Speaker 1:Welcome back to Class Reunion.
Speaker 2:It's a safe space for Bravo fans of all kinds, even former child stars.
Speaker 1:I guess that's us.
Speaker 2:So much happens in the Bravoverse every single day, and who better to keep you up to date than TV's Marla Sokoloff.
Speaker 3:And Lee Norris.
Speaker 1:We're so excited to.
Speaker 2:Dive into the first episode of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. But first, it was just an idea in Andy Cohen's brain, but now it's an empire.
Speaker 1:Right?
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Let's check in on all that is Bravo Reality TV this week. Real Housewives of.
Speaker 2:Atlanta, Phaedra Parks is dating Traitor's castmate, CT. Phaedra Parks and CT are dating. The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member met the TV personality while competing against each other on The Traitors Season 2.
Speaker 1:Do you watch Traitors?
Speaker 3:Yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's a good one.
Speaker 2:The couple attended the Creative Arts Emmy Awards 2026 on September 5th together, making their red carpet debut.
Speaker 3:I love some Phaedra. She's so funny.
Speaker 2:I feel like I just noticed CT from like the real world road worlds challenge. Right.
Speaker 1:Like, wasn't he on that?
Speaker 3:He was. I don't know that I ever saw them together in my head, but I mean, if Phaedra is happy. Yeah. That's great.
Speaker 1:Yeah, sure.
Speaker 3:And he's not incarcerated like her first husband.
Speaker 1:Yeah, no, that, that was problematic. Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 2:I don't know if CT had some dark moments too, though. I feel like he's not exactly, you.
Speaker 3:Know, I know. Well, I'm happy for him. Love is great.
Speaker 1:And blind.
Speaker 3:And blind, yeah.
Speaker 2:Okay, Kim Zolciak and Croy Beerman's son, KJ, is 15, granted $ 200, 000 bond after being indicted on seven felony counts, including sexual assault. The news of Croy Jr. being granted bond comes after the 15-year-old appeared in Georgia's Fulton County Superior Court for a bond hearing on Friday, September 11th. regarding the seven felony charges he's facing from an incident that allegedly occurred on April 23rd. Fulton County Deputy District Attorney Caitlin McGillicuddy revealed during Friday's bond hearing that investigators discovered multiple videos on KJ's cell phone showcasing the teen allegedly engaging in... Gosh, it's like almost hard to say.
Speaker 3:It's too much. Engaging....
Speaker 2:In predatory and derogatory language with a family member under the age of 12, according to page six. I don't even know what to say about this.
Speaker 3:What can you even say?
Speaker 1:It's tough. It's so awful.
Speaker 2:I mean, as a mom, I can only imagine what Kim is going through. I will say he had a lie detector test that he passed. They are trying him as an adult, which I think is a little bit of a red flag. I don't know what they have on him that we don't all know, but hopefully....
Speaker 1:He will get the.
Speaker 2:Help he needs, and that this poor underage girl will have some sort of closure here.
Speaker 3:I can't imagine. Yeah. Yeah, what a mess.
Speaker 1:Okay, well, let's flip the script here.
Speaker 3:Let's flip it. Because people are real.
Speaker 1:Can I say pissed? They are mad about Vicky Gumbelson being back.
Speaker 3:On the OC. I have to tell you, I'm like a little behind on OC. So you're going to have to fill me in a little bit. But Vicky is Vicky, right? Is she not whooping it up? Like what's happening?
Speaker 1:I feel like she's lost her like whoop it up nature.
Speaker 3:Okay.
Speaker 2:And I feel like Vicky has taken this role on to such an extreme. Like she's just.
Speaker 1:Like, no, no, no, I don't like that. And nope, nope, that's not how we do that. Nope, nope, nope. I need to know all about that.
Speaker 3:You know, she's just, She's not engaging with them.
Speaker 1:She's just very know-it-all-y.
Speaker 2:And, like, you know, she kicked them all out of her home in the last episode.
