Speaker 1:Welcome to Bledsoe Said So, everybody. Um.
Speaker 2:Wow, I can't believe last week I got right to it and then didn't even talk about the text. So today I am going to talk about a text that I've been really wanting to, and it's really good. So we're finally going to get to it, and it's called The Key, the 10th text in the Corpus Hermeticum. Before I get too far, I want to make a quick special thank you and acknowledgement to our supporters at the Light Beings tier. We have Michaela Poirier, Brian Lynch. We have our married couple, Um, the Epperson's Chris and Daniel Epperson.
Speaker 2:And then we have, um, our two who like to remain anonymous. Last night we had one of our study sessions, which is at the star regulus tier. It's a thing that we've been doing recently where everybody at that tier and above, we do like a once in a month chat and a kind of a private, um, it's, it's like a closed group discussion where we just have casual conversations about, you know, all these deep mysteries. It's kind of like a podcast episode where we're all just riffing it and we're having a really good, fun conversation and just going deep. Why am I bringing this up? Because we just did one last night and it was awesome and we had a great time and it's just such a fun thing to be able to just like, you know, connect with people and talk about deep mysteries. And, you know, we also do these kinds of things in our Discord as well. which is like $ 5 a month to have access to our Discord. So there's multiple levels of community engagement where just if you want to support the show and hang out with us, talk to us, riff ideas with us, ask us questions, all that kind of thing, check out our Patreon. We also did just launch our
Speaker 2:YouTube memberships, which is the same concept, but it's on YouTube's page and it also has access to the Discord. So anyway, thank you very much for all of the above. Thank you for, even if you just watch the show and you click a like, or you subscribe, or even if you just, you know, watch and don't do any of that stuff. Thank you for all of it. Like literally at any level of engagement, we're very appreciative. If you want to help us, um, those are ways that you can, you know, keep the show going monetarily. But, um, you know, so anyway, also check us out, bledsoesetso.com. We did just put out this new knight t-shirt, which I'm very proud of. I very much like this one because of what it represents, which is the warrior and the monk.
Speaker 2:And you'll see the cool symbolism of like the sword, which we've talked about that before. It's like the sword and the chalice. There's a grail or a cup. It's a little below the frame, but there's a grail representing the holy grail and the sword, which are representative of the masculine and the feminine. And then the knight is holding in his, it's in his right hand, he's holding the rose, which is symbolic also of the feminine and the heart. So I love this sort of esoteric principle of knighthood, which is an aspirant who aspires to unite the ideals of a warrior and a monk in mind and body and spirit. Or we could say this, in other words, as masculine and feminine and one being, which is esoterically the view of realizing godhood on earth, having a connection to the divine as uniting these right and left aspects of our being into one, a logical masculine mind of discernment, uh, rational intellect, and also the, the right side of our brain. You could think about it like the feminine experiential, receptive, spiritual side of our nature.
Speaker 2:So when we unite these into one being, you know, we, we, we awaken. So anyway, love the shirt. Very proud of it. Check it out on bloodsetsetso.com. So, um, That was a mouthful. I'm out of breath. Jesus, man. You just let me keep going. So, I'm sorry, me lord. Ten lashings for the peasant. I'm just going to kind of get right into this one because I've really actually been excited to talk about this text. And I kind of mentioned last week that this is called the key. And in my mind, being someone who stays buried in initiatic traditions and studying sort of the different methodologies of awakening psychic perception and understanding this sort of realm of consciousness from the lens of the ancient mystery traditions who inherited this knowledge from the world before the flood and understanding how they operate to an extent from research and also talking with people who are genuinely involved with these real traditions that do still exist in the world today. I've come to understand that there is a method of deciphering these texts that takes a keen eye and understanding, and one of those things...
Speaker 2:is understanding that much of this material is presented to you in a way so that it will do certain things to your mind to unfold certain areas of perception. So they may describe the ineffable nature of God to you through a certain visual metaphor or allegory. So you'll see the image in your mind that will unlock certain levels of understanding at that narrative. Does that make sense? So, like, this is why a lot of these traditions do certain ritual. Ritual, like, you know, think about going to Mass. The whole thing is a ritual. Catholic Mass. You stand up, you sit down, you stand up, you sit down, you recite liturgical prayers.
Speaker 2:I'm not a big Mass guy.
Speaker 3:You forgot kneeling.
Speaker 2:Well, you explain it, because I'm both thinking about Mass.
Speaker 3:Well, you had it right.
Speaker 4:You stand up, you sit down, you kneel. You stand up, you sit down, you kneel. And it's the same structure every time. The readings are different. So then you'd have communion and then they basically wrap it up.
Speaker 2:And you go home. So understand that like maybe the priest there running a weekly mass isn't thinking we're going to do all these things to stimulate their psyche in a certain way. But this sort of technology, ritual technology, comes from a very ancient world that understood consciousness more than we do now. And they understood... That it's as within, so without. Your inner world and outer world are one and the same. As above, so below. As within, so without.
Speaker 2:And the whole, the macro is like the micro. It says it differently, but the macro is like the micro. They're one. Everything is one. So you understand when you do these certain practices, they do something penetrating to a deep layer of your psyche so that these things are ingrained in you and maybe you'll believe it more. It's like this. If you're trying to lucid dream, a trick that you can learn is putting like a black dot on your hand. And then you look at your hand every time you have the thought to do it, or you could set a timer, like once an hour or twice an hour or something like that. And you look at it and you say, I have a black dot on my hand. This means I'm awake. And you do this over and over and over and over to convince your psyche that even in the dream world, when you look at your hand, to do the reality check to see if there's a black dot. So there are ways that we can train our psyche to believe certain things that penetrates to a very deep level of perception in the subconscious, which I believe is kind of one in the same with the dream world, right? So anyway.
Speaker 4:It just makes me think I can go deeper on Catholic symbolism or maybe we could do an.
Speaker 3:Episode about it in the future.
Speaker 2:I'm totally... Not opposed to that. I just don't know much about the Catholic structure because I didn't grow up in that world.
Speaker 4:Right.
Speaker 3:And we don't talk about it a whole lot.
Speaker 2:You know what I want to do?
Speaker 3:Very different. We grew up very different church-wise.
Speaker 2:I want to look more into Mariology and the concealing of Mary as the divine feminine in the Catholic Because it's very clear that she's revered, but they don't come out and say, oh yeah, it's the divine feminine. It's the Holy Mother. They kind of obfuscate that.
Speaker 4:They go through many loopholes to get to the bottom line.
Speaker 3:But then I, you know.
Speaker 2:So I want to do that.
Speaker 4:We talk about it and it's so interesting because like, do you think that the person sitting in the pew praying the rosary to the Holy Mother is thinking about the loopholes about how you're venerating and not worshiping? No. No.
Speaker 2:They think Mary is the mediatrix, which is like, I've heard it said from lifelong, very devout Catholics that they were told their whole life, if you don't know, if you don't feel confident that your prayers are going to be heard by God or sent to God, then address them to Mary and she'll get them there. So even Catholics understand that Mary, the mother of God, is the one who receives our prayers and our offerings to God. But they don't exactly say, But by the way, she's the divine feminine. They split that part.
Speaker 3:Which, if you overlay that on the Gnostic model, is pretty on the nose.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I mean, it becomes very clear if you study this for five minutes and you know how to connect the dots that they did that intentionally to obfuscate it.
Speaker 1:Right.
Speaker 2:But keep her image. Because they can't completely destroy reality. The system would collapse. You can't remove the goddess.
Speaker 1:Right.
Speaker 2:She made this. She is a part of this. This is her world.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 4:Maybe I'll take you to church one day. I haven't been in a long time, but it makes me think of all of the incense that they burn and you walk in. And dude, there's a whole processional. There's a whole way to leave. You can't leave before the priest leaves. Um, you, when you walk in the church for the first time, you dip your hand in holy water and you, uh, you know, make the sign of the cross on yourself. So many things that like were just part of my life growing up that now I'm like, wow, this, I was partaking in a ritual.
