SPEAKER_07:Fellas, football is back, man. We back in the mix. How y'all feel about week one?
SPEAKER_06:Crazy. We all in a dub club after week one, so we all should feel great, honestly.
SPEAKER_07:Or they say it ain't how you get the wins, as long as you get the win, right? I snuck by, but I got one. W dub.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, we none of us had a real blowout. I mean, I think I won by like nine or ten, but you guys had one point victory.
SPEAKER_06:Hey, shout out, shout out, Sticky saying, nine ten. You won by eleven. I said, You oh you almost got it. Nah, it was 11, bro.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, nah, definitely is.
SPEAKER_07:Yeah, man. So let's uh let's let's crank this off. So welcome, welcome to the eighth episode of Fantasy for the Dogs. I'm your defending champ, L Boog. You know what I mean? Um, got one win under the belt trying to defend this title against some some great competitors. Uh, we got um my boy Q2 had a one-point win. They call him, they call him what Chase Jam. What's up, my boy?
SPEAKER_06:Oh, it's Q2, and it's a move. Don't get jammed up in the Chase Jam, man. You get jammed up, it's a little too sticky over here, you know, to you know, get out of that jam. So, you know, speaking of which, we got uh another brother, good brother.
SPEAKER_00:Nah, Q tell him, tell him who you beat.
SPEAKER_06:Uh uh uh I was I was going right away.
SPEAKER_07:Hold on hold on. Let's let's say that. Let me let me let me continue the introduction. So next, I got my boy Stick, Nick sent five. Hey, yo, Quillie, when does this Nick shit expire, man? Because he's he's bringing in over the football and everything.
SPEAKER_06:I mean I would consider I would consider after the man, fuck that. After the way that Bo Nick's played Monday night, he need to be reconsidering that damn name, but you know, we gonna let him live.
SPEAKER_01:That name dropped 150 points. How much y'all had? Enough to win, enough to win to be in the house.
SPEAKER_00:If either of y'all want to pull me, it would have been a problem. Welcome to each other.
SPEAKER_06:But the way that the schedule holds it down, you feel me? We'll be waiting for that matchup, Playboy.
SPEAKER_01:We got one in a couple weeks.
SPEAKER_07:Yes, sir. So um, definitely we're now on Apple and Spotify. We would like y'all to like, listen, and please subscribe. So let's crank this thing off. Uh, so uh again, this was week one in our fantasy league. Uh we have something called a bro battle. Where bro battles, uh, we're missing a good brother Jordan. But um, with our bro battles, we treat these like our our inside championship games, they're more important than anything. And we had one open up the season.
SPEAKER_07:So uh I'm gonna clear out and I'm gonna just let you uh quilly uh talk your talk, man.
SPEAKER_06:Hey, hey, so quully, quilly. Don't hold back. Hey shout out, shout out to the girl brother Jordan, man. He put up a good fight. Um, the way that it worked out was uh my second wave of games, them four o'clock games helped me out. Trey McBride was my high my high point man on the team overall throughout the week. Uh he had one guy linger over into the Sunday night game, which had one point, which I was very thankful for because you know, coming away with the dub, uh it just felt great.
SPEAKER_06:It felt great to beat the brother, start the season. But I am gonna throw in a caveat here. I ain't gonna pop too much shit. My boy dealing with a whole bunch right now. Caveat to this whole thing was my boy giving up. You know what I mean? Midway through. And I say my boy giving up because he's throwing in the towel talking shit early. Like he's throwing in the good towel, though. Not the surrender towel, the colorful one, you know, the one with all of the pretty uh green, black, blue, whatever.
SPEAKER_06:You know, he felt like he whooped my ass. He like, man, felt like he had me around four o'clock. Talk shit a little bit too early. Hey yo, that shit, that's just saying you. And I was a little bit in agreement with it, like, cause I just know me, but back of my mind, I said to myself, hmm, this is regular Jordan shit. And at the end of the damn day, dub club is famous for one thing and one thing only. You get dubs over here in this club, and from outside of it, you just gonna be waiting to get inside.
SPEAKER_06:He's gonna be waiting to get inside. Why? Because after week one, my boy has no wins. That means he's 0-1. Means he's more towards the end of his season than the start of it. For me, good win against the brother. On to the next week, man.
SPEAKER_07:We here forward. Not too much on you, Jordan, because you're not here, but you can't talk crazy in a group chat, and then when the night ends, we get the crickets, man.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, this is this is uh this is a great lesson for the listener, right? Here you do not talk trash at 3 50 on Sunday.
SPEAKER_00:No matter what, you do not talk trash at 3 51 p.m. on Sunday.
SPEAKER_01:You don't really don't you don't do it. You don't do it. This is what happens. He actually said, Looks like I won. Thanks, gang. Like he thought you had it. Don't look like Jordan out there, y'all. If you want to enjoy fantasy football, you shut up until the buzz is sounds and then talk your shit. Talk your shit before, talk your shit after. In the middle, focus, focus, be like Kobe. Talk your shit after. Be like 350. Jordan learned that it's the hard way.
SPEAKER_07:Well, the next bro, the only bro, put up what you put up a buck fifty-five, Snake? 151. Talk about your big one, man.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, I didn't even know we were talking about me. That was that was just some regular stuff, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_04:Okay.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, yeah, I I had a I had a pretty pretty good week. Um, Coaster Loveland gave me a donut. Fourth round pick. Didn't work out too good. Roshi Rice, my keeper, had two catches. Luckily, he broke two tackles and scored a touchdown on one of them. But um that's that's not looking great for the future, but it definitely helped me out this week. Oh, next week I took in the 10th round, six fantasy points. The Chiefs defense is nasty, but this this offense ain't looking too good either.
SPEAKER_01:I'm gonna keep starting them. I'm gonna keep starting. Um what helped me out was Christian Watson.
SPEAKER_07:Crazy.
SPEAKER_01:32. He had an 80-yard touchdown, and then they they threw a flag on the play. I was like, yeah, don't do this to me on an 80-yard touchdown. And then they was like, actually, we're taking that flag back touchdown. You're welcome. So I was very happy about that. The Packers uh fell off a cliff after that, but I got what I needed for fantasy, so I'm cool with it. Um Ash and Jenzi. I know it is like a flat guy.
SPEAKER_04:32.
SPEAKER_01:They actually both had the exact same score, 32.7. Okay. And he's looking great. Like I I I figured with Kirk Cousins, he was gonna get all the dick and dunk stuff that Bijan was getting last year. So so far, it's looking like it's gonna be the case for that. So that helped a lot. Chase Brown gave me 18. He's looking good. The team's looking good, they're looking like they scoring points. Um Jamar Chase didn't look too good. Um they tend to do that week one.
SPEAKER_01:And I feel like Jamar Chase is the chief option because if they run in, they're doing it with Chase. And if they pass it, they pass it to Chase. So I think uh that that offense is looking like it's good to go this year. And the guy went against put up 140. So it wasn't no easy matchup for me. Like I ain't I ain't playing nobody that put up like 109.
SPEAKER_07:He better not a great segue.
SPEAKER_06:Yeah, right. I was about to say great segue to my boy. I'm about to say, you you the last one, but you you know, you champ. So champ, talk about your uh you're done, man. You gotta talk about you too, man. We ain't we ain't gonna leave you out of the mix.
SPEAKER_07:So going into going into it, I went into what we claimed was the best draft, best team. Um, I squeaked one out 112 to 109. Honestly, I thought it was over after the scatterable game. Stick hit me up saying, Hey, yo man, I ain't talked to you because you're in a close matchup. I'm like, bro, I ain't even opened up my app. I still got a chance. I was locked, I was locked in for the rest of the game.
SPEAKER_01:But um I I myself do not want to be talked to when I'm in a close matchup. So I intend that to others. I do unto others.
SPEAKER_07:Uh definitely. But um, well, mine's again uh sometimes when you're champion ain't how you win, you just get the win. Uh shout out to JSN opening up for me, went crazy with 26 points. Drake me, Drake May didn't perform the way I wanted to. Uh my two backs uh is crazy. Um, I was falling asleep on the second half of the games. I checked my notification. I got back-to-back touchdowns from Love and Hampton. I said, Oh, it's gonna be a spooky second half, and then that's all they did for me.
SPEAKER_01:Yo, when I saw that, when I saw they both score in the first quarter, I was like, yo, I know Lamar is so happy right now. And then all the other quarters finished and they didn't do nothing else.
SPEAKER_06:I was like, I'm gonna I'm gonna go out on the room and point out that uh uh so for the listeners out there, my work schedule permits not permits me more, so to say, if I'm stationed in specific areas, I could watch these games. So a lot of my time with my phone during a fantasy football week one of a Sunday was in my pocket. So, you know, seeing all of this stuff was coming to me here near there whenever I could see it. So definitely popping in and seeing that those uh point totals were happening for you.
