2:And this is different than when they filmed the other ones.

Speaker 1:Yeah, I think they went to a different spot.

Speaker 2:The first and the second one, they filmed the town itself that they filmed in was not Salt Lake City. And it was very cool. It's very.

Speaker 1:I think it was a small... Yeah, it was a small town. It was in Oregon.

Speaker 2:It was in Oregon.

Speaker 1:Yes, there we go.

Speaker 2:Okay, I don't know why I thought.

Speaker 1:Because I think they still do like.

Speaker 3:Remember, they were talking about they had like parties there and they still do Halloween stuff there.

Speaker 2:It's still like an ongoing thing every year.

Speaker 1:Yeah, well, no. They're in Salt Lake for this one.

Speaker 2:Changed it up.

Speaker 3:If you or anybody you know is interested in the lore of Halloween Town, first, good for you.

Speaker 1:Secondly, we do see some big changes for the third entry.

Speaker 3:In the first two movies, Gwen does not like to use her magic and here for high school.

Speaker 1:She seems to have accepted it. Another very big change.

Speaker 3:Sophie, who I completely forgot existed entirely, appears only four times in this movie and doesn't use any of her magic. And it's been said that it wasn't anything personal. They just thought she looked too old and the audience wouldn't recognize her.

Speaker 1:Yikes.

Speaker 3:Also, we've learned that it's seriously like the whole movie is going on around her. And she's like, hey, where'd you guys go? You doing you doing magic? What's going on?

Speaker 1:I was like, who is that? Yeah, it's like, oh, that's right. She had a little sister.

Speaker 2:She had a little sister. But so is this saying it was recasted?

Speaker 1:No, that was her.

Speaker 2:That was her.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:She does look very different.

Speaker 1:I didn't recognize her at all.

Speaker 2:I completely forgot the character existed.

Speaker 1:I was like, who is that?

Speaker 2:Her little brother definitely looked older and.

Speaker 1:Different, but you could tell it was him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I had no idea who that was.

Speaker 2:She looked like, I thought they recasted her.

Speaker 1:Me too. I did. I forgot the character existed at all.

Speaker 4:Wow.

Speaker 3:Yeah.

Speaker 1:Also, we have learned that.

Speaker 3:Possibly the most lucrative job in Halloween Town might be owning a moving company. Because in Halloween Town 2, the family moved into a new house, and then they appeared to move once again for this third movie. Yeah.

Speaker 1:So I'd like to know what bank is giving out all these witch loans.

Speaker 3:And as you can probably predict, Halloween Town is available now to stream on the Disney of the Plus, as are all of the Halloween Town movies. You can check it out before or after our recap, but let me give you a little piece of advice. If you encounter a bear in the woods, stop moving, stay calm, and never run away. Or just run faster than whoever you're with. That's really the most important thing you can take away from this podcast. Only run away if the person you're with is slower than you. Now it is time for the synopsis. A 16-year-old witch, Marnie Piper, persuades the Halloweentown Witches Council to let a group of magical exchange students attend her.

Speaker 1:Mortal high school. Sabrina, what'd you think of Halloweentown High?

Speaker 2:This one didn't end up being my favorite, but there were definitely moments that I liked. She was just phenomenal. Like, I could watch her all day. I just love, I really love watching her. This movie wasn't my favorite except for watching her.

Speaker 1:I think that was a very, very nice way of saying it. Yes, I agree. She's great.

Speaker 3:The cast is great. The movie wasn't just this. The story was weird. None of it kind of made any sense. The twist wasn't very good.

Speaker 2:The love interest with Debbie.

Speaker 1:It was all it was all weird.

Speaker 2:Yeah.

Speaker 1:Yeah. This was this movie seemed.

Speaker 3:Thrown together, which I'm sure it wasn't because there's obviously some great effects and that kind of stuff, especially for the channel.

Speaker 1:But the movie itself, like the actual story was like, wait, what?

Speaker 2:Yeah.

Speaker 3:Anyway, the movie was directed by Mark A.Z. Dippy, who is a visual effects legend. He worked on movies like Terminator 2, Jurassic Park and Back to the Future 2, then transitioned into directing. His first film was Spawn in 1997. Then he made a movie we all know very well, the DCOM Pixel Perfect. And just recently, he was behind the camera for 2022's Marmaduke, starring Pete Davidson and J.K.

Speaker 4:Simmons.

Speaker 3:Well, let's get into that amazing cast we talked about. Let's start with our returning stars, who are some DCOM legends in their own right.

Speaker 1:Kimberly J.

Speaker 3:Brown, my friend, plays Marnie. She's a former Magical Rewind guest. She was just at my birthday party.

Speaker 2:Love her.

Speaker 3:Kimberly had already starred in three Broadway shows by the age of nine and got an Emmy nomination at 11. We also saw her as the star of Quint, a really kind of weird DCOM we reviewed a while back. And this one is her last Halloween Town. She doesn't appear in the fourth one, so on the fourth one. Fun, very cute trivia here in 2024. Kimberly married Daniel Kutz, who was also at my party and a good guy, who she met on the set of Halloween Town 2.

Speaker 1:He played Cal. They reunited more than a decade later and fell in the love.

Speaker 2:Also a interview for us.

Speaker 1:Yeah. We're killing it. We're killing it over here with the interviews.

Speaker 2:Love it. He was funny.

Speaker 1:He was funny. He was great.

Speaker 3:And one half of the reason we say big guest stars are in the Dabney Reynolds chair, Debbie Reynolds plays Aggie Cromwell, arguably the biggest star to ever appear in a DCOM, at least in a channel franchise. She had a Hollywood career that lasted 70 years. She starred in movies like Singing in the Rain, How the West Was Won, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, which she was an Oscar nominee for. And memorably, she co-starred in Mother, a great movie with Albert Brooks. A former cabaret performer later opening her own legendary dance studio in L.A., she was Tony-nominated, Emmy-nominated, and somehow owned her own Las Vegas casino.

Speaker 1:Yikes.

Speaker 2:I did not know the casino.

Speaker 1:That's crazy.

Speaker 3:Debbie Reynolds passed away in 2016 at the age of 84 one day after the death of her daughter, Carrie Fisher, better known as Princess Leia. Also worth noting, Reynolds actually does appear in all four Halloween Town movies. Also in all four of the movies and another past podcast, Judith Hogue returns as Gwen Piper. You've seen her on TV shows like Quantum Leap, Roseanne and Melrose Place, and blockbuster films like Armageddon and the greatest film of all time, the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, where she played April O'Neil. Emily, I want to say this right, Emily Roski returns as Sophie Piper, apparently.

Speaker 1:It was not only her last Halloween town, it was her last acting gig.

Speaker 3:And then we got Joey Zimmerman as another four-timer returning as Dylan Piper. And yes, that is Lucas Grable as Ethan Piper.

Speaker 1:This was his film debut.

Speaker 3:He later played Ryan Evans in a little Disney franchise called High School Musical.

Speaker 1:And for anybody who lives near me in the San Fernando Valley, Gray.

Speaker 3:Beal was working at the Sherman Oaks blockbuster video when he auditioned for this movie, then returned to the clerk position again after he was done filming and only left the position after High School Musical exploded. And he had that kind of success. So imagine seeing this movie and then going and renting it from him. And Finn Wittrock, who plays Cody, rose to fame with his breakout roles in the 2014 film Unbroken and FX's American Horror Story Freak Show, where his performance as, I love this name, Dandy Mott.

Speaker 1:Dandy Mott, I could say that all day, earned him an Emmy nomination.

Speaker 3:He went on to become a frequent collaborator of producer Ryan Murphy, appearing in projects including Ratcheted and The Assassination of Gianni Versace, American Crime Story, as well as films like The Big Short.

Speaker 1:And La La Land.

Speaker 3:With three Halloween Town movies in the can, there is absolutely no reason why they have to make it any longer than 90 minutes. We are 100% sure that no film has to be longer or, honestly, shorter. Everything can be achieved in exactly an hour and a half. So where does Halloween Town High shake out? Drumroll, please, but let's make it a fast drumroll because it's only 83 minutes. That's on the right side of history, but not what we hoped for. As much as you might think we love sub-90, we actually think those seven minutes can probably do a lot for the story. I mean, again, thankful it's short, but let's just aim for the target next time, everyone.

Speaker 3:And it's written by a name we've encountered many times before, a bit of a legend himself, Dan Berenson. He was an executive producer and writer who helped create Sabrina the Teenage Witch for TV and went on to have writing credits.