Speaker 2:So I will say I've been to mass one time in Germany and the whole thing was in German and Latin. I had no clue what they were saying.
Speaker 3:That's cool though.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but I had no clue what they were saying. So I was just kind of twiddling my thumbs.
Speaker 3:But the thing is, is that's the same format.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:It's the same whether you go to.
Speaker 2:Church, Catholic Mass there.
Speaker 3:I just looked to the right.
Speaker 2:When they were kneeling, I was kneeling.
Speaker 1:Yep. Yep.
Speaker 3:Exactly. Why are we kneeling? No clue.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I just followed along.
Speaker 4:Yeah.
Speaker 2:No, it was cool. It was beautiful. They would sing and it would reverberate. It is a very cool experience, but I'm very glad that I grew up the way that I did. For many years, I was traumatized by the whole Pentecostal thing, but in my older life, I'm like 33 now. I'm sitting back. I'm thinking on my entire life. And my sister and I were talking about this last week. It's pretty crazy when you think about it that the Holy Spirit came to us and we grew up in the Christian denomination. And when I say Christian in this context, I mean non-Catholic, like Protestant is specifically what I mean. We grew up in the Protestant denomination that has like the strongest belief. In the Holy Spirit. Literally, Pentecostal means the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit descended upon the earth as a fire. Which is interesting because in this text, we're going to talk about fire as it pertains to the Spirit. And even in like Vedic, you could say Ayurveda, which is like the kind of the yogic science. You can think of the hasta mudras, which are the therapeutic mudras that stimulate certain nerve endings
Speaker 2:in the fingertips. The elements on the hands in the Eastern Vedic system correspond to, I mean, excuse me, the fingers correspond to elements. The thumb is fire, the divine. It's also Jupiter, which is like, you know, the chief supreme consciousness, the supreme being. And then the finger, I think, is air.
Speaker 1:Air.
Speaker 2:And then the middle finger is akasha or the realm of spirit. And then the ring finger is earth and the pinky is water. And the belief is that when you take the thumb, fire, the divine element, and when you, you know, they do all these different combinations of hand mudras, they're combining the elements. But it's also, there's a nerve ending thing. There's a scientific and a mystical philosophy overlaid over each other that something is happening within the body and the nervous system when we combine all these elements.
Speaker 2:fingers understood to be elements, right? So there's something to be said about the flame being representative of the spirit world. And when we think about fire in the alchemical tradition, which relates to the text we're going to read tonight, to bring it back to the subject that I'm about to get into, this is called the key. And I went into this whole rant about, you know, ritual and initiatic traditions and da-da-da-da-da, Because you have to understand that much of this information for thousands of years was orally transmitted from initiatic processes. People going through certain initiations and then being together in secret discussing these mysteries for the advancement of consciousness. And it was understood and transmitted orally so that when it was written, usually it was concealed through certain language that was symbolic. So when especially, you know, Christ was killed and then the Holy Roman Empire, eventually they changed their flag and they become the, well, they become the Holy Roman Empire, right? Because they were just the Roman Empire. They kill Christ. Then they change their
Speaker 2:flag a few hundred years later and they're like, these people paid taxes. They're good people. We should stop killing them. Let's legalize Christianity.
Speaker 1:Right?
Speaker 2:So the Edict of Milan was passed by Constantine, and I believe it was like 312 or 313 AD, right? And then 381 or 383 or something like that, Emperor Theodosius says, whoa, whoa, whoa, this should actually be the religion of our empire, Christianity. And then it turned into Rome's official religion was Christianity. And over time, of course, with all these different councils and all these different creeds, the Holy Roman Empire sprang forth and the Vatican and all that good stuff that caused, you know, the most brutal, devastating religious oppression in all of human history. And we're talking ancient history, right? It's like, I'm not, I'm not like throwing stones at anybody today, but this did really happen.
Speaker 2:And they killed millions of people in the name of Christ, the man that they actually killed. And, you know, so you could understand, you could sort of sympathize while Why in this era, in the dark ages, up through the medieval era, through the Renaissance era and the Enlightenment era, why much of this knowledge would be concealed orally through ritual initiatic processes and through allegory and symbolism to keep it alive so that it wouldn't be snuffed out by the freaking powers that be that would put a sword to your throat and say, do you confess Christ and, you know, kill you? Even though Christ would be like, whoa, whoa, whoa, don't kill people. you know, love your neighbor as you love yourself, right? So you could sort of sympathize why this knowledge has been so hard to track down because it was trying desperately to survive. So I believe that this text was called The Key because in this text, it contains various elements of generically what we understand today as the Western magical tradition or the Western esoteric tradition.
Speaker 2:When you think Eastern esoteric tradition, you think Tibetan Buddhism, you think Kashmir Shaivism, you think esoteric Tantra, okay? And then you have exoteric Tantra, you have the Vedic systems, you have Buddhism, etc. But then there's esoteric forms of Buddhism, right? And then in the West, you think religion. We have Judaism, Islam, Christianity, but then you have esoteric Western traditions, which is like the Egyptian mystery systems, the Orphic mysteries, the Rosicrucians, the Knights Templar, the Gnostics, The Persian Magi, the Mithraic priests, or we call the Magi of Zoroaster, the Sufis. You could say the Druids are lumped in with this because they were very much a part of this kind of transmission of knowledge. And if I missed any, whatever, there's plenty.
Speaker 2:But the point is, this text contains many diverse elements of the entire body of the Western esoteric tradition. So I find it very interesting. It starts off a little... ordinary compared to the first nine texts of the Corpus Hermeticum, but then somewhere about halfway and then through the rest of it, I think it just takes a hard shift and it gets profoundly interesting and starts to say different things. And I just find that very interesting because the Corpus Hermeticum itself is not ordinary, but even in this body of work, this text, to me, having read most of them at this point, it stands out. So I think when they called it the key Probably what they meant is this text contains the key to the inner knowledge of the tradition, the doctrine, the philosophy of what it all means, and sort of concealing all the elements of the tradition into one body. That's just my perspective. I don't know that for a fact, but I really do think that that's what they're getting at here, so I'm going to get into it.
Speaker 4:Hey everybody, this is Alex with Bledsoe Said So. If you've been following the show for a little while, you'd know that I just had a child, and this has been one of the most life-changing experiences that I've ever been through. However, it has made me way busier, and I'm sure many of you out there are parents, and many of you out there are busy. But just because you're busy, it doesn't mean that your spiritual exploration and your meditative practice has to suffer. That's why I'm so excited to tell you about the brand new offering from the Monroe Institute. If you go to monroeinstitute.org, you can access the Gateway Voyage online. And this is the complete Gateway program guided by Bob Monroe that you can take in the comfort of your own home at your own pace.
Speaker 4:And when you graduate, you get the certificate that everybody else that's been through Gateway gets. This is absolutely incredible because now your time is in your hands when it comes to the Monroe Institute. So if you go to the monroeinstitute.org, again, that's monroeinstitute.org, and use code BSS at checkout, you get an additional discount. monroeinstitute.org, use code BSS at checkout. So this is a continuation of the previous discourses. And I can't remember what that one was called. I think it was called On Thought and Sense, the ninth text.
Speaker 4:It was a few episodes ago. So this starts off with.
Speaker 2:Hermes, and he's giving a discourse to his disciple, Thot. So anyway, it starts off with Hermes. My yesterday's discourse, or logos, I did devote to the Asclepius. And so it's only right if I should devote today's to taught and this the more because it's the abridgment of the general logo I or sermons which he has addressed to him God father and the good then taught had the same nature or more exactly energy for nature is a predicate of growth and used of things that change both mobile and immobile and that is to say both human and divine each one of which he willeth into being But energy consists in something else, as we have shown in treating of the rest both things divine and human things.
