0:14Speaker 2:Yeah, so I met Alyssa online and, you know, she's awesome. And we went out to a great first date at a, you know, hibachi restaurant in town. The food was great. The date was great.

0:33Speaker 2:No, we had great conversation. You know, we were laughing, you know, sharing stories. Like, I thought we had a great night.

0:47Speaker 2:I don't know. I can be a little awkward with that kind of stuff, but I thought so. And, like, even, like, you know, the messages we were sending, you know, leading up to the date, like, it seemed like, you know, she was definitely interested.

2:23Speaker 1:But Brandon called us and said you guys went out for hibachi, and it was a fabulous date.

2:27Speaker 3:He says he felt a connection.

2:29Speaker 1:I think he said he's not great with flirting, so he was nervous to flirt with you or something like that.

2:35Speaker 3:I think so, yeah.

2:36Speaker 1:And he sent you a text and a phone call, and you have totally ghosted him.

2:41Speaker 4:Yeah. Well.

2:44Speaker 3:How was the date for you?

2:45Speaker 4:For me, he was.

2:48Speaker 1:Well.

2:50Speaker 3:Oh, no. Oh, no, I can feel it. Something is brewing. She said, ugh.

2:56Speaker 4:He was just, he was a little rude and did quite a few things that embarrassed me. Okay, so he was rude? No, I just, I didn't vibe. Well, when the waitress was seating us, he, like, before we even sat down, was like, we are splitting the bill, just so you know, to the waitress. Um, and then when we were ordering, he did it again.

3:23Speaker 4:Came, he was like, that's split, right?

3:25Speaker 2:That's split.

3:26Speaker 3:And like, was a.

3:27Speaker 4:Little aggressive about it. And I mean, like, I expect a man to pay for the first date, but if you're going to be that way, you don't need to do it rudely. That's uncomfortable.

3:37Speaker 3:That's, that would make me uncomfortable. Like, I got you. I heard you the first time.

3:40Speaker 2:Yeah. Yeah.

3:40Speaker 3:I think it's like cool that, you know, you don't want to pay the whole thing.

3:43Speaker 3:Like happy to say split the bill.

3:44Speaker 4:But if you keep saying, And then there was also, like, you know when the chef, like, throws something at you and you're supposed to catch it in your mouth?

3:53Speaker 3:Yeah, like shrimp. He usually tosses shrimp.

3:56Speaker 2:Toss a couple shrimp.

3:57Speaker 3:Or it's like zucchini or whatever vegetable.

3:58Speaker 4:Yeah, like a shrimp for, like, a ball of rice.

4:01Speaker 4:So he did it the first time and Brandon missed. Okay. And then was like, no, no, no, dude, I can do it.

4:08Speaker 2:And then had him do.

4:08Speaker 4:It about five more times and missed every time.

4:20Speaker 3:Can we just... I need to bring him on. He's listening. Brandon, are you listening to what's going on? Yeah, I'm sorry, Alyssa.

4:26Speaker 1:So, you were a little aggressive when it came to splitting the bill.

4:31Speaker 2:I don't think I was being aggressive. I was just, you know, making it clear, you know, we wanted the bill split, like, just so we could be equal.

4:38Speaker 4:I feel like if you ask me out on a first date and, like... I agree to go with you.

4:45Speaker 4:I expect the man to pay for that.

4:47Speaker 2:I don't know about that. Like, come on now it's 2026, you know, we're online meeting people. Like obviously the whole point is like meet people and go on a date. So like, you know, it's not like, well, you know, we're just being equal, like 50, 50.

5:02Speaker 4:Like the bigger problem for me is you not being able to catch food in your mouth.

5:06Speaker 3:Like where did you grow up?

5:10Speaker 2:I think I was nervous. Like, you know, I've been to Hibachi a few times, and usually I'm, you know, I don't want to brag, but, you know, I can catch a shrimp.

5:24Speaker 2:I don't know. At one point, I was just kind of, like, just praying it would fall out of my mouth, no matter what it was.