Speaker 1:And the boyfriend showed up. And it just all felt very unhinged.
Speaker 3:So it's not fun, Vicky. It's not, like.
Speaker 2:No.
Speaker 3:And everybody is, like, WTF.
Speaker 1:And it's not even, like, evil in a fun way.
Speaker 2:No. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1:Okay. And I feel like.
Speaker 2:Um, she was given this like second chance, you know, everybody was so excited when Andy gave her that orange, you know? And I actually found out from a friend who was at Bravo con that she slept with the orange.
Speaker 1:She was so excited that she slept with the.
Speaker 2:Orange and then wound up like having a crick in her neck or a Creek or whatever the hell you call it in her neck. And it had to like have like a therapist come and help her.
Speaker 1:With her neck.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:This was still at Bravo con, like nothing had even happened yet. And, um, I just don't think she's living up to the occasion. I mean, some of these tweets are crazy. Like, Vicky is a psycho bitch. Please, Andy, end this nightmare with season 20 and never ask her back.
Speaker 3:Wow.
Speaker 1:Fire her again. I regret the day Andy gave you back your orange.
Speaker 2:Whoa.
Speaker 3:Have the day you deserve. So people are, like, united on this. Yeah, I got to catch up because I.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I'm curious to hear your opinion on it.
Speaker 3:I was excited for her to come back, and so I had high hopes, but it sounds like it's not.
Speaker 2:You know, I think once you get demoted, you kind of. maybe inside just felt like she wasn't holding her position in the same way, and so it was hard to take back her power. But yeah, it's been a bummer, and also I hate saying this, but just season 20 in general for me has been really boring.
Speaker 3:Oh no, see, you're not making me wanna watch. Oh no, I was hoping.
Speaker 1:They'd get the spark back. I almost think you maybe don't need to. I'm telling you what happens.
Speaker 2:Nothing, and Vicky's kind of unhinged is really all that's happening.
Speaker 1:I love Heather Dubrow.
Speaker 3:Yeah, we love Heather.
Speaker 1:Love her.
Speaker 2:I think she has great points. I love her being on the show. But, you know, I have notes for the others.
Speaker 3:Okay.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:All right.
Speaker 2:Okay, so fun fact that we need to share with the audience. Yes.
Speaker 1:That happened moments ago.
Speaker 2:It's a very fresh interaction that happened to both of us.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:You're in town because we had a photo shoot.
Speaker 3:Yeah, we got together last night. We had some drinks. We catch up. And it's been, we won't say how long, but it's been a couple of years. And, I mean, we were talking about how fun this was going to be. But I don't think either of us thought that today was going to kick off with this shock.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we didn't know that on Monday we were going to come to iHeart to have a photo shoot, record a couple episodes, but then make– a new best friend in Brittany Bateman who just happens to be at I heart.
Speaker 3:I don't even know what she was recording an interview. She was recording an interview.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 3:I have mixed feelings. I, when they told me she was here, I was like, I don't know. I don't know if I want to see, because I like them in there and on my screen. Right. Kind of. I don't want to see how the sausage is made. Like I just want to take it all in, you know, talk about it with you and talk about it on my couch and then not have the bump of, you know, cause then I'm, listen, I have to say I'm not like the, Biggest maybe Britney fan?
Speaker 1:Yeah, she hasn't come off very well in your eyes.
Speaker 3:I mean, I think she's very lovely in person, and we met her, and she was so nice. She was lovely.
Speaker 1:We got some selfies.
Speaker 2:Yes.
Speaker 3:On the show, I don't know that she's on my top player.
Speaker 2:What is the thing that has been the worst for you? Is it the Jared of it all? I just can't with.
Speaker 3:The Jared anymore. It's like so much, you know?
Speaker 1:It's too much Jared.
Speaker 3:I can't. He went to Jared too many times.
Speaker 1:You know what she kind of bumped me was the stuff with her daughter, you know?
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:How her daughter was just really hard. Yeah.