Speaker 2:Which thing we ought to have in mind when treating of the good? Remember, in this context, and specifically in Greek language, when they say the good, that's basically another way of saying God. In Greek, they would write the good meaning God. God's energy is then His will. Further, His essence is to will the being of all things. For what is God and Father the good, but the to be of all that are not yet? Nay, subsistence self of everything that is, this then is God, this Father, this the good. To him is added nothing of all the rest. And though the cosmos, that is to say, the Son, is also sire himself to them that share in him, Yet so far is he not the cause of good unto the lives. He is not even of their living. So remember, in the previous text and in the one before that, it talks about how the cosmos is an emanation of the invisible God, the supreme mind that creates reality through thought. The sun is an emanation of that, and then we are an emanation of the cosmos.
Speaker 2:So it's saying, like, if you could conceive of this, the cosmos is kind of like your father, and it gives you will. I mean, it gives you life. But your mind, the invisible aspect of your nature, comes from the father of the cosmos, God, the supreme being. So you are like both. So it's saying here the cosmos, or rather the sun, is the physical thing that comes from God that sires physical life here. But even it does not give you the goodness of your life or your will. This comes from God. So they're telling you the fractal emanation of reality as above, so below, or you could say the principle of correspondence in the hermetic way of saying things that reality is completely. Like, you can think about this as the Fibonacci sequence, the golden ratio, phi, how it is an eternal spiral of existence up and down in every perception of direction of reality, that it's completely fractally emanating up and down forever and ever and ever.
Speaker 2:But God is at the very center of all of this, and it's all coming to and from God in this eternal cycle. See, the ancients had a cool little symbol with the serpent going around eating its tail forever and ever. Or rather, in Hinduism, they say the wheel of Samsara is the eternal circle of life. This is a cycle. It's an eternal cycle. Earth is this place where this happens forever and ever. Life begins and ends here and starts over. The people from before the last catastrophe that wiped out mankind gave this knowledge to early man. And you think about the story of Cain and Abel. It's like Cain kills his brother. And then God's like, all right, now you're marked. Go live in that city over there.
Speaker 2:It's like, who made the city? There's a city? I thought Cain was like the third person, you know? So there's just so much we don't know about the early nature of mankind. I think we talked about that last episode. But the people from before gave this knowledge to the early world. This fractal nature of beings. And, you know, I remember growing up and you see it in cartoons, you hear about it in school. It's like the primitive early people of Egypt were pagans and they worshiped the sun. And, you know, you have this icon in your head of like people bowing to the sun. It's like, no, they didn't.
Speaker 2:They had more knowledge about geometry, about stoneworking and masonry and the spirit world than we do now. They had way more knowledge. They were smarter than we are about these things. They were not dumb. They didn't need to do things up until a certain point they did when there was a split. You know, you think of the story of the Tower of Babel. There was a split in human consciousness where we became fractured in our understanding of one another and various languages had to be formed.
Speaker 2:But before this point, in the world before, which we could think of as Atlantis, I believe... And we're seeing this now with these beautiful little autistic children running around at conferences and they're having telepathic conversations and they're going on podcasts and documentaries being made about them and they're displaying without a shadow of a doubt that they are telepathic. I believe that this is a part of our natural design that in the world before the flood, or maybe it was the ice age or whatever, mankind was telepathic.
Speaker 2:I know that this is a real phenomenon because I have experienced this when communicating with orbs in the night sky. I have heard things from them. My father taught me this. You can go outside, you can think a thought to the sky, and boom, a being of light appears. That is a miracle. But not only is that a miracle, it is a telepathic communication. So I know this is real. I do believe that in the world before, they communicated through thought. And then you have this myth of the Tower of Babel. We split, and over time we became dumber, and we became fractured and separate from one another. And we lost our knowledge of, you know, the universe of God, the spirit world, our magical, you could say our magical powers as psychic beings who come from the one God.
Speaker 2:And now here we are, we're questioning what's the meaning of life. I don't know. I need a scientist to tell me. Does God exist? I don't know. Tell me. Tell me. Prove it to me.
Speaker 1:I don't know.
Speaker 2:You know, so we're way dumber now than we were then. Anyway, let me get back to this. So that even if he be a sire, talking about the son, right? The son is the sire to life on earth. So that even if he be a sire, he is entirely so by the compulsion of the good's goodwill, or God's goodwill, apart from which nor being nor becoming could ever be. Again, the parent is the children's cause, both on the father's and the mother's side. Divine masculine, divine feminine. Remember, this is the key to all of the knowledge. Only by sharing in God's desire that does pour through the sun, it is God which does the creating. And such a power can be possessed by no one else than him alone who takes nothing, but wills all things to be.
Speaker 2:I will not taught, say makes. So God, through a thought, will, creates. When you create a life as a physical being, you take, when, when you, or you are, it is, something is taken from you. When a woman is gestating a baby in her womb for nine months, resources are being taken from her, right? And she is taking as in needing to eat, needing to do all these extra things to get her energy back up. There's a depletion that naturally happens when we create anything. If I go and I build a house, like I expend materials, I take materials and I build, if you think about this in a very simple terminology.
Speaker 2:But the point here is God is infinite. God takes nothing. God doesn't make. God wills a thing into being and it forms, right? God thinks reality into being and needs nothing. God is indivisible and ineffable, okay? For that the maker is defective for long periods in which he sometimes makes and sometimes does not make, both in the quality and in the quantity of what he makes, and that he sometimes makes so many and such like and sometimes the reverse.
Speaker 2:But God and Father and the good is cause for all to be, so are at least these things for who can see. For it does will to be, and it is both itself and most of all reason of itself. Indeed, all other things beside are just because of it. For the distinctive feature of the good is that it should be known. Such is the good, O taught. And then taught says, Thou hast, O Father, filled us so full of this so good and fairest sight that thereby my mind's eye hath now become for me almost a thing to worship. My third eye is opening. Remember I said that in these initiatic traditions they will explain a certain thing or show you symbols and then explain the symbols because it penetrates layers of the psyche that unfold your awareness of the multidimensional nature of reality. That is a fact.
Speaker 2:That is absolutely a fact. That they are... exposing you to certain concepts that unfold your mind's eye view of the big picture. You can read Vedic texts. You can read Tantric texts. And in my experience, just reading just a little bit, they are written like a blueprint for understanding the multidimensional nature of God, the Supreme Being. And how reality comes into being through sound, frequency, vibration, whatever. Because they are unfolding this picture in your mind. Because your mind is the truth of your being. Your mind.
Speaker 2:is the being right this body is just a vehicle it's just holding something divine right so anyway he says you know let me get back to where I was he says for my mind's eye hath now become almost a thing for me to worship for that the vision of the good does not like the sun's beam Fire-like blaze on the eyes and make them close. Nay, on the contrary, it shines forth and makes to increase the seeing of the eye as far as ever a man has the capacity to hold the inflow of the radiance that the mind alone can see. Not only does it come more swiftly down to us, but it does us no harm in his instinct with.
Speaker 3:All immortal life.
Speaker 2:They who are able to drink and somewhat more than others of this sight, sometimes called second sight, right?
Speaker 3:Clairvoyance.
Speaker 2:Oft times from out of the body fall asleep into this fairest spectacle, as was the case with Uranus and Cronus, our forebears. May this be our lot too, O father of mine. And Hermes says, yea, may it be, my son. But as it is, we are not yet strung to the vision, and not as yet have we the power of our mind's eye to unfold and gaze upon the beauty of the good, or God. Beauty that never can ever corrupt or any comprehend. For only then will thou gaze upon it, gaze when thou can say no word concerning it. For gnosis of the good is holy silence and a giving holiday to every sense. So in other words, when you retreat into the stillness of your mind's eye or your witness consciousness, what you see is this triangle with the eye in the middle. It's witness consciousness. It is the eye that exists between your states of awareness.
