Speaker 1:Hi, I'm Marla Sokoloff.

Speaker 2:And I'm Lee Norris.

Speaker 1:And this is Class Reunion.

Speaker 2:How are you, Marla?

Speaker 1:I'm good.

Speaker 2:How are you?

Speaker 1:This is a show. Let's just debrief what our show is so everybody is familiar with us. It's a show where we talk all things Bravo. We're both Bravo obsessed, which I think would shock some people, but not us. We know that we know all the Bravo things, so we just want to gab about it, and we love doing that.

Speaker 2:We do. I just assumed everybody knew. I'm a mega podcast star now. I don't know if you knew this.

Speaker 1:You are?

Speaker 2:Someone stopped me in the airport and said they loved the podcast.

Speaker 1:And I also got recognized at Michelle Branch concert the other night. Somebody said that they loved our podcast and it was so exciting because I had never been recognized from this podcast before. So it was really a thrilling, thrilling moment for me.

Speaker 2:I think we've made it. They could be the only two listeners and my mom and dad, but you know.

Speaker 1:Well, thank God for them. We have four listeners. No, I think people seem to really be liking the podcast, which makes me so happy because I think you and I both enjoy doing it so much.

Speaker 2:We're having way too much fun. We are.

Speaker 1:We are. We're enjoying it too much. Also, before we forget, just to go back to last week's episode, I thought of my tagline. Yes.

Speaker 2:Oh my God. This, you texted me this and I was like, you have.

Speaker 1:To, I actually have two.

Speaker 2:Okay. Okay.

Speaker 1:So the one that I thought of was I might've made Stephanie smoke, but now I'm pushing diet Coke.

Speaker 2:Yes.

Speaker 1:Okay.

Speaker 2:Yes.

Speaker 1:The second one I cannot take credit for my friend, Amanda, who just surprisingly busted this one out. It is so me. It's like, she knows me so well.

Speaker 2:Yeah.

Speaker 1:What is it? You ready for this one?

Speaker 2:Yes. Well, I think.

Speaker 1:I want to be invited, but I'm not going.

Speaker 2:You're so cool. I was like, that's so good.

Speaker 1:Cause it is really so me. Like I'm such a whole body. It's so hard for me to get out of my house. And like, you know, even if I'm committed to something, I force myself to go and I complain the whole way. Obviously I have fun once I'm there, but it's just my instinct is to cancel, you know? So I just love that Amanda knew me so well that she thinks that should be my tagline.

Speaker 2:But we always want to be invited. If I'm not invited.

Speaker 1:I'm furious. Yeah. But then I'm even more mad that I have to go.

Speaker 2:Well, speaking of being in the airport and getting recognized, I have some bad news that I have to break to you. So I flew back from New York this morning and I wore jeans, Marla, and I know this is– I know.

Speaker 1:What do I have to do here to get this– through your head. Like when's the.

Speaker 2:Lesson going to be learned? Let me tell you, I packed sweatpants.

Speaker 1:Okay.

Speaker 2:And in the hotel room this morning, it is a start. In the hotel room this morning, I put on the sweatpants and I looked in the mirror and I could not do it. I couldn't do it.

Speaker 1:Okay. What was it? Is it just like you feel too casual? It's too leisurely? It is.

Speaker 2:You know what I think it is? Much the same way that Meredith Marks takes off her wig at the end of a hard fought day and lets her real hair hang out. I've come to realize that I think the sweatpants are sacred for me. And the jeans are kind of like the wig. They're like my armor. And so when I come home from the end of a long day, I want to put on the sweatpants and know they're not covered in the outside world's germs. And I know you can identify with this.

Speaker 1:I know. I'm like, obviously you're immediately showering when you get home because yes, it's like the airplane and the airport and the people.

Speaker 2:All of it. And so when I slip on those sweatpants at home, it's like my brain shuts down.

Speaker 1:You need the costume change.

Speaker 2:And I'm just in a cozy, soft place. But I'm working on it. I just wanted you to know I tried, but.

Speaker 1:You know what? And I appreciate the effort. And I really appreciate the honesty that you're working on this and that you realize there's growth. There's growth. There's room for improvement. And- You know, I'm just thinking if there's some sort of happy medium, like something between the jean and a sweat.

Speaker 2:Like a corduroy? No.

Speaker 1:No, like a Lululemon cargo pant or something like that. You know what I mean?

Speaker 2:A cargo pant. I don't know. I don't know. Yeah. I like my dark denim.

Speaker 1:Listen, I don't know men's fashion at all. I have a hard enough time figuring out women's. But I'm going to do some more research for you.

Speaker 2:Okay. Thank you. Thank you. Are you, by the way, are you good at flying or I haven't flown with you that I know of. Yeah, you don't want to. No, I'm not good at it either.

Speaker 1:Oh, you're not? Because I feel like you have to fly a lot for work.

Speaker 2:I do. I do. But like if we hit any kind of turbulence, I want everybody gripping the armrest like I am, praying in unison. Nothing drives me crazier. Yes, crying and sweating. Nothing drives me crazier than like a seat companion that I don't know who is like laughing and carrying on.