Speaker 2:How she essentially chose a man over her child. But I I still haven't I haven't hated her as much as.
Speaker 1:No. A lot of people.
Speaker 3:No, no. And there's no hate at all. But it's you can hate people.
Speaker 1:It's OK.
Speaker 3:Well, Whitney can't hate Meredith. We know that now after, you know. what's coming out. But anyway, that was what a way to kick off. We've already like brushed with greatness in the hallways here.
Speaker 2:I think people have been listening to this for five minutes and know that you're the nicer one on the show already.
Speaker 1:I think that we have picked up on that.
Speaker 3:I might surprise you. You never know. You never know. You can get spicy. It's the Southern kid in me.
Speaker 1:Okay, fine.
Speaker 3:All right, let's dive in. I mean, I think we have to say like, first of all, this is not your typical Housewives episode with wacky zany people. fighting, I mean, obviously a very real life tragedy has happened with Mary Cosby's son, you know, Robert Jr., very devastatingly passing away. So it's a little bit hard to, I think, just jump into this episode and obviously not acknowledge like what an incredible, devastating loss. And what's incredible actually is Mary and how she's responded to it and been so brave.
Speaker 3:And I really thought, you know, watching some of the past seasons where they actually had those conversations on camera about his, his, you know, drug use and whatnot. I thought that was so brave.
Speaker 2:Yeah. I think the whole thing has been so devastating all the way back to when he first appeared on the show and just his demeanor and, you know, the things that he's gone through and what she's gone through with it has always been extremely tragic. And I remember when he passed away, but I think enough time had passed, since it happened and then I watched episode one, that I was like, I almost took my breath away how sad it was, you know? Because as parents, it's the unimaginable, you know? It's not anything you ever want to experience, but to your point, Mary did handle it very well.
Speaker 2:I feel like she obviously has a very strong presence of a higher power in her life to help carry her through in her church, which was really, truly amazing. But I just, I also did like how it brought the women together, like as a communal, you know, as moms and, girlfriends, they were able to put their differences aside and step up because I think when something like that happens, like all bets are off.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I don't care what you've done to me, what I've said about you or whatever, like none of it matters.
Speaker 3:Well, and it made them more human, right? I mean, I'm well, we, I need to know like sort of who your players are. Are you team Lisa and Meredith? Are you team?
Speaker 1:I love Meredith. Do you? Yeah.
Speaker 3:I like Meredith too. I mean, sometimes she drives me crazy but.
Speaker 1:You guys I bought her caviar one time.
Speaker 3:I did kind of have a caviar.
Speaker 1:Caviar you could just go on her website and order it.
Speaker 3:It's amazing taste it and do a I don't eat caviar but I you know I.
Speaker 1:Know We're going to have to get you more Meredith Marks merch.
Speaker 3:I know, I know.
Speaker 1:What about Brooks? Do you ever buy any of his sweats or anything?
Speaker 3:I don't have any Brooks sweats. I'm sorry, Brooks.
Speaker 1:Well, I learned something about you yesterday.
Speaker 3:You sure did.
Speaker 1:Are you going to tell people this? That you go on an airplane in jeans.
Speaker 3:You wear denim. I didn't know this was a terrible thing.
Speaker 1:It's so uncomfortable, especially with like.
Speaker 2:Sitting in an airport and then you had a layover and you're just sitting there in your stiff denim.
Speaker 1:Like that's so, we need to get you some more leisure wear.
Speaker 3:I mean, I don't know that I can just rock out in sweatpants on a plane yet. I feel like, you know, what if, what if, you never know. In the old days, people like dressed up when they flew, right? Right. In the old days, like I lived in the 50s.
Speaker 1:Yeah, exactly. Like you're going in a suit, you know, on Pan Am Airlines or whatever you're doing.
Speaker 3:I'm kind of a grandpa at heart, but you know. I feel like you gotta dress for the occasion. But you're right.