Speaker 2:It's the eye of God. It is the supreme observer that views every strata of reality, including your thoughts, your dreams, your judgments, your wishes, your motivations. This ultimate consciousness that is observing everything. is a part of your being because it's where you come from. You are the one who sees and observes and creates reality. You're co-creating with God. You're like rendering bits of this world through your first person perspective for God. We're all rendering a collective picture here through the eyes of many different observers, but we all come from one source. So he's saying when you give holiday, or we could also understand that to say a break or a vacation, when your senses go quiet and you retreat inward to the state of witness consciousness, only then can you have gnosis of God. So you're telling me that in ancient Egypt, they would reach altered states of consciousness through meditation to have visions of God?
Speaker 2:That's interesting because I thought they only did that in the East. And guess what? The Gnostics were doing it. The Gnostic Christians. Guess what? The Knights Templar were doing it. And the Sufis with their whirling dervish dances. And the Rosicrucians. Turns out that's what the whole thing is all about. That it's about awakening the psychic faculties of the human being through experience of the divine and realizing our true nature as God having experience as man. So we live godly lives right living, aspiring to be better, to live in a Christ-like vibration. You could argue that's anachronistic. Christ only lived 2,000 years ago. How would they have that belief thousands of years ago in Egypt? Why do you think God sent a man such as Christ to show people what this means? Because this has been the belief the whole time, that you have to be an exemplar of holiness, of righteousness, of you know, the divine. You have to live in a certain vibration to unfold these faculties within your being to be a portal for God to exist on earth, to become enlightened, to awake, or in the East, they would say to become a Buddha
Speaker 2:or become like Amitabha, right? So it's Christ-like consciousness, but also to unfold, you know, and there's, it's more than just, you know, being kind, be loving. But there's things that they do in these traits, certain modes of altered perception, such as meditative practices and things like that, to pull in the awareness from the sensations of the body to have a profound revelation of the divine. That's why much of the Nag Hammadi library, we read a few texts like Zostrianos, Like the stranger, it's people describing having experiences, and there was one earlier in the Corpus Hermeticum, I can't remember which one because it's been weeks back, where they describe retreating from the sense of their body and going into a profoundly deep state and then having a vision of God. I think that was the divine pie mender, where he's like, it was like being in a dream, and then boom, he speaks to God. So through meditation, we can experience the divine, right? We can go out of body. Magic can happen. Oh, guess what? By the way, now they remote view. I don't know if you guys heard that one, but the military actually remote views and
Speaker 2:does crazy stuff like that through meditation. So it's pretty profound.
Speaker 4:I mean, there's a declassified document of them remote viewing Mars in 1984.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and of course I know that. I'm being facetious when I say, oh, I don't know if you heard about that. But the point is like this is obvious that through our mind we can do magic because we are from God. We are divine beings. We can't get around this. Like the toothpaste is coming out of the tube. And we're very magical beings. So anyway, gnosis of the good is holy silence and giving holiday to every sense. For neither can he who perceiveth it perceive aught else, nor he who gazeth on it gaze on aught else, nor hear aught else, nor stir his body in any way.
Speaker 2:Staying his body's every sense and every motion, he stayeth still. And shining then all round his mind, it shines through his whole soul and draws it out of body, transforming all of him to essence. So when you gaze upon God, Goodness, God, when you have a profound revelation of God and orient your gaze of your inner eye towards God, it transforms your being is the point. This is gnosis. This is the esoteric view that you are awakening to a higher level of being, that you are inviting a force. It said it in one of the earlier texts, like when you seek gnosis of the good, it draweth your mind towards God like a magnet draweth iron, that you are inviting in a holy force. that will purify you. It will propel you towards being a better man, towards being like, I think, and I think the Apostle Paul said, like a godly man, to be like a godly man. You know, you're supposed to want to be like a godly man.
Speaker 2:Or the knights, you know, they're aspiring to be a knight. A knight is a very honorable title. It's a chivalrous warrior who has spiritual ideals and vows to protect the weak and the innocent. to do no harm I mean of course they you know they would fight to the death and there were bad nights but the whole point of it is like to protect the innocent and defend the weak and the innocent you know what I mean and of course there were non-spiritual nights that exists you know nothing is that black and white but ideally aspirationally that's what it meant like at the big picture was was to achieve a certain status of warrior that holds certain principles you know aspiration. So anyway, let me keep going.
Speaker 2:For it is possible, my son, that a man's soul should be made to be like God, even while it is in a body, if it does contemplate the beauty of the good. And then Tot says, made like to God, what do you mean, father? Then Hermes says, of every soul apart are transformations, son. And then Tot says, what meanest thou apart? And Hermes says, Did thou not in the general sermons hear that from one soul, the all soul, come all of these souls which are made to revolve in all the cosmos as though divided off? Of these souls, then, it is that there are many changes, some to a happier lot, some just to the contrary of this. Thus some that were once creeping things change into things that in the water dwell. The souls of water things change to earth dwellers. Those that live on the earth change into things with wings, and souls that live in the air change into men. While human souls reach the first step of deathlessness, changed into daemons. And so they circle to the choir of the inerrant gods, for the gods there are two choirs, and the one inerrant and the other errant. And this is the most perfect glory of
Speaker 2:the soul. But if a soul on entering the body of a man persisteth in its vice, it neither tasteth deathlessness nor shareth in the good. But speeding back again, it turns into the path that leads to death. This is the sentence of the vicious soul. And the soul's vice is ignorance. This wretched soul, not knowing what she is, becomes the slave of bodies of strange form and sorry plight. Bearing the body as a load, not as the ruler, but the ruled, this ignorance is the soul's vice. But on the other hand, the virtue of the soul is gnosis.
Speaker 2:For he who knows, he good and pious is, and still while on the earth, divine. So when you awaken beyond your limits, animal nature of a physical body that is a slave to pleasure and passions and sensations. When you awaken and transcend your consciousness past these vices and addictions, or in Buddhism they say attachment is suffering, craving is suffering, right? When you awaken past this and begin to develop a level of self-mastery and discipline over the body, that's the masculine, but then feminine is receiving the spiritual nature of the cosmos and of ourselves and of the universe, experiencing the invisible nature of reality, when we unite these two aspects of our consciousness, have discipline and mastery, but also are spiritual, or rather are a warrior and a monk, in some terminology, then we're not ruled by the body anymore, but we are rulers. Or like it said, we are God on earth now. We're pious. Interesting. While still on the earth, we are divine. If we, through the virtue of the soul, achieve gnosis of this spiritual law that is just from its reality, you know, it's just the truth, you know.
Speaker 2:People are like, well, I don't like God because a Christian offended me. Well, I'm sorry, but there are rules that exist, and it's just.
Speaker 3:The way it is.
Speaker 2:There's a cause for everything. But who is such a one, O Father of mine? He who does not say much or lend his ear too much. For he who spends time in arguing and hearing arguments does shadow fight. For God, the Father in the good, is not to be obtained by speech or hearing, And yet, though this is so, there are in all the beings senses, and that they cannot without senses be. But gnosis is far different from sense, for sense is brought about by that which has mastery over us, while gnosis is the end of science, and science is God's gift. All science is incorporeal, the instrument it uses being the mind, just as the mind employs the body. but then come into bodies. Both then come into bodies. I mean both things that are cognizable by mind alone and things material. For all things must exist out of antithesis and contrariety, and this can otherwise not be.
Speaker 2:So there has to be a paradox, right? There has to be a paradox of things that are materially true and then things that transcend materiality and can't be proven, but we have to experience them through the mind. That's what he's saying here. Both have to be true. We do live in a duality. It's a paradox. Who then is this material God of whom thou speakest? Cosmos is beautiful, but it is not good, for that it is material and freely passable. And though it is the first of all things passable, yet is it in the second rank of being and wanting in itself. And though it never has in itself its birth in time, but ever is, yet is its being in becoming, becoming for all time the genesis of qualities and quantities, for it is mobile and all material motions genesis.
Speaker 1:Wow. Wow.
