SPEAKER_05:Welcome to Fantasy for the Dogs. Please like, comment, share, subscribe, all that good stuff so we can get in your algorithm and stay in your algorithm.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Welcome to the ninth episode of Fantasy for the Dogs. I'm your boy L Boog, and I got my dogs with me. JD Q2 stick. What's good, fellas? Week three is in the books. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06:Oh man, he had to redeem himself of scoring 89.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah, we definitely had a bro battle. So let's um let's let's actually get into our league. So we had uh a bro battle that went down. We had a bro that put up a buck 60 plus, and then we had another bro that got Brock Bowers back. Where y'all want to see?
SPEAKER_06:Got his first dub. We're gonna start up with the bro battle.
SPEAKER_05:We gonna start up with the bro battle. I think we should save the bro battle for last.
SPEAKER_06:Oh, well, well, Jordan, go start off by by letting us know how you feel about your first dub, Jordan. Let us know.
SPEAKER_05:Feels great. Feels great to be on the winning board. Dropped a smooth 143. You know, shout out Brock Bowers, shout out Matthew Golden. Uh you know, Wandell Robinson came through for me. You know, I'm just happy to be here, man. I'm happy to be in the winner's circle.
SPEAKER_04:Revenge game. But Wandell, you got that off. I needed that. Needed that.
SPEAKER_01:You were in last place and you beat the guy that was in first place.
SPEAKER_05:Mm-hmm. Hey man, we don't we don't brag about we don't brag about that just yet. We we want to just we just want to keep keep moving in the in the right direction, you know what I'm saying? That's all we that's all I'm trying to do.
SPEAKER_01:You you overcorrect him. You overcorrect him for week one. You supposed to celebrate me. You supposed to celebrate what happened.
SPEAKER_05:Hey man, I'm happy to. You'll know when you go get another one. But my team right now is still battling a uh a huge injury pause. Hopefully, this week Puka Nakua decides to play. And um, then then we could really then I could really start talking crazy.
SPEAKER_06:Then you could really be happy to be here.
SPEAKER_05:Go ahead, man. Hey, hey, man.
SPEAKER_06:Hey, yo. Hey now, though, before y'all get into the broad battle, yeah. I put up a buck 60 smooth, plus close to the buck 70 and shit, man. The receiving core finally came through consistent for me. Shout out Drake, shout out Drizzy Drake. Finally, the Falcons finally decided to show up and play football this past week. Uh, granted, it was against the Packers, but you know, we'll take the wins as they come. Uh felt good to get back into the win column after a week, two loss, but uh also just like a statement week.
SPEAKER_06:You know what I mean? It's early, so we're just gonna see. We're gonna ride the high, but we're gonna see where we get to a week four. Ah, and I'm gonna transition it off into y'all brotherly battle, man. It wasn't so much brotherly love going on. Which way y'all want to go with this? Sticker, you start nah. I'll let the brother Lamont go first.
SPEAKER_00:No, I'm gonna go first. Oh shit. Okay. Excuse me.
SPEAKER_01:Listen, I I told I told these guys after putting up 89 last week that I had an easy matchup this week.
SPEAKER_04:Oh losing my nine is easy, but okay.
SPEAKER_00:I said it was easy. It wasn't easy.
SPEAKER_04:Losing my nine. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_01:It wasn't easy, but it was breezy. It was beautiful, and you bet and you better cover your girl. Oh shit. First episode, Quilly versus Jordan. Episode two, Sticky versus Mike. And we see how they went so far.
SPEAKER_04:You want to break down your players or are you gonna leave it there?
SPEAKER_01:Um Christian Watson was actually my only non-quarterback touchdown, and he played on Thursday. So I went a whole Sunday without getting many notifications. But I guess yards was all I needed. You feel me?
SPEAKER_02:Kyron had 20.
SPEAKER_01:Kyron had almost 22 off of just yards. Rashid Rice had 16 off of just yards. Tyler Shuck is actually the player that actually got me some touchdowns. Uh he gave me 25, four touchdowns, 255 yards. Pickup, too.
SPEAKER_04:Nice pickup, my boy.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, well, wasn't much else outside of that. Only five from the tight end, only eight from my first round pick, only 12 from my second round pick. So it was slow outside of that, but Christian Watson's holler shuck, Kyron Williams was what I needed. How'd your team do?
SPEAKER_04:So uh 139, 130. I do want to start. Jordan, my boy. Yeah, I'm here. So far, you're right, man. When the bros right, I have I have no issue. I have no issue coming to the room, bringing it to me and saying, You're right. Again, um, if I would have started fucking Bryce Young, I would have probably won. But um again, I got him in the I got Drake May in the 13th round, so it's really not hurt me, but he was gonna take me to the next level. But I do again, when AJ comes back, I do want to revisit this, but I'm a little nervous because he's mentally fucked up.
SPEAKER_04:I don't know if y'all heard he was crying on the sidelines saying he don't even know what's going on, so it's it's a lot of mental impact. But um, it's been a lot of bad quarterback play. But um, overall, I'm still still two and one. Uh the the the positives I've seen out of this is uh Jeremiah Love got the full got the full clip and he showed why he's who he is. Um my tight end uh Tyler Warren is very consistent for me, gave me 15. Uh, I was happy to see he had nine catches.
SPEAKER_04:So um hopefully that's here to stay with Alec Pierce out. JSN is JSN. Um my boy Luther almost pulled it off for me. I couldn't wait to put in a group chat, walk him down. And I wasn't even gonna talk shit to these things. I was gonna talk shit to your hype man over there because he was poking the bear all night.
SPEAKER_00:Poking the bear all night.
SPEAKER_04:But but overall, I'm cool. Um again, I didn't expect my biggest thing I liked out of this week was uh I got to see Jeremiah. I didn't think Jeremiah Love was gonna get the job that fast. I'm happy to see that a little worried. I'm actually more worried about Hampton more than May because May being May being a 13th round pick, he's an easy adjustment to uh to find uh a replacement. But with um Hampton being my second round pick and the up and down, it's a little worried, but um it is what it is.
SPEAKER_04:I'm two and one, man. I'm ready to go on the next week. I'm not a September champ. You heard me?
SPEAKER_06:Chargers gotta find a way to fix that damn offense before we start starting. Listen, to be honest with you, everybody on high alert in that charger offense. But we'll get into it. We'll talk about it, we'll talk about it. Shout out to shout out to you. Shout out to you, Jordan. You you two for two on the uh episode with being right because uh you was chatting that charger shit, man. Listen, we didn't want to talk about it, but damn, you was right about that shit too.
SPEAKER_06:Shit. But carry on, carry on, Pa, because Jordan is definitely cooking with his two for twos and the rights, bruh. That charger hype, he that shit dying down real fast in week three.
SPEAKER_04:All right, but before we move to segment two around the league, I do want to um I do want to speak on the bad quarterback play. It's like um it's a lot of bad quarterbacks going. But I don't even want to speak on it. I just I just um just uh mention that it's a lot of bad quarterback play. But let's um let's move around the league in our around the league segment. We're bringing y'all news from the teams from how they perform week two carrying into week three.
SPEAKER_04:Uh, we want to give you updated injuries, and then we're gonna highlight the players that went off, and then we're also gonna acknowledge the players that didn't do well. Who wants to start off?
SPEAKER_05:Let me get mine out the way. Okay. So the Arizona Cardinals, you know, they played the San Francisco 49ers, um Mr. Wilson, Mr. Wilson had had uh close to 26 points with 11 receptions, 89 yards, a tug, and 17 targets. That's a lot. That is a lot, you know. So that is good for um Mr. Jeremiah Love. You know what I mean? That's good for um that's good for Trey McBride. So now Jacoby Brissett can really start doing what he needs to do as a quarterback to hopefully propel this Cardinals offense to I'm not gonna say what we think, but propel those to a few more wins this year.
SPEAKER_05:Moving on, the Rams.
SPEAKER_06:Oh, before you before you before you move on, right? I was like, I think we're on the same, I think we're on the same time. Go ahead. That that I mean, we might be, listen, for for an offense that we didn't expect to really light, like you know, light anybody up or light the board up or whatever the case is with the Cardinals, you got a lot of fantasy implications with a lot of these guys in that offense. Like Jacoby Brissett is playing better than Drake May right now, and that's no shot to you, Mike.
SPEAKER_06:That's just reality. Jeremiah Love taking the taking the job there. Michael Wilson providing to his own, Trey McBride. It's a lot of offense there.
SPEAKER_04:I just wanted to say we had we had the bro back with Michael Wilson. He really took a cushion uh with him and um got God when the game he had. So I'm gonna give you a props on that. Give you your props. Hey man, appreciate you. Boy, JD, my fault, my boy.
SPEAKER_01:That man might be wrapped up already.
SPEAKER_05:Oh man. Go ahead, Joe. The Rams. Oh boy. The Rams took a loss. 26 to 30. That's the Denver Broncos. Now, um Matthew Stafford had close to 23 points in this game. He threw the ball 50. By my I want to say he threw the ball 55 times. He had almost he had 390 yards. He had two carries for two carries for three yards, two TDs, but two interceptions. Did y'all here's a y'all probably been all over the news and social media over the last since since Sunday night.
