Speaker 1:Hello gorgeous, it's Lala Kent. Welcome to Untraditionally Lala. Hello gorgeous, I am so excited because when people ask me for something, I deliver.

Speaker 2:And today I have delivered a Jenna Willis.

Speaker 3:The hot goods. Hello Jenna Willis.

Speaker 2:Hello Lala Kent.

Speaker 3:Before we start, I have a confession to make.

Speaker 2:Oh shit. Already?

Speaker 3:Like, what's happening?

Speaker 2:And you're going to.

Speaker 1:Want to strangle me and punch me in the face.

Speaker 3:Should we turn this off for a second? This past week.

Speaker 2:Oh, no.

Speaker 3:I consumed wiener schnitzel.

Speaker 2:Not once. Not twice.

Speaker 3:But three times. And I got two shots. Chili cheese dogs. Oh my lordy.

Speaker 1:Never an all beef. Frank, I want the original with a side of chili cheese fries.

Speaker 2:Oh, that just sounds like not only heartburn, but like straight up like shit.

Speaker 3:I was fine. Did you sleep alone? That's like the first place that.

Speaker 2:My brain goes was like, how many times did you poop yourself?

Speaker 3:I have the gut of a billy goat. You know this.

Speaker 2:I do know this actually.

Speaker 1:It like, I'm getting a colonoscopy this year because I'm just not regular.

Speaker 2:Ever. I know you're not.

Speaker 1:Like, it takes a cup of coffee, maybe two, and a hit of the vape for me to be like, all right, we're moving.

Speaker 3:We're in business.

Speaker 1:We're good. Otherwise, and if I don't make it in, like, the window of morning time, it's not happening at all.

Speaker 2:It's because I'm so good. Just tap it in. Yeah, you've always been like that. Like, literally... There'll be times where you're like, hold up, I just got to drop a deuce real quick, but you're gone for like 15 minutes. And I'm like, oh, she's on the struggle bus right now. Yeah. Hold up.

Speaker 1:Because when it's that time, I'm in and out in under three minutes. Like there's no, like if I'm in there for a minute, it's like we have to make the window.

Speaker 3:If it doesn't come now, it ain't coming at all.

Speaker 2:Let's just make this whole episode about your poopy problems.

Speaker 3:I don't think anyone wants that.

Speaker 2:But I needed to get... That off of my chest. It was delicious.

Speaker 1:I almost went for round four last night, but I was like, I'm just, I can't.

Speaker 2:Literally when I walked in the house, the first thing you said was, I'm so excited for this workout right now.

Speaker 3:I was like, it's time.

Speaker 2:I mean, look, so you can't take it back.

Speaker 3:I don't want to take it back.

Speaker 1:Right.

Speaker 2:And you don't want to take it back.

Speaker 1:And I can't promise it's not going to happen again next week. It will happen again because I love it.

Speaker 2:That's why we stay on track with the workouts and do the best we can when you're not eating schnitzel.

Speaker 1:Well, by the way, we are going to have to get on like a very strict and not even for like a long period of time because here's the thing with my body makeup.

Speaker 2:Yeah.

Speaker 1:My just genetic makeup. This is how I came. I... When I'm hungry, we'll eat whatever I want when it sounds good because I know that I am one panic attack, heartbreak, stressful moment away from losing everything.

Speaker 3:To where I look emaciated.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 3:So if I'm hungry, I'm like, I'm like a bear.

Speaker 2:I'm like, instead of packing.

Speaker 1:On the pounds for hibernation, I pack on the pounds for like a sad day.

Speaker 2:Or a week or months. No. So you say this, but like the truth is how you eat really does fluctuate. Me? Yeah.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:Yeah. Yeah. So like just for clarity, it's not like you do eat this way all the time. You don't.

Speaker 3:No, I'm really balanced usually. You are.

Speaker 2:So it's like you, what you would call intuitive eating technically, right? You're giving your body what you feel like. That's like what they would call that. Okay. And a lot of the times, like when I'm around, you're eating well-balanced meals. Yeah. Like, let's be honest. So, and it's just funny that you say that because every single client, because I'm a trainer or like anyone, like it'll be a random person on the street and you're, they'll be like, they'll be like, what do you do? And I'm like, oh, I'm a trainer.

Speaker 2:And they're like, oh, well, last night I went to McDonald's. They're like, all right. Like everyone always wants to confess their food to me because I'm a trainer and they want my reaction to it. And I'm like, okay, well, you can't take it back. So like, they're like repenting. Yeah.

Speaker 3:You're like God.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:And this podcast is done and my life is complete.

Speaker 3:God. She is risen. I forgive you for what that's worth.

Speaker 2:And we're going to focus on strength training today and continuing the balance. And ass. There's always ass.

Speaker 3:That's my number one thing.

Speaker 1:I heard, because I'm not usually a person that I have ADD and ADHD. So like the comment section, it's not like I only steer clear of it because it gets scary. But also it's just like a lot to where I short circuit. It's like a giant group chat with people you don't know. Oh.

Speaker 2:Is the best. And like I do not thrive in a group chat with people I do know. No. For the record, you do not.

Speaker 3:So I.

Speaker 1:heard from one of our producers and you that there was like a dispute about the butt injection thing.

Speaker 2:So uh you heard it here first they are injections.

Speaker 3:I'm just kidding everyone goes.

Speaker 2:Wild um no it's it's comical to me that people even think that because like you say it first like if you got injections.

Speaker 1:There would be no, like, did she? You would just know, like, oh, she did. Because the moment you saw it, it would be like, clearly it's not real. Because I like that look.

Speaker 3:I'm still.

Speaker 1:I still have not written it off to, like, get my body done. However, just listen.

Speaker 2:Just listen.

Speaker 1:I love that look. But I also don't know if I'm fully done having kids.

Speaker 2:Like, I know.

Speaker 1:That at this moment in time, I can say, I don't want any kids anymore.

Speaker 2:Yes.

Speaker 3:But to say like, okay, so you're done. It's like, well, no, no, no.

Speaker 2:I didn't say that. Hold up.

Speaker 1:Hold on.