SPEAKER_06:I definitely had thought, like, all right, well, he's he's on to something good.
SPEAKER_07:Yeah, but it's fantasy football, man. You take your wins when you could, and again, with my team, I see by week four, everything gonna make sense. But uh let's get into it, man. That was a lot on our personal league. Let's let's let's run around the league. So on this around the around the league uh segment, we'll be uh touching on news, injuries, and celebrating the players that went off. Then also uh the players that didn't do too well will be uh notifying as well.
SPEAKER_07:Um and I'll lead off with that MC South. Uh let's go with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Trevor Lawrence balled out through four tugs. Um he was able to get his boy uh Parker Washington in the end zone. I think he went uh 80 receiving yards with a touchdown. Uh Jacoby Myers also scored. Um the running backs, that's something that I want to pay attention to within the next month just to see, because they definitely split carries. But um that's something we want to pay attention to within the next month to see how that turns out.
SPEAKER_07:Uh injuries. Uh BTJ suffered a shoulder injury, but looking at all the notes, he'll be fine and be back and ready to play for next week. Moving on to the Houston Texans, that was a hell of a game against the Four Bills. Uh Nico went definitely, Nico went seven for 77 in the Tud. He balled out. And then my boy Monty, a lot of people in the fantasy industry. He actually was very polarizing. Some people didn't want him. Somebody on this line right now, I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_07:Maybe a couple guys on this line. Then uh some people like myself really uh believe that um, like I told you, I believe he's the Javante Williams of this year. Uh I definitely see him finishing with double. Yes, sir. I definitely see him finishing with double-digit touchdowns. And then again, he's just gonna have the Joe Mixon role of two years ago. So they were the two big standouts um in Houston. Let's move over to my Indianapolis Colts. Uh, we got we got wiped down by the Baltimore Ravens, but the bright spots out of it was uh definitely a bright spot was uh my boy Jonathan Teller rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns, showing why he was a top, why he was a top five pick.
SPEAKER_07:The receiving core, um, this is something just to pay attention to because uh was the reason why I didn't want us to sign uh Keenan Island is because I just feel like he was in a way. He actually led the team with six catches. Uh Alec Pierce had four catches. I believe Downs had four, and uh uh Warren had um three catches with a touchdown. But uh that's just something I'm paying attention to to see uh if that's gonna be consistent or we're gonna have a big star within that offense.
SPEAKER_07:But um we'll see more with the coach with next week. And then with the Tennessee Titans, um I would just say with the Titans, we're just gonna hold off for a month before we put any of those guys in the lineup and just see if their offense can get better. Moving on to the NFC North. This is a very active division this week this week, or week one, I should say. Leading off with the Chicago Bears. Uh Ben Johnson said his goal was to break the scoring record.
SPEAKER_07:He put up 59 game one.
SPEAKER_04:He's on the way.
SPEAKER_07:He's on the way to that. He's on the average. That's a fact. He needs to average 38 and a half a game to get there. Uh let's shout out the Caleb Williams balled out. Two rushing touchdowns, two passing tuds. Uh, another one of the guys that I really wanted that I couldn't get, DeAndre Short, DeAndre Swift ran for a buck 23 and three tuds. And not even that, his backup had uh uh Kamanun guy had a hundred yards and a turd. Money guys I'm not not worried about love and even um Adunze and uh Luther Burton when uh you got an explosive offense like this, it's gonna be uh pick your poison.
SPEAKER_01:You worried about Coast and Lovelin?
SPEAKER_07:No, no, not not even worried about him. He he gave a donut, but again, when you have an explosive offense like this, everybody's not gonna eat. You know what I mean? So won't be surprised the game plan is to get him the ball week two.
SPEAKER_06:Coast and Lovelin was he ain't eat at all. He was hungry, he was he's gonna be hungry next game.
SPEAKER_07:So now moving to the Detroit Lions. Um they started off very strong and it got a little scary at the end, but uh let's start off with Jameer Gibbs, balled out uh 100 plus skirmish yards, two tuds, showing why he was the number one pick. Uh a funny stat line from St. Brown. 10 catches, 67 yards in the Tud.
SPEAKER_06:Many short yardage works. Shout out to I'm sorry. St. Beasy.
SPEAKER_07:St. Beasy. Laporta, Laporta. I had five catches for 49. I think that's okay for a tight end, not named Trey McBride or Brock Bowers. And then um, not worried about uh J Mo. Uh I believe he's gonna get his get back this week, dropped a couple passes, but um Detroit is Detroit. They did what they do.
SPEAKER_06:Hold on, hold on. Before you move on about these Detroit Lions, I just want to say for the record, each one of us on this line right now have had the pleasure of owning St. Brown in fantasy. And one thing we could, I feel like we can all agree with, yo, is how exciting it always is to know that he's in your starting fantasy lineup every freaking week. It's like he's one of those excitable players, like where you know he's going to do well every single week.
SPEAKER_06:He really does do what 10 for 67 in a tut, like what two tuts? Like two tuts, like two, like you know, like short yardage work, but still volatile to the game score. Like, come on, come on now, come on, man.
SPEAKER_07:Mr. Reliable, miss, Mr. Reliable, man.
SPEAKER_06:Top top five, top five reliable, like top five reliable is very gracious to have on your team. So shout out to the drafters that draft Amaran St. Brown with confidence.
SPEAKER_07:Yes, so uh moving on to the Minnesota Vikings. Let's um football is great when uh Justin Jefferson is back in it. Eight, eight. Shout out to Jeddah getting in the end zone two times. Uh I know he would I know he was happy that uh he can show that he's still him. Uh let's go to the backfield. Both running back scored, but again, this is something I'm gonna be monitoring for the next month just to see how the carries is gonna be split. But it's definitely shown that Mason is the the the actual uh in between the tackles back, and Aaron Jones would be the receiving back.
SPEAKER_07:Um, injuries on there, and Kyler Murray. Poor Kyler Murray suffered a bad uh concussion early in the game, and maybe he just might be too small for football, fellas. What's y'all thoughts?
SPEAKER_06:Uh I'll hand this one to you first.
SPEAKER_04:You can take it quickly.
SPEAKER_06:Listen, the way they they said it uh Russ Bryan said it best on uh get up before the game, so you should just go back to playing for the Minnesota Twins, the team that drafted no more, or whatever the case may be. I agree. Um I it's not that I don't see Kyler Murray for a good quarterback. It's a it's a stay healthy game. And if you can't stay healthy, especially for a consistent amount of seasons now, it's not like we're looking at you like we know that you're gonna be great for the next four years.
SPEAKER_06:You can't even stay on the game for, I mean, stay on the field for what, four to five, maybe six games a year. And at quarterback, that's just not something that is trusted upon. Not to say that I think the Vikings made a horrible decision at grabbing them, but you know, you gotta take the opportunity for what they have you, especially for what they went through last year. But I just, you know, if it's me, I'm not, especially for the fantasy world, he can't stay healthy.
SPEAKER_06:He's not even worried about the fantasy spot, uh roster spot on your team. Uh as far as him in the reality world of it, eh. Again, I used to see Jettis back in the end zone, but it was, you know, all of what, Carson Wentz? Shout out Carson Wentz.
SPEAKER_07:Yeah, well, get well soon, Colin. I really want to see him put a full season together. But um TJ Hawkinson also got in the end zone. And just on an injury note, Jordan Mason does have a sore thumb. That's just something to pay attention to going into week two. And then uh the last team in my division is the Green Bay Packers. Um uh at the beginning of the season, I heard a beat writer say that uh Matthew Goldman was gonna lead the team in targets and uh Christian Watson was gonna lead the team in yards.
SPEAKER_07:And damn, look how week one played out. We got uh Matthew Golden with 12 targets finishing six for 95. And then uh stick, what was Christian Watson's line? Five five for five catches, one uh two touchs, but uh should have had this. But while Sticky's looking that up, Jordan Love also passed for 387, two touchdowns. He's looking like a starting quarterback. I think uh they listened the the coaching staff for the Packers listen to everybody where they had to run less and start spreading it out more, and also with Jacobs and his uh potential to suspension, it helped them just kind of expand their offense.
SPEAKER_01:Six for 147 and two on eight targets.
SPEAKER_07:Uh they really had a great fantasy day in Green Bay. Tucker Kraft, I think he went um three for sixty-three, but better days to come for him. And then uh Marshawn Lloyd kind of fumbled the bag, but uh stay tuned for our next segment. Uh I definitely see him having a bounce back week week. Uh two. So let's continue going around the league. Who wants to go next?
SPEAKER_03:I'm gonna think you.
SPEAKER_01:All right, so we're gonna start off with the NFC East because they pretty much played each other this week. So it's easy to take care of both of them at the same time. Pause.
SPEAKER_07:Sometimes you gotta leave an awkward sound.
SPEAKER_01:I said pause. You know what? Lock me up. Throw away the key. Oh man.