Speaker 1:On a ton of DCOMs.

Speaker 3:Camp Rock 2, Cheetah Girls 2, Twitches 2, The Scream Team, Stuck in the Suburbs, Up, Up and Away, Hannah Montana the movie, The Wizards of Waverly Place.

Speaker 1:I had to take a breath. And the underrated Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off. Quite an insane resume and we have to have him on.

Speaker 3:Yeah. So with that said, let's get into our film. We open on a lit candle inside a jack-o'-lantern, and we hear a man's voice.

Speaker 4:For a thousand years, the worlds divide. Creatures of magic in Halloween Town reside. Witches and goblins forced to take flight, driven away by evil Iron Knights.

Speaker 1:But the era is over. The worlds reunite. The portal is open, but not without a fight.

Speaker 3:And then he creepily laughs over the image of an unsheathed knight.

Speaker 1:Very strange. We then find ourselves in Marnie's house. This is the other thing. I'm sorry.

Speaker 2:That was great.

Speaker 1:Thank you. I appreciate it. Thank you. Favorite part. With movies like.

Speaker 3:This, I don't like when they introduce lore that's supposed to have been around forever and nobody explains. Why would they have never, as the mom, never have mentioned the mythical knights that try to kill?

Speaker 1:You know what I mean? It's like I get adding a new kind of thing and a new danger. I love that.

Speaker 3:But it seems like this is a big one that, the mom would have said one of the reasons I don't want her to go there is because.

Speaker 1:The knights are still trying to kill everybody.

Speaker 2:Yeah.

Speaker 1:But I get it. It's a Disney movie. I'm getting more into just going, you know what? It's a Disney movie.

Speaker 3:That is when we find ourselves in Marnie's house. Marnie, her mom, Grandma, Aggie, Sophie, apparently, and Dylan are all in the living room discussing how Marnie was summoned to the council. Grandma Aggie is concerned. What is she going to say? A riled up Marnie doesn't get it. She opened the portal to save the entire world. She should be getting a parade, not getting punished. She thinks the council doesn't like the idea of letting Halloween Town kids go to a traditional human school because of their fear and ignorance. She's just trying to bring a little harmony to the universe. And then a portal appears and drags her to an ominous courtroom. She is now standing in front of five intense council members, including a mummy and a pumpkin head. She asks if she can say some words in her defense, but the council stops her. She's nothing to defend. They actually want to thank her. She saved Halloween Town. It's the least they could do. They mention her proposal to send a dozen Halloween Town students to a human high school and admit if the portal is open, they might as well use it. But some

Speaker 3:of the council members are still deeply concerned about the safety of the magical creatures due to the legends of the Knights of the Iron Dagger.

Speaker 1:And this is the first time we're really hearing this.

Speaker 3:Marnie says times have changed and the entire Cromwell family will protect them. And as a result, she accidentally bets her entire family's magical abilities that her plan will succeed tomorrow. without incident, by midnight on Halloween. And with that, they approve the exchange program and the kids are coming to school. Once the dust settles, she's confused by what she just agreed to and is dragged back through the portal into her house again. Marnie's explaining the predicament and apologizing for betting their magic. Grandma Aggie blames Marnie's mom for not properly training Marnie and her mother, in turn, blames her grandma.

Speaker 3:Marnie suggests they just cancel the exchange program, but Aggie is adamant to keep it alive. They have to show people they have nothing to be afraid of. They assume the knights are just a figment of everyone's imagination they're not real anyway it's just a story Halloween town parents tell to scare their kids just like the boogeyman which was a totally different T-Com we just watched yet outside the house we see a knight walking in the backyard and I thought I get why they have to do this because it's Disney. But I thought the knights were going to be like this underground mythical kind of like they wear a ring or a signet, something small.

Speaker 1:No, they're actually walking around in full suits of armor.

Speaker 2:Yes. Tinned suits.

Speaker 1:Clanking around.

Speaker 2:And not the greatest ones, I will also say.

Speaker 1:These are like Halloween costume tinned suits.

Speaker 2:This was Amazon purchase as well.

Speaker 1:Yes, exactly.

Speaker 2:I wasn't impressed with them at all.

Speaker 1:I agree.

Speaker 2:And I thought there was going to be like, when I think of knights, I think of like an army of them. Right.

Speaker 1:No, there's one guy in a suit.

Speaker 2:It was just one guy.

Speaker 1:A little underwhelming.

Speaker 3:Yeah, it's like, oh, hey, the knights of the Iron Knights are now dead.

Speaker 2:Yeah, I'm thinking there's going to be a war happening at the house.

Speaker 1:No, one guy. One guy in a suit that doesn't really fit him well. Yeah.

Speaker 3:Okay.

Speaker 2:No, go ahead. Yeah, I'm like, so which, never mind. It's not easy.

Speaker 1:It doesn't make any sense. I'll just wait. I'll just wait.

Speaker 3:The next morning, everyone in the kitchen is getting ready for their first day of school, and the exchange students, they're running late, and Dylan is worried his perfect attendance record will be ruined by his attempt at peace and harmony. Marty tries a spell to make bigger bathrooms for their guests and ends up shrinking their home for a few seconds, scaring some nearby joggers.

Speaker 1:Duh.

Speaker 3:It seemed like in this movie, by the way, Nobody gave a shit about trying to hide any of the magic.

Speaker 1:They're doing magic out in the streets. They're just... Everywhere. It was so weird.

Speaker 2:It was so strange because.

Speaker 3:Yeah, there was nothing circumspect about it. It was just like, magic, hey!

Speaker 2:And we're at it in a moment in a decom again where, like, no one is also... Like, there's also no one seeing it.

Speaker 3:No.

Speaker 1:No, it gets bonkers later, too, where I'm like, wait, what are you doing? What's going on? Nobody's caring about this? Yeah, so... Yeah, it scares some nearby joggers.

Speaker 3:The construction spell is a little too advanced for her, so her mom Gwen tries it and successfully creates a door that leads to the extra hallway and rooms. Meanwhile, Grandma calls and is running late. She'll meet them at school with the exchange students, and now the kids are worried she's going to show up in that giant flying school bus, which would have been cool. They rush off outside to the school. Dylan, Marnie, and their mom look to the sky for Aggie, but they don't see anything.

Speaker 3:Then a small orange car drives up and beeps. It's Grandma Aggie. Apparently two tiny leprechauns are manning the pedals because she doesn't know how to drive. And just then, a new student from Halloween Town named Cassie exits the car and asks Marnie if she's human because she's never met a human before. Marnie is concerned she can't greet humans like that. She has to assume everyone is human. And now here's my question. If Marnie's human, which she is, she's just a witch, but she's human, right?

Speaker 1:Right.

Speaker 3:Okay, so then isn't her grandma also human? So then Cassie, of course, has met a human because she was just driven there by one.

Speaker 1:Yes. Right? Can't you be human and a witch? Right.

Speaker 2:And also, I was confused why they looked so human at this moment.

Speaker 1:Right, right, right.

Speaker 2:That wasn't explained in any sense that they were going to show up in like... But it's... Yeah, it's... Disguises.

Speaker 1:It's good. I like how they did it, but it was still... I had the same feeling. Yeah.

Speaker 2:So I was going, wait, these are the monsters that are showing up. But what I'm saying is they all know they have disguises on to look like humans. So like, why... Why. So she knows what a human would look like.

Speaker 1:Right. So are you a human?

Speaker 3:Well, maybe she's asking, like, are you are you are you also somebody in costume? Oh, maybe that's what it is. She's like, are you are you hiding in plain sight to like me? Because you're meeting us.

Speaker 1:But it just.

Speaker 2:Didn't seem as thought out as I think it could have been or creative.

Speaker 1:I get you. I agree.

Speaker 3:Then, shockingly, another 11 regular students make their way out of the little clown car. Aggie introduces Marnie as their student advisor, and if anyone asks where they're from, say, Canada.

Speaker 1:So they're not human. They're Canadian. I'm kidding to all my Canadian friends.

Speaker 2:I was just in Canada. It's so beautiful there.

Speaker 1:Oh, it's a gorgeous place.

Speaker 3:Yeah, I love Canada.

Speaker 2:Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 1:Marnie emphasizes how important it is to blend in.

Speaker 3:She passes out class schedules, and with that, they all head into the unknown, and Aggie's leather bag crawls away like a big lizard.

Speaker 1:And I thought, frankly, the bag was one of the best. Like, the effects were great.