Speaker 3:I did not say that. But for the time being.

Speaker 2:Yes.

Speaker 3:I'm fine.

Speaker 1:So if I'm going to go in and like have fat taken and put in my ass, I want to make sure that I'm done having babies. And I know you're anti-ass injections. By the way, a lot of, even a lot of doctors are.

Speaker 2:Okay, look, like I don't want to say I'm fully anti because if something makes you feel good, right, and it feels safe to you, then do it. Like if someone wants a mommy makeover, don't deprive yourself of something that will help you feel good, right? However, like my thing is always let's go the natural path first. And like, if people are literally on the internet arguing that you got injections.

Speaker 3:There would be no argument.

Speaker 2:Why the fuck do we need injections? Do you see what I'm saying?

Speaker 3:Like, why do you, if people.

Speaker 2:Are literally like, oh, she injected that fat ass. Why are you like, I'm going to inject my fat ass? Because it could always be fatter. The bigger, the better. Good. Keep eating your schnitzel and see what happens.

Speaker 3:I was looking at my ass.

Speaker 2:Although there is a balance to that.

Speaker 3:No, but I did look at my ass today.

Speaker 1:And like the lights were kind of off and I only had natural lighting and I like looked into my vanity and I was like, Oh no, we've got, we've got a little, we've got.

Speaker 3:A little dimplage happening. We've got a little dimplage.

Speaker 2:Yeah. Wait, who was, can we just digress for a moment? It's fine. Please, please, please don't go telling my clients just to eat pasta and you'll get a fat ass.

Speaker 3:Someone to tell me that.

Speaker 2:I know. And I was so pissed when I showed up that morning because I was like, that is not, that's not how it happens. Um, Look, you put the work in and like there are ebbs and flows depending on your schedule, of course. But like we've been working out consistently for how many years? Oh, very long time. Right. So I lived at Palazzo in the very first apartment. I know.

Speaker 3:And I've known you since I moved here.

Speaker 2:When I was 23. I know. I'm going to be 36. I'm 36 today, actually. So wild. When this comes out. Yeah. I was like, no, not today. I was like, did I forget your birthday too? Yeah.

Speaker 3:We're going to get into all of it.

Speaker 2:Yeah, I want to get into that. But what I do want to touch on is like consistency is key. And like the reason that you can, first of all, yes, you are like 1000% naturally blessed. You're considered an ectomorph, which means- What the fuck is that? I mean, you're naturally skinnier.

Speaker 1:Oh, okay.

Speaker 3:I'm not a dinosaur. Doesn't that sound like a dinosaur?

Speaker 2:Yeah, well, it's ectomorph, endomorph, and a mesomorph. So there's three different body types. And like you are an ectomorph, which means you're naturally skinnier.

Speaker 1:Okay.

Speaker 2:So the blessing is that like, yeah, you do have a little more leeway to eat the way that you eat and your body will snap back quicker. You also have, right, like what we said, like the consistency of 10 years, holy hell, of exercising and consistency. So you have a little more elasticity to play with those kinds of things because you have built the foundation.

Speaker 1:Okay.

Speaker 2:And that's what like creating a sustainable lifestyle is all about. And not depriving yourself of everything because you don't need to at this point.

Speaker 3:Does that make sense?

Speaker 1:Yes. And I love, you and I were talking the other day and we were talking about you as a trainer and we spoke about like your method of training is not complete lifestyle changes, but lifestyle integration where like, totally let's live the way that we live so that it's not a shock to the system or habits. But how do we like, add things to your lifestyle to make those tweaks? Because I find that when I have not worked out for a while and then we get back into it, it's fucking brutal.

Speaker 2:Yeah, it is.

Speaker 3:When we do start adding things.

Speaker 1:More days or more times or more weight, I'm like, oh my gosh, you start becoming obsessed. And then those lifestyle changes just naturally happen. 1000%.

Speaker 2:And then you're like, oh, I didn't change anything. When like you've actually changed everything. And that's the most beautiful part. And it's all about making small changes like at a time, right? So it's like, What's one thing that I can do right now? It's like technically not to get all whatever, but a smart goal, right? So something that's like specifical, specifical. I like that word. That would be great.

Speaker 1:You're a specifical anamorphosis or whatever the fuck you said.

Speaker 2:A lot of weird words happening on this podcast.

Speaker 3:Are these trainer terms?

Speaker 2:No, it's literally non-existent.

Speaker 3:You guys are your own species.

Speaker 1:Trainers. Put them in a box on an island by themselves over here.

Speaker 2:You're over here. No, like specific, measurable, attainable, relative, and time bound.

Speaker 1:Okay.

Speaker 2:And it's such a great way to pick like one thing at a time. And you and I do it. You just don't realize that we're doing it most of the time because I'm not like, hey, we're doing a smart goal today.

Speaker 3:No, I don't want to know because I don't like change.

Speaker 1:Right. Right.

Speaker 2:You don't even realize it's happening and then kind of how you said. You're like, oh.

Speaker 3:Yeah, point it out after the fact.

Speaker 2:Well, obviously, I know you well.

Speaker 1:Because Jenna, during our workouts, there are days where she'll be like, we're going to try something new today. And I'm like, I immediately start to panic.

Speaker 2:Yes, she does.

Speaker 3:I feel like I want to take a nap. I'm like, new? New means different. And different means a change.

Speaker 1:And now my body is going into shut down mode. Ergo.

Speaker 3:It is Virgo.

Speaker 2:Full Virgo. She's like, not this. Not now.

Speaker 3:The wind blew a different direction. How do I handle it? This was not a part of the plan.

Speaker 2:I wrote down what we were doing today and we're diverting.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:That's how I've always been though.

Speaker 3:And it's with everything.

Speaker 2:But then what happens? We do it.

Speaker 3:We do it and I don't die.

Speaker 2:And then I'm like, wow. This felt amazing.

Speaker 1:I didn't die. And then the ass gets some blood flow. And it's like perky and excellent.

Speaker 2:So to touch on that nice ass of yours.

Speaker 1:Thank you.