Speaker 1:I actually used to be a denim on the flight person.
Speaker 2:And then I had a really long, I think my flight was six hours delayed and I was sitting in Chicago and I was just like, jeans i'm so uncomfortable that's when it bites you yeah and i never never looked back.
Speaker 3:Well i i think you're right it humanized all of them i will say that watching the scenes with mary and robert when she was talking to him about it all of that i felt like i actually walked away from those shows as like having thought about conversations i might have as a parent god willing that you know hopefully nothing like that would ever happen but it made me think differently and as I don't know that I've ever walked away from a Bravo show feeling like I'm a better maybe person or parent for having seen this.
Speaker 3:And after watching those, I did. So, I mean, even though this is obviously a truly heartbreaking, um, ending, you know, for, for, for that, um, you know, they did a lot of good.
Speaker 2:And I also appreciate that Mary didn't allow cameras, you know, in his service.
Speaker 3:Oh, yeah. No, no, no.
Speaker 1:Because I think, like, sometimes on these shows, like, they.
Speaker 3:No, we don't need to see.
Speaker 1:Yeah, no, I think it's great that we didn't get in there, you know?
Speaker 3:No, this is, that's real life. Yeah, yeah. Tell me about.
Speaker 2:Should we talk about Baby Gorgeous and that whole.
Speaker 3:I have to get your take on, so Lisa... I am not her biggest fan. And what do you think about this whole John apology? Was this real? Do you think he really like has been, you know, internalizing this and thinking about it and realized.
Speaker 2:He just saw himself on the show last year and was like, I am not coming off very well.
Speaker 1:I better.
Speaker 3:Or do you think Lisa like orchestrated this apology and was like, John, you have to do this. You made me look terrible. Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1:I never even thought about that.
Speaker 3:I mean, that is where I honestly, when he was in the confessional talking about it and he was like, I mean, we all know Lisa is a great communicator. I'm like blink three times. You need like, it was like a hostage situation. You know what I mean? I'm like, does he believe this? Or is she like off camera, like staring him down? I mean, I'm sorry, Lisa. I'm sure she's very nice in real life again. But, you know.
Speaker 1:Are you sure she's nice in real life?
Speaker 3:I don't know. I don't know. I'm scared to meet her. I think she's going to Charleston Fan Fest.
Speaker 1:Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 3:I'm afraid.
Speaker 1:Okay, we're going to meet her, and we're going to hang out with her.
Speaker 3:All right. So you thought it was maybe he reflected and ended up there?
Speaker 2:I'm a romantic, and I'm like, oh, maybe he saw himself and thought, oh, I really came off terrible, and I do love my wife.
Speaker 1:I mean, because I'm sure he does.
Speaker 3:Of course. Of course.
Speaker 1:You know?
Speaker 3:Yes.
Speaker 2:But yeah, I think a lot of the marriages on all of the housewives in general, they're questionable, you know?
Speaker 3:That's kind.
Speaker 1:At best.
Speaker 3:Yeah, that's kind, yeah.
Speaker 1:But yeah, that's such an interesting take.
Speaker 3:I never even thought about that. The way that they edit it, too, it's like she's getting this really nice edit out of it. She is getting a nice edit. And I'm like, I don't know that I need a nice.
Speaker 1:Lisa edit right now. Well, she'll come back around.
Speaker 2:I mean, she'll have a hot mic. She'll have a something that we will be able to.
Speaker 1:Enjoy.
Speaker 3:Give her time. Um, what did you think about the pickleball with Brian? First of all, I love Bronwyn and Whitney together. I think it's fun. I mean, they're, they're younger and I think it's re I love Bronwyn so much just in general. Yeah. I, I was saying this, you know, when we talked last time, I think she brings such energy and new life to the show.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:And I mean, when she went toe to toe with Meredith last season, um, You know, remember when Meredith like texted her to like come down when they were on the trip and and Meredith was, you know, had one version of what happened in Bronwyn had another.
Speaker 2:Yes.