SPEAKER_05:Did y'all know that Matt Stafford has 33 pick sixes? Did y'all know that?
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, I did. That is crazy.
SPEAKER_05:The record is the record. Whether it's the record or not, that is crazy. 33 pick sixes? Absurd. That's all I'm using.
SPEAKER_01:He's not a real, he's played a lot of years.
SPEAKER_05:I get it, but Aaron Rodgers has played a lot of years, and he ain't got that many pick sixes. So I'm not gonna use that. I'm not, I'm not, I'm not doing that. I'm not doing that. I'm keeping my standard where it is, and you know, like, like, am I saying he he listen, he's a hall of fame lock for sure, but golly, 33? My guy, that's that's crazy.
SPEAKER_01:I'm not gonna believe Aaron Rodgers. Don't even throw the ball like that before.
SPEAKER_05:No more. He's thinking you just said he's been thinking something since he left the Packers. Okay, all right. No, no, no, no, no. You just gotta let sometimes you just gotta let people talk. So that's fine. That's fine. Y'all want to comment on this game? Because I just want to say something real quick. The Rams were up 16-0 at halftime, and these dudes scored like scored like 21 uninjury points or something like that. Something crazy like that. Like the Broncos really showed that they are a the definition of a second half team.
SPEAKER_05:But you guys want to comment on that? I just got a question for the bros.
SPEAKER_04:Uh, that Devontae Adams Pants of Team matchup. Is Devontae Adams the best receiver of our adulthood? Like, I know when we were kids, it was T.O. Randy Moss. We had a little bit of Jerry Rice, who were young young. But is Devontae the best of our adulthood?
SPEAKER_05:Um I don't know, because we got Antonio Brown. He's still doing it though.
SPEAKER_04:The argument I made over AB is I'm still he I'm still killing while y'all wish y'all was here.
SPEAKER_06:Yeah, yeah. That's where I was gonna get at. That's where I was going. I agree with my.
SPEAKER_05:I mean, there's what what do they say? Um there's context to everything. So I I'll I'll let that slide because let's be honest, the worst quarterback that Devontae Adams has had in his career so far was Derek Carr. Can we say that?
SPEAKER_04:Come, we can't do that because that's that's how they lined up for him. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_05:Well, but but this is what I'm saying is context. He's played with three, he's played with two Hall of Fame quarterbacks and then Derek Carr. No, no disrespecting Derek Carr. You are, but he was still putting up numbers with Derek Carr, too.
SPEAKER_06:You do he's just you are aware when when he was but when he was with the Jets, remember Aaron got hurt and he was with the Jets. And he was playing with those backups. Yeah, he was playing with those backups and still doing his thing. So the Vatican for me, yeah, I'm gonna go with my on this one. Like, like I and I love, you know, being a Falcon fan, Julio is my guy, but Julio, I think, left Atlanta and went to Tennessee and then went to Philly and did nothing in the last two.
SPEAKER_06:So it's like, you know, a lot of like he said, the wish you still could. After you he left a team that he was, you know, to be on for what? I think the Bante was in Green Bay for seven, eight years, about that. And post that you go to two separate teams. What I think he's I think the first player in NFL history or one of three or something like that to be have double-digit touchdowns for like three different teams, three or four different teams in his career, or some shit like that.
SPEAKER_06:Yeah, Tay, Tay is in that, he's getting up there in that Fitz conversation for me, where like he could really, despite the quarterback situation that Fitz had, it's like Devontae can really just make it happen with anybody a backup, a Hall of Famer, a regular quarterback, a starter just for the week. Like, so I I got mine on that one. Now, the best, no, but he's definitely top. I'd I give him top three, top five at best. Something like that.
SPEAKER_05:Fair enough. Sticky, you want to comment on this? Anyway.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, I was trying to think of who broke who I mean it's hard to compare him to people who haven't had their full careers yet. You know what I'm saying? So you gotta compare him to people of his age, and he's the best. He's the best that's been doing it as long as he has.
SPEAKER_06:Matter of fact, not to cut you all sick, but to compare him to somebody like Mike Evans, because him and Mike, I think, came in the same year. If not, Mike was 15 and Devontae was 14, I think it was. But they came in at similar times. Like you could you could throw them up in a comparison, maybe.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, and I got him over, Mike Evans. Is it is it far?
SPEAKER_06:Is it like a far? Like, is it like is is Devontae running away in conversation from Mike Evans, or is it more in a like a Devontae's like that A.
SPEAKER_01:They divide it too hard. I'm not saying that they're completely different levels from each other, but it doesn't take me long to provide that.
unknown:Okay.
SPEAKER_01:I would have Devontae Adams over Mike Evans.
SPEAKER_05:So just like I said before, the 49ers played the Cardinals and Brock Purdy. Um Brock Purdy needs to be needs needs to need to be in these conversations, y'all. So far, so good. 15 for 27. I want to say 247, four tids, two carries for 34 yards. Bro, he's been he had almost 32 points. Bro, he's playing a complete, he's playing complete games. Like he's he's doing what we know that he can do. And he just got paid. You know what I mean? And he's dealing with injuries.
SPEAKER_05:And you know what I mean? Like, we can keep saying in this, in this, in this, but I'm gonna give him a lot of credit. I I had him as overrated at one point, but then I thought about it. I had I thought about it and was like, nah, he's just he's doing what he needs to do to win. He's doing what he needs to do to win. And you and you we we gotta start looking at him as one of those top guys. I don't know how you guys feel about that, but Brock Purdy this season is looking like a top tier quarterback.
SPEAKER_05:I agree.
SPEAKER_01:I would say he's looking like a top 10 quarterback. For sure.
SPEAKER_06:Yeah, he was he was in my top 10 as far as quarterback records. He's only gonna get better. He's literally shit only gonna get better. Mike Evans and those guys make him better. Like Kittle being in the lineup, Mike Evans obviously, you know, left the game at one point, but then he had like two touchdowns before he left. Like it's like, come on. You know what I mean? Like, this is challenge where you still got CNC healthy. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_06:They like the young back behind them, cause um just a lot. Like, and Brock's willing and dealing. So I like meat by pretty.
SPEAKER_03:Martin, you want to comment on that? Nah, nah, you got it, bro.
SPEAKER_01:I'd like to see what he does against the Broncos next week.
SPEAKER_03:Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01:Same because his his schedule, you know, like he he just did this against the Cardinals. We don't really know what to think of the Cardinals defense. I don't think they're very good. But he still did it to them. And then the game before that was the Dolphins. And then week one was against the Rams with the without Donald and with Garrett getting hurt. So if we if we see the same, if we see the same Purdy this week against the Broncos, then it's for real.
SPEAKER_01:And he's not top ten, he's top five possibly.
SPEAKER_06:I like that I like that. I like that perspective. It takes care.
SPEAKER_05:Okay, uh, going to the upset of the week. Upset of the week. Knock me out of my surprise. The the Seahawks and the Commanders. The com the Seahawks.
SPEAKER_01:That was the second upset of the week. Oh, wow.
SPEAKER_05:Well, but we'll we'll talk about whatever you got in mind. I don't know, but this one is an upset for sure. Yeah, this one was the upset of the week for me for sure. Yeah. 31, 31, 33. Um, the Seahawks took a cross-country trip um to Maryland to play the commanders. But no matter where JSN goes, he he travels, y'all. That boy good. JSN good, y'all. I don't know who else to put it, bruh. That boy good. He he put up, he put up, if my if my numbers is right, uh a hundred and hold on, hold on.
SPEAKER_05:Ten receptions, ten receptions, a buck twenty eight on fourteen targets with two tugs. That's crazy, yo. Yo, he's the best. He yo, if Jamar, if Jamar doesn't have that dud in week one, I think I think. Think you can have that conversation of who's of who's number one receiver right now. But right now it's JSN. And I respect it. I respect it. No matter what they do, they give that man the ball. Like they give that man the ball. And he's he's just the guy.
SPEAKER_05:He's the guy there. And uh we can all appreciate good wide receiver play. I feel like we we can all appreciate that, especially especially a guy like him. Um he gives me Antonio Brown vibes because he could take a screen, a slant, and take it to the house with no problem. And he's a technician on the low, too. So I I like I like what we saw in JSN this week. Mott, care to add to that? Nah, he's um he's like that, man.
SPEAKER_04:I gotta, it was a still, it was a still pick. It's funny because we were thinking he was gonna dip a little bit because he lost his offensive coordinator and teams will key in on him. But when you a technician, you can't lock him up, man.
SPEAKER_01:I agree. It really looks unstoppable. Yeah, like you know the ball is going to him, and no matter how contested the catch is, I had St.
SPEAKER_04:Brown right with him, but St. Brown had like a little dud game, so now he fell falls behind. But St. Brown was keeping pace until last game.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah. All right, y'all. I'm gonna move to the AFC West. Y'all cool with that? All right, y'all. I don't know where to start, but I think I'm gonna get this out the way. The Chargers, let me just get this out the way. The Chargers lost to the Bills 24-16. I'm surprised they even got I'm surprised. I'm surprised. Um but the reason why I'm surprised is because Justin Herbert only 14 points, and he didn't even really get 14. You had 226 yards passing with 20, he went 20 for 34 for 226, one touchdown, one interception, four carries for 17 yards.