Speaker 2:It's very nice. I, you know, no, it's not fake. Let's be clear here. And secondly, it's the work that we put in over time. It's really, it's really that simple and progressive overload and making sure that you're actually lifting heavy enough. Not when you're lifting and you're like, Ooh, this hurts a little bit. Like Lala is literally like you are screaming at me in, in the workouts. Like you get pissed at me because you're like, this fucking hurts, right?

Speaker 2:And it hurts because you're putting your body through enough adversity to actually grow the muscle. And that's why your butt is getting bigger and bigger. I will say though, my ass has always been bottom heavy. She's got them apple bottom jeans, baby. She's like down here.

Speaker 1:That's how you know it's not a fake ass because the shelf was not happening a lot. And I have the dimples in the side. You can't change those though. I can with some injections.

Speaker 2:Stop it.

Speaker 3:We'll see.

Speaker 1:I'm back and forth on the whole thing. There are days where I'm like, I'm going to do it. And then there are days where I'm like, oh, what if something goes wrong?

Speaker 4:Okay.

Speaker 2:Also, first of all, yeah, they can move.

Speaker 1:Right.

Speaker 3:I know.

Speaker 1:I had a friend who had her ass done to fill out the dimples. And instead of dimples, she now has what she calls saddlebags.

Speaker 3:Saddlebags. Yeah.

Speaker 1:She does.

Speaker 3:The fat dropped.

Speaker 1:No.

Speaker 2:So that's one thing that can happen. And the other thing that can also happen is like, right? When you do those injections, then you're having to find the fine balance of not over-exercising because you're going to burn through the fat. I don't want that. So they can literally disappear.

Speaker 3:Oh, I don't like that. There you go.

Speaker 1:See, this is where I think I differ.

Speaker 2:I know.

Speaker 1:Like this GLP-1 kick where it's like really skinny. I have never wanted that body type. I'm grateful for the body that I have. Everything works. Everything's moving.

Speaker 3:Love it.

Speaker 1:But I like the feeling of being able to, I like when I put jeans on and I'm like, oh shit, I got to jump a little bit.

Speaker 3:Or, oh, I can't get this over my ass.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:I like that feeling. Yeah. I prefer women with meat on their bones. Yeah.

Speaker 1:And I don't necessarily have that body type. So we always want what we don't have, right? No.

Speaker 3:So that's another thing when I'm eating all of that food, I'm thinking, Oh, thickness. I want to get thick.

Speaker 2:However, what I will say is, um, you know, eating the right balance of foods is also important. And also eating cleaner foods is most important. Um, And that's like the trainer oatmeal. See now berries for breakfast. I love this.

Speaker 3:I love this.

Speaker 2:And that's what will actually prevent those little dimple looking things. The dimples are coming from.

Speaker 3:The excessive amounts of fast food that I have been consuming. It's been nonstop pretty much.

Speaker 2:And that will be a side effect of eating that way. You know? Yeah.

Speaker 3:I wouldn't, I got a little too comfortable in the paint.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 3:I was like, we should do this every night. Hold up.

Speaker 2:Hold up.

Speaker 3:You got to try one, though.

Speaker 2:I can't.

Speaker 1:Why?

Speaker 2:Gluten-free. Okay, I'll take the bun off. Then I could.

Speaker 3:I'll get you a gluten-free bun. Fine. You will die.

Speaker 2:I will do it.

Speaker 1:I ordered them for the whole house. You had people over. No, I had them over. I had people over, and I was like, you guys have to try Wiener Schnitzel. And when I tell you, they were like, this is.

Speaker 2:Fucking delicious.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:And it's always piping hot, as my mom would say.

Speaker 1:Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2:We do like piping hot, though. For real. It's going to be piping hot.

Speaker 3:My mouth is watering. I can't stop thinking about it.

Speaker 1:Can we talk about this really quickly and then we'll get back into like fitness, but also I have some pop culture.

Speaker 2:Stuff I want to talk about. Okay. You know that time I missed your birthday? Oh, this year?

Speaker 3:Yeah.

Speaker 2:Yeah, I do.

Speaker 3:Jenna was like, you never texted me.

Speaker 2:I was like, I swear I did.

Speaker 3:And she was like, you didn't. And I was like, oh, fuck.

Speaker 1:There was so much talk about a birthday trip that like, I think I just.

Speaker 2:Forgot.

Speaker 3:I literally, wait, this is the best part.

Speaker 2:I was literally leaving town and you were going to try and come, right? And then you couldn't. And I get back, like didn't hear from you while I was away. And I mentioned that you missed my birthday and you're like, isn't it in July? Yeah.

Speaker 1:I said are we in july and you're like yes which means you missed my birthday and i was like.

Speaker 2:Oh shit yeah look really bad fuck up really bad fuck up but i i know how you are no i'm serious and this is no sometimes but i'm just kidding no you're not you're not like the truth is i i know you as a person i know I know your personality. I know, right? Like your, even though your birthday is coming up, it is today, technically right now. Yeah.

Speaker 3:But please text me. I'm in a really bad spot. Oh, you know how it feels now. I'm in a really bad spot. I now know how you feel. Keep going.

Speaker 1:Keep going.

Speaker 2:You can make it up to me.

Speaker 3:It's fine. I'll text you on my own birthday.

Speaker 1:Yeah, please.

Speaker 2:This is really for you. And I know that you love me. And we all, we make mistakes. And I know that like before I was leaving, you're like, have the best time. We'll talk. I know that it wasn't from a bad place. And I think you and I have the gift of understanding each other on a deep enough level that like we can get mad. We can get hurt. But we have always worked through it. Oh, every time. And, and when I, there's been a lot of times, but there's, there's been times and like, that's okay.

Speaker 2:That's what friendship is.

Speaker 1:Right.

Speaker 2:It's testing and then growing together. Yeah. You know what? And to me, that's like what true friendship is. And we've always had that gift and the ability to do that. And that is a beautiful thing. And when, when I told you, you like, you took acceptance and you apologized. And like genuinely apologized, gave me the biggest fricking hug, got emotional about it. And you didn't just try to make excuses. Do you know what I mean? I think that's the biggest thing. You're like, I own this. And, and I fucked up.