Speaker 3:Yes.

Speaker 2:And it just kept coming back and was always kind of like a little funny moment.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:I want one. I enjoyed this little lizard bag.

Speaker 3:I was thinking, I was like, this bag would have loved me. We're now inside the principal's office. Principal Phil Flanagan and his birdcage and Aggie are chatting about the new Canadian exchange students and how excited they all were to enroll. At the same time, her slithering little handbag is causing the bird to go crazy. So she decides to head to class for her new job as a teacher, apparently. Then we see the bag cough up bird feathers. Yes, right, people, there's.

Speaker 1:Been a birder.

Speaker 3:That is a bird murder for everybody playing along, by the way. Aggie sheepishly tells the principal she hopes he finds his bird, which she won't.

Speaker 1:It's dead. In the hallway.

Speaker 2:And we have our first death.

Speaker 3:The first death of Halloween Town High, that poor bird that hurt no one. Marnie is walking with the exchange students and accidentally grabs what she thinks is a student's tail, but it's a human cute boy sweater wrapped around his waist. She apologizes and he introduces himself as Cody. Today is also his first day at the school, but he's not from Canada and he asked to join the tour group. She lies and says it's part of her senior project to help exchange students find their way. And with that, the bell rings, they go their separate ways, and it's a perfect way to start the little meet cute by lying to him.

Speaker 1:Now we're in a classroom.

Speaker 3:Aggie is teaching science, apparently, and one student is being a total distraction. Frustrated, Aggie terrifies him with a scary face, again, just pulling out magic whenever they want.

Speaker 1:Her eyes and tongue pop out of her head and steam comes out of her ears. Was this scary?

Speaker 2:Yes.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:It, it reminded me of, doesn't something like this happen with the driver and Peewee Herman?

Speaker 1:Sure does.

Speaker 2:Peewee's big adventure. And that shit scared me so bad. I fast forward through that part many times when I was watching the movie, it was so scary.

Speaker 1:It was scary.

Speaker 3:It was.

Speaker 1:It was. It was. Pretty awesome. But yes, it reminded me of exactly the same thing.

Speaker 2:But also, yes, again, so I'm like, okay, so we legitimately, now this isn't just it being done with a group of people around. We're doing it to actual humans and then pretending like it didn't happen.

Speaker 3:In the middle of the day, in the middle of the classroom and nobody says anything. Everyone's like, that was weird.

Speaker 2:Yeah.

Speaker 1:The woman doing a face like that was weird.

Speaker 4:Yeah.

Speaker 1:So this is when I was like, ah, we're just throwing out kind of the rules. The rules out there.

Speaker 2:The rules are messy.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 3:Marnie enters and apologizes for being tardy and ends up sitting next to the new cute boy, Cody.

Speaker 1:So I'm going to say his name every time. Cody.

Speaker 3:Aggie starts explaining the day's experiments, then accidentally turns sulfur and iron into a green parrot. Again, just doing magic out in the open. The class gasps and Marnie runs up to the front of the class. Aggie tells her granddaughter she may have accidentally used a little magic. She says she'll be more careful and hands her a piece of paper instructing her where to meet. Marnie returns to her seat and tells Coyote that the teacher kind of fancies herself an amateur magician. Marnie hides a piece of paper in a book, but Coyote, I'll stop, of course does what any creepy guy does and reads over her shoulder to check out her note.

Speaker 1:And it's a combo of numbers.

Speaker 2:It's really got zero boundaries.

Speaker 3:Yeah, but it's also, I think they're trying to set it up to where you wonder if he's the bad guy.

Speaker 1:So it's like, I get what they're doing. We're now in the hallway.

Speaker 3:Marnie uses the numbers on the paper to unlock one of the lockers, but when she opens it, it's empty. We can also see she's being watched from afar, menacingly. And then Marnie gets pulled into the locker. It's revealed to be Grandma Aggie's who brought her to a spooky common room where all 12 of the exchange students are. One of the kids asks if he can take this off now, and Aggie says they're safe to. And with that, they all unzip their human disguises, revealing an ogre, a fairy, a werewolf, a cat, and even a troll. And these were very good practical and special effects with good disguises.

Speaker 1:Everybody looked great.

Speaker 3:And then we hear a loud banging and see a knight's hand trying to open the locker. Aggie blames the pipes and the students talk about how their day is going.

Speaker 1:So there's also just a knight walking around in the middle of the school. Exactly. In full knight armor.

Speaker 2:And not like a mythical knight. No. Not like who can blend into the walls or anything like that.

Speaker 1:Nope.

Speaker 3:Just a guy in full armor clanking his way down.

Speaker 2:The tin man is walking down the yellow brick road.

Speaker 1:Middle of school.

Speaker 2:Nobody cares. Nope.

Speaker 1:Nobody gives a shit.

Speaker 3:Back in the family's living room, Marnie is with Dylan on the couch telling her, hey, remember when we had a little sister?

Speaker 1:No, I'm kidding.

Speaker 3:Telling her and her family how great the day went. And she met a boy. He's new and, well, he might like her. Dylan suggests she snag him before he meets anyone else and Marnie retaliates by snapping her fingers and making him float to the ceiling. So now she's also a magical bully. Now in the kitchen, Aggie is looking for unicorn milk, which is really fattening. When her Halloween town phone rings, it's one of the councilmen.

Speaker 1:Attractive Edgar. That's how I like to call him.

Speaker 3:He reminded me a lot of, I bet he seemed to be based on, from the second, from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Lockhart, Professor Lockhart from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Marnie tells him the first day was amazing and he's happy to hear that, but he's worried about any signs of danger.

Speaker 1:All of Halloween Town is depending on this.

Speaker 3:After he hangs up and Marnie weighs out the pressure, the exchange student walks in and asks if they was talking about the knights. Marnie says yes, but they have nothing to worry about because the knights don't exist anymore except in the hallways of their own high school in Broaddale.

Speaker 1:Meanwhile, Dylan's still stuck in the ceiling and everyone leaves him there. Nice.

Speaker 3:The next day at school, while bringing the Halloween Town kids inside, Marnie bumps into Cody. He says he waited around for her after school, but she kind of disappeared. She blames a meeting she had, but is obviously pretty smitten herself. He starts to ask her out, but she's distracted by her grandma trying to get her attention from a nearby glass window. Frustrated, she interrupts Cody and darts off, leaving him confused. Why this guy's interested at this point?

Speaker 1:She just keeps bailing.

Speaker 3:Marnie walks into the classroom and wants to know what's wrong. She quickly notices an absolutely massive iron dagger painted on the walkway. You could see it from space. This would be very concerning for anyone who goes to the school. Actually, they probably shut down the school immediately. Aggie says it's the night's calling card. They do exist and they've arrived. Aggie asks Marnie what she knows about this new student, Cody. I don't know why all of a sudden Cody's the one who's being blamed, but Marnie isn't hearing it. And then she snaps her fingers to make it start raining just as the principal enters and asks if everything's all right.

Speaker 3:He can't believe it's raining. She snaps her fingers again and the rain stops. But bad news, Lizard Handbag is back. Marnie quickly grabs it as the principal reveals he's reassigning Aggie to the history department. Apparently there were multiple weird instances yesterday, including something with a llama. And it's like, what kind of school are you at where there's this, somebody just comes in and says, I'm a teacher. And now it's like, well, you're going to teach science. Now you're going to teach history. Now you're a math teacher.

Speaker 3:That's just not how it works. So, yeah, all this magic and they can't figure that out.

Speaker 1:Come on.

Speaker 2:With the instances that are going on, this magic situation, it wouldn't be we're just reassigning you to a different class. How does that fix anything? You have some weird new teacher that's got crap like that. Yeah, this was the problem.

Speaker 3:I think they could have gone... And should have gone way farther with the hiding the magic in front of everybody and how people are reacting when they do see it.

Speaker 1:Because this was just like, hey, it's weird. She just put a parrot. I mean, it's like, come on, do something more. Yes.

Speaker 3:Marnie and Aggie leave as the principal gazes out the window and the iron dagger is gone. But in response, the principal suspiciously smirks. And I was like, I already knew this guy was bad. You could tell right from the second.

Speaker 1:We met him.

Speaker 3:Later, we're now in the history classroom and Aggie begins a lecture about the Renaissance.

Speaker 1:Here was my other thing.

Speaker 3:Have they established that witches live hundreds and hundreds of years before? I don't remember this from the old one. Is she also supposed to be seven or 800 years old?