SPEAKER_05:But as a whole, as a whole, that that team throw them away, start over, bro. I don't know how to put it. Like they they they so far have been the biggest disappointment. And I said it early, and um I'm kind of like torn because we want to see, we want, we really wanted to see what Mike McDaniel would do with a guy like uh Justin Herbert and with those weapons that he has. But if was a fifth, we'd all be drunk. So uh uh uh I'll let y'all let y'all talk about this for a little bit.
SPEAKER_05:No, we're gonna dive in that more in the show. Let's let's just go around the thing.
SPEAKER_00:Let's let's go around like that's what I'm saying. Let y'all talk about it.
SPEAKER_06:All right, uh, I mean, charges are the chargers. I thought they were make a big move, a big leap as far as you know being a constructive team for fantasy, but like I even own the Charger myself, speaking on it to Quentin Johnston, thinking that he, you know, the big big year is coming. And here we are going into week four. And it's like, all right, something's gonna happen, and it just shouldn't be that, not just with a Jim, uh Jim Harbaugh-led team, but just you got Herbert, you got part, like you got Hampton, you got McConkey, you got Gaston, you know what I mean, and Joku, I believe, got hurt.
SPEAKER_06:I think they had two tight ends get hurt for real, but still in all, like the names there are pretty comparable. So uh Chargers just confuse me. Harbaugh's on the hot seat as it is, so maybe they get a new coach at some point. Who knows?
SPEAKER_04:I do feel though, with just the Lola averages and them having so much talent, it's going to turn around. Our schedule doesn't get easier the next three weeks, but I just think that lower averages they will get better though. I I'm hoping maybe because I have Hampton, but yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_06:Seattle not gonna make it no better. They go and they go to Seattle this week, so they gotta deal with Seattle after taking the loss. Right. Pissed off Seattle, pissed off Seattle.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I don't know if I can see the Chargers getting any better.
SPEAKER_00:No get right thing.
SPEAKER_01:They already lost to the Cardinals and the Raiders. It's there ain't no easy games this year for them.
SPEAKER_06:Can't be the playoff team, can't not be the playoff uh team. It's crazy.
SPEAKER_05:You know, you know the you know the Chargers have have the potential going 0-9. That's crazy. And we and I'm I'm gonna just leave it at that. Um like I stated before, the Broncos played the Rams in a thrilling Sunday night game. Those are the Sunday night games we like to see. Um Bo Bo Nicks started off real shaky, but then turned it on in the second half. Bo Nicks had 17, he went 17 for 34, 186, two tids, an interception, four carries for seven yards, and a touchdown.
SPEAKER_05:And um if the Broncos defense can not get if the Broncos defense can figure out how to stop putting themselves in a hole, I think we'll see a way better team. And the offense just gotta get the offense just gotta start rolling in the first half. Like it just looked, it look it looked sloppy. It looked like the Rams are gonna run away with it in the second half. And then both said, hey yo, put the team on my back paws and we're gonna we gonna get this.
SPEAKER_05:We trust me. That's basically what we said was trust me. And um I appreciate uh teams that well, yeah, I appreciate teams that do that. You know, they they they were they were very resilient, very resilient, kept fighting, said, you know, nobody's gonna stop us. Like we can only we're only stopping ourselves, and and that's what happened. You know, they they ended up playing really well in the second half.
SPEAKER_01:I feel like that defense is struggling because that offense can't move the ball. It keeps putting them in in bad predicaments. And then in the second half, when the offense finally can move the ball, that's when the defense is actually like, all right, now we actually get 80 yards to stop you. There's so many three and outs for Denver in the first half of all their games. They're not giving that defense a chance. The running backs can't run and and and Bonex can't pass in the first half.
SPEAKER_06:That's gonna be their Achilles Hill to me at run game now. Like when it all shakes out, Denver's a very good team, but over the years of them being a good or great team potentially, it's it's their run game is is not the worst in the NFL, but it's not the best. And it it actually could can be with the old Knicks-led offense, they they could have a potential, you know, shot at being a top 10 run game in all in the league or whatever the case is. But you, you know, last year it was JK and others.
SPEAKER_06:JK gets hurt now. There's just others, you know, RJ Harvey and company, or whatever the case is. This year it's JK, you know, Harvey's, I think, hurt still. I'm not entirely sure, like, you know what I mean, how that's gonna go. But then you got Coleman, I think, who was out this past week. It's like, but then they got rid of another running back, uh, I think before the season started that was there last year. It was like uh McLaughlin or whoever it was, you love McLaughlin.
SPEAKER_06:So it's like they they are going through this running back spiel. Uh, you know, Denver's so much up and down like to start games, it's kind of hard. But fantasy perspective, uh, I just hate to see my boy Waddle go through it early. So I hope my boy get right some point. My boy Waddle mean.
SPEAKER_04:Nah, I just um I actually think Broncos is in a good place. They um their defense is so good, it's gonna give their offense time to catch up. So as long as they they don't get behind the sticks with their record, they'll be fine. Yeah, yeah, that too.
SPEAKER_05:Shout out to the Raiders. Catching the dub.
SPEAKER_06:The Raiders got a shout out on a podcast. Ain't that something?
SPEAKER_05:The Raiders are the Raiders are the Raiders are three and oh. They went into New Orleans, they walked into the trap and took over the trap. Brock Bowers, shout out to Brock Bowers, bro. 27 points, 10 receptions, 116 yards on 13 targets, and one touchdown. I don't care what y'all say. That boy good. Um Ashton Genty's been holding it down. Shout out to him. Um shout out the shout out to Uncle Kirk Cousins, Kirk, Kirko Bang, shout out to him. Um but this team revolved, this team is showing us this year that they're doing it by committee.
SPEAKER_05:You know, like Brock Bowers won't get his targets, but they're showing us that this is these are team wins. These are three solid team wins. And we could all appreciate team wins, you know, because you know when one, you know, they they they they're exciting to watch. I'll leave it, I'll I'll say that the most. They are very exciting to watch.
SPEAKER_06:Hey man, shout out to uh shout out to your perspective there. I'm I'm gonna just throw out the little caveat in the room here uh on this pod. Shout out to the bros, or be being the only ones in our fantasy league that have owned Brock Bowers. I had a first two. Now Jordan has him. It's like the bros got Brock Bowers, so they already know what's up with it, man. The rest of the league will have to catch up with that. But Brock is definitely top three tight end in the league.
SPEAKER_06:It's nice to see him back, and it's nice to give it give the spark and the lift to that damn Raiders offense, and hopefully they can keep shit going. Uh Genty, as long as he can stay healthy, is you know, remain the dual threat that he is. And, you know, maybe they, you know, find that eventual one, you know, one A wide receiver. Because right now you got Shred Tucker, I think, who had a decent game the week prior. Cody White had that two touchdown game last week as well.
SPEAKER_06:And then you got, you know, a plethora of other guys kind of just stepping up, Michael Mayer while Bro Bowers was out. So it's like, and then uh Washington took a uh long touchdown down last week, too, this past week too. So hey man, I guess the sky's the limit for the Raiders. It's crazy to think that.
SPEAKER_05:I mean, they're in a tough division because I'm gonna let I'm gonna just say they're in a tough division. And um, Sticky, you got something to say? Mart, y'all got something to say?
SPEAKER_01:Uh I think it's crazy that Kirk Cousins only had 22 completions and 10 of them was the Brock Bowers. And the other three was to Michael Mayer, so there was only nine catches to go around for the receivers and the running back. Hey, get it done. That's Kirk Cousins at his best.
SPEAKER_06:And shout out to shout out to Fantasy Kirk, because I believe isn't Kirk Cousins top 10 as of right now in the fantasy. I mean, it's the first three weeks, but give a little Kirk Coaching's love for I think he's had like weeks of 15, 19, and like 22 or something like that. I'm like, okay, hey, shit. Uh somebody I'm gonna be speaking on later uh has had that same walk down the first couple weeks of the year, and it's very much a surprise. Can't wait to get into that shit.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, it looks like the I prefer passing touchdowns with nine. Wow. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06:Wasn't doing that in Atlanta, folks. Wasn't doing that in Atlanta.
SPEAKER_05:Pissing me off. All right. You got something to say about this?
SPEAKER_04:Uh the um when we did our tight end episode, when we did our tight end episode, which we'll be dropping um soon. Y'all can listen to it uh wherever y'all get podcasts. I said that uh the reason Bowers was number one is he's gonna be the JSN for the Raiders. And like Sticky said, he had how many catches out of 22 attempts?
SPEAKER_02:10.
SPEAKER_04:That's 53. 10 completions. And and there was only 42 to go around for the whole season. That's JSN like. Yeah, uh, shout out to Brock Bowers.