Speaker 3:Can I tell you, so I miss your birthday.

Speaker 2:And then you also, and then I missed Amber's birthday.

Speaker 3:Cause I was like, Oh, it's not. I was like, what is going on with me?

Speaker 2:Where like, I'm not remembering important days. Like, Put it in your phone. Put it in your calendar.

Speaker 1:And I was going to say, and there's no excuse, but I feel like I live and die by my Google calendar. And so when it's written down for me, like I know it's almost like a checklist.

Speaker 3:Not that a birthday is.

Speaker 1:Like a checklist, but there, there was, I don't, it's, it's a blessing and a curse of being in the industry that we're in because every day feels the same. Yes. You know, like weekdays look similar to the weekends. So you never really know. And that's, The months all look the same because it's always fucking just sunny and gorgeous.

Speaker 3:And you don't even realize time is passing.

Speaker 1:No, you don't.

Speaker 2:I wake up and I'm like, after your birthday, I was like, we're in July. And you're like, first of all, we're not.

Speaker 1:But even if we were, it's still a miss. You missed my birthday. Yeah.

Speaker 3:It's funny now, but it was not funny then.

Speaker 2:No, at the time it was not, it was not funny, but like we talked about it and you accepted it. Well, I knew that it was like, you were struggling with this birthday. I was really struggling with this.

Speaker 1:What was the struggle that you were feeling? Like knowing that your birthday was coming up, like what was going through your head of like what this birthday represented that maybe it has every birthday been hard for you?

Speaker 2:No, not every birthday, but I think it's, the realization of time passing. Yeah. And you know, and you're similar to, I am, it's like, we have goals and aspirations and I'm not talking financially. I'm, I'm talking familial friendships, life. And every year they pass, it's like, Oh, I get emotional. Um, That's fine because I will most likely sob on this podcast. I'm just giving you fair warning. You're in great company. Okay, good, good.

Speaker 3:This is where we get emotional.

Speaker 1:Yeah, it is.

Speaker 2:It is. Okay, so this didn't, like, I'm still single. I haven't met a person in my life that I'm super excited about. I don't have kids. And there's all these... milestones that you think you're going to hit in life at a certain point and you haven't.

Speaker 1:Right.

Speaker 2:And when the birthday hits, even though every day is technically time moving. Right. Do you know what I mean?

Speaker 1:Every day is like the thought of it is like a celebration.

Speaker 2:Correct.

Speaker 3:And you're like, right.

Speaker 1:But for me, it's a representation of me feeling like I would be somewhere different and maybe this birthday I would have someone to be there to celebrate with or this birthday.

Speaker 3:Now I have a baby, you know, I understand.

Speaker 2:So this year hit really hard for me.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:Um, is this your 40th? Yeah.

Speaker 3:Did that mean anything?

Speaker 2:Yeah, it did.

Speaker 4:Okay.

Speaker 3:It really did.

Speaker 2:It's a whole new decade. Right. And like, 40 sounds more mature and kind of deeper into life than 30.

Speaker 3:You know what I mean?

Speaker 1:But I'm looking at you and I'm like, she does not look 40.

Speaker 3:I know, I get it. She's a child.

Speaker 2:She's a baby. I get it all the time where people are like, no. Like they don't, like people do not believe me. You look really fucking good.

Speaker 3:It's wild.

Speaker 2:It's all that exercise.

Speaker 3:And all that good eating. And all that gluten-free shit.

Speaker 2:Yeah. It's not ultra processed like schnitzel. Fuck you. I will process my ass off with the schnitzel.

Speaker 3:Do not come for the schnitzel.

Speaker 2:I will process my ass to the schnitzel every day.

Speaker 3:One of the great loves of my life. One of the greatest.

Speaker 2:And who are the others? My kids. You know, I think it's taking the mindset shift of All of the things, and this is what really worked for me because your birthday, and I want to hear about that.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:Was really from all of the things that haven't happened.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:And shifting it into the things that have.

Speaker 3:Okay.

Speaker 2:And what I have accomplished and what I can do that, you know, other people can't at this point in their lives who are in a different situation.

Speaker 3:Yeah.

Speaker 2:And for instance, right, like I've been traveling.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 3:You get to go wherever you want.

Speaker 2:I get to go wherever I want. At any time. At any time.

Speaker 1:Work.

Speaker 2:Everything. And instead of focusing on the time that has passed and things that haven't happened, focusing on the things that have.

Speaker 1:Okay.

Speaker 2:And the relationships that I have built. And that is a gift.

Speaker 1:Right.

Speaker 2:And has helped a lot. I think that's.

Speaker 1:A wonderful and a beautiful way to look at it because I think, you know, I'm a part of this gratitude text thread that's mainly.

Speaker 3:Sober women.

Speaker 2:Well, it is all sober women. Yeah.

Speaker 3:But it does force you to take.

Speaker 1:A moment even when you're going through all the shit because the shit is so much more overwhelming and easy to focus on. And I don't know why. It's just how we were created. But take a moment to like in that thread. We all fucking bitch, right?

Speaker 2:Of course.

Speaker 3:And then we say.

Speaker 1:So today I'm grateful for my fucking Starbucks that like put a smile, like even the smallest of things.

Speaker 2:The smallest. I wake up every morning and do a gratitude list.

Speaker 1:I think no matter if you're sober or not, it should be just a part of the mind, body, and spirit.

Speaker 2:For every negative, I'm sorry, for every positive thought, we have eight negative thoughts. And think of how many thoughts we have 10,000 thoughts in a day.

Speaker 1:That's it.

Speaker 2:It's like way more, maybe it's more, maybe I'm way off, but like, think about that. Think of all the negativity that we're just, our brains are constantly fighting. So if you wake up and the first thing you do is you're like, okay, I'm, I'm grateful for this bed right now.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:Right. I'm grateful for ocean cuddling me, you know, whatever I know. Right. And you say five things, you're immediately at least putting yourself in a place where you're thinking positively versus what naturally happens, how the brain works.

Speaker 1:Right. Right.