Speaker 3:And then Bronwyn really took her to task.
Speaker 1:Yeah, exactly. She was calling her out, which is what all of these housewives need.
Speaker 3:I mean, I think that takes guts and for it to especially be like a new housewife. She should be the model of like when a new cast member comes on. Like, this is how you play. This is how you play in the big leagues.
Speaker 1:Well, and I think the.
Speaker 2:Important thing to note is that she seems authentic. And a lot of the times when the housewives come on, especially the new ones who know the way that the game is played, is they try to play it a certain way or they're trying to edit it for themselves as they go. And it's like, that never works.
Speaker 3:It doesn't work. It doesn't work. So I love her. And what I liked about this pairing in particular was she kind of came in through Lisa, which is weird because they didn't really... get along very well last season. Um, but that was sort of her introductory, but with Whitney, like they're starting to integrate her more with the other casts. And I like, I like that because I want to see more of her. Yeah.
Speaker 1:No, I think she's come off really well.
Speaker 2:I enjoy her. Um, I hated all of the stuff with her and Todd last year. I just was like, he's got to go.
Speaker 3:So painful.
Speaker 1:It was painful.
Speaker 3:It was a bully.
Speaker 2:Yeah. Yeah. And it was hard to see her kind of, you know, turn into a different person around him. Like she wasn't that strong person that you're talking about. She was very much like a weaker version of herself.
Speaker 3:That's right.
Speaker 1:And I think that that is really telling in a relationship.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:I mean, I think we all knew that was not a good match. I know. From the beginning. Yeah. I do think the pickleball attire was... I don't know.
Speaker 2:I mean, her fashion, listen, I know it's like high fashion and Christian Sierra.
Speaker 3:Oh, no, Bronwyn was great.
Speaker 1:You like Bronwyn.
Speaker 3:Whitney had this like hot pink blood clot athleisure ensemble that was like, I don't play pickleball.
Speaker 1:Right, I don't play. You know what?
Speaker 2:I feel like we need to start playing pickleball. It's turning into like a Mahjong type thing where everybody's playing it.
Speaker 3:Is it?
Speaker 1:I don't play either. Oh, wait, before we move on.
Speaker 2:Yeah. What do you think about Whitney not drinking anymore? It's kind of like a very trendy housewife move to make when they're going through a divorce.
Speaker 3:Right.
Speaker 2:You know, Kyle also found sobriety through her divorce, which I understand. It's like you want clarity. You want a clear head. You don't want to be like, you know, messy about stuff. So I think it's great. Do you think she's going to stick to this?
Speaker 3:Well, I like that she called it a clutch instead of a crutch.
Speaker 1:Stop it.
Speaker 3:Did you see that?
Speaker 1:Wait, I don't even think I caught it.
Speaker 3:Yes, she said it's a clutch. It's a clutch.
Speaker 2:Marlo.
Speaker 3:That's her Marlo vibes right there.
Speaker 1:That's right.
Speaker 3:She just doesn't have the ability to speak the human language.
Speaker 2:Wait, do you know I have a hat that one of my friends made for me because she has an embroidery machine and it says healing journey on it.
Speaker 1:That's right. She's always on a healing journey.
Speaker 3:She's always healing.
Speaker 1:Yeah, a lot of healing.
Speaker 3:Climbing that hill.
Speaker 1:A lot of healing. So I love my healing journey hat. Shout out to Nicole.
Speaker 3:I love that. What did you think about Trip and the Heather situation.
Speaker 2:Heather is rubbing me the wrong way.
Speaker 3:Is she? Yeah, she's rubbing me the wrong way.
Speaker 2:It's just a little too, like, you know, I think I'm triggered by people who are like, I'm so glad my kids are gone. And like, they're out of the house and it's my time to be whatever.
Speaker 1:And like, I'm wild and the Mormon church is, you know, like, I don't know. I'm just like, slow your roll.
Speaker 3:Yeah. You've still got your three babies at home and you're like, exactly.