SPEAKER_06:If he's going right on the pod. Jordan. Get well. Elay, listen, man. Get well soon, Jordan. You're wanted back here. You need to be here for this. Anyway.
SPEAKER_01:Nah, he's good. He could he g get well soon. Alright, so uh we got Eagles Commanders. Like I said, division game, week one. Um Eagles won by two points. To be honest, the Eagles looked a little worse than I thought they would, but they still looked pretty decent. The commanders looked a little better than I thought they would, but they still look kind of bad. It was weird. Jaden Daniels had Jaden Daniels had 17 fantasy points. He was projected about 17 fantasy points.
SPEAKER_01:So to see him actually be able to put up what he should week one is promising. Um Jalen Hurts looked really good for fantasy. He looked good for football too. Not great. You know, he was he was struggling a little bit, and I think that was because of their offensive line issues. But um he was able to get the ball to Dallas Goddard with no problem. He did struggle to get the ball to the other receiver. So if you drafted Devontae Smith early, then he didn't have a great game.
SPEAKER_01:He didn't kill you, but he didn't really help you either. Saquon, same thing. He didn't kill you, but nine points is not really helping you either. Um, but he only had 15 rush attempts. He still had 80 yards, so he's still rushing for over five yards of rush, but you need opportunity when you're drafting somebody that high. And there wasn't there wasn't enough opportunity to go around for fantasy production outside of Jalen Hurts and Dallas Goddard.
SPEAKER_01:If you if you had Dallas Goddard on your bench, he better not be any any longer. Um on the other side, Chico Kongwo has a hamstring injury. Um, we don't have any updates on that. Um, so keep an eye out for that if that's something that you're in a type of league where you gotta Chico Conquo. He's not on too many people's radar, but um look out for his injury. He might not be playing next week. Um Stefan Diggs looked really good. Um, but Gary Terry did not look good at all.
SPEAKER_07:Expect to go against Mitchell, though. Expected lining up against Mitchell.
SPEAKER_01:I I don't I don't have high hopes for um the commander's offense, really. I do like they played Dallas this week.
SPEAKER_07:Let's revisit this week, too.
SPEAKER_01:Dallas was terrible. As a matter of fact, let's get into that. We had New York Giants versus the Dallas Cowboys. Night game, prime time, 28-20, Giants took the dub. I was, I was, I didn't even think that we'd win week one. And I'm a Giants fan. So to see that 28-20 commanding victory like that, and to see it be an all-around victory, the defense was good, the offense was good, the run game was good, the pass game was good. It wasn't turnovers real bad.
SPEAKER_01:It was a it was a great sign for the Giants. The Cowboys.
SPEAKER_07:What happened? You could tell John Harborough had his hand on uh that the new uh development of the Giants. It was a well-coached team.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, yeah, man. Uh Jackson Darrell had 26 fantasy points. He went in the 11th round in our league, so to get that many points out of somebody that late is fantastic. Probably gonna be in the starting lineup for the foreseeable future. Um, Isaiah likely, 27 fantasy points. He went crazy. I feel like we should have seen Harbaugh chose him to come over to the Giants. I feel like we should have thought more highly of him, but that's in hindsight. He's he's looking great after week one.
SPEAKER_01:But then again, he's he's had a few great week ones. So let's see if it continues. They play the Rams next week. Um, Malik Neighbors had 13. Now, 13 is not too great for somebody you get in the third round, but he's coming off an injury. We didn't even know if he was gonna play, and he looked healthy. He he didn't just get his 13 off of one or two catches. I feel like he got it caught a catch him in the first quarter. He got a catch in the second, the third, the fourth.
SPEAKER_01:He was he was like slowly eased into the game. I think he had about uh 70% of the snaps he played, which is great for uh first week back from such a bad injury. So Neighbors is looking really good. I wouldn't say he's you know gonna drop 30 next week, but he he's dropping 30 this season for sure.
SPEAKER_07:Um, not even that stick. He um I heard a story that he wasn't even comfortable in playing. He told his family not to even come to the game because he didn't think he was gonna play. Did y'all hear that John Harbaugh had to tackle him to get him comfortable to play? Before John Harbaugh actually tackled him.
SPEAKER_05:I heard the rumor, but I didn't know that was the reason.
SPEAKER_07:Yeah, so he wasn't it was it's it's more mental with him, so he's only gonna get better as the week goes on. The weeks go on.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, for sure. Neighbors is gonna be pretty good this season based on how he looked week one, unless he just did that good because of how bad that Cowboys defense looked. They look terrible, they look like that. And it's crazy like that. There's a lot of defenses that was really good last year that looked really bad this year. And they were a really bad defense last year, and they improved and still looked worse. It's crazy. Um Dak only had 15 fantasy points, which is not bad, but Dak was going a little higher up than you know, somebody like Dart was going.
SPEAKER_01:So you might have that might have hurt you a little bit. Um, Javante Williams, however, had 24. He was a keeper in our league, but he was going in a round, what, like third, fourth round in the draft? And he put up first round numbers week one, even even in a loss. They didn't score too much. They only had 20, but Javante put his stamp on the game. So I feel like whether the Cowboys are winning or losing, Javante's gonna have a piece of whatever's going on in that offense.
SPEAKER_01:Um, CD had 15. CD looked okay. The offense didn't do too much. We're expecting the Cowboys to be a high-powered offense, and they did not look like that week one. Um, but CD giving you 15 on a bad week means that CD's gonna be nice. Um Pickens, on the other hand, only had five points. He has some bad drops. He has some bad drop. I feel like that was C D last year. C D was the person with the bad drop last year, and this year it's Pickens doing it.
SPEAKER_04:Um that offense, then you keep starting picking.
SPEAKER_01:You drafted him high enough where he's gotta be in your lineup no matter what. So um he should bounce back next week. But we'll see. Um all right, now we got the AFC East. Let's start with Miami. Let's get them out the way. They're looking like a bad football team. Levon A channel had 10 points. He's going in the first, second round, and it did not look great. Um, he is the main point of that offense, so I'm expecting better things for sure from the future.
SPEAKER_01:Um, and I wasn't expecting too much against the Raiders because I'm actually thinking the Raiders is gonna be a good defense this year. So I'm not gonna hold too much against them because of how highly I do think of that defense. Um, Malik Willis has 17. People drafted him very, very late. So 17 is a great score. He he ran the ball like we wanted him to. He threw more than like a terrible, you know, like a uh Justin Field. He's he's actually able to throw the ball.
SPEAKER_01:We see that. Um he got Caleb Douglas the ball. He had 14 fan points. So Malik Willis on a on a first time being a full-time starting quarterback. Obviously, there's gonna be some growing pains, but for what for the first game of the season, it wasn't bad.
SPEAKER_07:It wasn't bad. Mine too. He's on and he's on my bench.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I'm excited. I'm excited to see what Malik Willis can do for fantasy in the future. I'm not expecting much for football. But for fantasy, I'd definitely like to see more.
SPEAKER_04:You gonna trade for him?
SPEAKER_01:No, I got bonets, next to five. Oh man.
SPEAKER_07:Get to the next team, dog.
SPEAKER_01:Um let's get the jets. Let's get the jets out of the way. Uh Brees Young. Brees Young had 19 fantasy points. He looked really good. Brees Hall, my bad. Brees Hall had 19 fantasy points. He looked really good. Garrett Wilson had 13. Not too bad, especially for um, you know, Gino's first game back with the Jets. Uh he he didn't look good. I hope nobody's starting Gino in fantasy ever. He didn't look good in fantasy. But if you're two years ago, you couldn't say that.
SPEAKER_01:Well, then we're in this year. So let's talk about this year.
unknown:Okay.
SPEAKER_01:I ain't starting Gino. And I hope you're not either. But compared to other Jets quarterbacks, he looks like he can actually get people the ball. It helped Brees, it helped uh Brees Hall a lot. It looks like it's helping uh Adonai Mitchell. He had about 60 yards on three catches, which is not bad for the two on the Jets. And like I said, Garrett Wilson with 13. Um that that seems almost like his floor. So I feel like he's gonna do a lot better than that.
SPEAKER_01:He's gonna have some 20, 30 point weeks. Um, the way Geno Smith's actually able to move in offense. You know, too much. Yeah. He said okay.
SPEAKER_06:Uh I'd like to point out the rookie too.
SPEAKER_05:Uh Sadiq. He had a uh little Russian touchdown at the beginning of that game. Yeah. I feel like he's gonna be a player at some point.