SPEAKER_05:The Chiefs had a scrimmage this week. Um scrimmage. They had a scrimmage. Scrimmage 24 24 10. Um Kenneth Walker is going to go down as one of the best free agent signings that we've seen in recent history. He had almost 22 points off of 18 carries, but he only had like 70 yards, one touchdown, two receptions for three yards, and another touchdown. I told y'all this before. Kenneth Walker is the X factor for this Chiefs team. If Kenneth Walker continues to do what what he's doing, do not, I repeat, do not be surprised if the Chiefs win this division.
SPEAKER_05:They will be, they are the standard. Minus last year, they are the standard in this division.
SPEAKER_01:Like I wouldn't be surprised if they win everything.
SPEAKER_05:They might, they might win it all. That's how good they are. And we in like I feel like we all felt some type of way when they lost Mick Duffy and Chris Jones is getting older. But it's like they're still figuring out, like, okay, if we just rely on this, if we rely on this guy, I think we'll be just fine. And I agree. I agree. I like I like the Chiefs right now to win this division. Um, but they got a, in my opinion, they got a big game this week.
SPEAKER_05:But I'll let we'll speak on that a little bit later.
SPEAKER_06:Not not much to go over in the scrimmage outside of the big the big injury news with Devon H and getting uh getting hurt in that first window. What was that? Like the first drive of the game for real, about second or third play for real for them. Uh tapping in on uh towards ACL, I believe it was. It's big. It's just big in fantasy. Shout out to the uh one of the dogs on the pod. One of the dogs didn't take Devon H in, and thank goodness he didn't, because this would have been a sad episode, folks.
SPEAKER_06:But uh, you know, that that sucks for anybody. That sucks for anybody that's drafted Devon A, that's drafted Devon H this year. Um gotta replace it uh with Ollie Gordon. That's you know, in the by committee. There's gonna be waiver claims out the wazoo for him tomorrow morning, but you know, I think that's worth noting outside of that. Uh, you know, it's it's the dolphins. I mean, give or take, they're they're like how I thought the Raiders would be, and the Raiders are surprising folks, and the Dolphins aren't.
SPEAKER_06:So, I mean, what else is new in Miami?
SPEAKER_05:All right, those are those are all my teams. Whenever you guys whoever wants to take it over, please.
SPEAKER_06:I'll take over. I'm gonna run, I'm gonna run through real real smooth, real common, quick. Ugh, NFC South. My boys got their first government season, all rise, rise up. Hey, my Falcons, they did their one, twos and they threes, bruh. Uh, we competed all three levels, loved it. Bijan had 35, Drake had 28. Shout out Jersey back in back in good company now. Uh back back in being in a in a top 12, uh, top 10 wide receiver type of conversation after the first two weeks of uh dudting because of no quarterback.
SPEAKER_06:Shout out Michael Penix coming back to the lineup, looked real crisp, real smooth, uh stayed in the pocket, made a lot of decent throws from the pocket, you know what I mean? And that's very much a pleasant sight to see, even if it's going against Green Bay, because you know, you you want to see that at an encouragement after after a third ACL tear. Um, so that that's good. Uh Kyle Pitts again was a no-show. I I don't I don't know. I don't know if he's ever gonna show.
SPEAKER_06:Uh so yeah, that'll be uh coming in the segment later on the start and set, but uh, and I'll get more into that around that time. Uh listen, uh Tyler Shuck and the Saints. Oh man, listen, Tyler Shuck having that 24. Hey, it's crazy because him having 24 and Chris Alabave having the games that he's been having. I completely Chris Alabe finished with around 20. Uh, I don't have his points in front of me. That was my misnote. But um that running game.
SPEAKER_06:I think the Saints uh that'll be the one thing that they really lack. But where they lack something, something else kind of picks up that they really weren't seeing too much of. Now that Tyler Shuck is uh becoming just a little bit better week by week, uh coming off of what? Starting after week 10 last year, I think that was. You gotta think developing um a receiver course, you know, it takes time. But Bailey's been decent, like I mentioned before on the pod.
SPEAKER_06:You have Jawan Johnson, who, you know, the pod was trying to convince to me was decent last year. And I'm like, all right, well, he's been pretty decent to start the first three weeks. So y'all got me uh looking at Jawan Johnson a little bit more and giving him love on the pod when I talk about these damn saints. Um it's worth noting that Etien will be out uh for what foreseeable future. You don't really know a timetable on it. I'm gonna go out on the limb and say hamstring injuries tend to linger, but they say there's no timetable, so that's just not a good sign.
SPEAKER_06:Um Camara being the guy that's gonna take over. That's not a better sign. It's not a run and go grab Alvin Kamara if you don't have him. Um Kendrick Miller's probably the safer bet with that one. Uh the Bucks. Uh I'm gonna I'm gonna put I'm gonna you know stay here for a little bit. The Bucks I just don't know. Baker got paid, took a nap. I don't know. My boy, he put out camp outside of Tampa uh Raymond Jane Stadium or whatever they call it now. Uh he put pitch the tent out there and just started taking sleep pills.
SPEAKER_06:And I don't know. He's laying in front of the stadium. I just bro just forgot how to play football. Uh I don't know. Uh no Mike Evans in Tampa. It just looks it looks shitty. It looks crappy. Doesn't look like an offense that I want to run to and play football for right now. Um Chris Godwin is having veteran-like weeks. And I mean veteran-like weeks like, but what do he give you about about four or five, four or five point six, maybe something like that on the bench?
SPEAKER_06:I don't know what, you know, or in the lineup, wherever he was. It's like right, like you know, you're not even trusting that as a guy to plug and play and stream. Um, no tight end play. Bucky Irvin had a weak week. I believe he finished with like seven, six or seven. Um Ted Hurst was a bright spot grabbing his first touchdown, and he finished with 11. And his first three weeks, he's been trending more upward. So I would give a little bit of love that way if I was doing anything for the Bucs as far as love, because I believe Ted Hurst has had weeks of six, nine, and eleven.
SPEAKER_06:So I mean that's a tick upward. Uh Abuka, uh kind of listen, it's if Baker's playing bad, then Abuka can't be playing good. So, and that's not Abuka's fault. So, I'm not gonna put too much on the mechanic of Abuka. Uh the Panthers last week was uh a bit of a down a down spell for him after the first couple of weeks, thinking that that offense was gonna do good. Coker got hurt again in the game. This time it was his squads, so yeah, so far they're seeing him as day to day.
SPEAKER_06:Um But another day-to-day injury, uh two weeks in a row, him leaving the game early is just not a good sign. Um got the tight ends a little bit mixed in more this week, Bryce Young did from what I did notice uh about that. Uh I would say don't temper your expectations on what you've seen with Tet the first three weeks. Uh he's gonna get better as the season goes. Right now, I guess the Panthers are just having a whole lot of fun exploring what Bryce Young can be in the offense amongst everybody, but I feel like as the season goes on, Tet McMillan will be somebody that he keys on for the season.
SPEAKER_06:So, you know, don't run away and don't panic about uh Tet McMillan right now. Okay, moving on. AFC North. This is gonna be fun. I like uh I'm gonna like it here. So I own Jalen Warren in fantasy, and last week my boy had no uh nobody to steal carries from me. So my boy was the workhorse last week, and he wound up grabbing 20 points. Uh I I like uh listen, everybody anybody can like a running back that'll get you 20. But uh how about 20 with what?
SPEAKER_06:No touchdowns? Like that's that's that's fairly decent. Fairly decent, very great, very great week. Um staying staying with that. A guy that I gave some gave some schneid to last week. Yeah, gave some bullshit to just because I ain't seen him nowhere. He finally decided to pop into the end zone last week. Shout out DK Metcalf scoring last week. So I was actually very much surprised. Uh that was a uh pretty decent game, too. The outcome of that game was not what I expected uh with uh Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.
SPEAKER_06:Uh Burrow just Burrow just kind of pulls us. He always shows us his goddamn card. Every damn time he plays a team like Pittsburgh. It's like when Burrow needs to make the throws, when Burrow needs to be Burrow, he could be Burrow sometimes, but you need Burrow to be Burrow all the damn time. Um T. Higgins had 21 on that side. Burrow had finished with 22, and Jamar finished with 25. Hey, uh, and and Aaron turned back the clock. I want y'all's perspective on Aaron turning back the clock at a little 23-point game this week.
SPEAKER_06:How y'all feel about uh Pittsburgh going forward? What do we expect the next couple weeks from Pittsburgh?
SPEAKER_05:Aaron Rodgers, when given time, can still get the ball and can still make almost any throw, if not every throw. He is he's amazing when he gets the time and when he's on when he's on with his team. He's he they're making the right strides. And I'll leave it at that.
SPEAKER_06:What about uh Cincinnati on the other side? How do we feel about Cincinnati taking taking the L?
SPEAKER_04:It's just a division game. They usually split, so uh it's a division game. I'm not I'm not overlegging it. It's words and it was balling.
SPEAKER_06:I I will say that um shout out Mike Gosecki also. We had uh turned out a decent week, too. Uh if if Burrow's gonna feature throwing the ball to the tight end, man, uh Mike Geseckki, man, it might be worth a stream on a week where we ain't too sure about tight end matchups or something of that sort. I'm just saying, listen, I'm just I'm just saying, I'm just saying. But uh Derek Henry and the Ravens, Lamar Jackson and the boys, however you want to call it.