Speaker 2:Negatively. And I love that you do that every day. I didn't know that.

Speaker 1:Cool.

Speaker 3:I mean, it's been... I don't... This birthday.

Speaker 2:Yeah, talk to me.

Speaker 1:Coming up is like... Or I guess today is so weird for me. And I can't quite put my finger on why it feels weird. I think, again, it's a reminder of where you thought you would be. And, you know, Ocean started school and she lost a tooth. And... There's big changes happening with my kids. Ocean is, or Sosa's turning two tomorrow. You know, this baby who was such a well.

Speaker 3:Thought out human.

Speaker 2:Oh gosh, I know I helped you pick the donor.

Speaker 1:To think back like, oh my gosh, that feels like it was yesterday.

Speaker 2:Yeah. And now.

Speaker 3:She's here in human form.

Speaker 1:The name that I had picked out years ago now has a face to it.

Speaker 2:Yeah.

Speaker 1:The greatest decision I ever made, but she's turning two. Like, what are you talking about?

Speaker 2:It's too fast.

Speaker 1:It's too fucking fast. And then that situation, you know, with the boy who I met at the beginning of the year.

Speaker 2:Do I?

Speaker 1:Everyone remembers him because. still to this day, he has really wreaked havoc on my emotional state. And I don't know, you know, I've cried to my mom and Easton and I'm like, I know how you guys feel, but I have to tell you, like, I'm really super bummed about it.

Speaker 3:And it's like a good thing.

Speaker 1:And I guess a bad thing, the, the bad thing about it is, is it's taken me a really long time to recover because But also what it's brought into play is like a lot of like a grieving process.

Speaker 2:Yeah, but yes. And can I also add in like before for me, the biggest gift in this whole thing before this guy, you didn't believe that you could ever feel that way.

Speaker 3:Well, not only did I feel like I.

Speaker 2:Like you really believed you would never feel this way again and now you know you can't.

Speaker 1:Yes. Well, that was the other thing I was going to say is it's brought... Even though there's a grieving process happening that's so far beyond just him and what happened. Yeah.

Speaker 2:But like I look at my kids.

Speaker 1:And I had to explain this to my mom because sometimes my mom just like she doesn't fucking get it.

Speaker 2:And like.

Speaker 1:I was crying yesterday and my mom said something back to me and Easton.

Speaker 3:Was like, that's your response.

Speaker 2:It was like, it was basically nothing.

Speaker 1:And my brother was like, Lauren just like spilled her whole soul to you.

Speaker 3:And like, that is your response.

Speaker 2:And I had to explain to her, like, my mom is very, she doesn't want to look under the hood. She just wants to look at the car. I think it's their generation. It must be, but it's my mom is the same way. It, it drives me nuts. It's like, you don't want to talk about it. You don't even necessarily want to process it. And then it's like, okay, so how do we move past? No, no, no. Like you have to process it to move past.

Speaker 1:Yeah. My mom, like I'll spill my heart sobbing and she'll be like, You're going to find someone.

Speaker 2:And I'm like, what the fuck? This is so much deeper than that.

Speaker 1:Like I'm going through something where like I'm devastated that I really.

Speaker 2:Thought like, oh my God, did I find someone.

Speaker 1:Who I really, really enjoy and like would consider having a baby with, would consider all of these things that I never in a million years thought I wanted nor needed. So blessing, but also curse. also it opened up like i will never have like oceans memories will always be mom's house and dad's house she will never experience what i experienced like all of my stuff in one place and although kids are resilient and most likely she's not going to be affected by it because I have to say, I feel like I'm doing a pretty damn good job as a parent.

Speaker 2:You're a freaking incredible mom. I get to see it firsthand all the time. Well, thank you.

Speaker 1:And I hope that God continues to like speak through me. And like, when I say that, I just mean like, sometimes I feel like my brain is shutting down and I can't do it. And I'm like, God, I need you to like take over for me and help me through this moment of her having a meltdown or getting through first school drop-off because like I'm, not well.

Speaker 4:And I know that she's going to go through changes and so is Sosa. And I just, when I think about like my life and what I've created and I'm so fucking proud, but there are moments where I'm like, Ocean is never going to have like her parents in one place.

Speaker 3:This was not the game plan.

Speaker 1:Sosa most likely will not have like someone come into my life where he will take over as a dad. Like, and I have to be okay with that. This is a decision I made and she's going to be fine. Cause again, I call on God and I'm like, just, you know, help me navigate this. But meeting that guy, like made me realize that like, maybe I want it, want something that I didn't think I wanted or needed. And this birthday is like a representation of like, fuck, like what, Have I done with my life?

Speaker 2:Well, I can list a thousand things that you have done. You know, the first thing that my, I love you so much.

Speaker 1:I love you too.

Speaker 2:Like so deeply. And you're such an incredible human.

Speaker 5:And what Ocean doesn't have to go through because of the strength that you had to step away.

Speaker 2:Is a house full of anger, hate, arguing, fights.

Speaker 4:Yeah.

Speaker 2:That, in my mind, is far more detrimental to any child than having two happy homes.

Speaker 3:Yeah, no, you're right.

Speaker 2:And, like, she has two homes. How cool is that?

Speaker 3:Yeah, no, I mean, she's thriving, and I know she's going to continue to thrive.

Speaker 2:Thriving.

Speaker 1:I know she's going to continue to thrive.

Speaker 2:And you couldn't predict how terrible that relationship was going to end. You had no idea at the time. I could have predicted, Jenna. I chose to ignore it.

Speaker 3:That's the other thing.

Speaker 1:Why though? Why?

Speaker 2:Because you wanted to have one home.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:Okay. But the lesser of two evils was leaving.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:Yeah, no. There was no version of sticking. With all the information that came in, There was no version of staying with, with. So with the cards that were dealt in that situation, all we can do, you know, to bring it back to the schnitzel is make the best choice of the cards that were dealt.

Speaker 3:Right.

Speaker 2:And like, like I said, with the schnitzel, like you can't take it back.

Speaker 1:Okay.

Speaker 2:So now we're going to work out. We're going to do this.