SPEAKER_07:Super athletic, somebody we need to keep on our radar.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, yeah, uh, they have uh rookie Omar Cooper Jr. He sprained his ankle and he's week to week. Um he's not somebody that was on people starting radar either, but um yeah, he he was a target. Look, uh, believe the wide receiver three in that system. Uh, but he's gonna be out for a little while, not too long. All right, now for the good teams. Well, sort of, the Patriots. Patriots look very bad. What was that, the first game of the season? Yeah. Was that Wednesday night?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. Wednesday night. Oh my god, it looked terrible. But that Seattle defense is looking like it is unstoppable. Unstoppable. But Greg May is leaving 12 fantasy points. Not looking too good. But it's week one. We've seen teams do bad week one, and they're able to bounce back. Um, it's hard to say this is exactly how teams are gonna be after one week. Um I'm definitely not expecting this bad a game from Drake May. However, with AJ Brown getting a high ankle sprain, um I don't see Drake May going crazy, really.
SPEAKER_01:Uh, he's probably gonna be right around that 15 to 22 point range every week if he doesn't have somebody like he had Stefan Daves last year um to throw the ball to like that. He's he's done great with the rushing. He did great week one on running the ball. But I don't think he's gonna run enough to compensate for what he's not gonna have in the passing game. Um Ramondre had 14, but that was without Trevion Henderson, who's back at practice. So um, I don't think Ramondre is gonna be able to do as much without um with Trevion actually in the lineup.
SPEAKER_01:I think Trevion is a better running back, more explosive, and right now they're gonna need more explosive without AJ Brown in that offense. Um and then we got the Bills. Save the best for last. Josh Allen went nuts. He was deserved to go in the third round. Is that where he went in the third? Yep. Yeah. Surprised he didn't go in the second. Wait, our our topic uh but uh Josh Allen, 330 passing yards, two touchdowns, and another two rushing touchdowns.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, that guy's ridiculous. James Cook underperformed, however. He only had 57 rush yards, three catches, 12 yards, just about 10 fantasy points.
SPEAKER_07:Um worry about not worry about that though. Uh Houston, you can tell their goal is a shutdown to run. But uh better days for James Cook.
SPEAKER_01:I'm definitely expecting better days for James Cook. James Cook is a great runner. Uh the only reason why I couldn't take him in the first round is because he has a he has a fumbling issue. He he fumbled week one and he didn't even fall. He didn't even hit the ground. That's how loose he holds the ball. And when you got a rushing quarterback like Josh Allen, they they will take the ball out of your hand and give it to the best player on the floor, and it can become a ball.
SPEAKER_01:They scored 36 points and Wolf Cook. Didn't have none of that.
SPEAKER_04:True.
SPEAKER_01:And um, like I say, I'm still expecting James Cook to have plenty of great games, but he's gotta stop fumbling like that. Um DJ Moore, fantastic, 21 fantasy points. He went crazy. He started off a little slow, but he finished up with five catches for 100 yards and a touchdown. At first, I was like, oh man, DJ Moore is not gonna have a good year. He's gonna be quiet. He's not that good, and then I think the maybe the first pass to him was like 12 yards and then 40 yards.
SPEAKER_01:And then they never look back. So DJ Moore is uh is a muck start for the rest of the year for sure. Um, Don Kincaid. Thought out. Don Kincaid. He did his thing. Five for one thirty, right? Five for one thirty. No touchdown needed to get 18 more. Yeah, he thought out. When you when you got a when you got a player as good as Josh Allen, you want the pieces around him. Even even Khalil Khalil Shakir did okay. Four for 50, nine fantasy points. If that's somebody that you got on the back of your bench, you're happy with nine fantasy points.
SPEAKER_07:Speak speaking for yourself.
SPEAKER_01:I'm sure I don't I think he's rostered in league, so I'm sure a lot of people listening have Khalil Shakir on the back of their bench.
SPEAKER_05:Urgyo.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, until until there's something better out there. That's the AFC East.
SPEAKER_07:Week one. They say it's no issue, but it's just something to pay attention to as well. Cool money, cool money.
SPEAKER_06:All right, so I'm not gonna like really throw too many stats out there. Um stats, like if I can, you know, throw them off on his face, I will. However, I am gonna start with what's that? The NFC South? They're about my favorite damn division because my damn team is in that division. Shout out to my Falcons. Rise up, even though we lost week one. Yeah, we should have played a whole lot better. Uh yeah, missing cues and all of that. But anyway, so just gonna highlight specific players as far as uh you should just have them in your lineup or you know, whatever to do with them.
SPEAKER_06:Anyway, so how are we gonna do this? Bijan Robinson, you should just be starting them all the time. Uh, I believe he had about 10 catches, about 90, 93 yards, about that. Uh scored off of a screenplay on a 23-yard pass play. Uh, just somebody you're starting all the time. You're just never taking them out of your lineup, injury or not. Uh, Drake London, he'll be back. He'll be back next week. Um, I know the quarterback issue is uh an issue. Uh he was a part of that whole me saying that my first first round, second round picks with the bed.
SPEAKER_06:Uh Jamar chasing Drake London. Went in the bed. It don't sound too well. Still pissing the bed at y'all's age, which is kind of crazy. But uh Drake London, he'll be back though. Uh feel like he'll have a bounce back week. I believe that we played Carolina this week. Yeah, we play Carolina. So, you know, spanky, spanky, spanky on the corner. Uh, Kyle Pitts, temper your expectations. Um, I know tight ends are normally a bad quarterback's best friend or an average quarterback's best friend, but it just seems as though you're just still gonna go through the peaks and valleys with Kyle Pitts, no matter how many times we try to trust him.
SPEAKER_06:Um, that's just kind of how it rolls with Kyle Pitts. Um, put up a whole donut. So it's in one of those situations where, yeah, you gotta be able to run with the bad weeks, do with the good ones. If you have a better tight end, roll with the better tight end. I know there are a whole lot of better tight ends, uh, well, not better tight ends, but a whole lot of tight ends that had about nine to ten points that are sitting in free agency right now, could be rostered on your team, but I I looked into the tight end pool earlier today, and I was like, uh, got Britain Strange out there.
SPEAKER_06:Shit, I believe TJ Hawkinson's out there. Uh you know, you got a whole that's you know, that that's just the beauty of the game, though. Means come, peaks and valleys, that's just how it rolls. Um, injuries, from what I know, we have just O line injuries that matter. Uh our best offensive lineman, Lindstrom, he's out uh for now with a concussion protocol. I call it out because you know, more likely this than not, they don't normally clear within the first week a lot of the times, especially the fact that he's an offensive lineman.
SPEAKER_06:Uh, we'll just see. Shout out to the offensive linemen getting a little fantasy nod, by the way. Uh moving on. Saints. Shout out, Tyler.
SPEAKER_01:We didn't mention the quarterback.
SPEAKER_00:I didn't have to. That's the reason why all those players didn't do good.
SPEAKER_06:I mean, we're not. Do we need to talk about the elephant in the room with Tua and how we just don't have a quarterback? And how all of those, you know, you might have to temper your expectation with those players, but you know, Drake London's good enough to, you know, sal you know, salvage a bad quarterback. Same thing with Bijan.
SPEAKER_07:So it's like no, I was I was saying, hey, if you get hurt throwing throwing practice throws to indiv uh invisible people, I don't think you should be wanting him to be your starting quarterback, but uh two are don't want to play football.
SPEAKER_06:Yeah, to is on that trend line of uh do and don't, and he's really on the don't line. Like, just don't. Just yeah, my boy, it's it's been a ride, Paul. It's been a ride, man. You had a couple of good seasons.
SPEAKER_07:But honestly, when Tua's in a lineup and Penix is in a lineup, you should see a lot more from uh Drake and Kyle Pitts.
SPEAKER_06:Yeah, yeah. For now, with Pitts tip of the expectation, because again, his talent trend line is cool, but that's a lot of uh short yardage midfield situations. And if the quarterback play is mid, you might not get 29-yard, 30-yard pass plays from the mid-quarterback. You're probably getting more likely the 10-yarders, the 15-yarders, and those are more than likely to go to the outside receivers, which outsiders rate London. We still we still like that.
SPEAKER_06:So uh, but Falcons will be Falcons, rise up, dirty bird nation. We know that.
SPEAKER_01:Uh, I know you didn't just call Cooper Rush mid. He is mid.
SPEAKER_03:Unless I mean, he was he was not the court.
SPEAKER_06:He listened that that pick that he threw, that was just a great TJ Watt play. And uh like he, if you look at the if you go back to that play, he Cooper Rush didn't there like double take at uh I think that was Bijan on that side, I believe it was. It's like he double looked, and I'm like, he should have just threw to him on his first look because TJ wasn't in position to make the pick. So I'm just like, oh shit, he had got him into the position just by looking at him the first time.
SPEAKER_06:That's why his second flashback, bruh, he threw that shit. I'm like, that's crazy. And you you look, you're gonna be on my quarterback heels. Look, damn it.
SPEAKER_01:I just admitted speaking highly of Cooper Rush. Hey.
SPEAKER_06:Well, listen, listen, JJ McCarthy is bad. JJ McCarthy is bad, okay? Max Brosburg was bad. That's that's Viking shit from last year. You know what I mean? The Cleveland quarterback situation from last year is hell, even just Sean Watson. Ah, I don't know what you want to call that. He played like uh Sunday. I don't know if you want to call it good, I don't know if you want to call it mid. Especially not good. Yeah, I'm about to say, like, let's move on to the next team.