Speaker 1:I'm like, they are.
Speaker 2:They can live with me forever. I mean, I tell them all the time, like, please.
Speaker 3:I get that.
Speaker 1:You don't need a career, a man. You got me.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Don't go anywhere. I know.
Speaker 3:I thought it was trips at it especially was incredible because. They don't show his face at first. You just see this like motorbike coming down the street. And then you see the like sleeve of tattoos on his arm. And then he walks in the front door and he's like, hi there. Like he's this like Mr. Rogers type. It totally didn't match the vibe that I was getting from the intro. So I thought that was genius.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:The way that they did it.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:I mean, I do think I'm a little worried for her because it sounds like it didn't go great the first time they were together.
Speaker 1:I'm like, why are we letting this guy back in?
Speaker 2:I know.
Speaker 3:Like, no. He failed the Swifty test. He failed the cat test. He failed the Swifty test. This is not good.
Speaker 1:Yeah, no, I think Trip is, he's gonna be a short-lived little flank.
Speaker 3:Do you think so? I think. She does seem happy. I mean, she seems like he checks a lot of her boxes, but I don't know.
Speaker 2:I don't know.
Speaker 1:We'll see.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:We'll see about that.
Speaker 3:She did kind of say, like, um, Until he breaks my heart. Like she does kind of allude to.
Speaker 1:Because he's already broken her heart.
Speaker 2:So it's kind of like one of those things that you're just like always on eggshells waiting, you know, for it to happen.
Speaker 3:Right.
Speaker 1:What do you think about Bronwyn's new boyfriend, Brandon?
Speaker 3:This was kind of a shock to me. I guess I wasn't like in the Bravo headlines when this was all coming out, because obviously there were all these articles about.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:I mean, good for her. She's doing, you know what she wants to do. I, it is a little tough that she's still married and I'm sure with a kid, that's probably difficult.
Speaker 2:Yeah. It sounds like her daughter is not a super fan of her boyfriend, but I mean, think about it. I don't know. This might be a creepy old lady for me to think, but like, you know, her ex-husband Todd was much older and now she has like a completely different age bracket of boyfriend slash body slash, you know, uh, stamina and.
Speaker 1:She's just having you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2:That she's having a grand old time she's having a blast.
Speaker 3:And she deserves it yes agreed.
Speaker 2:What do you think about Bronwyn's mom, Muzzy, and how she's softened this season?
Speaker 3:She is tough. She's super tough. Monkey see, monkey do. Correct.
Speaker 2:But don't you think that she's similar to the John for me, where she saw her edit last year and was like, whoa.
Speaker 3:Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 1:I better take a turn here.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I mean, it was like, when she went to sit next to her, when she went to sit next to Bronwyn.
Speaker 2:And Bronwyn was like, why are you sitting next to me?
Speaker 3:I know. And she was barely on that chair. She had like a cheek hanging off. I mean, it was not, I was like, oh lady, come on. Let's, you know, she needs your love. You're, you know, and I get it. I think she's very, you know, with the Mormonism and the upbringing, it's very, maybe more reserved.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:But you know, She needs to be a mom, too.
Speaker 2:Yeah. No, I think their relationship, it's heartbreaking a little bit, but I do think that they have maybe come a little bit closer to a normal mother-daughter relationship this season than they were last season.
Speaker 3:It's moving in the right direction.
Speaker 1:It's moving in the right direction. Yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3:And it was nice to see them joke about it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, because that was hard to watch, you know, when her mom was just so gnarly with her. Yeah.
Speaker 3:Well, and how about Bronwyn buying her daughter a house? I mean, what a dream.
Speaker 1:Yeah, what's up with my parents?
Speaker 3:I'll take a house.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Great. I need a house. What do we think about Meredith's new face?
Speaker 3:Wow.
Speaker 2:Who's going to find out the surgeon? We need to know immediately.
Speaker 3:Listen, I thought she looked great before. I have to say.