Speaker 1:Right.

Speaker 2:So like, you can't take back what happened. No. Do you know what I mean? So you're moving forwards the best way you can in the most healthy way for your kids.

Speaker 1:Yeah. And I, like getting a donor and having Sosa was the greatest decision of my whole life. Like I look at her and she's just the most, she's so different from Ocean. But when I say that Sosa is just happy to be here.

Speaker 2:I see her every day.

Speaker 3:She just wakes up.

Speaker 2:She's so happy.

Speaker 1:And is just Happy to fucking be here. You know, she's like a little brand new spirit. She's, like, magical and whimsical and free-spirited and curious.

Speaker 2:And has a great freaking home.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:And, like, you're saying she's never going to have this fatherly figure. You don't know. You cannot predict the future. No, I can't. This year, maybe this birthday, which is really just one day that we make such a big deal of. And I can't say, why do we do that? Because I do it every year. But it's one day where you get to be with her and celebrate everything that she does have.

Speaker 3:And it's a lot.

Speaker 1:I know. I know.

Speaker 2:She has a lot, like so much love, so much family, friends, everything. And like you do too.

Speaker 1:Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2:And I know it's really easy. Now I'm going to get emotional.

Speaker 3:What the fuck are you doing to me? No, I've been emotional for the past two weeks.

Speaker 1:And I looked at my Flow app and I am nowhere near my period.

Speaker 2:It's really easy for us to fixate on the things that we don't have. And to get emotional about them. And it's understandable. It's human-like. But I am getting emotional because I see the beauty in everything that you do have. And like that is a gift.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:And everything that you give these kids, everything that you put your heart and soul into, like.

Speaker 3:You should be celebrating this birthday.

Speaker 1:You just like made me feel so happy.

Speaker 3:It's just what I see.

Speaker 2:No, you're right.

Speaker 3:I really needed to talk about this.

Speaker 2:I love you so much. I love you too. I watch you every day pour your heart into these kids. We're working out from home for how many years now because you don't want to leave your kids. Yeah.

Speaker 1:Thank you for pointing all of that out. And I shouldn't be celebrating because I also think that Your perspective changed and we don't have to like get into it if you don't want to, but losing your dad.

Speaker 2:Oh God. You know, like right before I was, um, leaving my mom, like had this note on the table because we were supposed to celebrate my 40th, like with my dad.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:And like, I didn't get to, um, And it was like, we were talking about how we were all going to like do something together and like go on a trip and it didn't happen.

Speaker 1:Um, and.

Speaker 2:It's, I mean, it's the hardest thing I've ever been through in my life.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:You know, um, I mean, you've been there every day for me through it to just check in and reach out. And it's something that I know you've been through and we'll all go through.

Speaker 5:Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2:And nothing in life prepares you for it.

Speaker 4:No.

Speaker 2:And you go through that.

Speaker 1:It's not only like losing your parent, but then having to accept that like, he's not going to see you get married. He's not going to see you have kids. And depending on what you believe in, like, obviously I know that my dad did see me have children and be a mom. And I think he's, one of the greatest reasons why I have what I have.

Speaker 2:Right.

Speaker 1:Yeah. But like, we're just selfish by nature and it's like, right. I understand that. But I, I want to see my dad.

Speaker 2:Like.

Speaker 3:Look at my kids.

Speaker 2:Yeah. I think there's something really different between knowing they're there and like, looking down on us right or whatever you believe in versus being able to give that hug being able to physically be there and touch it's like one of the main senses that we have as humans and we're cut off from all of them.

Speaker 3:So it's it's a very different experience.

Speaker 5:Than okay i know he's seeing Well, you have to dig really deep and you have to find like, no, you know.

Speaker 2:Where my mind goes to.

Speaker 3:I'm like, is he seeing everything?

Speaker 2:No, no, no.

Speaker 3:He talked.

Speaker 1:But by the way, I had a picture of me and my dad on my nightstand.

Speaker 2:And I now have it in a drawer and I'm like, I'm really sorry, dad.

Speaker 1:But like, you got to go in the drawer because like, you.

Speaker 3:Don't want to see everything. I don't want you to see everything. They don't see that shit. They don't see that shit. I promise.

Speaker 1:No no if they couldn't see it here on earth they ain't seen it up there.

Speaker 2:Can I also say one more thing regarding just to go back to what you were saying about Sosa we only know what we know you're like what the fuck no I love this elaborate So this is the household she grew up in.

Speaker 3:Oh, I love where you're going with this.

Speaker 2:Keep going. She doesn't even know what it's like to have the dad around, right? Like she has Easton. It's not like she doesn't have a great role model. Yeah, and she loves him. And she's obsessed with him, but meaning this is her home. You're projecting onto her.

Speaker 3:I shouldn't do that.

Speaker 2:Well, I'm not saying you are, but I'm saying like part of you getting emotional was like, she's never going to have a dad. Like, you know what that's like. Mm-hmm. Which is a beautiful gift. And you and I had the conversation of, you know, both of our dads passed and it's been the hardest thing in my life. And you're like, me too. And you said something that was so beautiful that resonated with me that was like, I would rather take this feeling, right, over not having a relationship with my father at all. Yeah. There are people who are like, my dad dies. Right. I feel nothing.

Speaker 2:There's a lot.

Speaker 5:Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2:But Sosa doesn't even know what she's missing. No. It's like the roadrunner, like ignorance is bliss. And sometimes that is a beautiful gift.

Speaker 1:I had a conversation. She's not lacking love. That's for damn sure. Right.

Speaker 3:She's got a lot of love.

Speaker 2:So much love.

Speaker 1:It's very, to the cookie cutter world, it's very untraditional. Okay.

Speaker 3:But for my kids, this is just their norm.

Speaker 2:Right.

Speaker 3:And I had a conversation. So like, fuck traditional.

Speaker 2:You know what I mean?

Speaker 3:I had no choice. Well, actually, I did have a choice. You did have a choice. I did have a choice, but it wasn't on my terms, right?

Speaker 2:Right.