Speaker 2:It is intelligible rest that moves material motion in this way, since cosmos is a sphere, that is to say, a head, and not of head above's material, as not a feet below's intelligible, but all material. I don't even know what to do with that bit, to be honest. and head itself moved in a sphere-like way, that is to say, as head should move is mind. And then all then that are united to the tissue of this head, and which is soul, are in their nature free from death, just as when body hath been made in soul, all things that have more soul than body. Whereas those things which are at greater distance from this tissue, there where are things which have a greater share of body than soul, are by their nature subject unto death. The whole, however, is a life so that the universe consists of both the heilic and of the intelligible. What does intelligible mean?
Speaker 2:Let's look that up. It means comprehensible. Interesting. To be able to be understood, comprehensible. The heilic, if you remember in Gnostic terms, is the person who is completely devoid of spiritual thought or being. They are completely non-psychic. They're not awake. They're completely... physical. They're like NPCs, basically. They're the sheep who just conform to the material world. They don't think out of the box. They don't expand to understand, you know, the big picture of reality from spiritual law, which is the true nature of our origin. And then it says, again, the cosmos is the first of living things, while man is second after it, though first of things subject to death. Man hath the same ensouling power in him as the rest of all living things, yet he is not only not good, but even evil, for that he's subject unto death. For though the cosmos also is not good in that it suffers motion, it is not evil in that it is not subject unto death. But man, in that he's subject both to motion and to death, is evil. Now then, the principles of man are this wise, vehicled, mind in the reason, logos, The reason in the soul,
Speaker 2:soul in the spirit, and spirit in the body. Spirit pervading body by means of veins and arteries and blood bestows upon the living creature motion and as it were doth bear it in a way. For this cause some do think the soul is blood. and that they do mistake its nature, not knowing that at death it is the spirit that first must withdraw into the soul, whereon the blood congeals and veins and arteries are emptied, and then the living creature is withdrawn, and this is body's death.
Speaker 2:Now from one source all things depend, while source dependeth from the one and only one. Source is, moreover, moved to become source again, whereas the one standeth perpetually and is not moved. Three then are they, God, the Father, and the Good, Cosmos, and Man. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. There's always a triune nature of being. You know, it's always this way. This is how reality works. God doth contain Cosmos. Cosmos containeth Man. Cosmos is ever God's Son, Man as it were Cosmos' child. Not that, however, God ignoreth man, nay, right well does he know him and willeth to be known. God wills that man, this low-level being, would know the supreme being, the ineffable being.
Speaker 2:This is a part of our journey. Being as low as we are on the totem pole to know the highest being. It is a very part of our nature and this whole experience here. is to achieve this gnosis and wake up to the Supreme Being, to God. God willeth to be known by man. This is the sole salvation for a man, God's gnosis. This is the way up to the mount. By him alone the soul becomes good. Not wiles is good, wiles is evil, but good out of necessity. What do you mean, thrice greatest one? Behold an infant soul, my son, that is not yet cut off, because its body is still small and not as yet come into its full bulk. Todd says, How? A thing of beauty altogether is such a soul to see, not yet befouled by body's passions, still all but hanging from the cosmic soul. But when the body grows in bulk and draweth down the soul into its mass... Then doth the soul cut off itself and bring upon its forgetfulness, and no more shareth in the beautiful and good, and this forgetfulness becomes vice. It is the same for them who go out from the body. For when the soul withdraws into itself, the spirit contracts itself within the blood
Speaker 2:and the soul within the spirit, and then the mind, stripped of its wrappings and naturally divine, taking unto itself a fiery body, doth traverse every space ever. after abandoning the soul unto its judgment and whatever chastisement it hath deserved what do you mean by this father the mind is parted from the soul and the soul from spirit whereas thou said the soul was the mind's vesture and the soul's the spirit Hermes says the hearer son should think with him who speaks and breathe with him nay.
Speaker 2:He should have a hearing subtler than the voice of him who speaks. It is, son, in a body made of earth that this arrangement of the vestures comes to pass. For in a body made of earth it is impossible that the mind should take its seat itself by its own self and nakedness. For neither it is possible on one hand the earthy body should contain such immortality nor on the other hand that so great a virtue should endure a body passable in such close contact with it, it taketh then the soul for as it were an envelope.
Speaker 2:And soul itself, being too thing a divine, does use the spirit as its envelope, while spirit does pervade the living creature. When the mind does free itself from the earth body, it straightaway puts on its proper robe of fire, For mind, the swiftest thing of all divine outthinkings, and swifter than all elements, have for its body fire. For mind being builder, does use the fire as tool for the construction of all things, the mind of all for the construction of all things, but that of man only for things on earth. Stripped of its fire, the mind on earth cannot make things divine, for it is human in its dispensation. The soul in man, however, not every soul, but the one that pious is, is a daemonic, something in divine. I want to clarify here that this is the Greek word of daimon, d-a-i-m-o-n. This is not referring to a biblical demon. In the Greek understanding, this is a higher dimensional entity. It could be an angel. They're just classifying that it is a type of being that is metaphysical, that is spiritual. And they conceive of daemons as good or evil, depending on the context and all that.
Speaker 2:So it's saying that basically you'll be like an angel, right, when they say daemon in the Greek. So it's saying the soul in man, however, not every soul, but one that is pious, essentially, if you understand that translation, is an angel, something in divine, but it says a daemon, right? In such a soul, when from the body freed, if it have fought the fight of piety, or you could say devotion to God, you know, virtue, self-mastery, Christ-like principles, the fight of piety is to know God and to do no wrong to man. Such soul becomes entirely mind.
Speaker 2:Whereas the impious soul remains in its own essence, chastised by its own self, and seeking for an earthly body where to enter, if only it be human. For that no other body can contain a human soul, nor is it right that any human soul should fall into the body of a thing that does possess no reason. For that the law of God is this, to guard the human soul from such a tremendous outrage. How, Father, then is a man's soul chastised? What greater chastisement of any human soul can there be, son, than lack of piety?
Speaker 2:What fire has so fierce flame as lack of piety? What ravenous beast so mauls the body as lack of piety the very soul? Dost thou not see what host of ills the impious soul does bear? It shrieks and screams, I burn, I am ablaze, I know not what to cry or do. Ah, wretched me, I am devoured by all the ills that compass me about. Alack, poor me, I neither see nor hear. Such are the cries wrung from a soul chastised, not as the many think, and thou, son, dost suppose, that a man's soul passing from body is changed into a beast. Such is a very grave mistake for the way that a soul does suffer chastisement is this.
Speaker 2:When mind becomes a daemon or an angelic entity, a spiritual being, the law requires that it should take a fiery body to execute the services of God. And entering in the soul most impious, it scourgeth it with whips made of its sins. And then the impious soul, scourged with its sins, is plunged in murders, outrage, blasphemy, and violence of all kinds, and all the other things whereby mankind is wronged. But on the pious soul, the mind doth mount and guide it to the gnosis light. And such a soul doth never tire in songs of praise to God and pouring blessing on all men and doing good in word and deed to all in imitation of its sire. Wherefore, my son, thou should give praise to God and pray that thou may have thy mind good mind.
Speaker 2:It is then to a better state the soul does pass and cannot to a worse. All right, I want to take a quick pause there. That sounds to me very much like the Tibetan Book of the Dead. If I go back a little bit, so hold on, let me stop for a while. It cannot pass to it worse. I want to highlight that. So it's talking about when the pious person dies, right? their mind takes upon a robe of flame, which they say is the element of the divine world, the mind. It's like a fire, and that's not hard to believe. The story of the Pentecost, a flame comes down, I mentioned this earlier and didn't get back to it, but in alchemy you have the element of fire that ignites the lead into gold. The fire is to be understood as the spirit of the divine holy world that through trauma initiates you to a higher form of awakened being as a godly man through trauma, through the mystery, and the journey of life. It's fire.