Speaker 1:Yeah, they're just reading their book while their Diet Coke is spilling all over the tray and they're just like unfazed.

Speaker 2:Like our life is not hanging in the balance. I can't. I can't deal with that.

Speaker 1:I hate it so much. Turbulence scares me and I've watched the TikToks where they say you shouldn't be afraid of turbulence. It's really not a sign of any danger and it's just the plane is used to it and it still doesn't help me. even like a little bump. I'm like, what was that? What was that?

Speaker 2:Yes.

Speaker 1:And my poor husband, he just dies laughing because, you know, that's something that I really had to work on once we had children that you travel with, because, you know, I'm not going to lie. Old Marlo would like take a Xanax maybe, you know, I'm not Lisa Renner.

Speaker 2:I don't have like a pill.

Speaker 1:I mean, listen, it's, it's, it helps me to fly. It's not in my like Ziploc bag full of pills, but I didn't mind it back in the day. But then when you have kids, you kind of have to be on it. You have to give them snacks. You got to color, you know, you have a bag of tricks.

Speaker 2:You can't be like, mommy's checked out, sweetie.

Speaker 1:No. No. So now I'm like raw dogging flights and it is really stressful and scary. And so he has filmed me a couple of times, like doing full on Lamaze on the airplane, just trying to, and my kids, now that they're older, they know they're like, oh, mom is, she is in the zone. We, you know, she's locked in. He always makes fun of me. He says, it looks like you're trying to fly the plane.

Speaker 2:Right.

Speaker 1:Someone else is flying it. You don't have to worry.

Speaker 2:We're trying to fly it with our mind, Marla. We're praying, and that is what we should be doing.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:And, and so once again, you and I have found some common ground and our spouses can fly together and you and I can freak out together.

Speaker 1:Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2:Oh my gosh. That's probably not going to work out well.

Speaker 1:Do you ever check the turbulence app to see like what your flight's going to like, do you like to know beforehand if there's going to be, no, me neither.

Speaker 2:No, I wouldn't get on the flight if I saw that I would just, I'd be stuck in my chair.

Speaker 1:Yeah, I have a friend who, my friend Chantel, who I love so much, we traveled together one time and she actually wound up being worse at flying than I was, which I was comforting her. I'm like, what is this dynamic? We're a mess.

Speaker 2:See, yeah, that'll be us. But she likes to know.

Speaker 1:So she like checks the app to make sure, to see like when it's going to happen, like what state she'll be over when, you know, it's super bumpy. And I'm like, no, I don't want to know. I would never get on the flight.

Speaker 2:Speaking of bumpy... Turbulence. We got to get into headlines.

Speaker 1:Yeah, let's start talking about these bumpy housewives and their marriages. Did you hear Winnie Rose finally pulled the plug?

Speaker 2:Did I hear? I mean, the Bravoverse, you know, that is what I love about the Bravoverse. We are a community. Where were you when you found out? Where were you when you heard?

Speaker 1:Where was I when I heard? Gosh, it's like we'll never forget, you know? I think I was at home. I know I was at home. Just... Doing home things.

Speaker 2:Home things.

Speaker 1:And checked my Instagram, and there it was, just staring, the truth staring right at me. Couldn't believe it.

Speaker 2:Tara, our beloved, intrepid producer, texted us, and I got a text. And I was in New York. I was in the epicenter, apparently, because- With Heather Gay. Heather was there, and she was on Watch What Happens Live, and she was on Radio Andy when she found out, which is shocking to me that she didn't know. from Whitney ahead of time.

Speaker 1:That was kind of heartbreaking a little bit.

Speaker 2:I know.

Speaker 1:You saw her processing it, but then also processing her friendship with Whitney.

Speaker 2:Right.

Speaker 1:One of my really good friends got a tattoo yesterday, and she posted it on Instagram. And I'm like, no, no, I don't want to learn from Instagram that you just got a tattoo. So I texted her. I'm like, I feel like I don't even know you. Right. Who are you?

Speaker 2:I know. I was more shocked about that than I was about the divorce itself, to be candid with you.

Speaker 1:Yeah. It was hard to watch that. Yeah. Her process of learning it and figuring out that she didn't have, like, the inside track on that.

Speaker 2:It's tough. And I am wearing black today in mourning for this relationship. I mean, if these two crazy swinger kids can't make it, you know... Who can? Is there hope for any of us? Nope. But, you know, obviously... All joking aside, I mean, obviously I feel terrible. I mean, they're kids. It's awful. It's heartbreaking. I just, but, but, but Bravo is undefeated in these housewives marriages. I mean, you cannot go on a show like this.

Speaker 1:Going on the housewives is a gateway to divorce.

Speaker 2:Unfortunately.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:Yeah. Who, I mean, I'm trying to think like, I feel like Kyle and Mauricio have maybe made it the longest. You know? And then they obviously hit bumpy waters. But Ken and Lisa are still together, but she's not really on the housewives anymore. You know?

Speaker 1:And Meredith and Seth, I guess they're sort of together. Yeah.