SPEAKER_06:Um, so just Paul, since he just got done killing me, I'm gonna kill him because uh one of one of our good brothers, he underestimated Tyler Shark for at least the first week of the season. I can I can uh go against the green here and say, hey, stick, you yes, yeah, you did go against the green, sir. No, I didn't listen. We wanted Tyler Two picks.
SPEAKER_01:You never didn't. I said I wanted you to keep Tyler Shark. I never said he wasn't good.
SPEAKER_06:Hold on, hold on. You wanted Tyler Shuck to be what a starter? Yeah. Hell shit, you could have got him. But hey, but uh hey, listen, he's coming into his own, he will be anyway, um, by season, and he'll have a lot more to say with his fantasy play, more than not. Uh, three touchdowns, two picks. I mean, hell, from what I know, that's the Matthew Stafford uh touchdown interception line early in his career with Calvin Johnson and them boys. So, I mean, even if you're on that tread line, just to get you a little bit better, you cut down the turnovers.
SPEAKER_06:I think he threw for about 300 plus yards, shit, about maybe about 400 plus yards for real, for real. If I go back and look, um, just a good case of again coming into his own. Uh, he has a slight receiving core, you know, to say the least. Chris Alabe is in his receiving core, which I'll get to in a sec. Um, you have Travis Etienne Achan, formerly known, I guess you want to call it to say. Uh, he's the Bal Cal for now. Uh, I think you should roster him up.
SPEAKER_06:You know, it's a great one-two punch for the Tyler Shucks situation. Um, until Kamara comes back or at least cuts into it. But Kendra Miller scored last week. So if that can be a one-two punch, then Camara's gonna wind up either being the relief back or you know, cutting back into playing time when he comes back. But for now, and we don't have any updates on Camara with his injury with his knee. But um, you know, Granada, so we get the updates. Uh temper my expectation there with the uh run game outside of uh Travis H and for anybody that you should just be rostering, but should be paying attention to Kenjay Miller in that situation.
SPEAKER_06:Uh, same thing with the whole Jordan Tyson, whoever drafted Jordan Tyson, shout out, bro. Um those that drafted Jordan Tyson, you know, you're waiting for that injury. Devon Vale's probably sitting in your free agent pool. Uh, so you know, if you're not necessarily desperate for a wide receiver, but didn't necessarily draft Devon Vailey, go grab him up. Treat him as an incoming, yeah, very solid.
SPEAKER_07:I've had him in uh six for 79 in the TUD.
SPEAKER_06:Uh-huh. Six for 79 in the TUD, solid. He's I remember rostering him about maybe two years ago when he was with Denver, and he played about two weeks into my starting lineup. He wasn't he wasn't bad. I think he scored about seven or nine around those times. He was decent then, he's gonna be decent now. You could treat him as an incoming wide receiver three, depending on when Jordan Tyson comes back, how they treat him. But for now, just treat him as an incoming wide receiver three that you can possibly sneak into your lineup if you have like an injury, like the AJ Brown injury, and you're lacking because your leak pause, your league's deep.
SPEAKER_06:Maybe you're in a 14-team league, 12 team league, you know, and people draft smart. Some people in our draft uh tend to draft three quarterbacks, and we only start one, but uh, you know, that's here near there. Chris Olave's the I guess you could say the best team, the best available, best player on the team, best everything on the team at wide receiver. As long as he's healthy, starting him. You know, uh, you could treat him as a top 10 wide receiver just about every week, top 12 maybe, uh, every week.
SPEAKER_06:Uh yeah, he did. Yeah, he did. He and he's always gonna be that guy that's gonna feature about six to seven catches on about 10 targets a game. So even at 10 targets a game, and he's getting you maybe close to 100 yards with a lot of his field play, he's running a lot of. I've always seen him running about those 15 your uh 15 yard curl routes and things of that nature. So uh yeah, as long as as long as he's healthy, you're starting him. Uh and the tight ends, you're treating this fly by night.
SPEAKER_06:Uh Juwan Johnson had a decent game, but that's not that's not a forever thing in their tight end system. Uh tight ends haven't worked out great in New Orleans since Jimmy Graham, if we all are being serious here. So we'll see.
SPEAKER_07:Yeah, I kind of disagree. I think the Jawan Johnson is a nice little tight end.
SPEAKER_06:He's he's he's decent to roster, but he's not, you know, I'm not screaming out of the uh bang to go grab him and start him in your lineup. You know, he got to show the consistency enough to do that. He he had a decent season last year for what we know it for, but hey, you know, we say that a lot about a lot of tight ends, and we, you know, we have a lot of those perceptions of a lot of the like I thought TJ Hawkinson was gonna come back after his injuries and still be a top five tight end, I think, at one point.
SPEAKER_06:And he hasn't been top five probably since I said the shit. So so you know, I temper your expectation, but good ones, good expectations for uh J1 Johnson. Uh moving on to the Panthers. Uh Bryce Young. I feel like Bryce, you know, great game. This that was more a slug fest until it wasn't, until the Bears basically took over that game. Um, but Bryce Young, he kind of showed that he should be matchup based. Uh I would feel like if you have him roster and you're looking at that Matthew Stafford situation from last week as like a scare, you're you're probably saying, hey, if Bryce Young's in free agency, he's playing us this week, playing the Falcons this week.
SPEAKER_06:Hey, you know, you could trust that. You know, that that's gonna be one of those games where um I feel like that's gonna be a 24-21 finish on either side with a lot of field play. Um injuries to consider, though, in his receiving core. Jalen Coker was in a walk-in boot. Uh, but they said that he's, you know, that's just a monetary thing. We're gonna monitor that day to day and see how he feels going into the uh to the Sunday. Um Tet, he had a good game.
SPEAKER_06:You know, Ala Coker, who wrecked the game with what, 38 fantasy points, I think it was 38, 37. I think he had the highest fantasy point total this week. Uh if I'm not mistaken, could be. Um, but TT still had a good game. Tet, however you want to call it. Um, I would say to load them two up as far as your wide receivers go with Carolina. Not much to speak on with the tight ends. I believe one of them scored. I believe it was Tremble, if I'm not mistaken.
SPEAKER_06:If he did, if he didn't. Uh the running backs tread lightly. Jonathan Brooks, I believe he had only about five or six touches.
SPEAKER_07:Yeah, seven touches. No, no, no, no. He's like seven points. Oh, seven points. Yeah, seven points.
SPEAKER_06:But he had five, but he had five or six touches on set. So that's not necessarily bad for mixing them in the field play. But you want to see more before you even consider him to be a flex, even. So um that's one thing. Chuba Hubbard, uh, as much as Chuba Hubbard's like, he's like one of those fantasy players where when you start Chuba Hubbard and he does good, you might want to start him next week. But then when he does bad, it's like you want to involve him in a trade that you want to get him off your team because he's a decent name for a trade package.
SPEAKER_06:Chuba Hubbard confuses like me, not with the whole you know, field play of it all, but it's just the simplicity of bro, if he stays healthy and does what he did Sunday consistently, he'll be an every week starter and not have to, you know, worry about losing his job. But the the fact that he always worries about losing his job because not because he can't stay healthy, but because he can't show flashes of even what he showed last week. So I feel like tread lightly, yeah, but you might be able to trust it on a week, week by week thing, depending on how you want to play it in your flex with Chuba Hubbard.
SPEAKER_06:Because if he's gonna get the boatload of the carriers until they see what Jonathan Brooks, then maybe you're thinking, hey, Jonathan Brooks is gonna stay on the bench and maybe he'd be using the straight bait. That's always a good thing. Again, Jalen Coker, walking boot, be good. Uh Bucks. The Bucks the Bucks are a fishy team to me. Um Baker. Still have to temper your expectations after week one. Uh that was an ugly. It's like an ugly game. It's a weird game.
SPEAKER_06:Like, it's just a weird game. I believe he coughed up the ball um for a fumble two times. Three times. Yeah, like yeah, three times. You know what I mean? Uh the Bengals, what they four, seven turnovers and like four force fumbles, couple uh couple picks. Uh, and I'm just like, hey, uh, Bengals defense is gonna come back to play this year, especially acquiring Dexter Lawrence in the offseason. But uh for the Bucs to play as bad as they did, uh, overall it was one thing, but uh player-by-player basis, temper your expectations with uh bigger, especially because of his receiving core.
SPEAKER_06:No Mike Evans in Tampa. That shit sounds crazy as hell, doesn't it? But you got Chris Godwin basically leading a wide receiver charge as far as veteran-ness, but then you got Ibuka being the bright spot, but even he only had a few catches uh to the point where he only had about 11 fantasy points. So uh as far as I'm concerned, you want to temper your expectations there. They won't have a great year, Tampa Bay wide receivers. Like I think I think Abuka might get maybe that flat thousand, and that'll be that, but I don't think their wide receiver core is gonna have a great year, especially per fantasy.