Speaker 2:Yes.

Speaker 3:Okay.

Speaker 1:I didn't remember that. My bad.

Speaker 3:Okay.

Speaker 1:Gotcha. So Cody throws Marnie a secret note that says, Hey, are you a witch? No, I'm kidding.

Speaker 3:It says, do you want to go out with me on Saturday? She turns around and mouths off. No, she actually mouths. Yes.

Speaker 1:And just as her grandma starts to reminisce about.

Speaker 3:Her time in previous centuries and embarrassed, Marnie puts a spell on the clock and time speeds up. The bell rings and the class is over. Okay, so nobody notices they've been in there for 30 seconds. Maggie overhears one mean girl making fun of Aggie and the exchange students, so she points her pencil at the bully's backpack, causing all of her notebooks and books to fall out.

Speaker 1:Cody saw it all and is very confused. Now this is how they should have done it for me.

Speaker 3:It's like little bits of magic that are happening under the radar that he's like catching on to like, did.

Speaker 1:She point and then the books fell? It's not like your bag is now a dog. You know what I mean?

Speaker 2:And nobody sees it. Nobody sees your bag crawling around with its lizard-like limbs.

Speaker 1:Right.

Speaker 3:And the face she makes and the parrot and all.

Speaker 1:It's like, come on.

Speaker 3:Yeah.

Speaker 2:I agree.

Speaker 1:Yeah. And I get why they're doing it.

Speaker 3:They want to show the special effects and stuff, but there's subtler ways of doing it in school.

Speaker 2:Also, I mean, it just doesn't... If they're not going to make a big deal out of these humans actually knowing that these monsters are there, because in my opinion, why are the monsters there if they're going to be hiding anyway?

Speaker 1:Right.

Speaker 2:You're trying to integrate monsters into the real world without telling anyone that they're actually... By hiding them as humans.

Speaker 3:Yeah.

Speaker 2:It's not making sense at all.

Speaker 4:No.

Speaker 2:The math isn't mathing. This is... I agree. This is not... Yeah.

Speaker 3:Why would this be a problem sending a bunch of monsters to a school if they're just going to look human the whole time?

Speaker 1:Then it's not a problem. No one would... There would be no danger.

Speaker 2:Or if everyone knows that monsters are there and that there is magic happening... The whole point is to show like, yes, I can do magic, but it's not hurting anyone.

Speaker 3:Right.

Speaker 1:I'm a totally normal person. Yes.

Speaker 2:Making this little solution turn into a green parrot. Who cares?

Speaker 3:I agree.

Speaker 2:It's not an evil parrot. It's just a parrot.

Speaker 1:Oh, evil parrots would be cool. It's a great band name too.

Speaker 3:Hello, everybody.

Speaker 1:We are Evil Parrot.

Speaker 3:We're now in the lunchroom where Cody runs into Marnie and asks if he's a fool for saving her a seat. She says no and asks if he's seen any of her exchange kids. He realizes he's never really seen them around, but then he does spot Cassie. Marnie tells him she's looking forward to Saturday and runs over to her Canadian pal who is intensely studying the pig-like eating habits of your average human. And then they head into the Magic Kid common area where everybody else is. And Marnie is shocked and tell him to all go out there and participate.

Speaker 3:She tells one boy werewolf Pete... To think fast and throws him an apple, he climbs up to the wall to catch it, so she suggests he should try out for the football team. She then tells Nancy the fairy about the gardening club, and now Ethan wants to be in the school play.

Speaker 1:A little nod to how theatrical he's going to be in High School Musical.

Speaker 3:Cassie suggests they make a booth for the Halloween carnival, and Aggie thinks they produce a haunted house.

Speaker 1:Everyone loves the idea, but we see.

Speaker 3:Someone might be hiding in the room's night-armored suit, Scooby-Doo style. Zoinks, like there's someone in that suit. Then we see a montage... so I'm going to start pronouncing it from now on. It's a montage, and you know I love them, of the kids signing up and participating in human school activities. Marnie watches Pete play football and catch the ball with his mouth. Ethan is killing it on stage auditioning for the school play. Cassie made a poster to, quote, visit the real Halloween, while all of the Halloweentown kids are starting to really fit in. But that damn dastardly Cody is still watching everything unfold from the balcony.

Speaker 1:And, oh, he might be bad. He wasn't. We knew where this was going.

Speaker 3:It is now Saturday at Marnie's house, and Cody arrives just as everyone is leaving. Marnie wonders what he's doing there, and Cody asks, you mean other than our date? Oh no, Marnie thought the date meant Saturday night. Like everyone else who's ever dated in the history of the world. Like, who shows up for a date at noon?

Speaker 1:No, no, no, that's wrong. Unless you're like.

Speaker 3:Unless you specifically say, let's hang out Saturday during the day, we'll go to the mall, we're going mini-golfing.

Speaker 1:If you say, do you want to go out with me Saturday, you mean Saturday night.

Speaker 2:Yeah, on a date.

Speaker 3:Always.

Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, yeah. You mean Saturday night. So that was weird. Come on, dude.

Speaker 3:Cody and Marty decide to go on the date tonight, like humans, as everyone else piles into the little car and heads off to the mall. And at this point, Cody is hardly even surprised by anything that can't be explained anymore. We're now at the mall, which kids out there nowadays, the mall was a place where all of us used to hang out when we were.

Speaker 2:It's coming back around.

Speaker 1:It's coming back, isn't it? I hear it's coming back, which is great.

Speaker 2:It is coming back around.

Speaker 1:Thank God.

Speaker 2:The mall life.

Speaker 1:Good. I also heard kids are on their phones less, but I don't believe that's accurate. I heard it on my phone.

Speaker 3:At the mall, Marty tells them this is the most human thing they can do.

Speaker 1:She describes mall culture. I just get a forehead slap.

Speaker 2:Like when you're not into a movie, you're just on another level. Like all this garbage.

Speaker 3:It's so good.

Speaker 1:Well, it's true.

Speaker 2:The level is just like an amp up and it's like there's I can't miss any of them. They're just too good, Will. I love it.

Speaker 1:Sorry, this wasn't for me.

Speaker 3:Yes, so she describes mall culture, then realizes the entire crew has wandered off, and we see the knight at the mall.

Speaker 2:Yeah, there's, like, interestingly, a lot of random knights standing there. Like, as if, like, oh, he could blend in.

Speaker 1:Yeah, exactly. Wait, did that knight move, or was it the other one? I mean, like, what?

Speaker 3:What?

Speaker 1:It's a knight.

Speaker 3:Just have him wear rings and show the ring. And you don't know who it is, but you know the knight's there. The whole gauntleted hand comes up. I'm like, wait, the dude took Orange Julius while wearing.

Speaker 1:His whole suit? Are you kidding me?

Speaker 2:You see him on the hot dog.

Speaker 1:Exactly. Trying to blend in.

Speaker 2:In his knight costume with the hat on top of it.

Speaker 1:No one will notice that. Is that hot dog on a stick? I mean, come on. He's eating a Mrs. Fields. Give me a break.

Speaker 2:Oh, gosh. Oh, God.

Speaker 1:A Mrs. Fields. If you ate it in that suit, the whole suit would just smell like cookies. That's how you do it.

Speaker 2:Or Cinnabon. Oh, God.

Speaker 3:One of my favorite jokes ever is, I forget what comedian says it, but he says, you know you are in a bad way when you're eating a Cinnabon at the airport you arrive at.

Speaker 1:So it's like.

Speaker 3:It's like not even like you're, you're home. You're a half hour from home. You're not even flying somewhere else. You're, you're there, but you stopped to eat a Cinnabon. He's like, that's when you know your life is bad. Brother Dylan and Natalie are playing an arcade game and they're very much hitting it off while, and this whole relationship was weird while Cassie is trying on hats and clothes and the boys are playing glow in the dark mini golf.

Speaker 3:Marnie is still with her grandma and thinking maybe she should just end things with Cody.

Speaker 1:Maybe because he showed up at noon. But then he followed her to the mall.

Speaker 3:He's excited to see her there kid-free, but Marnie says she can't leave her grandma alone.

Speaker 1:This guy's stalking her now. It's officially a red flag. Then the principal shows up and kisses Aggie on the cheek.

Speaker 2:What?

Speaker 3:She goes off of them and tells Marnie she'll meet her at the car. Nearby, all the exchange students stumble onto a scary Halloween store and are offended by how they're being portrayed in the human world. Then the school bullies arrive. And by the way, the main school bully, that guy's 30. I was like, yeah, it's like, are these supposed to be high school kids?