Speaker 2:Yeah. And of course, Kyle and Mauricio are separated now.

Speaker 1:So it didn't... No, you meant like the longest marriage.

Speaker 2:But they lasted a long time before that.

Speaker 1:Like until the end, it was the longest time. Yeah.

Speaker 2:Yeah.

Speaker 1:Yeah, I'm trying to think. I mean, Meredith and Seth are still married. Um, Crystal and Rob, although she's not on the show anymore. I feel like you have to leave the show.

Speaker 2:I know you got to get out. So, and Whitney didn't get out. And I think if, you know, there is one thing that we've learned too, is that, you know, Justin obviously got in the way of her Sephora deal. And men, I'm just saying, you can't stand in the way of your spouse in Sephora. You can't get in the way of that relationship.

Speaker 1:Don't even say the words Sephora. That's just none of your business as far as I'm concerned. But yeah, I think that was the beginning of the end. In a weird way as a viewer, I was slightly shocked because... Not shocked. I thought it was a storyline for her because how she stayed in the house. And was it completely moving out?

Speaker 2:Didn't seem real.

Speaker 1:Something was off there. So I'm curious as to what that was. But in the back of my mind, knowing how housewives, you know, tend to work and manipulate their storyline, I was like, maybe she's kind of just finding something, you know?

Speaker 2:Looking for something.

Speaker 1:Looking for something. Exactly.

Speaker 2:I mean, I do, I could see her and Bronwyn now, you know, kind of being too young single gals on the town in Salt Lake. You know, I don't know. I mean, maybe that's where her, her storyline is headed.

Speaker 1:I don't know. Yeah. A single Whitney Rose is going to be. Yeah.

Speaker 2:And we'll get into it in the episode, but obviously Angie's is not looking great either. So, I mean, it's, they're dropping like flies.

Speaker 1:They are. They are.

Speaker 2:Um, Did you see the Southern Charm trailer come out? Now, I know you haven't watched Southern Charm.

Speaker 1:I'm going to let you talk on the Southern Charm because I am unfortunately am very behind. I am not really as well versed as you are. So please take it away.

Speaker 2:We're going to get you on this wagon before Charleston. And Marla, I think you could watch season one in all your spare time that I know you have with your three girls and your husband and your successful career. Um, you can watch season one of Southern charm. I think if you want it to just get like a little bit of a taste of it, because that's where it all started. And I would say the last 10 minutes of the last episode of season one, I won't give it away, but there, a baby is involved. And in this new trailer, there is, you know, a secret baby rumor that they lead off with. And that totally grabbed me because if you know anything about the history of Southern charm, like the baby moment at the end of season one put Southern charm on the map in my, in my house.

Speaker 1:And how many seasons are there?

Speaker 2:Oh my God.

Speaker 1:It's season.

Speaker 2:I think it's season 12.

Speaker 1:Oh, okay. So this is, so yeah. So you're saying I could just watch season one and know what's going on.

Speaker 2:I think that that's like the historical text, right? Like that's the bedrock. That's, that gives you the, the, the feel of it. And then, I mean, if you have, a little more time, you could watch the most recent season to see like who the most current cast are.

Speaker 1:The cast of characters.

Speaker 2:But I think season one, the last episode is truly shocking. Like your mouth will be on the floor.

Speaker 1:Really?

Speaker 2:I remember Andrea was in another room and I called her back in. I was like, you have to see this and rewound it and played it. So anyway.

Speaker 1:Wow. Okay. Now I'm invested. I'm ready.

Speaker 2:It looks great. I think the new cast members that they've kind of, they've kind of been tweaking the cast and Molly and Wittner, I think are good additions. Although it looks like- Wittner.

Speaker 1:Wittner. That is a new one. Okay.

Speaker 2:Well, welcome to the South, Marla. All right. Not to be confused with Whitney. There's also a Whitney on Southern Charm. Wittner.

Speaker 1:That is a new one for me. Yeah. Okay.

Speaker 2:So Wittner and Molly, I think they're good additions. I really like Molly, although she looks like in the trailer, like she loses her cool. So I'm curious to see what happens there. Okay. It looks like Craig has written the most world's basic children's book. And this little boy rolls his eyes as Craig is reading it. And I like belly laughed. I was, I loved it so much. So anyway, all right. That's the, I think if you do that before we get to Charleston, you'll be on firm footing. And I do have a story that I will share. With you and our, what are our listeners? Classmates?

Speaker 2:With our classmates?

Speaker 1:Ooh.

Speaker 2:I mean, I do have a story. Yeah, the classmates is great.

Speaker 1:Do you like it?

Speaker 2:Okay. All right. I have a story that I'll share with the class, but I can't share it yet involving Southern Charm and a real life crossover. I can't share it yet because if I do, one of the stars may take out a restraining order against me. And I want us to be able to go to Charleston and not get turned away.

Speaker 1:We are booked and ready. Okay.

Speaker 2:I'm holding on to that one, but just know it's there. Okay.

Speaker 1:And I promise I'm going to watch it before then for sure. Okay.