Speaker 2:They also call this holy fire in the alchemical terms through the Renaissance and Enlightenment era azoth. And you can see a very famous drawing. I can't remember the alchemist on top of my head. I don't know if it was Paracelsus. I don't think so. But you could look this up really quick too. And it's just a dude standing with a sword and down the blade of the sword. It says A-Z-O-T-H, Azoth. And I think there's like some sort of special gem in the hilt. And he's showing you through the process of a solar initiation, awakening to this higher Christ-like consciousness of being. And through Azoth, the spiritual flame that has purified him, he's become a master of his vessel, the sword, you know, the masculine, the discipline, the reason. He has, you know, through this sword, through this holy power, and Azoth, this holy flaming spirit, you know, spirit of flame, he has purified his worldly desires. Did you find it with the sword?
Speaker 3:Paracelsus.
Speaker 2:Is it Paracelsus?
Speaker 4:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Oh, there you go.
Speaker 3:And on the hilt, it says Azoth.
Speaker 2:Yeah, Paracelsus is amazing because he was like probably the most famous alchemist of all time. He's incredible. I thought, I think I just said, I think it was Paracelsus. I'm not sure, but he's awesome because I remember being in 11th grade chemistry and they're like, you know, the origins of chemistry, the dummies a few hundred years ago thought they could turn lead into gold with potions. And it's like, that's not the case at all. If you read the writings of the actual alchemists like Paracelsus, They straight up tell you this is not about potions. This is not about literally transforming metals. It's all allegory for the transformation of the soul concealed through symbolism, high-level spiritual principles.
Speaker 2:It's the Gnostic tradition. It's the Hermetic tradition. It's the Atlantean tradition. They're just transmitting it in a different era where the church was killing people if they had alternative beliefs to the Nicene Creed and all of these other versions of their Holy Roman tradition. corporate empire that says, you know, confess Christ, it will literally kill you, which doesn't make sense. Because Christ was, you know, this loving, kind, God-like being that, you know, didn't want to kill people.
Speaker 2:So scratch my head on that one, right? But anyway, so fire. So back to this Tibetan Book of the Dead example. So this sounds to me like the Tibetan Book of the Dead. They're saying a pious soul who is virtuous and achieves the divine light of the gnosis of God and just lives a good life and seek of this ineffable Holy Spirit. When you die, you become pure mind. And it says that you can transverse all realities. And you take a robe of flame and you become like an angel. Or in this Greek context, it says daemon.
Speaker 2:You become like an angelic being enclosed in flame. And you can come here and you can help people. That sounds a lot like orbs. That sounds a lot like glowing luminous beings of plasma that come from a higher world and help guide us on our mystical journey of awakening here in a dark world where we're you know, fooled by these material, uh, I don't know if I want to say Satanists, but you know, bad people here, people that, people that are fooling us and, and, and getting us to be very terrified to look up to the heavens. Don't go, don't go connect. Don't go connect.
Speaker 4:It's scary.
Speaker 2:It's a nuclear, it's a, it's a, it's a, uh, a national security threat. They jam nuclear sites and they do all kinds of horrible stuff. And we have 25 craft, but we're never going to show you, you know, they're, they're doing everything they can to fool you into convince you, you know, to not connect with the light. It's the modern war on terror. So it's very interesting when you read this ancient Egyptian writing, it talks about, and it's like, dude, why would the Tibetan book of the dead? Remember what it said? It said that when you die, you go through three levels of bardo. And every levels of bardo in these transitional states between death and then return to life.
Speaker 2:And even in life, you have three other levels of bardo, which are entering into a body of an infant consciousness up until when your consciousness forms as a child. It just mentioned that too, didn't it? And mentioned how when you're a baby, you're still connected to the astral world. And then as the body gains its bulk, the mind begins to separate from that source of spiritual consciousness, and then it takes on this process of amnesia, which is the ignorance of the material world, and it's our vice.
Speaker 2:So that's Bardo, number one. It's in both traditions, in the Western alchemical, magical, you know, whatever hermetic mystery tradition, and in the Tibetan Book of the Dead, which my friends in the Knights Templar told me was... one of the most profound spiritual books ever written and contains so much truth. They're saying that when you die, if you were good, if you, through life, sought enlightenment of being a higher godlike being in this dark, scary world, That upon death, you have the opportunity to awaken and become transcendent mind that can see through the illusion of this reality and therefore ascend to higher worlds. Okay? So when you die, you're tested. You're shown certain things. And then if you're basically enlightened or you're on the path of enlightenment, you have the opportunity to break through what is presented to you and become pure mind, become pure consciousness. And you're free. You go wherever you want. You go to heaven.
Speaker 2:You go whatever. You go check on your relatives. Go to higher levels. You could become an angel. But if you're not pious, again, true in this text, what we just read, and true in the Tibetan Book of the Dead, You're tested by dark, scary things. In the Tibetan Book of the Dead, it says you're shown demons. You're shown monsters. And you're like, ah, and you're still stuck in the illusion. And you are presented with karma of the things that you did bad in life, which it just said here too.
Speaker 2:You're presented to, you know, you're chastised by your own self. And you're shown things like, you know, murder and, you know, all these sins that were done upon life. And you return to a body. So if you're a bad person, you do not escape the cycle of reincarnation. I almost said reincarnation. Reincarnation, you keep coming back. You just keep coming back. You experience terror in that out-of-body state because you have your past life review. You're shown things. You do not awaken. You do not collect. $ 200 because you did not pass go and then you return to earth and you seek to reincarnate back into a body and then you do it all over again forever and ever and ever and ever and the serpent keeps chasing its tail and the cycle of samsara just keeps spinning like a hamster on a wheel until you finally wake up and you realize oh my god I'm god on earth I'm literally the supreme being reflected into an individual little person who's just you know I have had a hard time here and realized that, you know, nothing I'm doing here works. And this world sucks. And there's a lot of beauty in it and there's good people, but ultimately
Speaker 2:it kind of sucks. The system that's, you know, we're kind of forced to deal with here. And there's something better. So I want to live my life here that reflects that world there so that because we understand multidimensional nature of consciousness, my being here, my little earth guy here, or gal, is phasing the consciousness of my higher being there into this body. Does that make sense? So that I'm vibrating higher and higher and higher so that upon death, I have the escape velocity to go somewhere better than here and I don't have to come back. So by living a godlike life to the best of my ability, even though I'm a screw-up, You know, I make, I get angry and stuff like that, but I'm trying. That's the point. You are phasing your mind on the coordinates of Christ, of, of this aspirational, amazing, God-like, you know, consciousness.
Speaker 2:So if you shoot for, you know, the moon, maybe you'll, what's the phrase go? You shoot for the stars. Maybe you'll land on the moon or whatever. It's like, you're going to go somewhere. You're, you know what I mean? You're trying your best. That's what matters. You're getting up and you just keep going and you realize, I want to be better. I want to do good to others in this world. We're all suffering here. We all come from the same place. We all came here for the same reason. We have different circumstances. I don't know why it's above my pay grade, but I don't need to know.
Speaker 2:I'm going to do the best with what I got. I'm going to be good to people and I'm not going to be judgmental to them to the best of my ability, even though I'm human and I mess up. And, you know, And it's not for reward either. It's having this ultimate realization. Oh my God, I can lock my mind on the frequency of that divine consciousness. And if I play my cards right and develop my being to a new level, maybe I'm reflecting more of that divine world here on earth. And just perhaps that is the grand intent of these esoteric traditions all along, of many of these traditions, such as the Rosicrucians, such as the Knights Templar, people like the Monroe Institute. They're like, you go to their website, you read the mission. It's like, we want to advance global human consciousness. We want to help as many people as possible. They want to have 80 million people go through experiences of expanded consciousness, because the idea is like the more people on earth, the little nodes of light that we turn on, the more of that divine world shines into this reality and makes change here. So it's not just about having a reward
Speaker 2:upon death. That's the icing on top. The real work is realizing, oh my God, I can make change here for everyone around me by bringing that divine into this vessel. So now the true esoteric work begins when you understand what alchemy is really about, when you understand what the esoteric tradition is about. I am forging this vessel to be a portal for divine consciousness to operate in this world so that it can make change. I am inviting God to operate through me, the Holy Spirit to operate through me. To help others. That's the key to all of this. It's about awakening to be a higher being.