Speaker 1:Like that guy, that guy's got a wedding ring on.

Speaker 2:I'll just read it right now. It says, uh, who is this super senior grown man? Seriously.

Speaker 1:He's a 14th year senior.

Speaker 2:Super senior.

Speaker 3:Yeah, that guy had kids at the mall with him.

Speaker 1:Like, I'm going to kick your ass and then go pick my kid up. Yeah, I mean, crazy. That was nuts.

Speaker 3:But it leads to a pushing match between the Halloween town kids and these grown adults. A fight breaks out, and just before one of the bullies can really give it to him, the ogre removes his human skin and intervenes by throwing him 15 feet in the air.

Speaker 1:Another question.

Speaker 3:Can they not use their powers when they're dressed as humans? Because why couldn't he just grab the guy and throw him?

Speaker 2:I know that's also a thing that I wrote down as well. Like they're playing sports like the werewolves playing a sport so easily. But he's in his his human skin.

Speaker 1:So why couldn't the ogre just throw him?

Speaker 4:Yeah.

Speaker 1:Why do you need to blew up? Why couldn't he just throw it?

Speaker 2:I mean, the only thing you could do is stretch it as far as because they saw how they were being portrayed, they were like, let me show you what I really look like.

Speaker 1:Yeah, maybe that could do it.

Speaker 3:But I think it'd be scarier if some smaller kid came up to me and threw me 15 feet away.

Speaker 1:It would be like, who is that guy? Yeah, true.

Speaker 2:That's true.

Speaker 3:Meanwhile, Marnie and Cody are at the food court. She hears a scream and quickly gets up and runs toward it. On her way, she bumps into her grandma and spots hundreds of mall goers running for their lives. They notice a lot of purple smoke in front of the Halloween store, so Aggie uses magic to get rid of it, exposing tons of people who were locked inside of it. As the students have turned back to their supernatural forms, even Natalie the troll, who now argues with her love interest, Dylan.

Speaker 3:The kids tell Marty what happened, and they find a knight's dagger stabbed through a pumpkin. A disturbed Aggie tells everyone to run to the car, and we see one of the characters from the Halloween store, which is like this monster lion, laughing as they.

Speaker 1:kind of run away and i was like okay.

Speaker 3:So was this the same guy in the suit right is this was this the guy in the night suit and the thing what's happening a lot of this just didn't make sense to me later at marnie's house aggie and the students returned just in time to see a news report about the mall evacuation for a monster attack so they it wasn't even like an unknown thing happened at the mall it was like monsters yeah.

Speaker 2:It's like okay so now and so uh It also talked about the purple smokes. Suspicious purple smoke.

Speaker 1:Or something like that.

Speaker 3:Her mother then says the Halloween town council is waiting for Marnie upstairs. And she's quickly transported to the courtroom again. Marnie begs them to continue the program because they may never get this opportunity again. But the court believes the program needs to be shut down and the portal needs to close. They'll even let her family keep their magic. But she's defiant. She insists she'll prove them wrong about the humans. and adjourns the meeting herself. She's transported back to her room and flops on the bed. Later that night in Marnie's room, she's talking to her mother about how, if given the chance, she wouldn't have done anything differently.

Speaker 3:Her mom snaps over some hot chocolate, and then a marshmallow spider jumps into the cup.

Speaker 1:So are you then eating, like drinking spiders? Did this thing just kill itself? I didn't get it.

Speaker 2:Again, it's like this. It's like they have someone, a special effects person that's like, adding stuff just like almost randomly now.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 3:And it was like, so are they, I guess they couldn't have had the spider go over and like poop out little marshmallows. Cause that would have looked weird, but it's like, it kills itself, which is like, Oh, these are suicide, suicidal marshmallow spiders.

Speaker 2:I would not be eating the pooped out.

Speaker 1:No. Well, I mean, if a marshmallow could poop, I'd give it a try. Don't get me wrong. It's marshmallow. Love marshmallows. Oh yeah.

Speaker 3:But anyway, Marnie thought the students would have wanted to run back to Halloween Town, but they don't. So she tells them all to stick together and figure out how to work through these problems so the program can continue.

Speaker 1:But they only have until next week.

Speaker 3:They're back at school now, and the principal tells Aggie that history might not be the best place for her. And since she can teach every subject, parents have been complaining about her teaching methods. And as he's talking to her, Aggie's crocodile purse rips open his jacket. Ethan apologizes to Natalie because what happened was she pulled off her human costume.

Speaker 1:He saw her as a troll, which, frankly, I thought the pink troll, she was really cute. She was so cute. And he was like, ugh. And he couldn't. Okay.

Speaker 3:Here's the other thing. He's been to Halloween Town, hasn't he? He doesn't have magic, but he's been there.

Speaker 1:Yes. So why is seeing trolls and like, you're a troll? Like, yeah, you saw me last week. Like, you know what I mean?

Speaker 3:Yes. He was so shocked by these magical beings when he's grown up around magical beings.

Speaker 1:It was really weird.

Speaker 2:Yeah, I don't know necessarily that he's grown up around it.

Speaker 1:Well, he did. Of course he did. He was a little kid last time we saw him.

Speaker 2:Well, yeah, that's true.

Speaker 3:So he's been around these magical, some sort of magic or magical beings basically his entire life.

Speaker 2:He also, no, he's not under... like some false pretense of not knowing that these, that they're actually Canadian. He knows that they're from Halloween Town.

Speaker 3:Right.

Speaker 1:Wait a second. You were supposed to be from Quebec. Like, no, you knew what they are.

Speaker 3:You also, they didn't make her like a hideous, ugly troll with like warts on her nose and stuff.

Speaker 1:They made her like the cute pencil top troll. Yes.

Speaker 2:She looks just like the little pink troll.

Speaker 3:Yeah.

Speaker 1:She looked adorable.

Speaker 2:From the animated movie. She's so cute.

Speaker 1:He was freaking out about it. And so... Yeah, but she thinks she looks better as a troll, which.

Speaker 2:I had no idea why it was needed or whatever this stupid dynamic love interest but not interest.

Speaker 1:At all was. That has then ended in one of the weirdest ways ever. Yes, I was like.

Speaker 2:Because it also is like, for me, again, I love the messaging that gets put in these movies. This is like an opposite of a Disney messaging where it's... Disney messaging is it doesn't matter what you look like.

Speaker 1:You're beautiful on the inside.

Speaker 2:I love how smart you are. You are so kind. Like, that's it. And, like, legitimately, both of them were like, you are ugly. Like, she's like, you are, like, slimy looking.

Speaker 3:Yeah.

Speaker 1:And she's like, you're, like, hairy and furry.

Speaker 2:Weird. God.

Speaker 1:What kind of movie? What the hell is happening?

Speaker 3:Yeah, so she admits he's one of the ugliest creatures I've ever laid my eyes on, but she thought he was sweet, so didn't care. Just then, Cassie grabs Marnie and takes her to the locker that transports them to the monster common room, and it looks like someone tried to get inside and, like, rip open the thing.

Speaker 1:And in the common area, when Cassie and Marnie enter, no one else is there.

Speaker 3:They realize if it was someone from Halloween Town, they wouldn't have had to smash their way in. So Marnie needs to talk to Grandma Aggie and tells Cassie not to move. And once she's gone, we see that someone is again watching from inside the night mask.

Speaker 1:So it is someone from... So then a scared Cassie.

Speaker 3:Asks if Marnie's still around, but there is no answer.

Speaker 2:Okay, Will.

Speaker 1:Yes, Sabrina.

Speaker 2:If we are ever in a situation that in any way seems like it could be dangerous.

Speaker 1:Oh, I'm leaving your.

Speaker 2:leaves me in a room like this.

Speaker 1:I'm leaving you.

Speaker 2:I'm stabbing you before you can get out the door. Like you're useless to me. You are not a good friend.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:I'm, I, every time this happens in movies, like even when things have happened at our own house and Jordan's got like the bat, like, right. And like, something's weird. He, I'm forcing him to go downstairs to look at it. I'm also just two steps behind him. Cause I'm not going to go upstairs. Like when it's the middle of the– I'm not going to stay upstairs. I am two steps behind him just like in case he does swing the bat, make sure I don't get hit by it.

Speaker 1:Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3:I was going to say at that point you're becoming part of the problem, Sabrina. You got to give him at least a space to fully swing.