Speaker 2:All right. What else have we got? Okay.

Speaker 1:Did you see that they have revealed the OC seating chart for the reunion?

Speaker 2:Oh, did not. Who's in this?

Speaker 1:It's interesting because I feel like this is a recent thing where they will like release a photo of what the reunion is looking like.

Speaker 2:Right.

Speaker 1:And where everybody is sitting. Right. And it's become kind of a big deal. Like when you see, like I remember, I think it was Salt Lake City, not last year, but the year before where Angie was sitting next to Andy. And everybody was like, oh, Andy.

Speaker 2:Yeah, it's like who's sitting next to Andy? I know. Who is it? Who's sitting next to him? Do you know?

Speaker 1:So for OC, we have Tamara and Vicky.

Speaker 2:Wow.

Speaker 1:The Vicky surprised me because of the fact that she, well, two reasons. One, she just got added again this year. She's like new.

Speaker 2:Right.

Speaker 1:Technically, even though she's like the original housewife, she's new.

Speaker 2:Sure.

Speaker 1:And also she has just sucked this season. Like she, you know, and I say that with love in my heart, she just hasn't been pulling it for me.

Speaker 2:So you think it's just like respect for the OG that she's there or. Maybe.

Speaker 1:Yeah. I mean, maybe it's that, maybe it's just like, Andy knows that if he puts her anywhere but there, like maybe she won't come back again. Although I would be totally fine with that. And I think a lot of viewers would be as well.

Speaker 2:Yeah.

Speaker 1:Like I just think she has left the building. Um, but it's interesting. I like Tamara being there. I think she'll be great. And you know, kind of.

Speaker 2:She always brings it.

Speaker 1:Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2:Can we touch on very quickly? Have you been watching, um, Jeff Lewis still flipping out?

Speaker 1:Have I been watching?

Speaker 2:Have I been watching? What are you thinking?

Speaker 1:I love it so much. I just think he is such good television. He's so entertaining. I love that he is so inherently him from when he first had his original show. Even his weird rules around eating lunch together because he doesn't want anyone leaving off campus and then they take too long to come back for their lunch. So for him, it's easier to have a company lunch and You know, buy them all lunch. He's insane.

Speaker 2:He is. I hadn't really watched the first Flipping Out that much. Andrea watched it a lot more. I would kind of dip in and out. But I have started watching still Flipping Out. And I saw this week's episode and I was laughing. It was so funny when he went to Kim Whitley's, one of the chumps' houses, and he saw the carpeted stairs and was like, carpeted stairs?

Speaker 1:He's like, I got a good hardwood guy for you. Yeah.

Speaker 2:And like the reindeer out in the front yard that are there all year long and not just at Christmas. I mean, when he saw that house, I was cackling. It was so good.

Speaker 1:I mean, it stressed me out. And I know it stressed you out as a fellow like germaphobe where I'm like, this house is not ready for Jeff Lewis. You know, like you did no prep knowing he was coming over. Like, have you ever met this man? You know, he is like such a diva. I would say that's my one note for the show. If I may.

Speaker 2:What is that? Yes, please.

Speaker 1:I feel like we need more design, Jeff. Like there's a lot of like the chumps and the this and the drama, but I need them to loop in just a little bit more of the design because that stuff I love. I think he is so talented. He does such beautiful work. I'm wondering if there's like a reason why they did that. But anyway.

Speaker 2:Interesting. Now I hear that. Yeah, I like the design stuff too. And so I am curious to see like if he actually does anything with their house because if he can work any magic there, then God bless him.

Speaker 1:Yeah, I don't know. That's an undertaking. Well, I'm glad you're watching it, though, because I definitely want to keep talking about that.

Speaker 2:Okay, good. Good, good, good. We'll keep checking in.

Speaker 1:All right. Should we get into this week's Salt Lake City?

Speaker 2:Let's do it. Okay. I'm excited.

Speaker 1:Okay, so it starts off with Angie. She's, like, FaceTiming with Mary, who didn't go on the trip within good reason. She's, you know, staying at home with Robert Sr. Sure, sure. Um, but Mary still, you know, needs to be filled in obviously. So she fills her in about what happened with Kwai.

Speaker 2:Yes.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:I mean, I do miss Mary. It was nice just to see her quickly and remind us that, you know, she's still there and waiting and she does add a certain thing to the mix. So I do, I miss her presence. I'm excited for her to, for them to get back to, uh, Salt Lake so she can hang a little bit. Yeah.

Speaker 1:A hundred percent. And then what you touched on before about Angie's marriage and what's going on with that. So why don't you speak on that?

Speaker 2:I mean, look, obviously they're great business partners. They're a great team. I mean, I'm sure they have a really strong bond and friendship. And it sounds like maybe they just haven't taken the time to continue to cultivate that in a way. Or he could just be a jerk. I mean, frankly... He doesn't come off sounding great when she's like, you know, talking about how she met him as a little girl and he kind of dictates everything. So obviously we're only really hearing her side of the story here. Um, but you know, it's, it's, of course it's, it's hard. It's, it's sad with their daughter. And like when she had the FaceTime with her daughter, it did seem like you could tell that the daughter is already like picking up on it, not being a great, you know, time.

