Episode notes

Sometimes letting go feels like failure, like you didn’t try hard enough, like you’re walking away from something you were supposed to hold on to. In this episode, we talk about the truth behind letting go — of people, of situations, of old versions of yourself. Not from anger, not from bitterness, but from a place of honesty, self-respect, and trust. This conversation is for anyone who’s holding on because it feels safer than releasing. For anyone stuck in the in-between, grieving what was, questioning what’s next, and learning that peace doesn’t come from control, but from surrender. If…

[SPEAKER_00]: To whoever this may impact, sometimes our lives have to be completely shaken up, changed, and rearranged to relocate as we were really meant to be. [SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes, change feels like loss, transformation is scary, and sometimes, to discover the best versions of ourselves, we must let go of absolutely everything that's holding us down. [SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to our mystery, your new safe space. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited to form a part of your healing journey.

[SPEAKER_00]: Today's episode is about something that sounds simple, that we all struggle with, letting go. [SPEAKER_00]: Letting go of people, of situations, a versions of ourselves, and not just physically, but emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. [SPEAKER_00]: Because the truth is, letting go is an easy. [SPEAKER_00]: It feels like loss, it feels like failure, and it feels like something we shouldn't have to do if we did things right. [SPEAKER_00]: But sometimes letting go is in the sad ending, you think it is.

[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes it is a beginning of peace. [SPEAKER_00]: The truth about letting go, I used to think that letting go meant giving up, that if I let go, I was quitting, that if I walked away from something, it meant I didn't try hard enough, but that's not true. [SPEAKER_00]: Letting go doesn't mean you didn't care. [SPEAKER_00]: It means you cared enough to know that you deserve peace. [SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes, the most loving thing can do for yourself, and for someone else, it's like, oh, to stop poison where it's inflowing, to stop chasing what keeps running, to stop holding on to something that keeps hurting, you don't heal by gripping tighter, you heal by releasing your grip, and trusting that what's meant to say, will.

[SPEAKER_00]: why we hold on. [SPEAKER_00]: We hold on because we're scared, scared of losing what feels familiar, scared of not knowing what's next, and scared that if we let go, we'll have nothing left. [SPEAKER_00]: But the truth is, holding on doesn't save anything. [SPEAKER_00]: It only drains you. [SPEAKER_00]: You can't force someone to meet you where you are. [SPEAKER_00]: You can't force situations to work that aren't meant to. [SPEAKER_00]: You can't keep pouring into something that keeps emptying you.

[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes, we're not even holding onto the thing. [SPEAKER_00]: We're holding onto the idea of what it could be. [SPEAKER_00]: The potential, the fantasy, the version we hope would show up. [SPEAKER_00]: But the longer you cling to what's no longer aligned, the longer you block what is. [SPEAKER_00]: Because the universe can't feel hands that are still holding onto what needs to go. [SPEAKER_00]: Letting go doesn't erase what was. [SPEAKER_00]: This is what helped me the most.

[SPEAKER_00]: Letting go doesn't mean forgetting. [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't mean pretending it never happened. [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't mean it didn't matter. [SPEAKER_00]: You can let go and still honor what it was. [SPEAKER_00]: You can release something and still be grateful for what it taught you. [SPEAKER_00]: You can walk away without bitterness, without needing to rewrite the story. [SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes, love doesn't end because it's gone.

[SPEAKER_00]: It ends because it's complete. [SPEAKER_00]: It's purpose has been fulfilled, and that doesn't make it a failure. [SPEAKER_00]: Every person you've loved, every season you've lived through, every version of yourself that existed, it all mattered. [SPEAKER_00]: It all shaped you, and it led you here, so you can love it, so you can let it go with love, because you're not losing something. [SPEAKER_00]: You're making space for something new.

[SPEAKER_00]: Greve disguises guilt. [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of us confused letting go with guilt. [SPEAKER_00]: We think we owe our younger selves permanence. [SPEAKER_00]: We think moving on means we didn't care enough. [SPEAKER_00]: But Greve is not guilt. [SPEAKER_00]: You can grieve something you've our grown and you can miss something and still know that it wasn't meant for you. [SPEAKER_00]: Grievous love would know where to go, and that's okay, feel it, don't rush it, but don't confuse it for a sign to stay.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can love something deeply and still release it gently. [SPEAKER_00]: Letting go is an act of trust. [SPEAKER_00]: Letting go isn't about loss. [SPEAKER_00]: It's about trusting. [SPEAKER_00]: Chesting that would spend for you will never pass you by. [SPEAKER_00]: Chesting that the space something leaves behind is an empty. [SPEAKER_00]: It's sacred and making room because the truth is every time you let go of something that's not meant for you you're telling the universe I am ready for what is you can't step into your new chapter if you're still rereading the last one you can't heal if you keep reopening the wound and I know that [SPEAKER_00]: in between feels scary, that space between who you were and who you're becoming, that quiet stretch, where everything feels uncertain, but that is where transformation happens, that's where clarity finds you, and that's where peace begins to take shape, letting go of people.