Speaker 2:You're not leaving me upstairs. There's no way that I'm going to let you walk downstairs and out of my sight because then like, oh, I am like Velcroed onto him.

Speaker 1:I'm sure he loves that as he's trying to defend the house. Thank you.

Speaker 3:So I have to defend the house and have a backpack, a Sabrina-shaped backpack.

Speaker 1:The whole time. Thank you very much. Nice. Awesome.

Speaker 3:Excellent.

Speaker 1:Hey, thanks for the help, bro. God, yeah.

Speaker 3:No, I always run headlong into danger, but then I run past it because I come faster than Sue.

Speaker 1:So I'm like, you got it. You're good, Sue. You're good. Take out the danger. I'll be back. I'll be back. You're good. She's stronger than me anyway. So, yeah, exactly. Yeah. So now we're now on the basketball court.

Speaker 3:Aggie is now apparently the gym teacher and she is so happy to be teaching, but thinks Marnie might have said something to tip off Cody to their magic or maybe it's just all the magic you're doing. Marnie denies it, but Aggie thinks it's odd that he showed up to school on the same.

Speaker 1:Day and then her house and then the mall. Marnie can't believe what she's hearing and she leaves.

Speaker 3:Then while walking in the hallway, she's pulled into a supply closet by Cody.

Speaker 1:Let's get it on.

Speaker 3:He wonders why she stood him up and reveals he knows about the mysterious locker. He defends his actions. He was just trying to get to know her better, but she tells him to knock it off. He didn't know liking her was a crime. Oh, burn. Back in the locker common area, Cassie hears something and peers into the night's masks. From the hallway, we hear a scream and Marnie sprints into the common room. Oh, remember your friend that you left there to die? Cassie is gone and the night costume is broken on the floor and the reason why she left so she left because what they essentially said is okay the danger's outside that's why they tried to rip the thing open because they can't get in with magic so she thought she was leaving her in the safest place in the world but still It's yeah.

Speaker 1:You stay in the creepy closet. I'll be back with the guy.

Speaker 2:We go together.

Speaker 1:I hear you. I hear you.

Speaker 2:Leave behind.

Speaker 3:You know, that reminds me of, have you seen the great commercial of the, all the kids that are, it's the Halloween, it's the horror movie parody.

Speaker 1:Where all the kids are like, Let's go. Let's go. Should we get into the car, which is running and drive away? It's like, no, let's go into the creepy barn where.

Speaker 3:All the axes are swinging. And even the murderers sitting there like, are you kidding me?

Speaker 1:Yeah, that's what it seems like.

Speaker 2:It's in every horror film. Stupid idiot girl goes runs upstairs.

Speaker 3:Oh, I don't like horror movies. They make me scared. We are back at Marnie's house. The exchange students are scared their necks. So Marnie urges them to pack up and go home, even if it means she loses her magic.

Speaker 1:Marnie's mom and her grandmother come home.

Speaker 3:They had just cast a spell on the clubhouse to prevent humans from crossing the threshold, and it looks like that spell hasn't been broken. So that means someone from Halloween Town is 100% responsible. Gwen thinks they have to send for help and find Cassie. Aggie isn't worried, though. Witches are tough, but she does want to know who has a witch's glass, so Ethan goes and grabs his. While he's gone, Aggie and Gwen send somebody outside, so they go and they check. It's Cody with a bouquet of flowers, but Gwen gets spooked and casts a spell on him. Everyone runs outside and supposedly he'll wake up soon-ish.

Speaker 1:So they point out they didn't actually kill him. We're now in Ethan's room.

Speaker 3:He opens his bag and finds Cassie in his witch's glass.

Speaker 1:He's like, what?

Speaker 3:Aggie knocks on the door and Ethan nervously hides his phone or whatever that is, the equivalent of that.

Speaker 1:Aggie senses something's off. So after she.

Speaker 3:Leaves, she secretly watches him sneak out. Meanwhile, Marnie is going to take Cody home and he's about to wake up. Now, as they're trying to hide this magic so well, we're on Marnie's broomstick when Cody actually wakes up. Here, high above the city, Marnie admits to Cody that she's a witch and they're riding on a broom through the sky.

Speaker 1:He looks down and screams. This explains so much, but wait, he doesn't get it.

Speaker 3:She tells him there will be a lot of time for questions, but right now he needs to just hold on and they soar over the school.

Speaker 1:That's when we see Ethan running inside. So they're just.

Speaker 3:Thrown caution to the wind and they're just riding around on broomsticks with giant plumes of fire that come out the back. They're just doing magic all over the place. There's, it's, it's, yeah, nobody's trying to be circumspect here.

Speaker 4:No.

Speaker 3:Inside, Ethan gets to his office where the principal is toying with the knight's ring.

Speaker 2:Uh-oh.

Speaker 1:Ethan demands to know where his dad is.

Speaker 3:And just then, Ethan's dad, the main councilman, the Captain Good-looking guy, enters through a large flaming door. We find out the principal is a knight, and he drew the monstrous iron dagger on the sidewalk, and Ethan's dad, who is And it was Ethan's dad who trapped Cassie in the mirror.

Speaker 1:Ethan was in on the plan, but he was told that no one was going to get hurt.

Speaker 3:His dad explains that when people in Halloween Town realize that humans are still lying, backward, wretched creatures, they'll understand the portal needs to be closed permanently.

Speaker 1:The principal grins. A separate world for freaks? I'm all for it. So they're working together, people.

Speaker 3:Just when they think nothing will stop them, Cassie from inside the mirror promises that the Cromwells will stop them. But Ethan's dad says that's not possible.

Speaker 1:Not without their magic.

Speaker 3:At midnight on Halloween, the Cromwell's magic is going to be his. He's a real, like, twirling his mustache kind.

Speaker 1:Of guy now.

Speaker 3:At Marnie's house, Aggie promises Gwen and Marnie that they won't fail. The Cromwell women can do anything they put their minds to, except the little sister, who's not involved in anything. Then Gwen uses magic to open the witch's mirror and jumps in, hopefully, to find Cassie.

Speaker 1:Yeah, literally, the little sister doesn't do anything.

Speaker 2:She's not in it at all.

Speaker 1:She is not part of the witch's coven. It's like, wow.

Speaker 2:But you know what? What's crazy is because I didn't recognize her, I didn't even think about it. I didn't miss her.

Speaker 1:I didn't either. That's what they're saying.

Speaker 3:That's why Disney's like, no one's going to miss her because we don't even recognize who she is.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 3:You could have cast somebody. You could have not had a little sister.

Speaker 1:In this at all. And I wouldn't have remembered that there was a little sister. Right. I didn't remember her.

Speaker 4:Yeah.

Speaker 1:The next day we're at school. The principal finds Aggie to apologize.

Speaker 3:There won't be a haunted house this year because the students are going back to Canada. He returns to his office and now Marnie's starting to find him a little bit suspicious. Aggie can't believe she would suspect Phil, the principal, but then totally agrees. She sets the crocodile purse down, and it quietly enters his office. The principal sits down and plays with his iron dagger ring, and then Aggie's.

Speaker 1:Purse attacks him, and the whole school hears the screams.

Speaker 3:Over at the Halloween carnival, the students are struggling to try to set up their booth, and Marnie decides to just, in broad daylight, do it all by magic with everybody there.

Speaker 1:I'm like, what is actually happening?

Speaker 2:No one notices.

Speaker 1:What's going on? Like, they're not trying to hide anything. It's so strange. Yeah, really weird.

Speaker 3:But Cody arrives just as she's casting the spell. He wants to know if he was dreaming about the whole witch flying on the broomstick thing, but nope, it wasn't a dream, because then he watches her instantly turn the booth into a haunted house. She admits again, she's a witch. She asks if it's a problem, and he doesn't think so, but he's still in the processing stage. Just then, Dylan runs out because the walls keep dissolving. She leaves to go fix it and tells Cody they will talk later.

Speaker 3:As she leaves, Aggie's purse knocks Cody over, so Marnie grabs it and brings it back inside to Aggie. They find the dagger ring and realize the principal has been a knight all along. She calls herself a fool for falling for him, but says she'll be fine. The kids start working on the haunted house, but are tired of people being scared of them. Meanwhile, Maggie sees the principal outside and confronts him with the ring. She says she expected more of him. The men he's trying to emulate were evil human beings, and she's surprised it even fits.