Speaker 1:Yeah, of course. I mean, she's old enough where you can't really like hide things like this from your child, you know? Um, it was, It was really, I don't think we've ever seen Angie be that vulnerable.

Speaker 2:Yeah.

Speaker 1:And it clearly was, like, such a shock to Heather. You know, she was not expecting this news. And I thought that that was, you know, a really nice moment between the two of them. But it broke my heart for Angie. Like, completely broke my heart.

Speaker 2:For sure.

Speaker 1:Because I can't even imagine.

Speaker 2:Now, riddle me this, though. Okay. What is the deal with Angie in that confessional? In the contact? Where, yes, she looks like she's wearing contacts in this Union soldier outfit.

Speaker 1:No, last week we forgot to talk about this. It was in my notes. And then when we ended our podcast, I'm like, oh my gosh, I forgot to bring that up because it's so jarring.

Speaker 2:It's jarring. She looks like a White Walker from Game of Thrones with these like crystal blue eyes. And I'm like, it's so, I'm like, what's happening?

Speaker 1:It was such a poor choice. It's so strange.

Speaker 2:I hate it.

Speaker 1:I'm so sad nobody told her not to do that.

Speaker 2:Is it for cosmetic reasons? Or is it like– I think it's a choice. It's a choice.

Speaker 1:It's a choice. Yeah. You know? All right. People make choices that sometimes are not the right choices. And that is– and every time they cut to it, I forget. And then you're like, oh, it's the contacts again. Like she's like a different person.

Speaker 2:I know. Well, maybe this is part of her reawakening and her– if her relationship is falling apart. This is like Angie 2.0.

Speaker 1:Some girls like cut their hair. She's like, I'm changing my eye color. Yes.

Speaker 2:Yes, exactly.

Speaker 1:Yeah, no, I'm so glad that we remembered that or you remembered that for this week because it is so odd and just does not look right.

Speaker 2:No, no, I know.

Speaker 1:All right.

Speaker 2:Well, we get to hear from Brittany. She's calling out Bronwyn for being wishy-washy about her divorce, saying one minute they're hunky-dory and the next, you know, Bronwyn's drinking too much. And Brittany is full of surprises. We found out recently she's a pop singer, apparently. who's releasing a full album, but she's also a detective.

Speaker 1:Yeah, and a realtor too. She has, you know, she looks up comps and whatnot. I don't know. Lee, she's your best friend. Why don't you ask her? Why don't you hit her up and see, you know?

Speaker 2:You're still salty about this. I can feel it.

Speaker 1:No, I'm not salty. I'm just, she's dead to me. Like, you know, just facts. Yeah, it's like, I mean, I was going to tell you that I think she has a good voice, but I don't know. I don't know if I should share that.

Speaker 2:You're reevaluating.

Speaker 1:Yeah, I'll think about it.

Speaker 2:You know, let's not give her too much credit. She pulled up the deed, you know, and I don't really know how much Todd's signature, what that really means, because as Heather pointed out.

Speaker 1:I think it gets complicated when there's, like, trusts and, you know, I'm like, I don't understand all that. And also, who cares?

Speaker 2:Right, exactly. And I don't, I mean, like, in this day and age, you can Google anything. You can look up property records in Salt Lake City and, like, let's not give her too much credit. Oh, no, I wasn't. It's not like she... It's okay.

Speaker 1:I was not.

Speaker 2:Glad that's been established. Yes, yes. I mean, what do you think about her read on Bronwyn and how she's handling it? Obviously, you guys are friends, but.

Speaker 1:Yeah, I mean, I feel like for Bronwyn, she's literally having her awakening, which we've spoken about before. She's finally finding herself and being able to have fun and grabbing cigarettes off the street and just letting loose. But. I do think it's confusing. I think as a viewer, it's confusing, but it was confusing even when they were married. I wasn't sure what that dynamic was and what was going on there, and it always had questions. But I think she's protective of Todd, and I appreciate that.

Speaker 2:Sure.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:Yeah. Recognizing the family dynamic with the daughter and all of that. And, you know, I, I'm kind of like you, I, who cares if her stories don't add up? Like she, she owns things and she'll admit when she does a misstep. Right. And so to me, I feel like we're like, they're kind of holding her to a different standard than, than they do some of the other ones.

Speaker 1:Yeah. I think they're very hard on her. I thought the bit with like Lisa talking about, you know, her flying her coach and her being like, is she a good host? Because she took us on another trip and flew us their coach. I died.

Speaker 2:I know.

Speaker 1:That was so funny.

Speaker 2:Now, she did leave a voice text. And Marla, I have to tell you, in my Grandpa Norris mode, you sent me a voice text recently. And you did. You sent me a voice text. Of course I know.

Speaker 1:I love a voice text.

Speaker 2:I was like, is this... I didn't know if this is a thing women do and that I just hadn't gotten around to. I don't know. I don't know. I'm not a voice texter. But then Jensen, husband of the pod, also sent us a voice text recently.