Speaker 2:A divine being. Anyway, that's a big tangent.
Speaker 3:I'm sorry.
Speaker 2:Do you have any thoughts on all of this? I don't think you've spoken once, Alex.
Speaker 3:Not since you started reading, no.
Speaker 2:You're a funny guy. I'm going to keep you. But pretty cool how that relates to the Tibetan Book of the Dead, right? And this was written almost a thousand years before that. It was like, you know, the Tibetan Book of the Dead is so great, and it is, but it's like, read this one. This one's even older, and it's saying some of the same stuff about, like, when you die. That was pretty cool, right? Like, when you die, if you're pious, you become pure mind, and you can transcend worlds. But if you're not pious, you keep coming back. That's pretty profound. And when you see these blatant, The similarities between, you know, Egypt and the far eastern mystical traditions of Tibet and Nepal and, you know, Kashmir and all these like really ancient super secret tantric philosophies.
Speaker 2:When they're so similar like that, it's like, come on, dude. What are the odds really that they got together, you know, thousands of years ago and they were like, let's come up with the same system. No, the reality is these people are telling you that they would have gnosis of God when they would meditate on the divine and they would be given this knowledge through revelatory experience. Or in the East, they say things like samadhi, the breathless state, when they do certain tantric practices. So they were given this knowledge from a higher world. That's why it's the same.
Speaker 2:And there's the other possibility, and I think both are true. That in the very way ancient past, at the time just after the flood or the ice age or whatever cataclysm that devastated the world, the precursor version of man that we are now, that existed at that point post-flood, they were given this knowledge by the ones who came before. They were given... this spiritual tradition. This knowledge. And you can see myths from all around the ancient world. Such as Hermes Trismegistus. Such as Oannes from Sumer. This being who comes from the sea. Half man half fish. Such as.
Speaker 2:Kukulkan or Quetzalcoatl in Mexico, there are all these stories of these ancient cultures around the world telling you about this knowledge being given to mankind.
Speaker 4:I like how you kind of geared up to ask me a question there and then kept going and pretty much answered it.
Speaker 3:I did?
Speaker 4:Yeah.
Speaker 2:What was the question?
Speaker 3:Well, you were like, it's pretty cool, isn't it? And then you never stopped.
Speaker 2:It was rhetorical.
Speaker 4:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2:It was rhetorical. All right, let me keep going. The last thing I said was, it is then to a better state that the soul does pass. It cannot to a worse. So in this understanding, though, Every incarnation, you get slightly better on the level of spiritual development. You don't reincarnate backwards. You're constantly evolving higher. Even if you're like a piece of crap in this life, it does in the big scheme of things serve a purpose. And you come back to the next one and you've made some progress from the previous one and you pick up.
Speaker 3:There spiritually, at least spiritually.
Speaker 2:All right. So you're constantly evolving upwards. The Theosophists have the same idea, the Rosicrucians. This is just like the understanding that they've come to have through this esoteric Western tradition, is that you're constantly evolving upwards. And it says, further, there is an intercourse of souls. Those of the gods have intercourse with those of men, and those of men with souls of creatures which possess no reason. The higher, further, have in charge the lower. The gods look after men, men after animals irrational, while God hath charge of all, for he is higher than them all, and all are less than he. Cosmos is subject then to God, man to cosmos, and irrationals to man. But God is over them all, and God contains them all. God's rays, to use a figure, are his energies. The cosmos's are nature's.
Speaker 2:the arts and sciences are man's. So in the same way that cosmos creates nature and God creates cosmos through his rays of will, mankind using his godlike creation is like the arts and sciences. So in the same way God created the universe, we create art. So you think about that, there's so much life in a good story. There's so much deep level of allegory and meaning of higher spiritual concepts. The energies act through the cosmos, thence through the nature rays of cosmos upon man. The nature rays act through the elements. Man acteth through the sciences and arts. This is the dispensation of the universe, depending from the nature of the one, pervading all things through the mind, than which is not diviner of great energy, and not a greater means for the at-one-ing of men to gods and gods to men. It says atoning, but it's like at winning. He, mind, is the good daemon.
Speaker 2:Blessed the soul that is most filled with him, and wretched is the soul that is empty of the mind. Father, what do you mean again? Hermes says, do you think, son, that every soul has the good mind of God? For it is of him we speak, not of the mind in service of which we were just speaking. the mind sent down for the soul's chastisement. For soul without the mind can neither speak nor act. For oftentimes the mind does leave the soul, and at times the soul nor sees nor understands, but it is just like a thing that has no reason, such is the power of mind.
Speaker 2:Yet it does not endure a sluggish soul, but leaveth such a soul tied to the body and bound down tight by it. Such soul, my son, does not have mind, and therefore such a one should not be called a man. For that man is a thing of life divine. Man is not measured with the rest of lives of things upon the earth, but with the lives above in heaven who are called gods. Nay, more, if we must boldly speak the truth, the true man is even higher than the gods, or at the very least the gods and men are every wit and power with each other equal.
Speaker 2:For no one of the gods in heaven shall come down on the earth, overstepping heaven's limit, whereas man does mount up to heaven and measure it. He knows what things of it are high, what things are low, and learns precisely all things else besides. And greater thing than all, without even quitting earth, he does ascend above. So vast a sweep does he possess of ecstasy. For this cause can a man dare say that man on earth is God subject to death, while God in heaven is man from death immune? Wherefore the dispensation of all things is brought about by means of these, the twain, cosmos and man, but by the one. Could you see how that text profoundly elaborated on all seven hermetic principles? It talked about everything.
Speaker 2:It talked about the mind being the nature of the universe, the emanation of reality. Cosmos is the father of man. God is the father of cosmos. It's fractal emanation. It talked about the polarity of reality, the contrariety between science being aspects of the mind, but also material things, but then things beyond material that can't be proven through science and only can be experienced by the mind. So we're talking duality. It talked about vibration at the part where it said that the universe is basically life in perpetual motion.
Speaker 2:And it talked about, you know, which I think that was vibration. It talked about gender, that it was the principle of gender, rather, that it was mother and father that creates life. It talked about cause and effect. For God is the prime cause of all things and beings. It talked about that I hit all seven laws. The one I can't quite comprehend is rhythm, the rhythm of the universe. I'm sure it's in there somewhere if I look for it through that lens, but it seemed to contain the majority of the elements of the doctrine of the Western esoteric tradition. through the lens of hermetic initiates at that time in egypt which was dominated by greece and written in greek language on papyri so that is it's a very fascinating text i loved the bit that had a very strong correlation to the tibetan book of the dead that talked about like when you die if you're pious and you see the light of god's divine gnosis that you become pure mind Your mind becomes like a flame of the spirit and it can traverse worlds at will and you're free to go where you want to go. You can enter the world and help people and then it's like, you know, enlightenment, right? And then
Speaker 2:it's like, but if you're not pious, you'll, you know, you'll be chastised for a while because the flame of the divine mind will basically enter you and then you'll suffer because you're not at the certain point where you're able to hold this divine power. You'll see the crimes of, you know, all of your sins in this life and then you'll seek to go back and reincarnate to escape that flame that makes your weak, uh, virtuous mind shriek and suffer in that state because it can't hold the divine light. So I thought that was an interesting way to phrase it. Like, Would you rather be burned by the divine light or have your heart ripped out and weighed against a feather? Sheesh, man. I just want to keep moving forward and not even think about that. I don't know. I mean, honestly, dude, both would be pretty horrible.