Speaker 1:100%. She's a beautiful woman.
Speaker 3:She looked great before. This does look really good.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it's like 100% did not need a glow up, but now I'm like, whoa, that's a good facelift.
Speaker 3:Now, I don't know about the hair.
Speaker 1:I was confused by that.
Speaker 3:What's going on there.
Speaker 1:Yeah, why did.
Speaker 3:She choose a wig? And you, as a man, you're going to have to help me. Is it a wig? Yeah, it's a wig. Okay. It's funny.
Speaker 1:I knew it was a wig before Whitney said it was a wig.
Speaker 3:Okay.
Speaker 1:I don't know why. You know what?
Speaker 2:Do you think she has scars still that she was trying to hide and her real hair wasn't?
Speaker 3:That's a good point.
Speaker 1:That's kind of what I was thinking.
Speaker 3:I don't know. I will say that the whole, I love the way that, again, thought she looked great before, thought she looked great now. Love that she's owning it and not hiding it. It does sort of look like she's playing a heightened character. I mean, I can see her on Days of Our Lives being like Trixie. It would be so great to have her on Days of Our Lives. She feels like she's playing this character a little bit. And so I wonder if she's sort of.
Speaker 1:Your husband.
Speaker 3:Yes, yes. I mean, it's almost like this is her armor now. You know what I mean? But she looks great.
Speaker 1:I think that the facelift is fantastic. I want to know the doctor.
Speaker 2:So in. Five years when it's time for Marla Sokoloff to be wheeled in.
Speaker 1:I will be going to her doctor.
Speaker 3:You don't need it. I mean, but if any listeners are out, you know, have the tea, let us know.
Speaker 1:Send me a DM. But yeah, no, I think she looks great. We didn't see her husband yet. What's his name?
Speaker 3:Seth. No, we haven't seen Seth.
Speaker 1:Where's Seth been?
Speaker 3:I don't know. It's a good question. I mean, I thought her and Lisa talking about, you know, John's apology again. It's like Lisa has to remind us again that John was wrong and she's right. You know what I mean?
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:And then I thought that I was... I do feel for Lisa and Meredith a little bit in this because Whitney, you know, they... She called them out in a way that I think was... You know, she said she hated Meredith and she called... you know, Lisa, a word that we can't say. So next Tuesday. Yeah. So, you know, I do feel for them, but even when I started to feel for them, then Lisa calls Whitney a dingbat. And it's like, for me, it just kind of took it.
Speaker 1:Well, listen, I think there's a lot of.
Speaker 2:Being in a person, being a person who takes any accountability for doing something that you're not proud of and you feel bad about and you have to honor that. I'm not saying you have to forgive and forget, but I think it was at Meredith who was like, I don't forgive you, Whitney.
Speaker 1:She was just like, you're done to me.
Speaker 2:And I just think we've all had little issues with friends or family members or whoever, and it's like, I don't love that you did that, but you're not dead to me.
Speaker 1:So I think there is a lot of power in forgiveness.
Speaker 3:Of course, but I don't think that's in Lisa's vocabulary.
Speaker 1:It is certainly not.
Speaker 3:She cannot take accountability.
Speaker 2:No. Yeah.
Speaker 1:So that's a little bit of a.
Speaker 2:I mean, I do feel bad for Whitney, but that was when you saw that clip, which they played multiple times in the episode.
Speaker 3:I was like, oh, no, they're going to show it again. I thought it was going to be in slow-mo. Like, let's dissect it, you know.
Speaker 1:Literally, it definitely got worse every time.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:I was like, oh.
Speaker 3:It's not great. And I think that's part of the drinking thing, too, is she's like.
Speaker 1:She wouldn't have said it if she did. She even says, like, I had liquid courage.
Speaker 3:Right, right, yeah. And, again, I get it, and I do think she's trying to, like, sort of own that from what we can see in the previews and stuff, but I don't know.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:We'll see.
Speaker 2:Agreed.