Speaker 1:I was just going to tell you that. Yeah, like.

Speaker 2:So I think it's just me.

Speaker 1:I think it's just like Lee doesn't do it.

Speaker 2:I think I, yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1:Do I need to embrace this?

Speaker 2:You don't send voice notes?

Speaker 1:No. I just got off a voice note with my friend, Natanya Ross, who you know and we both love.

Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:And I'm not even joking you. It was five and a half minutes.

Speaker 2:Was it really?

Speaker 1:Like, and I love her so much. And I literally voice noted her back. I'm like, I love you so much. Like the five and a half minute voice note. Like I can't, you can't do that. It has to be under three minutes. Um, but I do love it.

Speaker 2:So there are rules. Okay.

Speaker 1:I mean, this is just like an ADD Marla rule where I'm like, I can't focus and you have to keep like, you know, I don't know. I just, I don't want five minutes of anything really. Let's be honest. But, um, take that as you will.

Speaker 2:Well, I got to get with it.

Speaker 1:Okay. No, let's start voice note to each other.

Speaker 2:I'll try.

Speaker 1:You know why I like a voice note? And this is, this is another, like, maybe this should be my tagline. I don't know. I hate talking on the phone. Do you like the phone?

Speaker 2:No.

Speaker 1:I hate it. No. Yeah. I think the phone is the most annoying. Like when my phone rings, I'm like mad.

Speaker 2:Right.

Speaker 1:Like who are you and why are you bothering me? Unless it's my mom. My mom can call me whenever she wants and I always will pick up the phone for her unless, you know, I really can't. Of course. Of course. Or my kids. They're allowed to.

Speaker 2:Absolutely.

Speaker 1:Okay. So kids and mom. Like my husband, maybe sometimes. Yeah. Because sometimes I know he's just calling to say hi, which don't do that. Right. I don't want you to call me to say hi. Like, shoot me a text. Give me an emoji. You know, whatever. Like, I love you. That's great. Yeah. Don't call me.

Speaker 2:Yeah, no. No, I don't want to call. I will do a voice text way before I call. But yeah.

Speaker 1:Okay, great. All right.

Speaker 2:I'm going to start doing.

Speaker 1:We're going to just voice text. I think it's voice note. Tara, you would know. You're young and cool. Is it a voice note or a voice text? It's a voice note.

Speaker 2:It's a voice note. I probably call it.

Speaker 1:Voice text since I'm 75 at heart. I know. All right. Apologies.

Speaker 2:Okay. All right. Let's move on.

Speaker 1:Let's keep on going. Let's keep on going here.

Speaker 2:Okay.

Speaker 1:Oh, gosh. We've gotten to the most awkward part.

Speaker 2:Of the show.

Speaker 1:For me personally, only because it felt like such a setup to make these women miserable. I'm like, wait, you guys get to go to this like fun vintage store and try on like fur coats, but we're at the antique vibrator store with like This very knowledgeable yet odd saleswoman person.

Speaker 2:I mean, this is when I start regretting all my life choices that I have to talk about this on a podcast.

Speaker 1:Oh, really? See, for me, I'm like, let's get into it. The Antique Vibrator Museum.

Speaker 2:Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 1:Let's go.

Speaker 2:I was not prepared for this. I was not prepared.

Speaker 1:I mean, who knew? Who knew? Who knew?

Speaker 2:Brahman knew. Brahman knew. Brahman knew.

Speaker 1:Well, she kept calling it, it was called like the antique vibrator, but she kept calling it something like maybe, did she say like the vintage vibrator museum? She kept calling it.

Speaker 2:As if that somehow makes it better.

Speaker 1:Yeah. But yeah, that was a diss. She took the- Yes.

Speaker 2:Oh yeah.

Speaker 1:Is it three or four people? I can't remember how many went, but she's like the ones that she hates the most and they're going to have the worst day in San Francisco that they could possibly have.

Speaker 2:Yeah. I mean, look, I will once again on this podcast take one for my sex. I mean, these torture devices were clearly designed by men. Sure. And I'm sure that some man long ago was like, hey, babe, you know, either you and I can have fun tonight or you can have this meat grinder, you know, as long as you get your tetanus shot first or whatever.

Speaker 1:You can spend the night in the emergency room after you enjoy yourself.

Speaker 2:Or you can enjoy me, you know, which is it going to be? So clearly a man designed these with, with themselves in mind. And I, you know, on behalf of all men apologize.

Speaker 1:That's really sweet of you. That's very sweet of you.

Speaker 2:It's the least I can do. Yeah.

Speaker 1:No, that's really kind. I also don't think, and this is again, maybe I'm playing this out too much, our germs. I don't want to touch one of those. Like the woman was touching it and like grinding it and like, handing it over. I'm like, please don't hand me this vintage vibrator. Ew.

Speaker 2:I don't know where that's been. You know who made that exact point? And it pains me to say this, but Lisa. Lisa said she's a germaphobe when talking about this.