[SPEAKER_00]: This one hurts the most, because it's not always about bad people. [SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes it's about good people who aren't meant to stay, and that's hard to accept. [SPEAKER_00]: We think if someone wants me to be happy, they're supposed to make us happy forever. [SPEAKER_00]: But not everyone is meant to walk with you forever. [SPEAKER_00]: Some people are chapters, not entire books, and that's okay. [SPEAKER_00]: You can love them for who they were in that chapter, and you can think them for showing you what they did.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can forgive them. [SPEAKER_00]: for not becoming who you hope they'd be, and you can move on without resentment, because holding on to someone who's not walking in your direction doesn't keep you connected. [SPEAKER_00]: It just keeps you stuck, and you deserve movement, you deserve flow, and you deserve alignment. [SPEAKER_00]: Letting go of the old view, sometimes the hardest person to go off is yourself. [SPEAKER_00]: The version of you that tolerated too much.

[SPEAKER_00]: The one who kept saying it's fine when it wasn't. [SPEAKER_00]: The one who made herself small to be loved. [SPEAKER_00]: The one who tried so hard to be enough. [SPEAKER_00]: But that version of you isn't bad. [SPEAKER_00]: She was doing her best with what she knew. [SPEAKER_00]: She was surviving. [SPEAKER_00]: She was protecting you. [SPEAKER_00]: And now you get to love her. [SPEAKER_00]: by letting her rest. [SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to keep caring her pain.

[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to keep replaying her patterns. [SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to keep living like her story is still happening. [SPEAKER_00]: You can thank her for getting you here and then let her go. [SPEAKER_00]: Because the next version of you deserves to live without her fear. [SPEAKER_00]: The beauty of release. [SPEAKER_00]: There's something so powerful about releasing. [SPEAKER_00]: When you finally stop porousing, you stop chasing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Stop trying to control. [SPEAKER_00]: When you finally say, I'm done holding on to what hurts because release is a weakness. [SPEAKER_00]: It's wisdom. [SPEAKER_00]: It's saying, I trust that what's mine will stay and what's not will leave. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's in that moment that surrender that life finally has space to surprise you. [SPEAKER_00]: To start feeling lighter, energy starts coming back. [SPEAKER_00]: Your hearts start sealing in ways that never could.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it was still caring everything. [SPEAKER_00]: And you realize letting go didn't break you. [SPEAKER_00]: It freed you. [SPEAKER_00]: You are allowed to let go. [SPEAKER_00]: You are allowed to let go of things you thought would last forever. [SPEAKER_00]: You're allowed to a grow dream that once made sense, you're allowed to admit something isn't working anymore. [SPEAKER_00]: Even if you once wanted it badly, you are allowed to change your mind.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're allowed to evolve. [SPEAKER_00]: And you are allowed to walk away, even if no one understands. [SPEAKER_00]: Because the life that you're meant to live can't exist inside the things that you have already outgrown. [SPEAKER_00]: So stop waiting for a permission, stop waiting for closure. [SPEAKER_00]: Stop waiting for someone else to make the decision for you. [SPEAKER_00]: You can let go now, and that can be your closure. [SPEAKER_00]: Letting go is in the end.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's only their return. [SPEAKER_00]: It's coming back to yourself. [SPEAKER_00]: And in that moment, the noise will finally quiet down. [SPEAKER_00]: The chaos in your head will start to soften, and you will realize that peace was never about controlling. [SPEAKER_00]: It was about trusting what left, letting go is in about losing something. [SPEAKER_00]: It is about remembering that you were never meant to hold on to everything. [SPEAKER_00]: You were meant to experience, to learn, to love and to grow.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then to release, with love, mafia. [SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy today's episode, make sure to share with anyone that might need to listen. STAYING THE SAME IS HARDER THAN GROWING

In today’s episode, we dive into a truth most of us ignore: staying the same is actually harder than changing. We talk about why holding onto old versions of ourselves feels “safe,” even when they’re quietly breaking us, and why the pain of stagnancy is heavier than the fear of starting over. This episode is your reminder that discomfort doesn’t mean something is wrong; it often means you’re finally growing. If you’ve been feeling stuck, restless, or afraid to take the next step… this conversation will feel like a deep breath. You are allowed to change. You are allowed to evolve. And you are…

The endings we fear, the in-betweens that scare us, the unknown that makes us feel like everything is falling apart. But the truth is… starting over isn’t proof that you failed, it’s proof that you grew. It’s evidence that you were brave enough to choose yourself, even when it was uncomfortable. Beginning again requires so much courage, and you’re never actually starting from zero, you’re starting from everything you’ve survived. You’re not behind. You’re becoming.