Speaker 1:Like, there was compromise and a waiting period. And I said to myself, this is not the life. I'm not just going to, like, throw it to the wind. I'm not compromising when it comes to my next child. My kid is going to be in this household with stability and consistency and all of the things. And I had a conversation with a dear friend of mine who's gay in a gay partnership. And when I brought this up, it was very tough love. And he was like, what a fucking ignorant thing to say. And I was like, I know where this is going. I mean, he was like, my kid will never have a mom.

Speaker 2:Right. Literally was just thinking that. Right. I'm in a.

Speaker 3:And untraditional in some places.

Speaker 1:Totally.

Speaker 2:Partnership.

Speaker 1:My kid's never going to know the difference because my kid has love.

Speaker 3:And I was like, you just checked me so fucking hard. Like, I don't even know what to say to that.

Speaker 2:Accurate and so real. Yeah. That's amazing.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 3:I was called ignorant. And I was beat. You just said it. Oh my God.

Speaker 2:That felt really good. And you know what? I'm now.

Speaker 1:looking forward to my birthday because I am going to celebrate it like that. Yeah.

Speaker 2:You just made like a massive change in my thought process. How do you feel about that?

Speaker 3:It feels so good.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:It feels good to make a difference in someone's day. You just made a huge one in mind, just so you know, it's just the truth. I'm glad that we talked through it. You and me both.

Speaker 3:Oh, I just feel like a weight was lifted off of.

Speaker 2:I love that. I feel like I was hit by a train, but like a really fun train. So I don't have to text you on your birthday? Bitch, if you don't text me on my birthday, you're a petty motherfucker. We know I'm not, actually. Obviously, Dolly Parton passed away, which was horrible.

Speaker 3:That one, like, hit.

Speaker 2:We were training when your mom came in and told us. Yes. That and Hayden Panettiere. I was... So surprised. I mean.

Speaker 3:Like my heart felt heavy.

Speaker 1:Same. The Hayden one because, you know, I was obsessed with her because she was responsible for doing the cove with the dolphin slaughtering. Where she like paddled out with a bunch of people to stop it.

Speaker 2:Oh my gosh. It's brutal. But she was like a huge fucking voice for that. Both of those actually really hit me hard too.

Speaker 1:It did.

Speaker 2:You could just like, Dolly was like such a sweet spirit.

Speaker 1:I saw this video of her, by the way, which was so good because she's like, when people talk about how, um, I will always love you as Whitney songs or Whitney song. Yeah. She can have the credit as long as you're giving me the check.

Speaker 2:He's like, fucking gangster. Take the credit. I just want the money.

Speaker 3:I don't give a fuck about that.

Speaker 2:Show me the money. That song by Tupac where he's like, all I want is money.

Speaker 3:Fuck the fame.

Speaker 2:I'm a simple man.

Speaker 3:Rings so true to my soul. Is that your theme song? That's my... What is it?

Speaker 1:Slogan?

Speaker 2:Motto? I don't know. It's written right there.

Speaker 3:I'm like, I.

Speaker 2:Don't... Have the fame.

Speaker 3:Have the relevance.

Speaker 2:Yeah.

Speaker 3:I just want the check.

Speaker 2:It is... By the way, we've had this conversation before, and I think that is what keeps you, in particular, so grounded in life. Because I don't want relevance. I don't mean it like that. Because you don't get caught up in it.

Speaker 1:No.

Speaker 3:It exhausts me.

Speaker 2:Which is very rare. Like when I. It's so rare.

Speaker 1:You have to post more on socials because we got to stay relevant.

Speaker 3:I'm like, what is this?

Speaker 1:Like when I see people who like never post on socials, I'm like, I so relate.

Speaker 3:Like I would not.

Speaker 1:I know you do. Look, I wouldn't think twice about it if it wasn't like part of the job description. Because now in entertainment, like you truly have to have it. And it's exhausting. I love posting on the podcast page though. Because I feel like I'm like talking with my friends.

Speaker 2:Yeah, you're not.

Speaker 3:It's like real honest conversation.

Speaker 2:Doesn't feel like you're forcing anything. Not that I ever feel, but.

Speaker 3:I don't feel like I have to be on.

Speaker 1:Yeah. Like when I'm on this mic with my people who like obviously are listening because- They're my people. Yeah. I just feel like I can just truly be my, myself. Yeah.

Speaker 2:It feels authentic.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:Like your most authentic self, which when you're your authentic self, it's not work.

Speaker 1:Not at all.

Speaker 2:Right. Doing the podcast is like the best thing ever. That's what I mean.

Speaker 1:Um, Kendall Jenner sees Jacob Elordi as husband material.

Speaker 2:Um, I had no idea they were dating. You're talking to the wrong person. Do you know who Jacob Elordi is?

Speaker 1:Nope.

Speaker 2:You're going to die. Let me see. I don't normally like this type of man. Oh, Elordi.

Speaker 3:Show me the goods.

Speaker 2:He is. Show me the goods. He is fine as fuck. Really?

Speaker 1:Yes.

Speaker 2:All right, let me see.

Speaker 3:And you know my type.

Speaker 2:Yeah, I do.

Speaker 1:This is like so not my type. But he's like suddenly my type. I like him with facial hair better.

Speaker 2:Oh, yeah.

Speaker 3:He's super handsome. He's so hot.

Speaker 2:Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 1:Like, look at him.

Speaker 2:Face yeah his facial structure is a I gave it a tan.

Speaker 1:He's got that fucking uh snatched the jawline so yeah he is husband material.

Speaker 2:He is definitely husband material I would what are what are what would you say is like the number one for husband material oh that's a great question like my number one trait for husband material yeah support love it You want to know mine? I think I already know, but go for it. A big deal. I'm just like, no.

Speaker 1:So obviously one that everyone would say is like, you have to be excellent with my children. Yes.

Speaker 3:That's like a given. Last night I used.

Speaker 1:One of those hair rollers and my mom walks in to take her contacts out. She goes, oh, that's interesting.

Speaker 2:She goes, leave it to your mom.

Speaker 3:She goes, that'll keep you single forever.

Speaker 1:I was like, I go, speaking of which I was like, This is what husband material would be for me.