Speaker 1:I think I missed that part. She did? What did she say?

Speaker 2:Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:Lisa said she's a germaphobe when talking about the things that we're talking about right now. And so she's one of us, Marla. And that's hard for me to.

Speaker 1:Yeah. You know what? It's a little bit hard to accept, but I think we are a power in numbers. And so if we can have Lisa Barlow in our club, I'll take her.

Speaker 2:And you know, maybe that gives us some common ground. with her when we meet her in Charleston at Bravo Fan Fest. Because up until now, I've been really scared of meeting her.

Speaker 1:Have you? But yeah, she scares me a little bit. Intimidated?

Speaker 2:Yeah, a little bit.

Speaker 1:Oh, okay.

Speaker 2:I can say it.

Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:She scares me a little bit. But maybe if I come offering, you know, the Purell... And the self-sanitizing toothbrush that you have.

Speaker 1:Yeah, you can make her like a little germ can.

Speaker 2:It's like a peace offering.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:Yeah. We'll see. Okay. Stay tuned.

Speaker 1:I love it.

Speaker 2:We'll see how that goes.

Speaker 1:I love it.

Speaker 2:You know who would have been good in that store though is Candy from Atlanta. She would have loved that store. Oh my gosh. With her own mind that she has. She would have been taking notes and like testing them out and she would have loved it.

Speaker 1:Yes. Candy. Love her.

Speaker 2:Love Candy. All right.

Speaker 1:Oh, I also loved how Bronwyn was like, and this is like just so perfect when she was like, all right, just swipe your credit card on that fur coat and we'll get out of here to break it. Like it was a $ 10, 000 fur coat.

Speaker 2:Like Lenny Kravitz's coat. How cool is that?

Speaker 1:It is very cool. But you know, only Bronwyn can just casually buy a $ 10, 000 coat on a sunny day in San Francisco. Like most of us can't do that. So I loved how she just kind of challenged her to do that. I thought that was really funny. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2:All right, so then they go to this dumpling house and they have a dumpling making contest. And Lisa, of course, schemes and cheats and becomes the winner. I do have to say, I actually liked Lisa in this episode. I thought that she was, you know, more lighthearted and funny.

Speaker 1:I mean, the lip liner destroyed me.

Speaker 2:She's still applying the lip liner to this day. She's still doing it as we're recording now.

Speaker 1:She's still applying the lip liner. It's funny because I feel like my eyes kept going to it. I'm like, why is Lisa putting on lip liner so much? And I kept thinking about it. And sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one who's obsessing about something. And then once she called her out and was like, why are you still applying? You've been doing lip liner for 10 minutes. I'm like, oh, thank God. It's not just me who noticed this. But it was so... funny. And so, and she's like, I don't care. I'm going to keep lining my lips. I'm going to keep doing it.

Speaker 2:It was the levity that I needed. I mean, you know, we've seen them fight a million times, but to have her, you know, doing that was just the laugh that I needed. And, um, Heather was on watch what happens live talking about it. And she said she thought it was a bit that Lisa was doing that. It wasn't like, what do you think? I think she's, I think she's crazy town and it was a hundred percent real.

Speaker 1:I think it was real too. I think she was just like so invested in the conversation and had to just keep reapplying and reapplying and like had no idea that she was still doing it. And then once she was called out, it was intentional, you know, like no, I'm meant to do this.

Speaker 2:She's like, I'll do what I want to do. And for once I agreed with her. So I, yeah, I don't know. I'm surprised. I'm Lisa's. She's grown on me a little bit and that's scary. My world is rocked. I don't know.

Speaker 1:You're best friends with Brittany. Lisa's grown on you.

Speaker 2:Oh my God.

Speaker 1:We've only been doing this podcast for a few weeks and you've done like a full 180. A 180.

Speaker 2:Yeah.

Speaker 1:I know.

Speaker 2:So to get into the dinner a little bit more, you know, Bronwyn asked about the museum and Kwai reveals that they bought gifts and Heather gets these Pacey's that are like mood ring, which is, didn't know those existed. Whitney gets a ball gag.

Speaker 1:Never needed to know that.

Speaker 2:Didn't need to know that. Um, Bronwyn gets a male anatomy member with hearts on it. Um, you know, I don't, I'm shocked Brittany didn't get anything. And, you know, they would have called it like Jared Jr. or something for her, you know? Sorry, did I just make you sick? No, no, no.

Speaker 1:Yes, I hate that. But I loved that she was using it like, you know, and it was like flopping around and every time somebody held it, like the talking stick.

Speaker 2:Do you know who did that? It was Angie. You know why? Because she loves a prop.

Speaker 1:You know what? And I thought of you when she initiated it. I was like, here she goes with the bits again. You know, like the literal bits this time.

Speaker 2:Come on.

Speaker 1:It's so annoying. Like you don't always have to take it there, Angie. You know, that's, it's my note for her. Yeah. Oh, good.

Speaker 2:Yes. More notes. We've got to get these over to Andy.

Speaker 1:Got to get these to our best pal, Andy Cohen. I am. I'm going to email him today.