Speaker 3:As she walks away, she turns the cane he's holding into a snake, and he screams. He's screaming a lot lately. Augie leaves him with a happy Halloween. Now it's nighttime at the Halloween carnival, and it's pretty awesome and packed. There's a dunk tank and a man juggling fire. Marnie hears people saying that the haunted house isn't scary, and it's actually just a museum for the positive contributions of the monsters to society. Ethan's dad arrives in his flaming door and acknowledges that the haunted house could use a little excitement. He then performs some crazy magic spells. And again, for the channel, some good effects. And everyone runs out screaming in fear. Ethan tells his dad to stop, but he doesn't listen. Again, very cool effects here, both practical and digital. Marnie and Aggie try to counter his magic, but only end up making everything worse. Cody angrily confronts Marnie.

Speaker 3:How could she be doing this? He thought she was the good kind of witch. Jumping into the battle, Aggie then attempts one final spell that luckily gets rid of Ethan's dad and all of his evil magic. turning everything back to normal. Then, Principal Flanagan, this douche, blames the Cromwells and exchange students, calling them witches and monsters and freaks that need to be driven back to where they came from.

Speaker 1:Now, I mean, everyone else still thinks that's Canada, right?

Speaker 2:Right?

Speaker 3:Everyone jumps in to criticize the monsters, and the principal proclaims, it's us or them. The Halloween Town crew seeks refuge by locking themselves into the haunted house, but Ethan's dad is there to greet them and reveals Ethan was also privy to this entire plan, And then he takes away their magic, leaving them helpless.

Speaker 1:Okay, remember that.

Speaker 3:Then Cody arrives to help and the councilman is ready to leave, but Ethan isn't.

Speaker 1:He disobeys his dad and declares that he's staying.

Speaker 3:As a result, his dad calls him a disappointment and says goodbye, making sure the portal is never opened again.

Speaker 2:And that is the end of a father-son relationship in the quickest way we have ever, ever seen.

Speaker 1:It was amazing.

Speaker 2:He was like, Disappointment. See you later. See you never.

Speaker 1:See you never.

Speaker 3:This gets really weird because then also, well, we'll get into it. This whole ending was like, what is going on?

Speaker 2:I know.

Speaker 3:So, yeah, he closes the portal, never to be opened again. It bricks itself up. Marnie knows they have to do something. They've been trying to fit in, but how do you know if somebody truly cares about you if you don't show them who you really are?

Speaker 1:And with that, all the exchange students reveal their true monster identities, taking off their human suits, introducing themselves one by one.

Speaker 3:Cody speaks up. They may look different on the outside, but on the inside, they're just the same as anyone else. So Cody is the one doing this, even though he's just the dude. One human student admits he doesn't know what werewolves are like on the inside, but he does know that Pete is the best halfback they've ever had.

Speaker 1:And Natalie, a great co-president of the science club.

Speaker 3:Principal Flanagan, who 30 seconds ago was leading the charge to have all of these people burned.

Speaker 2:At the stake.

Speaker 1:Is now like, yeah, oh, I have regrets. I shouldn't have done that.

Speaker 2:I take that back. I might have overreacted over there, guys.

Speaker 3:Yes, that Aggie was right and the ring never really fit him. So in 30 seconds, he goes from screaming this stuff to that. It's like they cut an entire scene. Yes.

Speaker 2:Had to have been. Something hit the floor.

Speaker 1:Yes, it had to have because it was so abrupt, this whole ending. They were like, oh, we got to end this. This is where I'm missing seven minutes. Like, do it here. Marnie announces humans really have changed.

Speaker 3:And then Ethan's dad burst through his fire door, followed by Cassie and Marnie's mom.

Speaker 1:She saved the day with the right witch's glass.

Speaker 3:And then the Cromwell ladies use their magic, which was taken from them.

Speaker 1:Yes.

Speaker 3:And the council appears praising the work of the family. So somehow they got their magic back, even though he took it from them. So if he took all the Cromwell magic.

Speaker 2:Well, the whole point was, yeah, he took it because it was past midnight.

Speaker 1:Right.

Speaker 3:But if he was able to take all the Cromwell magic, how did the mom have any magic left to get out of the witch's glass?

Speaker 1:Right. And then how did they all still have their magic even though he just took it? Right.

Speaker 3:Okay.

Speaker 1:Right. Okay.

Speaker 3:So, uh yeah they praise the work of the family if the humans are willing to give them the chance then they should return the favor the court then sentences ethan's dad into the witching glass as punishment much like general zod in star and uh superman 2 the haunted house resumes and everyone yells happy halloween the portal opens from halloween town and now both worlds are one all celebrating the holiday Dylan and Natalie apologize to one another.

Speaker 3:And just as they're about to kiss, they agree it's too gross. They should just be friends, which is the worst possible thing for these two. But I was just assuming Disney didn't want him to kiss. I'm like, what the hell just happened? It was so weird. And then Principal Flanagan tells Augie he hopes she's back at school. Been trying to kill her the entire time. Hope she's back at school. She says they'll need to make a few changes. That's what I mean. What's field hockey without some flying monkeys? Gwen is looking for Marnie and eventually finds her in the sky on her broomstick with Cody.

Speaker 3:And the movie ends with Marnie and Cody kissing on the broom. So Dylan could have kissed the other girl. Just a weird ending to a strange movie.

Speaker 1:And that's our film. It was really strange. It really was. Can we do some real reviews?

Speaker 2:Absolutely.

Speaker 3:And I think I have the one star this week, and it's from Aeon Dolphin.

Speaker 1:Great name. Let's just sit with that for a little while. Where in the world is Halloween Town? This movie is nowhere near as good as the rest of the series.

Speaker 3:Right away, they start talking about Marnie's punishment for opening the portal, but this is impossible since it happened almost.

Speaker 1:Two years after. After Halloween Town 2, I.

Speaker 3:Expected more magic, more Calabar, more evil warlocks and witch things, but they didn't have it. So as a summary, this movie doesn't stand up to the previous movie's one star. I don't disagree, Aeon Dolphin. I don't disagree.

Speaker 1:And you've got the five star, Sabrina. What do you got?

Speaker 2:I've got a five star from Temp 123. And the Oscar goes to Halloween Town High. It proves to be a film that children will enjoy to watch. Okay.

Speaker 1:Five stars. Five stars.

Speaker 3:Well, now we're going to come to Sabrina's favorite portion of the program, and that is, of course, our game.

Speaker 1:Who are we playing with this week? You have Michaela.

Speaker 4:Hey!

Speaker 1:Hi, Michaela! Michaela!

Speaker 2:Okay.

Speaker 1:This feature is High School is Cool.

Speaker 3:In Halloween Town High, it's the work of high schoolers that help save their own existence and get us a happy ending, and in reality, high schoolers have done some pretty amazing things. We'll get an achievement that has happened in history, and you have to guess what age the person was when it happened.

Speaker 1:Yikes. Okay, wait, it's multiple choice. All right, good.

Speaker 3:And this is also just going to be us guessing because we're not going to know any of these.

Speaker 1:Number one.

Speaker 3:Organized a strike at her Virginia high school to protest unequal school facilities. Her work became an integral part of Brown versus the Board of Education. Was she 15, 16, or 17? Do we not get her name? Okay.

Speaker 1:Fifteen. Sixteen. Will is correct. 16. And it was Barbara Johns. There we go. Okay, good. Barbara Johns, 16. Okay, number two.

Speaker 3:Refused to give up her bus seat to a white passenger nine months before Rosa Parks.

Speaker 1:Was she 15, 16, or 17? Memory serves she was young. I think she was 15, wasn't she?

Speaker 2:Is this Rosa Parks?

Speaker 1:No, it's before. There was one that happened before.

Speaker 2:Okay. I'm going to stick with 15.

Speaker 1:I think she was 15. Correct. 15. Claudette Colvin. That's right. Number three.

Speaker 3:Invented the revolutionary tactile reading and writing system for blind and visually impaired individuals.

Speaker 1:Was he 15, 16, or 17?

Speaker 3:I'm going to say 17, too, because we haven't had one yet.

Speaker 2:He was 15, and his name was Louis Braille.

Speaker 1:Wow.

Speaker 3:Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1:Well, that makes sense.

Speaker 2:Oh, that's cool.

Speaker 1:That's amazing.

Speaker 2:That is so cool.

Speaker 1:Yeah. I mean, what a cool system. Pretty incredible.

Speaker 4:Yeah.

Speaker 3:At 15?

Speaker 2:That's nuts.