SPEAKER_06:Them boys was in Brazil last week. Them boys was in Brazil. Yeah, I mean taking on uh the Dallas Cowboys. I was about to call them America's team, but I don't know who the hell still calls them that. But uh Derrick Henry grabbed two more studs. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. GD Lyons, just they fans. They ads. Anyway, uh Derek Carey finished with 21. Uh Lamar had a fairly decent game as well. Don't have his number in front of me. I also uh uh misnoted on that one as well.
SPEAKER_06:But uh yeah, no, uh the Ravens with Zay Flowers in the lineup are a different uh team dynamic just because you know they have to actually watch out for somebody that's made themselves into a wide receiver one at this point in their career, which is very much decent because you know you want that, especially when you were featured as a two so much, and no one really thought that you would take that role. So see Zay Flowers back, it's good. Uh Bateman, shout out Rashad Bateman, actually getting some some love two weeks in a row.
SPEAKER_06:I mean, um had a decent week this week from what I didn't notice. Um, more targets, you know, as a wide receiver, you just you want to be targeted enough. Yeah, you want to be able to make all the catches that you're targeted with. That doesn't always happen, but hey, it is what it is. Uh and then the last team, the Browns, which actually is worth getting into. I know Lamont wanted to shed some light on that. Um, I mean, I'll throw his points in the air, but I believe Deshaun finished with 22 this week.
SPEAKER_06:If not, maybe he had about 19. It's one of those numbers that I'm not seeing in my uh face right now. But um Deshaun Watson. Well, how how does the pod feel about the way that Deshaun Watson's wheeled Cleveland to uh just a decent two-on-one? Cleveland's two-on-one. Like and Deshaun Watson's actually playing good football.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah, I just want to give him his props because as we go around the league and we see Baker struggling, we see Drake May struggling, we see Justin Herbert struggling, we see AJ Strauss struggling. Jordan loves playing good fantasy-wise, but as a real quarterback, he looks suspect. For everything that Watts has been going through and to just overcome it, and you know this it's a lot of mental with a lot of these guys. That's another, that's another aspect of the game that you got to battle.
SPEAKER_04:I just want to give him props. Again, Mike terms next week, he might be bad showing again, but just to all the adversity he's been going through within the last three years, I just want to show love to him because he's been getting a lot of bad, bad news. So I when when it's good news, I just want to show love to the guy.
SPEAKER_05:The fact that he is hooping the way that he's hooping and propelling them to victories and getting them and winning games. He he he he stole the job and he got the job, and he might he might keep the job for the rest of the season. You know, they might they might stick with them pause. So we'll see how that goes for the rest of the season. Can't wait for Thursday night.
SPEAKER_03:We're we're sticky anything.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I could um I could see the Browns sticking with Deshaun Watson over Shador, but not because I think Deshaun Watson is good. I just don't think Shador is good enough yet. Um Deshaun Watson looked okay, but I I have no faith in the Panthers defense. So to do that against the Panthers and against the Buccaneers, two teams that I think of as dumpster fires, I gotta see it against a good team. The same thing I said with Brock Purdy, even though Brock Purdy's going crazy, I gotta see it against the Broncos this week in order for me to say that he's hooping.
SPEAKER_01:I I wouldn't use the word hooping.
SPEAKER_02:Okay for the done water.
SPEAKER_01:I I'm I'm gonna give the defense more of the credit for the way the Browns are playing. But hooping, if he if he could do that on the Steelers, then he's hooping. And he plays the Steelers this week. So that's I'm gonna say that. Same thing, same thing with Purdy. If I see it this week, I'll change my opinion on it. Right now, it's too early for me to say that they're doing well against who they did it against.
SPEAKER_06:Copy that, copy that. Yeah, it's worth noting. Panthers were missing several key players on defense. Uh Devin Lloyd included last week. So that was also an inclusion in that. But you had uh good cleanup. Uh Harold Fannis finished. Excuse me, folks. Uh Harold Fantas finished with 24 last week. Uh that was the big bright spot in their um fantasy day. Uh the receivers, Boston and Conception, they had solid weeks, not the weeks that uh Dentzel Boston was uh heading off the worst to.
SPEAKER_06:But, you know, still starting them in your lineup if you had to uh confidently, you know, good weeks are something to come by uh consistently for rookies in this type of offense. So I'd still, you know, tread them upwards and get them in your lineup. Other than that, that's all I've got, man. I I'll pass it over to the next one.
SPEAKER_01:All right, so I'm gonna start with the I'm gonna start with the NFC East. I'll start with my New York Giants. Beat the Tennessee Titans 12-7 with no touchdowns, all field goals. Um League Neighbors only had seven points. He was five for 26. Um, I wouldn't I wouldn't be trusting him too often in the near future with uh Jameis Winston. I will say that he did play in the rain, but the Giants are playing at home and it looks like it's gonna rain.
SPEAKER_06:So the one thing I was gonna say about the neighbor shit early on is just is it is it a buy-low type of situation? Would y'all buy low on Malik Neighbors right now?
SPEAKER_04:I say yes because he's only gonna get better once he gets more confidence in his knee. So um I was kind of staying away from him this year because I knew he was how early he was going in the drafts, he wasn't gonna kick up until maybe like week eight. But um, I definitely think it's a buy a low time. Because even if Jameis is the quarterback, he's gonna force feed him. We know what Jameis does. If JJ's the quarterback, I don't know what the fuck's gonna happen, but I'll let you break that in.
SPEAKER_01:I think he'll be fine either way. That's a great question. I would definitely buy a low on Malik Neighbors.
SPEAKER_00:Okay, cool, cool, cool.
SPEAKER_01:Uh Scatterbo had 13 points. He had 60 rushing yards and 40 receiving yards. He's looking like um he's looking like the really like the only viable option in that offense right now with the with the quarterback situation going on in New York. Um, likely disappointed with three points, so he's not looking like a must-start tight end anytime soon, and that's it for the Giants. Because we're washed until we figure something out. Let's move on to the Washington Commanders.
SPEAKER_01:Upset the Seattle Steelers 33 to 31. Marcus Mariota had 20 fantasy points. There was a lot of backup quarterbacks that won this week. Marcus Mariota did his thing, 180 passing yards and three passing touchdowns. Um Scary Terry woke up 19 fantasy points, six for 77 and a contested touchdown. He pretty much dove out flat out. It looked really good. Um Terry with Mariota might be a problem. I think I I think I had him on my sit list last week, and that was a big mistake.
SPEAKER_01:But I'm sure not many people expected this kind of game versus Seattle. Um Jacori Krosky Merritt only had five fantasy points, but he did have a real long touchdown taken back. And it wasn't like a hold where like it that's the reason why he scored. It was like uh um illegal formation on the other side kind of thing. So if I were you, I would maybe give him one more chance because he did look okay. But he only had five fantasy points, and he only had one target again, one catch.
SPEAKER_01:That's three straight weeks. He only has one target, which means he's not an option in the passing game at all.
SPEAKER_02:And I think Austin Eckler, which means that's even lesser.
SPEAKER_01:I mean, the fact that he's already not a passing option means that Austin Eckler is pretty much not gonna affect him, which is kind of a good thing. Um, Stephon Diggs.
SPEAKER_02:Did I write down what Stefan Diggs did?
SPEAKER_03:Nothing worth writing down. That's probably why you didn't.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I think that's that's why. Right. Quiet game for Diggs. First quiet game of the year for Diggs. Um, let's go to Dallas. Dallas and Rio against Baltimore. Lost 31 to 34. But Dak had 19 fantasy points, 270 and a touchdown. So he's looking like a good option. Um, the whole the whole Cowboys offense is kind of looking like what we wanted them to. Not maybe not as crazy as we expected, but the fact that Dak had 19, Javante had 18, he had 100 yards in a touchdown.
SPEAKER_01:CD had 20, he went seven for 112, and Pickens had 15 going seven for 82. So that whole offense is clicking fantasy-wise. They did lose to Baltimore. It was it was a good game. Uh y'all did y'all watch that game? A little bit of it. Yeah. Yeah, that's that was a really one watch.
SPEAKER_04:Some bullshit at the end, but hey.
SPEAKER_01:All right. Uh we got Philly versus Chicago. This is what I thought was the number one upset. More because of the team we thought would win only put up seven, and the team we thought would lose put up 27. Um, Jalen Hurts had 13 fantasy points, 150 yards and a pick, and he had one brushing touchdown. Saquon only had nine. Um, but he was rushing well, but it was a negative game script. The Eagles completely abandoned the run, which is the the problem we had with Saquon last year, too, is this team needs to run the ball more.
SPEAKER_01:He needs more opportunity, just like I said, week one, he need more opportunity, and he's not getting those opportunities. I think he only had one target again. Um he rushed 15 times and had 80 yards, so he can move the ball. Whatever they gave the ball to Saquon, it was moving. They just keep deciding not to give him the ball. I don't know why they think Hertz is the answer. But uh Smitty had 12, 6 for 85. He's he's I think Smitty's gonna be good every week, no matter what's going on.