SPEAKER_06:Um, Bucky Irving, very much a bright spot. He's the team's RB1. I don't know why they play with it in the player notes, like he wasn't before he got hurt last year. But if they're not gonna make Sean Tucker the RB1 when he has those explosive games, and that's kind of all Sean Tucker's known for, Bucky Irving's the team's number one. Like, just he's their number one running back, he's pretty much their best player at this point. Um, you want to be able to treat that as maybe RB, you know, maybe one day RB2, he's RB2 status locked in or RB1 status locked in, depending on how you see it.
SPEAKER_06:But he could be a third to a lot of them, too. So um Bucks don't really have too much really going on.
SPEAKER_07:Uh my next division with speed let's speed up because we're getting real close to 90 minutes.
SPEAKER_06:I got you. So the Bengals, AFC North, start with the Bengals. Burrow, better start than week one, but you tread towards a great season. Uh normally he wets the bed week one, has about five or six fantasy points. Believe he finished with like 15 this week, which hell, I'll take 15 from Joe Burrow week one, you know, despite what we know. Uh and Burrow's what a top five quarterback in the league, considerably the most people. And Joe Burrow will be all right.
SPEAKER_06:Joe Burrow will be fine. Uh Chase, three was that 3.2 week one. But they, you know, so like Sticky said, they don't they don't start out great anyway. Uh Chase normally does this. I think his most points in the last couple of years in week one, the most he had was like nine, which isn't great for him anyway. But uh yeah, he'll he'll be fine. Jamar Chase is Jamar Chase. He's been the number one receiver in fantasy, what, for the last two years for a reason.
SPEAKER_06:Um T. Higgins, you know, relax if you panicked. If you panicked off of what, eight or nine points, relax. It'll be fine. You know, he gives you those couple of catches a game, gets you about 70, 80 yards. Even if he gives you that decent 100-yard game, again, you'll be fine. Uh, Chase Brown, I personally think, and this is probably a hot take, but I think Chase Brown will be the best player overall for them, like as far as fantasy points go. Like, even if Jamar finishes top three wide receiver, I think Chase Brown has a chance to finish top three running backs.
SPEAKER_06:So I have Chase Brown very high on my uh rankings list a minute ago, and I think I had him, I think at four or five. But my biggest thing about Chase Brown is his he's shifty. Guy can get open in the past game, and he, you know, gets about a decent amount of carries, about 20 a game now, and he doesn't have anything to worry about on the back end. He's their bell cow and he's their vital point to that backfield. Tight ends, flash games, no worries.
SPEAKER_06:Goseki having a great game. Uh, you know, got to run towards the free agency if he's there. Don't even do it. But if you're lacking a tight end on your bench and you want to, you know what I mean, up that depth, go right ahead. Maybe that's trusted all on a one-week basis, but again, flash games, no worries. Moving on, Steelers. Aaron Rodgers, still a bench quarterback. You know, there's nothing gonna be going on with Aaron Rodgers in that Pittsburgh passing game that's gonna make you want to go get Aaron Rodgers for your fantasy team.
SPEAKER_06:That's that's that's kind of like it's ludicrous. You don't do that. You want your team to at least look good. Aaron Rodgers and your team, mm-mm. That's that's not looking good. Even though he finished with what, 12, 13, better than some, better than most, but hell, it's week one. Uh, the runner backs. Uh Warren did better, uh, but temper your expectations with that because that could also be by a week-by-week basis with him and Rico Doddle. Um, Rico Doddle is still someone prominent to have, especially for you know, when it gets deeper and later into the season, especially how it gets cold in Pittsburgh and things like that.
SPEAKER_06:They'll start to rely on that runner game. So that's perfect territory for Rico Doddle and for a Jalen Warren for that matter. So you'll do well if you started uh either one of them last week, for real, for real. I started them in the flex myself. Uh wide receivers. Don't uh until a rapport comes in with Aaron Rodgers that he has consistency with any wide receiver in uh Pittsburgh, I wouldn't be starting any Pittsburgh wide receiver in my fantasy lineup at all.
SPEAKER_06:Not even for a flex consideration, not even a DK Metcalf. Sorry, I just I don't see it. I didn't see it during the draft. I don't see it now. I'm uh even though the stats looked good last year for the catch, you know, I think he had like 50 catches for like eight. So that's that's great. That means you're a flash play guy. You know what I mean? Like, we'll we'll get you on the flash in the pan throws, but you know, your days of being the nine catch, 138-yard, two touchdown guys, like DK, you're not that old.
SPEAKER_06:But it's like, I guess my boy be pumping too much weight. Uh tight ends. Again, what I said about Cincinnati, flash games, uh Prat Fire move. He does this once every like four weeks. Every one, every once in a blue Pat Fryer move pops up on fantasy radars. Nothing to be nothing to jump out of the gym about. I think he had about what 13, about that. Um, I'm not doing anything with uh Pittsburgh and their offense. Uh Browns. Start the rookies if you need to, um, but always start Harold Fannon and Judkins.
SPEAKER_06:Uh I would start either one of them all the time if I had them. Uh Judkins, I think he finished with seven last week, and Fannon, I think he finished with a low amount too. I believe he had about uh eight.
SPEAKER_04:What is that?
SPEAKER_06:I don't remember if I think he had like six or seven.
SPEAKER_07:Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_06:How about to say he he the them donuts that last week, boy? Them donuts did still a box pause. But uh other than that, no starts. Uh I wouldn't be starting anybody outside of the rookies, Harold Finn and the Judgins. Uh there's no reason to start him.
SPEAKER_01:Okay. Okay, cool, cool.
SPEAKER_06:Copy that. Um, yeah, you're not starting quarterbacks in Cleveland. That that's not, I I don't know who's confidently doing that ever. Uh, especially if it's not a double quarterback league. Uh other than that, I got nothing for the Browns, honestly. There's nothing, Paul's, there's nothing to really have. Uh nobody had a great game. I mean, even the rookies popped for decent games, better than some of the starters. So, but again, that's week one.
SPEAKER_06:Don't go too crazy off of that. Uh, the Ravens. Lamar, after week one, felt like Lamar that that MVP Mar season might be coming into it to its own. Uh, I know it's week one, but Lamar looked great. Uh Lamar looked like Lamar. Lamar, it didn't look like there were any setbacks going on. Uh Zay Flowers five for 150 in the first half before he tweaked his handstring. That doesn't say that Lamar Jackson was holding back. Uh I think we're uh I think we're very much happy with what we saw Sunday from Lamar.
SPEAKER_06:And I feel as though that Lamar is gonna be MVP more again. Maybe not in the MVP, but definitely back in that top five fantasy guys' conversation. Uh Zay Flowers' injury with the hamstring, that'll the impact, I feel as though it'd be light, uh, but still is a high wide receiver, too, so far, especially with five for 150 in the first half. Could have continued for more had he not tweaked the hamstring. So we don't know what that could have really looked like and finished with.
SPEAKER_06:Uh, for Zay Flowers to do that week one is a very much a good sign for whether you're a Zay Flowers owner or if you're looking to trade for a wide receiver, be on that lookout to want to trade for somebody like Zay Flowers. And Derrick Henry is still for what people call him King Henry. I am one of those people that won't draft him because of I don't know when that age bug is gonna come in, but from what it seems as though, and people keep trying to put in my head pause, that don't seem like it's gonna happen.
SPEAKER_06:Fellas, what y'all think about uh Derek Henry, real quick in a little 30-second like spat? Like, what y'all got for Derrick Henry, man? Y'all y'all think this is forever with Derrick Henry's career?
SPEAKER_07:Not forever, but he got a good two years left for being nasty.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I would say this year and and maybe next year. And that's it.
SPEAKER_06:Okay, okay. Got you, got you. Uh the rest of the offense depends on Lamar. Um, Mark Andrews, I believe, finished with nine, about 8.8, 8.9. Um, Mark Andrews is still good, but he's past that prime of being a top three tight end in the league. So now he's kind of just looked at as a blanket for Lamar, but a good blanket, nonetheless. So, but the rest of the offense, again, depends on Lamar. They don't have a really decent wide receiver core, especially because Jacoby Lane got hurt too.
SPEAKER_06:So now you're, you know, you might be down Zay Flowers and Jacoby Lane. Two of your bright spots from the offseason and then the incoming season for Zay Flowers. So we'll see with uh with Baltimore. Um yeah, that's that's pretty much it.
SPEAKER_07:Uh that's pull up Jordan's notes for the AFC. I guess they're the South. That's all they have to do. I think he has a lot, south is the Colts. It's the East, East, East. Is it AFC? Yeah. Oh, the AFC East is the Dolphins in them. What is uh what's the Chargers in them? West, AFC West. Yeah, if we just run through Jordan's notes real quick.