Speaker 2:Oh my God. If only.

Speaker 1:She was like, you went to the biker bar and you were at the biker bar and you were at the biker bar. And then she stopped and then she did it again. She did another take on the biker bar. I'm like, we got it. You don't need to keep saying that. I know.

Speaker 2:Give it a rest.

Speaker 1:Yeah, literally.

Speaker 2:So we get into like the crux of this sort of conflict of this episode, which is that, you know, Bronwyn says that Kwai has spoken badly about everybody in the group except for Meredith. But Heather is like, oh, actually, no. meredith is the one that she has a problem with um and then koi's you know seems to sort of backpedal and is.

Speaker 1:Like why do you think koi was so dead set on not saying anything about meredith.

Speaker 2:Yeah i wanted to get your take on this too because i like we're a couple episodes in you know with koi now and i feel like she having a shaky start. Like, you know, I don't, I don't feel like she's found her footing yet. And I felt like this moment illustrated that. Um, do I think she said something probably not great about Meredith to, to Whitney? Yeah. I probably think that I, but obviously, you know, Meredith and Lisa kind of stood up for her in the last episode. So I think she just doesn't want to like throw Meredith under the bus, right. Given that sort of turn of events. But You know, yet again, it makes me really appreciative of Bronwyn because I feel like that is the template for like a new housewife. Like you got to come in knowing who you are and owning it. And I feel like with Kwai and with Brittany, it's like, you know. they're trying on these different outfits to see like, you know, what sticks, but you just gotta be yourself.

Speaker 1:And you gotta be yourself and you can't control your edit, which is, we've talked about before. It's like, as these shows grow and as more people watch them and then become cast members, they know how to manipulate it or they try to manipulate it. And it is so obvious and calculated and it's just disingenuous, you know? And I, I think that that's problematic. I think the thing that really bummed me out about that particular interaction was how Whitney was giving that face to Kwai, you know? Because again, I think that their friendship is important, you know? And I did not enjoy the fact that she was kind of trying to out her, essentially.

Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, and she said she's learned her lesson and that she's not going to be the town gossip anymore. Right.

Speaker 1:We'll see about that. We will see about that.

Speaker 2:Oh boy. All right. Well, what is, what is, what's the grade? What are you thinking for this?

Speaker 1:What is the grade? Um, you know what? I had a couple of moments. Here's how I'm going to start grading them. If I start drifting off and like how you said that thing about Lisa and I'm like, Oh, I don't remember that. Sometimes I'll like leave the building for a second while we're watching the show, you know? And, and so if I do that a couple of times, I'm going to, I'm going to give it a C plus.

Speaker 2:We're right in there, Marla. C plus. I think we've agreed every week.

Speaker 1:C plus. Yeah.

Speaker 2:I'm feeling the same. I just, it didn't, it didn't have the drama. It was heavier on the kind of humor. Yeah. Museum and all of that. And that's fine. Like I get that we have a balance and it can't be fireworks every week, but.

Speaker 1:Like don't bore me. Yeah.

Speaker 2:Zoning out a little bit.

Speaker 1:I know. A little bit of zoning. So we're going to give it a C plus. I also was saying to you the other day that we should have like a goodbye, some sort of official goodbye, you know, and you came up with classmates, which I love. Should it be staying classmates? Staying classmates.

Speaker 2:Are we Australian?

Speaker 1:Staying classmates. All right. Well, stay in class, kids. Stay in school. We're going to workshop this. We're auditioning it.

Speaker 2:Classmates, can you write in? How can they make their voice heard on Instagram?

Speaker 1:Shoot us a DM.

Speaker 2:Okay, yeah.

Speaker 1:We're in the DMs.

Speaker 2:Send us a voice note text.

Speaker 1:Send us a voice note, not a text. Don't send us a voice text. That's not a thing.

Speaker 2:All right.

Speaker 1:I think.

Speaker 2:I think Tara says they're going to ask on Instagram.

Speaker 1:Okay, let's do it.

Speaker 2:We'll do a poll. Let us know what our sign-off should be. We need something good.

Speaker 1:I like that because one of my favorite things about SmartList, which I've told you I love that podcast, is when they do the hook at the end of the bye. I love that. So we're going to have a little thing. We're not going to rip them off completely, but just so we have our own exit strategy and everybody knows the podcast is ending.

Speaker 2:Well, you know what? For now, Marla, you keep it classy. Class reunion.

Speaker 1:What is going on with you today?

Speaker 2:I mean, just giving these away for free. I mean, you know.

Speaker 1:No, that's what it's going to be. I'm canceling.

Speaker 2:Keep it classy.

Speaker 1:I'm canceling the poll. I'm canceling the poll.

Speaker 2:Keep it classy. Our classmates may have some bad. They're smart. They may have a better look. We'll see. We'll see. All right. We're working on it.

Speaker 1:All right. Have a good week.

Speaker 2:This has been way too much fun as always.

Speaker 1:As always.

Speaker 2:See you soon. See you on a flight wearing jeans soon.

Speaker 1:Better not. All right. Bye. Bye.