SPEAKER_01:Um Jordan is our Eagle insider. So I want to give him the the stage to say what he thinks about his boys in a in an upset.
SPEAKER_05:I'm gonna just get this out the way. I'm gonna make this quick and smooth as possible. The discourse for Jalen Hurts has to stop. Um if that word if again, but um if Jalen Hurts doesn't go into quote unquote concussion protocol, I think this changes the whole complexion of the game. Um we abandoned the run in the second half, which doesn't make sense. The red rifle came in and threw an interception in the back of the end zone, which was a horrible decision.
SPEAKER_05:In the NFL, you gotta take the points when the points are necessary. Um Nick Seriani has to go. It's time for him to go. Um, he's part of the reason why we lost this game because he just didn't do the right things to keep us alive. Um in the second half. If you watch the game in depth like I did in the second half, we started to fall back on our old uh ways. Um abandoning the run, uh bubble screens, and not a lot of concepts. Uh I think I think the only thing that's really gonna help the Eagles moving forward is if Nick Ciriani stops putting his two cents into the offense and lets the our new offensive coordinator do what he was paid to do.
SPEAKER_05:If he does what he's paid to do, then I see us having more success. Um and things will change. Don't get me wrong, things will change in in that Eagles offense, especially coming up with a big game this week versus the Rams. Um, that's gonna be a really good one. The Eagles and Rams always put on the show. And I don't think it's gonna be as lopsided as some people think it's gonna be. And um Saquon is Saquon, just like Sticky was saying, Saquon is Saquon.
SPEAKER_05:If Saquon gets the proper carries that he is well deserved, the offense does move. He was averaging six yards a carry last night. That is great. You have to keep feeding that man the ball. He ended up breaking up a long run at one point, and he was doing well, even with a horrible offensive line. Um everything will start to come together. This is Jalen Hurts' umpteenth uh coordinator since high school. So it's like he's had a different play caller every year, but at some point you gotta buckle down and say, you know what, this is what gets us, this is what helps us, this is what makes us successful, and that's what needs to change.
SPEAKER_05:That is it.
SPEAKER_01:Okay. Thank you for that. So are you um you're not you're not panicking, or you are a panic?
SPEAKER_05:There's no need to panic. It's only it was only it's only week three. You know what I mean? Um, there's no need to panic right now. There's no need. There is no need whatsoever.
SPEAKER_01:Relax, like uh, right?
SPEAKER_05:Yeah, that's all you gotta do. That's it, man. Things will change. Don't get it, don't, don't get it twisted. Things will change one day. I just let the trash talk go. You know what I mean? I just let it go. I gotta let it go.
SPEAKER_01:All right, AFC East. Quilly already told y'all. A chance out for the season. That's it for Miami.
SPEAKER_02:Simple, simple and simple, simple and playing. Simple and playing.
SPEAKER_01:Let's let's move to another team that's looking like that. The Patriots. Lost to the Jags 35 to 6. Drake made five fantasy points. Five fantasy points, 199 yards and two picks. He's somehow getting worse every week. Less fantasy points every single week.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah, the giggles though. Okay.
SPEAKER_01:And then and then for the rest of the offense, Ramondre Stevenson, seven fantasy points on ten touches. Trivion, four fantasy points on nine touches. Dobbs, eight fantasy points. There's there's it's it's a it's another fantasy wasteland in New England. So I'm gonna move on from them as well. The Jets is actually looking like somebody to talk about. Yes, the Jets lost to the Lions 24-31. Brees Hall had eight fantasy points. He did get injured with a quad injury in the fourth quarter.
SPEAKER_01:Um, he said when he hit the ground, he heard something. Um but the MRI did not show any major damage. However, he is week to week, so most likely he's gonna miss next week. But hopefully this will be just a one-week absence, maybe two weeks. Um, so if you can get Braylon Allen, um that's gonna be his backup option. But as Quilly would say, as Quilly would say, temper your expectations. Yeah, I mean, they play the bears.
SPEAKER_04:I thought he was putting them in his flights, they play the bears, man. Good wise.
SPEAKER_06:I mean, I might, man. I got the opportunity.
SPEAKER_01:All right. Garrett Wilson, 26 fantasy points, 10 for 107 and a touchdown.
SPEAKER_06:Oh, Garrett looked good last week. He looked good, he looked good last week, too. He looked real good. Chris running this route and everything. Earr it with that man.
SPEAKER_01:I must say the Lions defense is terrible.
SPEAKER_06:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:They're bad.
SPEAKER_06:But you'll take anything, you'll you'll take anything good with the Jets being good, though, even if it's against the defense like the Lions.
SPEAKER_01:But what I'm saying is, if you got a fantasy player and they're going against the Lions, you don't want to start. Seven for 105 and a touchdown.
SPEAKER_06:Let the waiver opportunities and the keep him on your radar, guys.
SPEAKER_04:He was a he was keep him on your radar. He's um was a high drafted tight end, very athletic. Uh, I can see this here to stay. So um, like Quilly said, he should be on your waivers.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, let the bidding war begin. There's a chance that this is permanent. There's a chance that it's because of the injuries at wide receiver, no Adnan Mitchell. Um, and there's a couple other receivers that were out as well. So this could be the reason why Sadiq has such a great game. We just gotta hope it can continue going forward. Let's see what happens when there's when there's a couple more receivers in the lineup. But if if it's it's waiver time, so if you got to make a pickup, if you don't take them now, you're not gonna get the chance to wait and see later.
SPEAKER_01:You gotta take them now.
SPEAKER_06:Also, before you move on from it, before you move on, all off script. I talked to Stick about that. And Sadiq, not only was he a top prospect coming out of college, but he was looking to beat out Mason Taylor for scratch uh for snaps. And Mason Taylor didn't have his name called last week. They had Jeremy Ruckard score a touchdown, his second touchdown in five years of being in the NFL. So I I would say definite legal. Don't even worry about the him taking the Mason Taylor snaps.
SPEAKER_06:He at this point he's taking them. Like Mason Taylor was out hurt.
SPEAKER_04:He was out hurt, so that goes back to sticky thing opportunity in his risen to.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. True indeed.
SPEAKER_01:All right, best for last on the AFC East. Bills beat the Chargers 24-16. It wasn't looking good. First half, but they turned it around. Josh Allen only had 19 fantasy points. That's a terrible game for Josh Allen. That is a bottom. 200 passing yards, three turnovers, but he had a third straight week with two rushing touchdowns. And and that's too valuable in fantasy football. A quarterback that can get two rushing touchdowns every week. Um, he if if you have him on if you have him on your team, he will have a questionable tag next to his name.
SPEAKER_01:But they said it's not a big issue. So roll him out there. He's gonna play. Uh James Cook, 19 fantasy points, 154 yards and a touchdown. Did he fumble on the first rush of the game?
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, he did.
SPEAKER_01:But 19 fantasy points. That's if you start in them, that's all you care about. And 154 yards, it's not a it's not a lot of dudes that can do that. And he is shifty. He's shifty. Uh DJ Moore, he was dead to dead. Wound up having 12 fantasy points. 10 targets. That's my favorite part about it. 12 points, that's okay. That's good for the fact that he might not have even played this week. But 10 targets is a great time when you're playing for the Bills.
SPEAKER_01:You want to be the guy that's getting 10 targets. That's the kind of team that can score a lot of points. Uh Kincaid, however, had his first bad week, only three points. Or no, two for 38. So no, three points, two for 38 and a fumble. Yeah, he fumbled. He was he was trucking like eight people at the same time. And then one of them was just like, I'll just do this. But the bull, the bills pulled out that win at the end and made the charges look just as bad as they've been all year.
SPEAKER_01:But that's it for the AFC East and the NFC East, boys.
SPEAKER_06:Before you move on, before you move from that bullshit, it's it's so funny about James Cook. I'm gonna just throw this little funny ass little excerpt out here, Brad. James Cook reminds me of AP as far as being like a top running back that can still keep his job because he does good everywhere else, but still fumbles a whole lot. Like, damn, dog. It's like James Cook really do be fumbling, but because he's a top five running back in the league, it don't even matter.
SPEAKER_06:I'm like, yo.
SPEAKER_01:Like I think I think it matters less because he's he's the RB2. Remember, I always said Josh Allen is the RB1. True. RB two can fumble every once in a while. He ain't getting the ball as much.
SPEAKER_06:You got a point there. All right, Monty. Finish it off, Monty Paul.
SPEAKER_04:Got you. Yeah, we had like an hour 15, so I'm gonna speed through my two uh divisions. Uh let's lead off with the NFC North going to last night's game. Uh shout out to the Bears, man. Big win. Case Keenum with a combination of uh Ben Johnson. They got the job done. Case Keenum did what he was supposed to do. He bought um, he brought, again, Loveland didn't have a great game, just missed a touchdown, but he got on some touches. Uh Luther Burton was uh Luther Burton and Khalil Raymond both had 20 fantasy points.