SPEAKER_04:My bad, I know. Put them in the group chat. Um Chargers.
SPEAKER_01:Um lost to the Cardinals by eight. Hampton 43 rushing yards. Herbert 209 yards, one touchdown, one interception. Herbert looks very average. Large amounts of pressure on him to perform, and he did not. And I can agree with that. Chargers. Chargers look bad losing to the Cardinals.
SPEAKER_07:Killed me on my survivor pool, man. Fuck the Chargers. Plumbing it right after Makaki's injury.
SPEAKER_01:Is that the team you pick?
SPEAKER_07:I I put two sheets in this year, so Jaguars got me in, but Chargers knocked me out.
SPEAKER_01:I joined this league where you just pick one team. And if you pick that team and they lose, then you're out for the year, type of shit. And I went with the uh the Jaguars, but I almost went with the I think the number one chosen team was the Chargers.
SPEAKER_07:Yeah, 300 teams.
SPEAKER_01:Number one children was the Chargers. Gente looks very good with two touchdowns, 23 carries for 100 yards. Kirk Cousins has 100 301 passing touchdowns. And now I'm on great company for quarterbacks that have thrown 300 plus.
SPEAKER_04:Very much so.
SPEAKER_01:That's all we got for the AFC West.
SPEAKER_07:Alright, so um, since we're running on time, let's just go right into our start and sits. In this column, we just want to give y'all players for week two that we recommend you should start, and then players that we recommend you should sit. Who wants to lead this off? Let's go let's start with the starts actually.
SPEAKER_05:I'll lead off. So you're obviously starting B. John and Drake for the Falcons.
SPEAKER_06:Um, you're starting Tyler Shuck, Travis H and DeBon Bailey, Chris Alabe for the Saints. For the Panthers, you're starting Chuba in your flex if you have to. Um I would you're only supposed to pick three people. Oh, you saw my oh, it's three people. Oh, I didn't know. You only have to three people.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, I didn't know. Uh uh, my apologies, folks. My apologies. Yeah, three stars.
SPEAKER_06:Oh, well, I would I would say shit. By all ways of my division, I would say uh Chase B. John, and I would say uh say Lamar. Uh that would be my starts. Obviously, all 18 said their offense, so start all of them.
SPEAKER_01:I'm going next. I'm I'm gonna actually pick players that you're thinking about starting and not players that are guaranteed to start. Um, so I I went with Khalil Shakir. Um they play they play the Lions next week. It's looking like a 55 point um four total from Vegas. So that that's looking like it's gonna be a shootout. It's also a primetime Thursday game. So the Lions put up points, the Bills put up points. I think Kaloshakir could be a sneaky good start this week.
SPEAKER_01:Um, another start I got is Stefan Diggs. Stefan Diggs for the commanders, they're going against the Cowboys. That defense looked terrible. And Stefan Diggs looked like one of the bright spots for the commander. So I'm expecting big things. And uh he had a good week one, and not a lot of people had him in their lineups for week one. So I would definitely get him in your lineup for week two. Um my third start is my third start is gonna be um Isaiah Likely.
SPEAKER_01:27 fantasy points um for the New York Giants. They're going up against the Rams. The Rams is looking a little questionable all of a sudden. They went from looking like the Super Bowl favorites to looking like are they gonna make the playoffs? Um Miles Garrett is out for um about a month, probably, with his surgery. Um, we don't know when Aaron Donald's coming back. And Isaiah likely, I'm saying this week one, going into week two, because if Isaiah likely does this again, he will not be in my start sit conversations anymore because he should be in your starting lineup every week.
SPEAKER_01:Tight ends that put up 20 plus are hard to come by. But those are my three sits start.
SPEAKER_07:Like those three picks, bro. Um, I'm gonna lead off with Jameson Williams, uh Thursday night shootout. I know he had a lot of drops for week one. A lot of people was a little worried, but he's gonna get his bounce back in the shootout Thursday night against Buffalo. I'm gonna follow up with Marshawn Lloyd. He's playing against the Jets. I know everybody was a little worried about week uh one, but um I think you're gonna see more of the running game and with the easier defense, he's gonna be a good start for you.
SPEAKER_07:And then my third start is um Tucker Kraft. He was the only pass catcher out of the uh Packers that didn't really uh bounce off the screen. But I think against the Jets, he's gonna have a very good game. And they're my three starts.
SPEAKER_01:I like that craft one. I don't know about Marshawn, but I like the craft start.
SPEAKER_04:Okay.
SPEAKER_01:I'm afraid of March on Lowell after that. That was a little too bad.
SPEAKER_06:All right, so go go back, go uh pause, go backwards on it. Hey, y'all do y'all sit. Sit them down, sit them down, sit them down. All right, so I got you.
SPEAKER_07:So I'll lead off with the sits. So um, I'm sitting the Titans backfield. Uh Taji Spears and uh Tony Pollard, they'll be playing the Philadelphia Eagles this week. As a combined, they only rush, they rush for under 50 yards against the Jets. So I don't see um them producing any rushing yards against the Philadelphia Eagles. They're two sits I recommend that I put together. Next, it would be um Alec Pierce. He's playing Sunday night, and uh uh Patrick 13 will be on them.
SPEAKER_07:So uh that's and then with the wrist injury, uh Alec Pierce, I don't recommend starting. And then my last one is uh BTJ. Brian Thomas Jr. uh he's actually no, I'm sorry. BTJ has uh Patrick 13. I don't uh we'll sit him and then I'm sorry, uh Alec Pierce is going against uh Sneed in Kansas City. So my three sits would be BTJ, Alec Pierce, and the Titans backfield.
SPEAKER_01:I definitely agree with all those.
SPEAKER_03:Same.
SPEAKER_01:Um I got from my sit list Perry McLaurin. They're playing the Cowboys next week, but I'm not expecting much from him. I'm expecting Diggs to do most of the receiving work, but I'm not expecting a great game offensively from the Commanders. I think the Cowboys will bounce back a little bit defensively, and I think the Commanders will decline a little bit offensively. Um, I also got Dontavion Wicks on my set list. The reason why I do is because the Eagles are playing Tennessee, and Tennessee is so terrible, I don't think they're gonna need anybody to do some deep passes the way Dontavian Wicks was was playing last week.
SPEAKER_01:I don't think they're gonna need it. I think they're just gonna run the ball the whole game. That's just the way I see the Eagles playing a terrible, terrible team like the Tennessee Titans. Um, and my last fit is Ramondre. Trevion is coming back next week. Like I said, I think the Patriots need Trevion to produce in order for this offense to move without AJ Brown. And I think Ramondre is going to not have enough touches to be a good option this week.
SPEAKER_07:They play the stingy Steelers defense as well. I like those picks. Thank who you got, Q2.
SPEAKER_06:All right, so my first hit, and honestly, it's kind of crazy. Comes from you comes from the Good Brothers team. Uh, as high as a draft pick as he was, you know, coming out of the gates, I'd sit Jeremiah love this week. Um, if you have a bet if you're in in one of them lower league teams, you know, where you got a stack bench, like if you're in an 8 to 10, or you know, you're in them 12 team leagues where you can afford to do so. There, you know, Arizona's playing Seattle.
SPEAKER_06:So I would say temper your expectations, maybe, but I would, you know, I would, you know, put them up there with the sixth category because you just don't know what type of way the run game's gonna go because last week they used Algier and enough, you know what I mean, enough times to say, all right, well, he's gonna be featured, you know, Jeremiah Love's gonna be featured also, but that was a light mix, and then they still talking up James Connor, so we still just don't we don't know.
SPEAKER_06:And then you're you're going against arguably the best defense in the league. You can't can't be arguable with your backfield going against the best, you know, best defense in the league, as far as you know the the the uh tape calls it. So uh he's first on my sit list. Uh next, uh crazy by trade. I will be sitting um Roma Dunze. So granted, uh, Luther Burton, you know what I mean? Luther Burton, you could say Roma Dunze is one of those guys that he'll he'll bounce back or he'll have a decent week or have a good week or he'll be featured more in the mix.
SPEAKER_06:Outside of that deep catch, I believe it was a 47-yard catch. Yeah, not much was done. I mean, he got some love out of it, but you know, 59 points. You would have thought Rome or Luther Burton would have done more, but I think maybe this is a Luther Burton type of week against um Minnesota, considerably that the best corner in Minnesota is gonna be on Rome rather than Luther, um, because speed is you know, one thing about Luther is just it's just that in speed, but I think it's uh forgot the guy's name in Minnesota, but he's a real top top guy.
SPEAKER_06:He's starting to be that top five corner himself. But uh Rome, I believe, is gonna have trouble this week. And he's a lot of people's alright receiver too. But if you could, if you have like a Stefan Diggs uh on your bench, maybe, or something like that, I would go even Stefan Diggs over uh Roma Duce this week, if I were some people. Uh and then my last one, uh this one kind of got me off, you know, a little bit, but like as far as like uh we'll see.