Speaker 3:Okay, we have to talk about the finale and all of the women coming over to Mary's house. I mean, first of all, I'm a dog person. I'm a dog guy.
Speaker 1:Such a huge dog person.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:Finding the dog in Robert Jr. 's room, that's where I felt like my eyes start to well up. You know what I mean?
Speaker 1:Yeah, because the dog doesn't know. He doesn't get in. I think she said something like, we had his clothes out.
Speaker 3:Yeah, yeah. I can't even, I know, I can't even talk about it. It's too much. She was so courageous, and I love that she took time to go through each woman and say how they'd been supportive, minus Brittany, who wasn't there, who, by the way, wasn't in this episode, which, by the way, I can't say I... I'm so sad about.
Speaker 1:Should I go outside and find her? Don't tell her. You can let her know that you were thrilled to not see her in the episode.
Speaker 3:I think Brittany in doses is... great.
Speaker 1:You like her as a friend of.
Speaker 2:I do.
Speaker 3:I like her as a friend of. And Mary, I don't think, was a fan.
Speaker 2:She likes being a friend of, a series regular of. She's like, I'll do anything.
Speaker 3:As long as Jared's there. So, okay. But Mary, I thought going through and talking about how each one had showed up for her gave us this level set that I think that we need, particularly at the beginning of the season. Because we know that they're going to spiral out again at some point. But it reminded us of their humanity, like you were saying, you know, and, and now the question is for how long, like.
Speaker 2:Yeah. You know, but you know, Mary is another one who's come a long way. I mean, think about like when she's like, you smell like hospital.
Speaker 1:Remember that era? You know, she just really has evolved.
Speaker 3:Although I kind of love that. I kind of love that she's unfiltered. She makes me laugh.
Speaker 1:You smell like hospital. So good.
Speaker 2:Um, but yeah, I think she, and she also like, you know, used to be a cast member that I feel like was, didn't engage with anybody. She was kind of in her own world doing her own thing. She'd sit on the sprinter van while everyone else was doing stuff. And now at least she's, a little bit more immersed in the world and having conversations with them about important.
Speaker 1:I mean, her life has changed drastically.
Speaker 3:Right. Well, and, and she sees the real big picture of it all for whatever reason that they're together, they need to, to, you know, make it work. So, yeah, I, I mean this way, I didn't know how they were going to balance all of this truly. And it was great. I mean, it was emotional and we're getting peaks of the things to come and I'm so excited for next week.
Speaker 1:Yeah, me too. I, I'm, I'm, beyond excited for next week.
Speaker 2:I know.
Speaker 1:Cannot wait.
Speaker 3:All right, friend.
Speaker 1:Okay, so should we give this episode, like, a grade?
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Do you want to, like, grade it?
Speaker 2:Like, since this is class reunion, what grade would you give this first episode of Salt Lake City?
Speaker 3:I mean, I have to give them an A for this because of the sheer extraordinary circumstances.
Speaker 2:Sure.
Speaker 3:I don't think that this is a normal, typical episode. No, I'm not giving it an A in terms of was I entertained from start to finish, but as a human being, did this make me feel and think about things? Yes. So for that, I'm giving an A, but that's a generous....
Speaker 2:I think I'm with you on that. I think it's only fair to keep it an A. I'm going to do an A-, just because I'm a little bit grouchier than you are.
Speaker 1:So I'm going to do the A-, but no, I think you're right.
Speaker 2:I think they handled a really uncomfortable situation, a really hard situation, a real life, which is what the show is based on, are these characters of people and their real life. Um, but real life that we don't want anyone to ever have to go through and it was hard to watch.
Speaker 1:No, no, no. So yeah, I agree.
Speaker 3:But the drama's coming. I feel it.
Speaker 1:I can't wait. The, the, this season on Salt Lake City.
Speaker 3:Oh my God. I'm so excited. All right. We'll see you next week for episode two.
Speaker 1:See you next week.