SPEAKER_04:I think we want to keep an eye on uh Khaleb Raymond. He's seeming, he's the most consistent receiver in this offense. But um I kind of hope Caleb Williams sits back and just look. You don't have to do as much sometimes. You got a lot of great weapons, use them. But uh the running game with 80 rushing yards, no touch, but against a stingy Eagles defense is expected. But uh it's good to know that he's still leading in that backfield. Let's move on to the Detroit Lions.
SPEAKER_04:Uh big game against the Jets. Uh Jared Goff is very steady. Uh Quilly, nice pick. Very nice pick. Um uh Gibbs is showing that he's the number one pick for a reason. Another three touchdowns. Uh better days for St. Brown, don't stress it. Uh, at least he got in the end zone for you. Moving on to the Minnesota Vikings. Uh, let's start with the injury update. Justin Jefferson suffered an ankle injury early in the game. Uh, his player note says that uh everything came back clean.
SPEAKER_04:He's expected to play, but uh, I would just play it, pay attention to the practice notes. You never know. They're playing Miami. It's a chance he might just chill this game. Uh Jordan Edison got into the end zone five for 90. Kyle Murray looks Kyler Murray looks horrible. But um what else is Little? What else is Lil? Yeah, he looks horrible, but um staring in in the backfield, uh Aaron Jones had 20 touches, only gave you 30 yards. But again, um I think better days coming next week playing Miami.
SPEAKER_04:Let's move on to, I believe it was the Thursday night game, the Packers. Uh again, from an NFL perspective, uh they don't look good at all. But from a fantasy perspective, Jordan Love, out of the three weeks, two of them, he put up 300 plus passing yards and two two passing touchdowns in each within those three games. Two out of the three games, I should say. And then um, with the running game being so bad, his off his uh receivers is gonna be great weapons.
SPEAKER_04:Both Matthew Golden and Watson both had 22 fantasy points. And um, I don't see it slowing down. So if you got those two guys in your draft, you're definitely a happy man. Let's uh move over to the AFC South. Shout out to my Indianapolis Colts pulling off a big win in a battle of the 0-2s. Uh the Colts came out with a 1916 win. I said in the start, stitch start sit, damper your expectations for Jonathan Teller. He only finished with eight fantasy points.
SPEAKER_04:But that's just something knowing going on for the rest of the season. If your running back is playing Houston, they locking up. Uh with Alec Pierce being out, it was good to see uh Tyler Warren get 10 targets, nine catches for 56 yards, having 14 fantasy points. He's been very consistent these first three weeks. I have him as the third tight end uh as the season goes. Um uh Josh Downs, another had 11 targets, seven for I believe 50 something. I actually had him as well.
SPEAKER_06:Yeah, like 14 as well. Yeah, like 14, yeah.
SPEAKER_04:So he played um, he's he's uh he's gonna be a factor. And those 11 targets is big. And then uh shout out to Keenan Allen was the one that got.
SPEAKER_06:Keenan! I was hoping that you gave a shout out.
SPEAKER_04:Keenan got it with 15 fantasy points. Up next, let's actually go to the Houston Texans. Um, it's looking like Nico's coming back this week. Pay attention to the player notes. Um he will definitely help the offenses need it. Uh I was high on David Montgomery at the beginning, and these last two weeks he let me down. Uh pay attention to Yeah, sure. Pay attention to Woody Marks, man. He's um more effective and efficient with the touches he's getting.
SPEAKER_04:So uh just pay attention to that backfield. And um I expect better days from them. The defense is very good. Um, with Nico coming back, just hopefully he can stay healthy. Not expect better days from them. Remember, they started 0-3 last year and made the playoffs. Let's move to the Red Hot Jacksonville Jaguars. Let's shout out to uh uh what's pretty bull, the long hair named Sunshine, Trevor Lawrence. Trevor Lawrence balled out. He's um he's showing that um I would like to get your opinion on this stick.
SPEAKER_04:Is he doing enough for you within the first three weeks to be like he made that jump? Because I know in our quarterback rankings that was your issue with him. I wanted to see it again. Do you need to see more or first three weeks? Three weeks, you you satisfied? Um two good games, one bad game.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, yeah. See, the thing is the the bad game was against the Broncos, which is a really good defense. So he wasn't able to go crazy on them, but he did go crazy on the Browns defense, which is a really good defense.
SPEAKER_04:And then this one the Patriots defense was good.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, the Patriots defense is good. So he did two good games against two good defenses. So I don't know. I think uh I think he's nice.
SPEAKER_06:He's playing with confidence out the ass right now. He's nice. Yeah, his moxie right, his moxie right now is crazy. Like Trevor Lawrence, he looked like he got something to himself right now. So that's good to see.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, if I if I had to say it's either wait and see or tell you right now that he's nice, I I'm leaning more towards I can tell you right now that he's nice. I did not like him stopping at the one-yard line.
SPEAKER_04:Oh, let me let me get to that. Uh, that's a nice segue. Don't you disrespect me as a nice segue? Bless me. Don't ask me about him.
SPEAKER_00:You ask me about him, I'm gonna give you my opinion.
SPEAKER_04:Bless my boy Quilly. Shout out to Tutan. Um, another, was it 14 fantasy points queue? 17. Um, Trevor Lawrence looked out for him, got him a last-minute touchdown. But again, we wanted to pay attention to that backfield. Uh Tutin is very efficient, and um, I think he's only gonna get better as the season goes on. Remember, I think he had uh, I believe eight rushing touchdowns last year. Uh Parker Washington, Parker Washington is showing he's the number one guy in the end zone again.
SPEAKER_04:BTJ, um, don't be surprised if he gets traded. Just don't think he's a good one. I've heard that. I'm glad you said that. Yeah, just don't think he's a good fit there. He can come to Indy, though. Uh I doubt that trade within their division, but he can come to us. And then Jacoby Myers, pay attention to him. Sneaky uh flex play, uh scoring uh two out of the three weeks. Uh let's conclude with the Titans. Um it's not yeah, not too much to say about him, but uh Jordan, thank you for dropping Tony Pollard.
SPEAKER_04:That's all. But I shout out Jordan. Shout out, Jordan. But uh that covers everything with my two divisions. Um, let's move right into our sit start. So in our sit start segment, we're giving you three players that we recommend for week four that's gonna go off. And then we're also gonna give you three players that we believe you should sit because of matchups or because of other reasons. Who wants to lead off? I got you.
SPEAKER_06:Word, because we ain't heard you to we ain't heard you speak in a minute. So it was nice to see that you're still awake and still with us, Jordan. So laid he he laid up.
SPEAKER_04:Don't hit the play. Talking fantasy and the fantasy, talking fantasy and the fantasy. I got you, my boy. All right, man. We'll talk it, talk it, talk it.
SPEAKER_05:Y'all get here one day. Um, my three guys that I'm gonna start this week is Sam Darnold, Puka Nakua, and Ja Darian Price. Now, it can go both ways, pause. It depends on what you're really looking for, but for me, I feel like those three guys have the potential to go off because the Seahawks have to the Seahawks are playing the Chargers. We already know how that's gonna go. And depending on who, depending on where he's gonna be at in his recovery, um Puka might be matched up with either um Devontae, not Devontae, with uh Quenyan Mitchell or Reek Wollen.
SPEAKER_05:And Reek Woolen had a pretty rough game on Monday night. So we're gonna see how that translates um going into next week. But those are my three uh starts this week.
SPEAKER_06:I'll take over from here. Um before I get before I even get to that, I left out a little note in my uh division rap. Um missing in action so far this year, but I think he'll get it going at some point is Chase Brown. Um somebody that he he was on my I'll I'll say it for the room. He was on the sit chart for a while this week, like past my notes, but I took them off because I was just like, eh, you know, just kind of MIA, but I guess it's just like the time's not there yet.
SPEAKER_06:But anybody listening for the Chase Brown information, just keep keep keep waiting, but but it's it's coming. It pauses, it's coming. Um, for my starts though, I say keep the good times rolling, bro. I know this is gonna sound crazy, but you were never gonna sit them, but start them confidently now. Drake London, you can you can say Drake's in the lineup, he ain't going no damn where I don't have to trade him. I shouldn't even have thought about it.
SPEAKER_06:Nine for 194 this past week. I'm gonna start throwing out the numbers as I do these start sets. So I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go eight for about 90 and a possible touchdown. Um, I think Drake London keeps it going. Uh Tyler Shuck, I I think he's no longer somebody that should be in free agency. If he was, if he was still in your leagues, get him out of there. You know, he just doesn't belong. And it, you know, we alluded to it, bad quarterback play.
SPEAKER_06:You know, you got Drake May playing uh bad. You got a few other quarterbacks that you might possibly want to say, hey, this ain't it. You know what I mean? I just do out Drake May because that's the one that you really think about right off the top. You got some Kyler Murray issue maybe in your lineup. I hope not. Like these are the things that you just shouldn't have in there at all, anyway. But if Tyler Shuck's out there, go grab him if you have it.