Speaker 3:Number four, after surviving an assassination attempt, she became the youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate in history.

Speaker 1:Was she 15, 16, or 17? 16.

Speaker 2:16.

Speaker 1:Okay. She was 17, and her name was Malala. Yeah, I remember Malala. And finally, number five.

Speaker 3:Name Time Magazine's first ever Child of the Year for inventing Tethys.

Speaker 1:I think that's how you pronounce it. T-E-T-H-Y-S.

Speaker 3:A mobile device that detects lead in drinking water, and kindly, an AI-based app to prevent cyberbullying.

Speaker 1:Was she 15, 16, or 17? Apparently.

Speaker 2:Wow.

Speaker 1:Makes you think we didn't do shit by that age.

Speaker 2:I know. Dang.

Speaker 1:I'm going to say 16. There hasn't been a 16 yet, has there?

Speaker 3:16. So she was 15, and it was Jitanjali Rao.

Speaker 1:So we both lost, I think.

Speaker 3:Yep. They did all this amazing stuff in their life, and we couldn't even get any right. So thank you for making us feel so bad about ourselves.

Speaker 1:Jensen and Michaela. I appreciate that. Can we do a Sabrina Seas? Sabrina Seas.

Speaker 2:Yes, we skipped over one of the mentions of another second high school musical star that's in this. Alicia, she plays Kelsey. Didn't I say that at the beginning?

Speaker 1:Because I thought it was up there.

Speaker 2:It was up there, but we skipped over it.

Speaker 1:Oh, I didn't want to do that.

Speaker 2:So I wanted to make sure we gave her her shout out because she was she was our cute little troll.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:Anyway, we've seen her a couple of times and she's always so great.

Speaker 1:Yeah. Olesa Rulan played Natalie. My bad. My bad. She was known as Kelsey in the high school musical films. Yes. Yes.

Speaker 2:There's my super senior moment. We finally I love when I catch these because we watch them so much and especially the recent ones. There's not a lot in it, but we've got a continuity issue. When she was in the science room with her grandma, talking to her grandma about making the science project into a green bird.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:On one angle, she has pushed her goggles up on her head. And then the other angle, she's got the goggles on.

Speaker 1:Are they down? I love that.

Speaker 2:Ups and downs.

Speaker 1:I love that.

Speaker 2:It's got to be so hard.

Speaker 1:Oh, she was in Hounded and the Poof Point.

Speaker 2:Hounded and Poof Point.

Speaker 1:Okay.

Speaker 2:So this is the fourth.

Speaker 1:Yeah. kind of movie. She's an underappreciated DCOM legend.

Speaker 2:Yes.

Speaker 1:We got to see if we can get her on the show.

Speaker 2:We do.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:So yes. And then, so this whole thing with the love interest, I wish they would have played into it more because it would have made a lot of sense. Our last movie with her for Halloween Town, Marnie, the love interest of that, of her love interest is the one that ends up being his like nephew or dad or or son of the main character who is out to get the family. So she should have, I feel like they could have played into her character being either just kind of the opposite and so in love with this kid that's now a new love interest or being very spicy towards him. Like, I feel like it didn't make sense that she was like kind of wishy-washy. It felt like she should have been like, no, I've allowed myself to like get that in, like let that deter me from like what my, my purpose is and stuff.

Speaker 2:So I felt like that was weird that it's not mentioned at all. And it's just from the previous movie. Um, and then Ethan, how come in so many of these movies, it's almost become a trope that like these high schools are just, or buildings of any nature. Cause when we, uh, in, uh, under wraps the like museum, um, They're just, like, unlocked and open for people to go into.

Speaker 1:Yeah. Very bad security in DCOMs.

Speaker 3:Yep.

Speaker 1:It's like, yeah, come on in.

Speaker 2:Yeah, just the door's open. Just let yourself in.

Speaker 1:You're good.

Speaker 2:We're good. On the second day of school, so when she goes into being an English teacher, she's like, okay, we're going to start with chapter 15. And it's like the second day of school.

Speaker 3:Are we not doing the first 14?

Speaker 1:It's kind of important.

Speaker 2:And then the last one, there was when they're having their speech of like, you know, they may not look like us after everyone's kind of shown their true selves. And some, and you know that it was like, they were like, you know, we just want you guys to react to it. And one background actor's like, they may look different and the background actor goes, yeah, they do.

Speaker 1:Yeah, they do. Yeah, there are some great background actors in the end scene. I heard that too. Yeah, they do. Yeah, they do. I love it.

Speaker 2:So, that's all I saw in addition to everything we've talked about.

Speaker 1:I appreciate that.

Speaker 3:Now we come to the portion of our program where we're going to score the movie we just saw.

Speaker 1:We're going to go one, I got nothing for this one. We're going to go one to ten. We're going to make ten the highest.

Speaker 2:Yeah.

Speaker 1:Our options this week are One to ten Halloween town banks. Creepy laughs.

Speaker 3:You have one to ten tiny leprechaun petals. Pig-like eating habits. One to ten day dates. Marshmallow pooping spiders.

Speaker 1:I'm going to add that. I'm adding pooping.

Speaker 3:Canadian foreign exchange students. One to ten flame doors. Or one to ten just friends. I'd also like to add one to ten unnecessary romantic storylines.

Speaker 2:Yes.

Speaker 1:And one to ten... There's just knights walking around and nobody's saying anything. So it's your time to pick this week. What do you want to do?

Speaker 2:I think I liked the marshmallow pooping spiders.

Speaker 1:Right. I love it.

Speaker 3:Uh, I think this time I rate, yes, this, this was not a great movie. Um, and, and again, this wasn't even a good, like a great Halloween town movie. Cause the Halloween town, the first two were really good. Uh, there's the, the only thing that saved this movie is the cast.

Speaker 1:Um, again, Kimberly great.

Speaker 3:Uh, she's so natural and a great leading, uh, actress, uh, So Debbie Reynolds, Judith Hogue.

Speaker 1:I mean, it's a great cast. It really is. The special effects look wonderful.

Speaker 3:The costumes, once again, killing it with the makeup and the effects. So that really saved this movie for me. But I think I'm safe at saying this is a five marshmallow pooping spiders. And it's only a five because of the cast and everybody else there. The story didn't make a whole lot of sense. They're just doing magic willy nilly in front of everybody and then are amazed that people see them doing magic. So, yeah, a lot of the story was not very good. But again, cast, great.

Speaker 3:Special effects, really good for a DCOM.

Speaker 1:Story, not that great. Five marshmallow pooping spiders. Five marshmallow pooping spiders.

Speaker 2:I'm pretty close to you. I, you know, I think this becomes something where it's like a third movie. For whatever reason, it just... it's hard when it, the first two were so good. And this one kind of just doesn't mount up. That makes it hard because there's already nostalgia and love for the franchise. And for the third one to come around, it being a couple of years later, uh, it just is kind of disappointing that it wasn't as good because like we both said, the first two are just so good. And this one just looks like they threw it at the wall. Yeah. And didn't, and didn't put in the like love and effort that it seemed like that went into the second or the first two.

Speaker 2:I don't want to go too low because we're eventually going to be rating the fourth one.

Speaker 1:Right. Well, that one already loses points because of the whole Kimberly situation. Because the cast is gone.

Speaker 2:And we already know that.

Speaker 1:So not cool.

Speaker 2:And again, the cast is so good. We love the characters so much that it pulls it up a little bit for me. And for me, this is six marshmallow pooping.

Speaker 1:OK, well, five and a six.

Speaker 3:We got a total of 11 marshmallow pooping spiders between the two of us. Well, thank you, everybody, so much for joining us for this movie recap for our next film.

Speaker 1:You probably guessed, but.

Speaker 3:We're closing out the franchise with the last Halloween Town movie, 2006 Return to Halloween Town.

Speaker 1:It's available to stream on Disney Plus. So jump ahead if you like. We appreciate the initiative. We very much do.

Speaker 3:And as always, don't forget you can subscribe to the Magical Rewind dedicated feed so you never miss anything we drop and you can hear Sabrina's newest spinoff solo endeavor, Once Upon a Heedling. I might be mispronouncing that.

Speaker 1:It's Once Upon a Headline and it's where I get all my Disney news. You get it.

Speaker 3:She gives you all the Disney related headlines, everything you need to know about the Mouse House and everything going on. It's pretty great if you want to stay in the Disney know. So thanks everybody. Go check it out and we will see you next time.

Speaker 2:Bye.