Speaker 3:Sexy time. Like I will fuck you good. You'll fuck me good.

Speaker 1:And then I can go into the bathroom, put my hair like this, cover my face in castor oil, come out.

Speaker 3:You make a joke. And then want to cuddle while we watch Friends for a few hours. That I know.

Speaker 2:Girl.

Speaker 3:That is my husband.

Speaker 2:You're going to get that. That's not that difficult. I have seen you looking like that.

Speaker 3:No, it was so bad.

Speaker 1:It was so bad. I looked at myself and was like, holy shit. But I'm telling you, mark my words. The man that sees me, he's in bed and I walk out like that. And he says something funny. That's like kind of teasy. And we can both cackle about it. And then lay in bed and watch friends together. I'm marrying that man. Like contract and all. That's how locked in I would be.

Speaker 2:Just from that.

Speaker 1:Yes.

Speaker 3:To be able to walk out.

Speaker 2:Come on. Is that not a big deal?

Speaker 1:What is that?

Speaker 2:Like something about Mary. Like you probably just look like the chick from something about Mary with the semen in her hair.

Speaker 3:She's like, hello.

Speaker 1:And he's like, I don't know about you, but he's like, I got something about Mary right now.

Speaker 3:I'm going to send you a picture tonight. Please do.

Speaker 2:Because honestly, if.

Speaker 1:I feel comfortable enough, I will send it into the podcast.

Speaker 2:I think you should. And we can do a vote because God's honest truth. I feel like there isn't a single man who wouldn't bone you with your hair like that.

Speaker 3:I'm not even asking you to fuck me with it in. Like we can fuck when I look hot.

Speaker 1:As long as after I can come out looking like that.

Speaker 2:Yeah.

Speaker 1:You make a funny, silly joke and then watch friends with me. That's all I require.

Speaker 2:I feel like that could easily happen. I just want you to know. Yeah. Just saying, I'm just throwing it out there. I'm going to find him. He's there.

Speaker 3:I think I may have found him in some capacity.

Speaker 2:Yeah. Okay.

Speaker 3:We got to, we'll see.

Speaker 2:I'm not going to get too into it because the last time I did, I was left in the fetal position and, And I just don't want that to happen again.

Speaker 1:That was awful.

Speaker 2:You're down in that fetal.

Speaker 1:The other thing that I wanted, you don't care about this, but I care a lot. Real Housewives of Salt Lake. Jen Shaw completes her prison sentence. So she was let out of prison.

Speaker 2:Okay.

Speaker 3:A few months ago.

Speaker 2:But now, like, the home confinement and all that shit is over and done. What is she going to do?

Speaker 1:I don't know.

Speaker 2:Like, what do you do now after that?

Speaker 1:You know she was in there with the girl who did the blood?

Speaker 5:What?

Speaker 3:Theros or something?

Speaker 2:Yeah, I have no idea.

Speaker 1:You didn't ever watch that with Amanda Seyfried? No.

Speaker 2:Oh, you got to watch it. There's this girl who.

Speaker 1:Claims that she could— her name's Elizabeth Holmes.

Speaker 3:Oh, of course I do.

Speaker 1:Shh.

Speaker 2:Of course I do.

Speaker 1:We can do all the testing with one drop of blood.

Speaker 3:They were in prison together.

Speaker 2:They were?

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 3:We got to get the tea.

Speaker 1:The only thing I think of when I hear that they were in prison together is Rick Ross's song, Stay Scheming.

Speaker 3:I'm like, they were up in there scheming.

Speaker 2:That is their theme song.

Speaker 3:Because I don't think she'll ever be allowed back on Housewives.

Speaker 2:There's no way, right?

Speaker 3:Time makes everything better. Crazier things have happened.

Speaker 1:She's a nut job. The greatest of television. And her looks were always fabulous. I'm going to leave it on this one. Burning Man is this week. Would you go to this or have you been?

Speaker 2:Never been. Not really on my bucket list. Not really on mine either.

Speaker 1:Yeah, I know.

Speaker 2:And people are always like, you don't know until you go. And I understand, but I feel pretty free in life. I think you do too.

Speaker 5:I don't.

Speaker 3:I feel like a caged animal most of the time. Just wait until you have kids. It's wonderful.

Speaker 1:But then you have like your single friends who are like, we should go do this. Let's go to Mexico on a whim. And even though Mexico is like not.

Speaker 2:crazy.

Speaker 3:It's not like you're.

Speaker 1:Asking me to go on an African safari, but I'm like, you want to go in two weeks. Like it's impossible. I can plan it in like a few months. Yeah.

Speaker 2:Yeah. No, I, I think it's one of those things where people are like, Oh, you'll it's the most free I've ever felt in my life. And I feel pretty open in life already. And there are aspects of it that I would like to experience, you know, like the artwork that people build from the ground up, stuff like that. But I just feel like people go and do drugs and they're like, this is the best time of my life.

Speaker 3:It's because that's what they do, Jenna. Yeah, exactly. Oh no, it could be fun. Obviously I can't go.

Speaker 2:I'm sober.

Speaker 3:I think I would absolutely hate it. And you're dusty.

Speaker 2:Oh, you're so dusty. But then people talk about the camps that you're in. And if you're in the right camp and there's showers.

Speaker 3:Not much of a camper.

Speaker 2:Not much of a camper. No, me neither. What I do it, if it was the right situation, yes. Is it on my bucket list? That's a hard pass. Yeah.

Speaker 1:Yeah.

Speaker 2:Yeah, I've gotten a little bougie in my day. Yeah.

Speaker 1:Well, are they setting up like a pop-up Waldorf Astoria situation?

Speaker 3:Because then I'm all in. I would say definitely not. I had the best time with you on the podcast.

Speaker 2:Me too.

Speaker 1:Where can people find you? Where can people sign up to have you train them?

Speaker 2:All the things. Yes. You can find me on all social handles at MsJennaWillis.

Speaker 1:Ms.

Speaker 2:Jenna Willis. Yes. And for any sort of training services, you can go to my website, www.jennawilliscoaching.com. Excellent. Yeah.