Speaker 2:But I mean, you know, it's like, but the idea is like, but you come right back. You don't go to hell forever. You keep coming back forever and ever and ever until you hit that point of consciousness where you You can be one with the divine light and be free to be purely divine and traverse worlds. You can come back in here and help people if you want. And that's what I think the orbs and the angels and the advanced beings are. I loved the part where it said that man on earth is.
Speaker 2:God on earth subject to death, but God is man in the divine world immune from death. In other words, man and God are one, and both are just transient experiences of the other. So we are the consciousness of God having a limited experience on earth through the perspective of being able to experience mortality, death. God is us subjecting himself to death, but then God is also us— or I would say, rather, we are God being subjected to death.
Speaker 4:I really— I like that, and it works really well with something that I've been thinking of this week, and that's really that everybody can be put into one of two buckets. I'm going to die, so I better be the best person I can be. And the other bucket is, I'm going to die, so none of this matters, so I can do whatever I want.
Speaker 2:Yeah, good luck. You're not really being well prepared for, you know, eternity, for everything. So... It's really cool how much was packed into that text that was kind of a shift from the first nine texts of the Corpus Hermeticum. So I think it was called the key for a reason. I think it was the key to understanding the majority of this very ancient tradition. transmitted by Hermes Trismegistus, this mythical being who probably was a person who came from the world before. It's understood by many people that maybe he was Enoch from the Bible. And dude, even if you know that story, Enoch was there before the flood.
Speaker 2:Enoch was one of the people who was Noah's, I think it was like his great, great, great grandfather in that story of Noah and the ark. Now, I understand that Old Testament stories that were, you know, were a little fuzzy on exactly when they were written. I understand that exactly when that was written, that flood did not happen. I understand that these are stories that were probably passed down from, you know, many, many, many years before, maybe even from another language, from another culture, or even another iteration of man. I understand that, that they might not be 100% literal. But even if you think of Enoch and Hermes Trismegistus, as being one being, in that Old Testament story, Enoch was there before the flood. And if I remember correctly, Enoch was the father of Methuselah. And Methuselah was the father of Jared, I think, who was the father of Noah. Can you look that up? Sounds like you already are, but I wanted to give the command and hold that over you. That was right. So Enoch is the father of Methuselah. Methuselah was the oldest man that they ever recorded in the Bible, 966. And
Speaker 2:then Methuselah was the father of Jared, who was the father of Noah. So it was like Noah is like getting this message from God. You got to build an ark. And he's like, oh, crap. And he starts to have all these messages and this divine task from God. So he goes to his dad. His dad's like, you got to talk to Grandpa Enoch. Enoch can help you out, son. And then Noah goes and talks to Enoch. That's in the very crappy movie by, I don't remember who made the movie, but it was called, it was with Russell Crowe when he played Noah. I thought it quite sucked, but I also watched it a long time ago and maybe I should watch it with a new lens. It's called Noah, I think.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And it even shows Enoch in the story when Noah like goes and talks to his great-grandpa, his great-great-grandpa Enoch. So even in the biblical story, Enoch is a pre-flood person. So it's not that crazy to understand this Hermes Trismegistus figure that was passed down through Egypt since even before the Christian era. And as early as academics place is 200 BC through the papyri that they have out of Egypt saying this text claims authority to Hermes Trismegistus, the thrice greatest one. To think of him in the context of being Enoch, that is a pre-flood person in the biblical truth. Do you see what I'm trying to say here?
Speaker 2:That it's not that crazy to think that there were people from the world before who brought this knowledge into our current iteration of man. And, you know, I think this was a pretty well accepted and understood thing. And over time it became so systematic that like, if you were a priest in Egypt, it's like, oh, thank God I can sit in the temple all day and talk to Pharaohs and be fed bread by the slaves. And like, they don't have to go work out in the sun.
Speaker 2:And it was like kind of a luxurious thing at a certain point. And it kind of fell away from what it originally was thousands of years before. Like Egypt is the first culture we can see in history that like, had this extreme huge peak, and then eventually fell away and got dumber and dumber and dumber. Because I think many, and when I say dumber, I mean spiritually, you know, in that sense. Because I think many, many thousands of years ago, Egypt was a different thing with its understanding of, it had the mysteries and the initiatic processes that were happening in these temples and people from all over the ancient world were going there. And then over time, that system fell away. The priestly class became a thing of luxury and subjugation and, you know, kind of like nobility. And, you know, then Greece started conquering the known world with Alexander.
Speaker 2:And then, you know, comes the Roman Empire all this time later and just things fell away from what they were. And then we just completely forgot the knowledge that was transmitted, all that. time ago. And meanwhile, these traditions still exist through the Knights Templar and through, you know, through the Rosicrucians. And people are like, probably thinking, well, how do they exist through the Knights Templar? They only supposedly popped up a thousand years ago. In a sense, yes, they did.
Speaker 2:But then in another sense, it's how what they descend from, which is a continuation of that transmission, which is, you know, this Gnostic tradition out of the first century that through the siblings of Jesus Christ started their own movement of Christianity and their own orders. And then over a thousand years that descended and its movement grew to a certain point, was suppressed by the church. And they eventually into the public sprang forth a thousand years later as the Knights Templar.
Speaker 2:So when they came public a thousand years ago, that doesn't really mean that the tradition itself that they held spiritually began, but rather the feudal order of Knights in the medieval world. sprang forth with a flag and said, we are the Knights Templar. But there was a spiritual tradition within the order that existed for many thousands of years going back to, you know, the flood world all the way to, you know, when I would wager to be the world before the flood. So anyway, I'm going to stop it there. I don't want to talk in circles.
Speaker 2:I love you guys very much. And thank you for supporting the show. Thank you for propelling us forward and helping us uplift humanity. And, um, I'm just really in a crazy mood lately to just act up and empower people to, uh, have mass sightings. So I've kind of been doing this thing on social media where I'm encouraging people to go out and film and then comment in, in my, uh, you know, replies with footage of orbs, beings of light saying prayer, getting them to come through divine contact, and then trying to share that and boost it to get it out there and sort of, uh, you know, flood the internet with contact footage. So I'm really in a mood right now to just encourage people to go out, film, get footage. The government talks and talks and talks and talks about getting all of this, these recovered craft. We have 25 of them. Oh my God.
Speaker 2:What hangar could hold 25 UFOs? I mean, you know, I'm not saying that they don't have the land mass in a facility in Nevada somewhere to do that, but I sure, you know, don't think they're filling them. I don't think they have a single one, if I'm being honest. And I think that it's time for us to stop sitting back and just listening to them pump out crap. We can go take it into our own hands and do it ourselves and just put the footage out there, get our own data and just crowdsource this thing. And through the will of the people, just start sending it, just blast it out there and show people. It's so easy to have a positive contact experience with the divine through prayer. So go out there, film. I'm encouraging people, go film. Go have a direct personal experience with God.
Speaker 2:Don't sit around twiddling your thumbs, afraid, letting the government make you a zombie, afraid of your own shadow, and you're scared to even look up. Don't be that. Don't give in to fear. I think to listen to someone else say you should be afraid to communicate with this, you should be afraid to talk to this, and then believe them is a show of weak faith. Because in my mind, the way I was raised, Jesus Christ is the most powerful name that even demons tremble at this name in fear. So how is it possible to go out with a genuine intention in my heart to make contact with God, with the Holy Spirit, with angels of light, invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and I'm somehow scared that something bad is going to happen? That just shows weak faith. So let's all be a little bold here.
Speaker 2:Go out. Do it on our own. Make contact with God. I mean, it's not that crazy here. It's not like we're saying, you know, walk in a circle three times and then, you know, do 40 Hail Marys. No, it's like literally just talk to God. Just like, hey, Holy Spirit, you know, please show me a sign. Bam. Film it. Bam. Put it out there.
Speaker 1:Bam.
Speaker 2:You just did more than the government has done. You know, so anyway, thank you guys for supporting. and we'll see you next week I hope you enjoyed this one bye.