SPEAKER_06:Um I say that he probably possibly gets you another three touchdowns on Monday night against us. Um, we're not healthy in that secondary, so I can definitely see that to the 2-0, 250 plus yards, and again, three turns. Um Bryce Young also start him. So start him this week. Like, I would say uh last week was one of those games where it was like he didn't have a bad game. You know what I mean? He really didn't have a bad game, and Bryce Young is coming into his own in this year, the first couple of weeks.
SPEAKER_06:Like he's having decent weeks and it's it's upward trending. There's no backpedaling. Like, I'm not seeing Bryce Young, you know, backpedal, take a sack, and things like that. He's climbing the pocket, he's using his legs, he's using his smarts. Uh, he's getting the ball out just a little bit uh faster this year than he was last year, and I'm noticing that. Uh I would say put him over the 225 yards mark, uh, possibly two or more touchdowns, uh, and throw a rushing touchdown in there just for you know a little bit of the perspective this week.
SPEAKER_06:So, yep, those are my three.
SPEAKER_04:London, Chuck, Bryce Young. Um, I'll lead off with Trevor Lawrence. He's playing the Cincinnati Bengals this week. Uh, the over-under is 51 points. It's gonna be a shootout. I project him finishing as a top five quarterback and uh elevating his game. Uh my next guy would be Jordan Mason playing the Miami Dolphins. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Aaron Jones. I'm tripping. Aaron Jones playing the Miami Dolphins. He's uh getting about 20 touches a game. And uh I see him producing against uh the skirmish that he'd be uh in with uh it's not even a skirmish, this is more like uh uh was some Jones maybe having a little practice practice, uh joint practice.
SPEAKER_06:AAU, it's AAU football.
SPEAKER_04:Nice little joint practice, but uh Aaron Jones, I project him to have a good game. And then my last guy, uh I had him on a sit list last week, but this week in London, I'm going my boy Josh Downs. Had 11 targets last week. Uh, when you get 11 targets, you should produce for fantasy. And um, pay attention to Josh Downs. I think he's gonna be a big key in the Colts offense.
SPEAKER_01:I'm gonna start with start Jake Ferguson versus Texas.
SPEAKER_02:Decent. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:He did fumble last week, but he scored three touchdowns in the last two weeks, and his targets have slowly been increasing every week. So he's becoming a focal one of that offense, and that's a high-powered offense. So I'm starting Jake Ferguson. Um, I'm also starting Cam Scatterboo versus Arizona. Cam Scatterboo, like I said, he looks like the only guy that's liable to get the ball in that offense right now. And I think Arizona's defense can be scored on.
SPEAKER_01:At least fantasy-wise. I'm not saying that the Giants are gonna score a bunch of touchdowns, but Scatterboo gets his yard. Um, also, it might be raining, so they're not gonna be able to pass as much. Scatterbook's gonna be getting the ball a lot, I believe. Um, and my third start is gonna be Bill Krosky versus the Colts for the Washington Commanders. The Colts are six-worth defense against fantasy running backs. And like I said, Krosky had a couple bad games, but he had a real long touchdown taken back.
SPEAKER_01:Maybe this game, that touchdown won't be taken back, we'll be looking at them differently.
SPEAKER_06:Hey, so so Sir Serpentine is thick. You start with the uh sits and we go back the other way. But I'm gonna challenge you, uh I'm gonna challenge you on that one. I actually think Rashad White's the running back to start there rather than Bill.
SPEAKER_01:But hey. I actually think Rashad White is gonna be phased out with uh Austin Eckler there, too. They're not gonna use him. I just think his opportunity is gonna be cut in half fantasy-wise. With Eckler being the person that does exactly what Rashad White does.
SPEAKER_06:Mm-hmm. I get it. Hey, we'll see. Something to monitor over the next few weeks. Good shit.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, sit. I'm gonna say sit neighbors. Like I said. Cam Scatterbo looks like the only dude that can get the ball right now, and it's supposed to be a bad weather game. And this could be possibly Jameis Winston's last start. We don't know yet. Um I would say sit neighbors against the Cardinals. Um, I would say sit Drake May against the Bills. That's another game that might be bad weather. Um, the Bills are not great against quarterbacks, but Drake May is just not looking like he can produce fantasy-wise without some offensive weaponry out there.
SPEAKER_01:And you're gonna need that against the Bills. You see how Justin Herbert looks. Um, and my third set, I'm gonna say Braylon Allen versus the Bears. If you're picking up Braylon Allen because Brees Hall is out, I don't know if automatically start Braylon Allen is gonna be the option. I don't think he's gonna give you um that like spot start great game that you you think you're gonna get. Risky, but I take risk.
SPEAKER_06:I like him. Yeah. All right, Mike.
SPEAKER_04:Um, this was tough. I'm gonna leave with uh Tucker Kraft. Um he's the only pass catcher in the Green Bay uh offense that hasn't really got it on. So um I'm gonna sit him this week. Uh believe they're playing Tampa. Golden and uh Watson has been getting a lot of targets, so uh I'm staying away from Tucker Kraft this week. Um my second guy is Roma Dunze. And who the Bears? The Bears play the Jets this week. Um he's the only guy that hasn't really him and Love, Loveland, they're the only two guys that haven't really showed a splash.
SPEAKER_04:And um with uh Raymond, Khalif Raymond there, uh I'm kind of staying away. And then the backup quarterback as well, keep Rome on your bench. And then my last is uh the Titans play the Baltimore Ravens.
SPEAKER_06:Sit all your Titans if any of them in your lineup, Lord.
SPEAKER_00:Any of them were there, goodness gracious.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, the funny thing is, I was thinking about saying that for the Dolphins, but who are you starting? No point. It was no point, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Shit.
SPEAKER_01:There's not even an option on the Dolphins. It makes sense for you to say it for the Titans. There's people you could start, but not on the Dolphins.
SPEAKER_06:Yeah, man. Imagine having to choose between those two teams that's like starting sick guys, like fucking Titans and Dolphins, like big. That'd be crazy. That'd be a 2014 week. Yeah, I'm telling you. So uh for my sits, I'm gonna lead off. Uh and I'm gonna keep the freaking good times rolling. I don't care if he scored this past damn week. I'm still sitting DK fucking Matcalf. I don't care. I'm still keeping him on the damn bench, still sitting his ass.
SPEAKER_06:Because without the touchdown, you didn't have that many catches. You know what I'm saying? His volume was still, you know, rather mid, rather right, you know, you know, on the TV screen, uh when that volume was right at 10. It's like that's like 10. Let's go to five. Like, that's where he was at. He was in between five and ten. It's like we can hear you. You know what I mean? We can hear you just a little bit. So I ain't sold on DK Metcalf. Not yet.
SPEAKER_06:I don't think I will be. Get his ass, just sit his ass down. Um, I would say Chuba. Crazy enough to think that I had Bryce Young in the starts, but I would say sit Chuba this week. Um, just volume-wise, I feel like again, Bryce Young is stepping up into his own. So, you know, maybe the running game slows it. So Bryce is getting his. And if Bryce keeps continuing to show that he can run the show that way, then maybe you know the running game becomes non-existent.
SPEAKER_06:And last week, Chuba didn't put up the numbers that he put up in the first two weeks. And we both, uh everybody knows here on the pod, if Chuba's not getting any good numbers with that backfield looking the way that it does, then no running back is eating in the Panther backfield. So I would definitely say sit Chuba. And for the first time, after I had him in, I believe the first two weeks of starts, uh, Quin Sean Judgins. Gotta sit my boy Judkins.
SPEAKER_06:He just, he just, he looks good. I will say I've seen him run. I've I've been watching a little bit of those highlights with Cleveland. He looks good. He's just not getting the whole, he's not getting the opportunities to break free. Uh, I believe he had a real long run call back this week, but still in all, you know, long runs called back when you only get about seven fantasy points, you're only gonna get 10 from it, you know what I mean, make possibly 11 from it.
SPEAKER_06:So, you know, you're getting just close to the double digits. I'm thinking that Quinshawn Junkins can possibly take off. So uh definitely take him out of the lineup this week if he isn't. Uh, that's just from my perspective. And just caveat in the room. I had Kyle Pitts on the sit list, but I'm gonna put I'm gonna throw my damn notebook right down right now, and I'm gonna just say if he was in your lineup the first three weeks, I'm sorry for being a fan.
SPEAKER_06:Just give up on Kyle, give up, give up, folks, give up. It's not fluid, he's ass. It's it's not a thing.
SPEAKER_05:Goodness gracious. I'm gonna just be honest with y'all. We're not starting Justin Herbert, we're not starting Cortland Sutton, we're not starting Rashi Rice. Rashi Rice is playing the Raiders. Wow, wow. Rashi Rice is playing the Raiders. The Raiders are like fourth best against um uh wide receivers, defending them. Um, I don't have faith in Cortland Sutton anymore and Justin Herbert. I was just leaving it at that.
SPEAKER_06:He married that girl over the summer and uh he got love struck. The power of Punani. Yeah, yeah. Listen, it when Romo dated Justice, what happened? But I mean that's a wrap, fellas. Another good pod in the books, man. Appreciate y'all, baby. Yeah, it was it very very much was, it very much was.