SPEAKER_06:But Parker Washington. Um for his highest he was drafted by some people, they got Denver this week. And I'm not shortchanging them for having the defense that they had like last night. Like, again, it's week one. What will we really do? You know, where we at with it. Pat Surtain's gonna be on maybe considerably their best receiver, but they don't even know who that is in Jacksonville yet. So if it's Parker Washington, if Pat Surtain lines up on Patrick, uh Parker Washington, what you gonna expect?
SPEAKER_06:Two catches, three catches, or them three gonna amount to enough in that slot. I don't know. Well, we gotta see. We'll we'll see. We'll see. Hey, that's a follow corner. He he does follow. So Patrick Sertane ain't scared of the smoke. So if it's Parker, he's on. Then like I see it to be me, you know, I see it strongly in that favor. So, but those are my three.
SPEAKER_01:Strongly disagree with Jeremiah Love.
SPEAKER_07:Strong disagree with Patrick, but um Parker Washington, because I feel like he's the only one going to eat because he's in this slot. But uh, hey, this is on clear.
SPEAKER_01:I feel like if Ramondre Stevenson could put up 14 fantasy points, Jeremiah Love can put up 14 fantasy points.
SPEAKER_06:Oh, okay. That's a decent perspective to have.
SPEAKER_07:Only argument with you, Quillie, is Ramondre did that with all the touches. So if Love was getting all the touches, but um, if he was getting all the touches, it would be uh easier, but love is on the Gibbs and Bijan's skill level, so he can just break one. But um, we'll see. Yeah, we'll see.
SPEAKER_06:We'll see. I feel like Paul's I think they'll bottle, I think they'll bottle that offense up to a degree. Like, I'm even scared myself to start Michael Wilson this week. I might be looking uh Quentin Johnston's way if Ladd doesn't play in Vegas.
SPEAKER_07:Oh, speaking of Michael Wilson, what'd he finish with? Four for 49? Uh nah, it was more in the five range. Uh because it was five for five. Okay. Got one at four for 49. So we uh you got week one so far on the bro bet. Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_06:Hold on. I'm I'm I'm gonna make sure. I'm gonna make sure of uh that not even the work of uh like the drafting skills of it all with me and you. It's just more of like what we thought around that uh round of the draft. Yeah, five for 56. You just didn't score.
SPEAKER_07:Okay. Well, that concludes sit and start. Um, we got our last segment. Uh sticky uh cue us up, boy. Game time. We got some good teams. We got some good teams too.
SPEAKER_06:Game time, game time. Let's freaking go.
SPEAKER_01:All right, let me make the uh let me make the notes so I got the players.
SPEAKER_06:Hey, stick, I know you used to win that everything, but you're not gonna win this shit this week. Tied of your punk ass winning the shit. You know, you know, this is the thing about winning. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_07:What's what's we got a lot of good players? Yeah, we do.
SPEAKER_06:Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_02:Buddy, buddy, it's gonna be evened out this week, buddy.
SPEAKER_01:So it's lions bills, yeah. C Colt Chief.
SPEAKER_04:Yes, sir. C. And then Rams Giant. C.
SPEAKER_01:Let's go, sir and dog. Um I'll let Quillie go first. Get a breakdown to the people first, but what breakdown the word?
SPEAKER_07:Just break it, break it down what uh what we're doing.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah, game chat.
SPEAKER_01:So this this the three of us are doing a little mini draft for for all the primetime games. Thursday night, Bills, Lions, Sunday night, Chiefs, Colts, Monday night, Giants, Rams. We're gonna draft one quarterback for the dogs, two wide receivers, two running backs, and a tight end, and a flex.
SPEAKER_07:Okay. All right, what was that? What was that bullshit at draft order you just said?
SPEAKER_01:Um, since I won last week, I get to determine the draft order this week. I'm gonna let Quilly go first, I'm gonna go second, and going third, and I think that's exactly how we did it last week. The exact order of last week. That's where I feel.
SPEAKER_07:I wanted it back to back, so we're cool. Let's go, kid. Start us off. I'm going Josh Allen, quarter back. Pause.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:I'm gonna go uh I'm gonna go Kenneth Walker.
SPEAKER_07:Damn. All right, K9. All right. I'm gonna go Jonathan Teller and you messed me up with that. Um I'm gonna go Jonathan Teller and St. Breezy.
SPEAKER_01:All right, I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go Jameer Gibbs.
SPEAKER_04:Damn, that's bugging. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_07:That's what I'm supposed to take. Your messed up. That's what I'm supposed to say. Your mess up. He said your mess up.
SPEAKER_06:Your mess up is hilarious. All right, give me uh give me James Cook and give me Kyron Williams.
SPEAKER_04:Ooh, my team's not gonna be with yours, is God damn.
SPEAKER_01:All right, give me um give me poker.
SPEAKER_04:I'm going to take scatterable and I'm going to take I'm going to take the dark.
SPEAKER_01:I'll take it DJ more use of it.
SPEAKER_02:Use a bitch.
SPEAKER_06:It's cool, it's cool, it's cool. Let me get Rashi Rice Let me Rashi Rice and let me get uh let me get Jameson Williams.
SPEAKER_01:Damn, bro. I would have took him if he didn't.
SPEAKER_07:You're about to take my next guy, I know.
SPEAKER_01:Um I'm gonna take I'm gonna take you didn't take him.
SPEAKER_07:All right. I'm gonna take Tyler Warren and I I'm gonna come back with Devontae Adams, and I think my draft is complete.
SPEAKER_01:You got Jonathan Taylor, Cam Scatterbo, you got Saint Brown, Devontae Adams, you got Dart, and you don't got a flex.
SPEAKER_07:I don't have flex, I need a flex, okay. And Tyler Warren's my tight end.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. Yeah, so you just need a flex. You just need a flex, yeah. So I'ma go, let's see. I'ma go with neighbors. That's my flex.
SPEAKER_04:It's a great flex to have.
SPEAKER_01:You got Josh Allen, you got James Cook, Kyron Williams, and then you got Rashi Rice and Jamison. So you need a tight end and a flex to finish flex.
SPEAKER_06:Yes, sir. You know, I'm since it's Sunday night football, I'm gonna go Travis Kelsey. And just go with that tradition. And my flex.
SPEAKER_02:I am I'm gonna go give me Blake Coral.
SPEAKER_07:Oh man, you might have saved him for me. Let's go stick. So hold on, wrap up that oh no, we'll wrap up at the end.
SPEAKER_01:Alright, I need uh quarterback. So whoever you want, they're gonna be there. Yeah, I'm gonna go with Quillie boy. Patrick Mahomes.
SPEAKER_07:Patty, okay. That is Quillie's boy. I think that's a good thing. No, that's not my boy. That's Naddie. Natty Patty.
SPEAKER_01:That's that ass quarterback.
SPEAKER_07:Fuck that, nigga. And and I'm gonna finish a draft, and I'm drafting like Rick double tight end. I'm putting Likely in my flex. Okay. So so to recap my team, I got Dart Lee and off. I got St. Brown. I got Devontae Adams. I have Jonathan Teller. I have Scatterboo. I have Tyler Warren and Likely.
SPEAKER_01:Alright, I got quarterback Patrick Mahomes. I got Kenneth Walker and Jameer Gibbs. That's gone.
SPEAKER_00:Kenneth Walker, Jameer Gibbs. That's it.
SPEAKER_01:I won this week. Um Puka, DJ Moore are my receivers. Kincaid is my tight end, and I got neighbors in the Flizz X. The team is nasty.
SPEAKER_06:Okay, okay, okay. I'll say my team. Josh. You didn't have to sell, you didn't have to force the guy. I got Josh Allen at quarterback. And I have James Cook.
SPEAKER_05:And James Cook and Kyron Williams are pretty great.
SPEAKER_01:And then you have Williams, Russell Rice. Sound like my team.
SPEAKER_06:Sound like your team. Sound like sound like somebody we know that's very familiar in the chat. Sound like a bronze bronze boy. Ah damn. Woo! Shot in the dark, but shot in the light at the same time.
SPEAKER_00:You talking like you got it.
SPEAKER_06:See moving, see moving on. You know, you know, Rocky Wright, Jameson Williams at wide receiver, you know, Travis Kelsey, Sunday night guy. So, you know, had his birthday tradition. He always does good there. And then you got Blake Corham in the flex. Blake Corb, Blake Corb's gonna pull through, man. He's gonna be on a good winning team this week, man. Blake Corb's gonna come through with his teammate Kyron, man. Double rans, man. Horns up, pause.
SPEAKER_07:Yes, definitely a pause. Horns up. That's crazy. But uh that concludes fantasy for the dogs. Please listen, like, and subscribe. And we will be back next week. Are we out of here?
